    New York Steak

This is my second time dining at Ingredients. My boyfriend's friend, Marley, and his team have made both experiences perfect. As we celebrated our anniversary at dinner, we spoiled ourselves with the Chicken Momo Appetizer, the New York Steak, Carne Asada with Mashed potatoes, and the Angus Burger. Everything was delicious! My favorite dish is definitely the momo. the momo itself is so flavorful, but the cherry on top is the sauce that its paired with. We practically lick the plate clean. Although we just ate there last night, i'm craving to go back again lol. This is the perfect date night spot as its very intimate.

I stumbled upon this place walking around the neighborhood on a sunny day, and feel so lucky! The food is so good and the service was impeccable. I got a table alone and they took really good care of me. I ordered two of the specials that day, a short rib for the main, and a tuna roll for the appetizer. The short rib was falling off the bone and melt in your mouth tender. It was so good. I wish I took a picture before I demolished it. The sushi was amazing- perfect cut, flavor and spice. I was shocked at the quality for it not being a sushi place. The ambiance is cute and warm. Has a classic American fine dining feel with a bit of modernity. It's elegant without being posh or elaborate which makes it feel accessible. I saw couples on dates, families with children, and friends meeting up. I think anyone can enjoy their time here. I know I will definitely be back with friends.

This is a real find from my Yelp recommendations. My friend and I had our TGIF dinner here and the meal was excellent. We shared the chicken momo, delight of the East Asia (Tuna with Seaweed), Fuyu Persimmon Carpaccio and Burrata salad, Carne Asada and Apple Gratin. Every dish was excellent and is what happens when fusion is done right. Our favorite was the chicken momo and it's a must order. We ordered just the right amount of food. The restaurant is your classic neighborhood spot in SF - it gives very warm and inviting vibes as you enter. Service was good but not fussy. With tax and tip, this was about $80 per person - excellent value for SF dining these days. Highly recommended!!!

Mimi, starter bread, burger and fries, celery soup were all DELICIOUS. A new favorite of ours! Very kid friendly. Also, SUPER CLEAN BATHROOM. I love a clean bathroom in a restaurant as a mom but also because it makes me feel like they care about their kitchen. We will be back and often. Service was wonderful- adore when the server knows food and can speak from a good base of culinary knowledge.

I absolutely love this place. The staff were very nice.. It's a cozy little restaurant. The bread was light and fluffy. I had the New York steak, but also sampled my friend's salmon and other friend's carne asada. Everything was cooked to perfection. It was my friend's birthday and they brought her some ice cream that we all sampled. It was very, very good. Everyone was satisfied. If I lived in the area, I'd definitely be a repeat customer.

Came by for dinner the other night and it was a surprisingly decent and tasty dinner. Made a reservation and our table was ready upon arrival. The restaurant was maybe 10% full on a Sunday evening during the peak dinner hour. Parking was available on the street a few blocks away. Staff throughout the evening were cordial, providing recommendations, and checking up with us throughout the evening. Started off with the complimentary dinner rolls with butter and it was ok. The bread were baked to a golden brown and the butter was quite hard... Started off with the gambas and they were gigantic. This appetizer consisted of 4 gigantic prawns cooked to perfection over a thick crostini and some avocado mousse. The momos were also excellent. Super flavorful, a perfectly delicate skin with some nice soup on the inside. This was also served over a bed of tasty sauce. The carne asada entree was also excellent. The hanger steak was requested and came out to a perfect medium rare. The steak was perfectly seasoned and had a phenomenal crust. The complementary vegetables were perfectly cooked too. The New Zealand king salmon was decent. The salmon was cooked to a medium towards a medium well and also had a perfect crispy skin. I loved the charred vegetables along with the mashed potatoes that came with the entree. Ended off the meal with the apple gratin which was tasty and flavorful. ~$80/head after tax and gratuity for dinner.

