Couscous with added chicken (couscous was great, though the chicken was a little dry)
Clarissa C.

Rooftop bars are rare in SF, and this one is great! We were able to get a table on Friday night without a reservation (though it was a bit difficult getting seated outside). All of the servers were friendly and attentive, making sure we had blankets and refilling our waters. The drinks and food were great. Shoutout to the fried chicken & biscuits as well as the couscous.

Very cute new rooftop bar! Even in this rainy weather is was lovely, they have a greenhouse structure where the bar is set up and seating and there is also lots of seating outside. Can't wait to come back in the summer. The staff were friendly and accommodating. They gave us a side of fries even though it wasn't on the menu. The drinks were different and good. Unfortunately no happy hour.

Simple menu but tasty. The sweet and spicy preserved lemon was good in the couscous but it didn't have the rich broth and additional vegetables I'm used to. The crab cakes were great. And the fish and chips were outstanding. They made use fantastic mocktails even though it wasn't on the menu.

All the dishes we ordered were actually really good except for the steak. Steak was supposed to medium rare and it was like well done and very dry. The burrata was delicious. A good portion and really creamy. Even though the crab cakes were small, it was all crab and good quality. The fried chicken was crispy and good (just slightly too salty). The main concern was the service. It was so slow and the server was basically non-existent. And it was so cold in the solarium. We asked them to keep the doors closed but they kept opening them. It's one of the worst service I've had in a long time.

Came before a show with a reservation at 5 pm. Wasn't crowded at all. We sat inside the greenhouse. Such a beautiful spot with plenty of outdoor seating. Would be nice to come here when the weather is warmer. We had the Cheeseburger and fries with cocktails. All hit the spot. Service was kind and mostly served by the bartenders.

Came here for a date and was surprised at the food quality since a lot of reviews mentioned that there was room for improvement there. Good: - The solarium is beautiful and watching the sun set from inside is magical, it's a great date spot - The burrata was amazing and I loved the bread it came with too - nice and grilled and had this jam on it that was sweet - The royale with cheese was huge and tasty, average burger but hit the spot - The broccolini was amazing, really nice and lots of kick Bad: - Location is sketch given the Tenderloin but it's a really nice place once you get inside - Service is a bit slow and a little curt - Expensive Overall would come again!

Restaurant is located in the Hilton Curio Collection. Used to be The Line Hotel. Elevators take you to the roof top restaurant which has amazing views of the city. The dining and bar areas are decorated nicely, mid-century modern vibe. Everything we order tasted good. We went for brunch before the Broadway Show at Orpheum Theater, a 10 min. walk. Would recommend for those looking for a good place to dine before or after the show.

While on a work trip to SF, I wanted to unwind and enjoy the sunset...and boy did I HIT THE JACKPOT! This private, cozy and intimate rooftop gave all the relaxation and sunset views imaginable! The service staff was very prompt and helped me decide on a mocktail during my visit. I ended up ordering food to go (forgot to take a photo) and it was absolutely delicious. Their take on a classic cheeseburger was refreshing and tasty.

Based on the reviews, this spot is known for its brunch and rooftop scene. I visited on a Friday evening with a 9 PM reservation. Since my partner and I were staying at the hotel, it seemed like a convenient choice. The host and servers were kind and attentive. We started with the crab cakes, which I appreciated for being packed with Dungeness crab. They were a bit salty for our taste but still delicious. For our mains, we opted for the fried chicken--a popular choice--which came with biscuits and three sauce options. While tasty, it didn't stand out. My partner had the cheeseburger, which he also found good but not exceptional. The ambiance at Rise Over Run is romantic--ideal for a date night or an evening out with friends. Given the hotel's location, I recommend taking public transportation or an Uber.

Cute cocktail bar on the top of a hotel. We came here at night as a group of 6 and we were able to get seated pretty quickly inside. We were able to go outside and enjoy the views of the city. I tried the Szechuan of a Kind ($18), which I was hoping would have more of a Szechuan spice, but it was still unique and good. I would come back here again if I was in the area!

