Views: 10/10 Service : 9/10 Food: 8/10 Drinks: 10/10 I was finally able to make it over to this place. As a rooftop connoisseur, this place was on my list for a while. I will say that this place is absolutely stunning and beautiful compared to a lot of others San Francisco rooftops that I have visited. This is located into the tenderloin, so please be aware that you will have to find your own street parking but parking a garage is preferred. This place has stunning views nonetheless, it's very chill and in a relaxing setting. The music is not overpowering, which is nice enough to have a conversation without having it overly crowded with 50 other people around you. I've definitely been back here a few times to take other friends and family and I will continue to do so. There are also heaters outside when it's very cold, chilly and windy. The staff is amazing as they are also willing to accommodate you and give you blankets if needed. Can't wait to go back!

Checking out another rooftop spot near the Orpheum Theater for a before show meal and drinks. I liked the food offerings better than other spots nearby, I didn't like the liquor selection here as my particular liquor only had 3 choices none of which I would normally pick. The pour was quite healthy I must say. Cleanliness of floor in these places seems to be lacking power washing regularly. Quality and portion size of food was excellent.

Incredibly beautiful and the fire places were a nice touch. Loved the food. The host was so kind and very friendly. The server was a little deadpanned but still attentive. If it wasn't so windy, it would've been the perfect day but I still highly recommend to try if you're in the area!

This is the rooftop restaurant at the Timbri Hotel. While staying at the hotel, a friend and I went upstairs one night to grab dinner. The hostess practically scoffed at us when we said we didn't have reservations. Looking around, there was hardly anyone in the restaurant, both on the inside or the deck patio. They reluctantly let us sit outside. We ordered drinks and dinner. I got the fish and chips, which was two large pieces, but as I bit in, I realized it was mostly the batter that was overly thick but also very greasy. The fish itself was crumbly and didn't hold its form. Their dill tartar sauce was good for dipping, though. The shoestring fries were seasoned well but overall pretty average as far as fries go. My friend felt the same about the dish that he ordered. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, making sure our water glasses were filled. As the dinner went on, I couldn't help but notice that the place never filled up, not even the rooftop deck with views of the city; making me wonder why they were so perturbed we didn't have a reservation when we arrived. If you're staying at the Timbri and need a place for dinner, Rise Over Run isn't a bad option, just make sure you (apparently) have a reservation first.

Super cute rooftop bar and restaurant. Fantastic views of the city and the greenhouse structure is gorgeous. Regardless of the weather you'll enjoy it. There's indoor seating, and the outdoor seating includes blankets and heaters. I've been a few times now and the service is always good/attentive too. Previous visits I was there for dinner, but at my most recent visit I was there for brunch so I ordered the Veggie Breakfast Hash. It was delicious (perfectly poached egg and nicely seasoned) - only thing missing was a sprinkle of cheese or sour cream lol. Bartender wasn't present so the only drink options that morning were a mimosa or a bloody mary, but if you're there when the bartender is then definitely give their cocktails a try. They're good!

This place is on the roof of the Timbri Hotel. (Enter the lobby, pass the front desk, veer right to the elevators, press 13 on the screen.) The hotel is unfortunately across from the shady tenderloin, but once you enter the lobby everything feels high end. Once on the rooftop we had a great spot with a great view. The service was spotty but the food was great. Especially the fried chicken. Order it! We hit this spot before a concert at the Warfield. The line for the Warfield wraps the block all the way to the front of the hotel. As we finished dinner we got right in line.

2 of us came for a Saturday morning brunch around 10 AM a few weeks back. Service was very slow, despite us being one of only 3 occupied tables. Food was boring and bland, it was almost impressive how they could make eggs, toast, and sausage taste like... air. Beautiful views from the outdoor rooftop seating area, but when we arrived and I asked to be seated out there, we were told we couldn't because "it doesn't open until 11 AM." Which was totally no problem, I figured since it was so slow, it's probably easier to keep the customers inside. But then a group arrived at 10:30 AM and were promptly seated outside when they asked to be lol. So that was a bit of a letdown, but even the indoor seating is in a beautiful greenhouse-like setting. I certainly expected the food and service to be better for how pretty the restaurant is.

Couscous with added chicken (couscous was great, though the chicken was a little dry)

Rooftop bars are rare in SF, and this one is great! We were able to get a table on Friday night without a reservation (though it was a bit difficult getting seated outside). All of the servers were friendly and attentive, making sure we had blankets and refilling our waters. The drinks and food were great. Shoutout to the fried chicken & biscuits as well as the couscous.

The chicken and waffles were amazing! As well as the service and ambiance was amazing.

    Burrata
    Kat N.

All the dishes we ordered were actually really good except for the steak. Steak was supposed to medium rare and it was like well done and very dry. The burrata was delicious. A good portion and really creamy. Even though the crab cakes were small, it was all crab and good quality. The fried chicken was crispy and good (just slightly too salty). The main concern was the service. It was so slow and the server was basically non-existent. And it was so cold in the solarium. We asked them to keep the doors closed but they kept opening them. It's one of the worst service I've had in a long time.

Very cute new rooftop bar! Even in this rainy weather is was lovely, they have a greenhouse structure where the bar is set up and seating and there is also lots of seating outside. Can't wait to come back in the summer. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They gave us a side of fries even though it wasn't on the menu. The drinks were different and good. Unfortunately no happy hour.

Came before a show with a reservation at 5 pm. Wasn't crowded at all. We sat inside the greenhouse. Such a beautiful spot with plenty of outdoor seating. Would be nice to come here when the weather is warmer. We had the Cheeseburger and fries with cocktails. All hit the spot. Service was kind and mostly served by the bartenders.

This is a beautiful rooftop restaurant. There's outdoor seating with greenery and a beautiful view. The service was nice and friendly. I got the breakfast sandwich and it was bombbb. The bread was fluffy but not heavy, the egg was well seasoned and I liked the sauce.

Planning to go in December. Would love a view of the city, but can't handle the cold. Are there any heatlamps available in outdoor seating? Thank you!

    Yes there are many

What's the best seating? Garden or solarium?

Depends on the weather! If it's nice out, definitely ask for the garden seating. I'd recommend the "fire pit" area if it's available ( it's shaded and you can see the view). The solarium is super cool if it's chilly out, though.

Is there a minimum spend limit for a group reservation of 25?

How is the music during the week?

    Do hotel guests need reservations?

You can go up the host without a reservation.

Is there a dj on the weekends?

Hi Alea, We don't have a dj on the weekends, however, we do have a dj every Thursday from 7pm-10pm on the rooftop terrace.

    Are dogs allowed?

Hi Julie, Thanks for reaching out. We only allow service animals in our restaurants.

Friendly, great banter, helpful throughout the escape. The escape game is split across multiple rooms with a good diversity of puzzles. Don't want to spoil too much here but they were good challenges. Drinks we incorporated throughout and presented like test tubes that were drinkable in a gulp, kind of like a cocktail shot. Personally, I found the first two drinks to be a bit too sweet, but I liked the third, which was coconut forward. The price is definitely a bit more costly. It was $100/person for a party of five. I understand that it was an escape room + the staff + the cocktails. If you max out the party size, it's about $85-ish per person which I think is pretty solid. Still very unique and fun and glad I got to try it

The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.