Had a group dinner here and was pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed this spot. We were able to make reservations same day for a Friday and we were glad we did because the restaurant got packed by the middle of our dinner. Service was impeccable and food was delectable. Highlights King salmon (5/5)- the salmon was perfectly flaky and tender with the perfectly crispy. The puree sauce was rich and paired perfectly with the salmon. Love the crunch on the cauliflower which was a nice change in texture. I highly recommend this as an entree. Chicken momo (5/5)- I love how thin the skin was and the sauce perfectly coated the dumplings without feeling too heavy. Shrimp Gambas (4.7/5)- beautifully presented and flavorful. Fiancee enjoyed the New York strip and said it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The chef was so sweet and brought out a mango sorbet and a gelato. You can tell they make their desserts fresh. I highly recommend their desserts! Great spot, fresh ingredients and friendly service makes for the best restaurants. I highly recommend this spot.

I love the delicious and creative flavors. Great ambiance, food, and service with a smile. I recommend the Momos and the Carne Asada for a gustatory tour du force

Everything was delicious! Burrata salad was worth 45 minutes driving. The best burrata I've ever tried. Carne asada with polenta was also delicious with perfectly cooked hanger steak.

Host was nice and welcoming. Our server was awkward and not all there. Mistakenly input our order into the kitchen incorrectly which later was confirmed on our receipt. Ordered a drink and had to remind him 3x of my drink order only to then finally be told it was sold out -.- The food was ok. The octopus appetizer was good with a nice char flavor and tender chewiness. The carne asada was good but nothing wow about it. The paparadelle wild mushroom was lacking flavor and tasted bland. Ambiance was nice though.

My husband saw this place advertised on the internet, we decided to try it so we made reservations & went there this evening. Parking is a challenge in Noe Valley so it took us a few minutes to find a spot on the street approx a block away. We were warmly greeted on arrival at the restaurant by Mariana - the charming hostess, & led to our table at the far end of the restaurant. The space is not too big so the tables are strategically arranged, making it a little narrow squeeze navigating between tables when people are seated. The decor is lovely & the place has a very pleasant ambiance. Our server Marley - a friendly young man who was very accommodating of all our requests. We were presented with complimentary warm delicious bread rolls & butter. We ordered the momos, which we had read all about on the Yelp reviews, & they certainly didn't disappoint. The sauce that accompanied the momos was so delectable, I had to request for another serving of bread to sop it all up! We also ordered the charred brussel sprouts & toasted grape salad and the gems of California beets salad - both were beautifully presented & combined a delicious blend of flavors. The food was amazing, the service attentive! We didn't want to have too big of a meal since we were heading to a show at the Herbst Theatre after dinner so we didn't order entrees or desserts. We plan to go back again soon. I would recommend trying out this neighborhood gem.

A Culinary Gem Blending Nepal & America in Pure Luxury From the moment you step into Ingredients SF, you can feel that this isn't just another restaurant -- it's a curated experience. As the first and best luxury Nepali-American fusion establishment, it seamlessly weaves together the rich, aromatic traditions of Nepal with the refined elegance of modern American cuisine. Every detail feels intentional. The warm yet elevated ambiance sets the stage, while the staff exudes the kind of attentiveness that makes you feel both at home and indulged. The menu reads like a love letter to two cultures -- think bold Himalayan spices meeting California's farm-to-table freshness, plated with artistry worthy of a fine dining gallery. The flavors are extraordinary. From delicate momo dumplings elevated with seasonal garnishes, to perfectly seared meats infused with subtle spice profiles, every bite tells a story of heritage, innovation, and craftsmanship. Even the cocktails and mocktails feel like an extension of the vision -- balanced, creative, and memorable. Ingredients SF doesn't just serve food; it offers a journey. For anyone seeking a dining experience that is both culturally rich and luxuriously modern, this is a must-visit destination. A new standard has been set for fusion cuisine in San Francisco.