We spent a week at the Timbri recently and although we mostly dined out, we were very glad to have Rise Over Run on the rooftop. We ordered some food to take down to our room one evening and it hit the spot so we did make an effort to have breakfast at the restaurant one morning during our stay, but unfortunately we arrived only 20 minutes before they were closing so we had to get breakfast as take out as well. That gave us an opportunity to walk around the rooftop and we did take some photos (which I have added below) but the differences between the hours posted online vs the hours posted at the actual location do differ a bit, so be aware. There was also some difference in the online menus and in-restaurant menus which led to some confusion. I wasn't able to get exactly what I had planned prior, but it worked out in the end. The staff was nice and invited me into the small interior area with our small dog, even though I am always respectful and stay in the exterior spaces with her. It was quite windy though, so that was a nice respite. The food was tasty and our room was so nice at the hotel we did not mind taking the food back. This would be a nice spot to stop for some drinks, light eats and lovely views if you are in the area and if you are a guest at the hotel, there is definitely no excuse to miss it.

...what a great spot, roof top! & overlooking the beautiful city! It's in the tenderloin just to be fair, I didn't expect it to be so nice..but man I'm sure glad this establishment didn't disappoint. We took an uber from our Airbnb & got dropped right in front (good idea if you aren't staying at the Timbri Hotel, which is where it's located) otherwise valet will charge 80$ for parking, nevertheless i booked a table outdoors for an early bday dinner for my husband. He was pleasantly surprised & impressed. Food & vibe was great & just what we needed. Service was attentive & professional. Music was my favorite.. would definitely recommend & we will love to come back! Food decently priced. Totally worth it! They are doing something special at this establishment!

3.5 stars! Had a few drinks here and the view was beautiful! Great date spot. Located on the Hilton rooftop, the glass interior was really cool and there is great landscaping with fire pits, heat lamps, and a city view. It was quiet and it closes pretty early, which was nice for us. The drinks were all pretty strange, and they didn't have some standard liqueurs such as amaretto which I thought was a little odd for a bar. Location was also a little iffy since it was the Tenderloin at night. The cocktails we did have were okay / a little off but the presentation was nice! Also had a good tiramisu. A really fun evening with a gorgeous view!

Planning to go in December. Would love a view of the city, but can't handle the cold. Are there any heatlamps available in outdoor seating? Thank you!

Yes there are many

What's the best seating? Garden or solarium?

Depends on the weather! If it's nice out, definitely ask for the garden seating. I'd recommend the "fire pit" area if it's available ( it's shaded and you can see the view). The solarium is super cool if it's chilly out, though.

Is there a dj on the weekends?

Hi Alea, We don't have a dj on the weekends, however, we do have a dj every Thursday from 7pm-10pm on the rooftop terrace.

I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.

I think in many ways, Blind Pig just fell a little flat. I would like to say that the service here was amazing. A bartender who sat with you to talk about the menu, the process, and your experience very passionately and intently.  However, I think that the bar program is a little unrefined. Every drink had 10,000 ingredients, and most of them did not work together. If the drink did work together, you just tasted nothing because everything blended together and you couldn't taste any special or fun ingredients.  Unfortunately, I don't think this spot is worth looking for.

Seeing that it was named one of the top 50 best bars in North American, we had to check it out! We came in a Thursday night in mid-April about 9:45 PM. They have security outside thar checks IDs & also manages the queue in case the bar gets too crowded. We had no issues getting in, but there were zero indoor seats available - both the bar & table seating. Thankfully, they have a really cozy & well-lit patio area. The waitress let us know that even the outdoor patio has table-side service, so we made ourselves comfortable on the outdoor bench & within seconds she had brought us waters & cocktail menus. Weather outside was really nice, so I'm glad we actually sat outside. Each cocktail is $20, which definitely is a little steep, but I think the creativity, quality, & prestige of being named a top 50 bar supports the price. Each part of the menu is organized by liquor ie whiskey, vodka, brandy, gin, etc. We tried 4 drinks total. I only took menu photos of the pages we ordered from but they have a lot more selections. We ordered the Kung Fu Pandan, Silky Street, Rice Rice Baby, & Tropical Gangsta. We had some favorites over others, but all were very well crafted! The drinks came out pretty quickly considering how busy it was. The only hiccup was our final drink took quite a while. Turns out the ticket machine malfunctioned & deleted orders put in & caused a back-up. The waitress was so apologetic & ended up comp-ing 2 drinks, which she definitely didn't have to but it speaks volumes to the high standards they hold themselves to & their customer service. Overall, highly highly recommend checking this place out for a fun night out or post-dinner treat! Glad we made the decision to stop in!