Service was great and food was delicious! Ambiance was on point. My fav appetizer was the jumbo prawn and fav entree was king salmon. But everything else was bomb as well, including dessert.

The format is a fixed daily menu with two choices per course across four courses. I went with the cured salmon salad, gulf shrimp risotto, seared branzino, and milk chocolate panna cotta. It seems like this place is an asian fusion brunch place incorporating french dishes into thai/asian themed dishes which is up our alley. We made a reservation at 1:45 PM and we had to wait for about an extra 30 minutes before getting seated. Initially, I wanted to try their crab fried rice but unfortunately they were out of crab. We decided to get the Alcatraz Escape and the Brioche french toast which were recommended by the wait staff. The staff was generally friendly and accommodating but I can tell they were swamped and stressed out with all the people they were trying to serve. The food itself tasted decent, the Alcatraz Escape had a tasty flavor which incorporates tom yum paste (sweet, sour, tangy flavor) into their scramble with about 4 shrimps. The side of crispy chicken was good but nothing that stood out to us. The brioche was soft but there wasn't much flavoring besides the fruits and caramelized banana. It was served with evaporated milk which made the brioche soft but not adding much flavor to it. The price however was quite pricey. For two dishes as a side we paid around $78 with tax and tip.

The produce is sourced from a tight network of local farms. But it's not as exceptional as it used to be. The San Francisco burger scene has caught up, and Nopa's burger has lost its specialness...but that doesn't mean Nopa has. Nopa opened in 2006 inside a converted bank - high ceilings, a massive bar, a communal table, just - awesome vibes. From day one it became an industry restaurant - One of the few spots in the city where you could show up late night, order off a menu that changes daily, and know the food is going to be dialed in. They specialize in wood-fired cooking, which is why their thick cut, brined pork chop with baked beans is so popular - and...it's good, but their fried chicken is quickly becoming their best seller and THAT, was PERFECT. Crispy skin, juicy underneath, seasoned beautifully. But the dish that so perfectly encapsulates what Nopa is...was this salad. Just trout, and whatever was good at the farm that week. That's Nopa. A neighborhood kitchen, cooking what's in season, for the people who live down the street, on a menu that's always changing. Twenty years in, it's still full every night. When we arrived, the hostess told us we would not be able to sit in any of the currently empty booths because reservations were coming in later. I expressed to the host that though I was sorry I had forgotten to add accommodation, that this was just not the way to handle the problem. I was able to speak to the manager, who had been outside taking orders and was clearly working very hard that day. (Her name is quite uncommon so I'm just going to call her M, but I really appreciate your help!) She asked me what my concern was, and I told her, at which point she asked me to wait nearby while she figured out if she could rearrange some tables for us. The bartender was incredibly kind and served me while I waited, and distracted me from imminent tears by sharing intricate details about each drink he was making. The manager returned and said that she had already seated my mother in a new space and escorted me to the table, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the meal. At the beginning of the menu, they list the ingredients that are currently in season, and at the back of the menu, there is a color wheel, telling you the benefits of the colors of food. (Purple foods can assist with memory and brain function!). We ordered the asparagus, which was in season, spicy cucumber, and the Aji grill for two. The tofu that came with the grill for two was my favorite thing that we ate. I think you can judge a vegan / vegetarian restaurant by their treatment of tofu. Perfectly seasoned with a crispy outside and I would come back just for this. The cauliflower steak was also pretty tasty. The cocktails are excellent, we tried the BLACKPINK and my mother tried the espressotini and we were really happy with both. I don't know how popular their bar scene is, but I imagine it would be a nice way to meet other vegan and vegetarian folks over light bites. Our waiter Daniel made sure to give us the Mother's Day special dessert the restaurant had created, which was an avocado Grenache with fresh berries. If the experience had started with less stress, this review would be five stars, but I'm very grateful to the staff for doing what they could to correct it and ensure that we had a great Mother's Day!
