    PEACHY SALAD

My favorite!! Love the peachy with extra chicken. Healthy and good. People are nice. Clean restaurant.

I went for dinner and there wasn't a line. I made my own salad and the server was patient with all the ingredients I chose. The serving was generous and I ended up having leftovers, which still tasted good the next day. I also had a quiet dining experience despite being in a busy part of the city.

Tried the Beetnik salad. Fresh & yummy. Decent portion. Good amount of dressing with options for light, medium, & heavy. Order your food, take it, pay it, & find a seat. Communal cafeteria type seating. Self clean up.

JING'S CHILI CRISP SALAD, PEACHY SALAD

My first experience at a Mixt & it was SO delicious! Service was so quick & staff were very friendly. Great location in Inner Sunset. Ingredients are fresh! So many salad options & you can even make your own salad. I got the Jing Chili Crisp salad and substituted the chicken for tofu - great flavor, especially loved the tofu! Loved the dressing as well and overall texture. My friend got the Peachy Salad and she enjoyed as well - particularly the chicken. Portion sizes are very fair along with the pricing. Ambiance is modern aesthetic in there. Only downside is the high ceilings make the environment very loud, sometimes making it hard to have conversations. Love this place & will be back!

As with other MIXT locations, the Inner Sunset restaurant is much more than just another fast casual salad joint with the option to build your own. Their dressings are terrific and the dishes are thoughtfully composed, not just a slapdash amalgam of buzzy ingredients. That said, my major note is that the amount of greens in the box (kale in my case) is simply absurd. It is a textbook case of shrinkflation wherein the container appears full but only the top quarter has anything besides kale. The greens are fresh (you could actually make a second meal with them), but they throw the ratios way out whack. If you didn't remove some of it, the dressing would be spread way too thin and you'd be hunting for flavor amid the roughage. You can see in my two photos the "before" and "after" shots: the first immediately after opening the box and the second after having taken out about half the kale but none of the other ingredients. The overall volume drops precipitously. After rejiggering the ratios, it is a wonderful meal, but these containers ought to have a better balance. Right now, you could make 75% of the salad for $1 at the grocery. That said, the Parmesan Peppercorn dressing is fire.

This place is a must! Friendly staff and very clean restaurant. Salads are so yummy!!

    Dirty plastic found in salad!

They do not wash the greens! I found a large piece of dirty irrigation hose in my salad! When you pay $20 for a salad, you expect it to be delicious. I hope management changes policy and they start washing and drying the greens before serving to customers.

First time here and it was delicious and fresh. Relatively healthy eating out after the California Academy of Sciences.

So excited to have a new healthy addition in the neighborhood -- yay Mixt! This place is exactly what we needed: fresh, nourishing, and beautifully done. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and welcoming. You could tell the team really put effort into making the store launch feel special. There was great energy, lots of smiles, and even some little launch perks that made it fun to check out. The salads? Delicious. You can tell they meticulously weigh every ingredient -- nothing felt overdone or skimped on. Everything looked super fresh, vibrant, and thoughtfully presented. Bonus points for the beautiful space. It's clean, modern, and inviting -- a place you actually want to sit and enjoy your meal, not just grab and go.

A Perfect Celebration at Greens…read more We celebrated Mother's Day and a birthday at Greens Restaurant, and it was nothing short of magical. The Marina weather was flawless, the Fort Mason views were stunning, and--miraculously--parking was plentiful. A perfect start. We arrived early and were warmly welcomed by a gracious front desk who seated us with ease, even gifting us beautiful roses at the table. The service was outstanding--attentive without being intrusive (our water glasses never dipped below two‑thirds full). The food exceeded expectations. Highlights included incredibly fresh spring rolls, a crave‑worthy falafel platter, and the Asparagus Pizza, which was crisp, bright, and refreshingly different with lemon ricotta and herbs. Dessert sealed the experience--the Chocolate Hazelnut Passion Fruit Torte was indulgent, balanced, and unforgettable. Why we loved Greens: * Outstanding views * Plentiful parking * Attentive, thoughtful service * Fresh, seasonal, local ingredients Greens delivered thoughtful hospitality, inspired vegetarian cuisine, and a serene setting--an ideal place for a special celebration. For food we got the following: -Dahi Sev Puri - this was my favorite dish, really fun to eat and great flavors. -Chole Bhature - this was also great! It felt like eating a savory rice crispy cereal, but not in a bad way :P -Garlic Naan - pretty decent but nothing special -Jalebi - I was really excited to try this dessert. I looooved the texture (crunchy outside, with a gooey inside) but the actual flavor was not my favorite. To me, it tasted very similar to chlorinated water, and it was hard to get past that.. There was a different jalebi with a dipping sauce, and I wonder if that would have been better. They were out of it when we went, but I would try it again with that. Overall, we enjoyed the food, although I felt it was a little expensive for the portion sizes. We made a fairly simple request to have one ingredient served on the side, but it was missed and never acknowledged. At one point, I asked for an extra napkin, and it was carelessly dropped onto one of our dirty plates. We were also asked to clear the table almost immediately after paying to make room for upcoming parties (as is their right, but they could have easily notified us of this earlier so we could plan accordingly - and the service hadn't felt particularly considerate or attentive up to that point). I understand they may have been understaffed, but the way the service was handled felt very avoidable. I wouldn't recommend unless trying authentic dishes is your top priority.

We ordered the Menemen and asked to add sujuk. The flavors were okay, but the bread that came with the plate was completely soggy, which really ruined the meal. I actually had to order a Simit on the side just so I could enjoy my breakfast with decent bread. We initially looked at the full Turkish breakfast, but at $42, it definitely didn't feel worth the price. The portion and variety of items are pretty limited for that price point, and it just doesn't give you that rich, endless spread you expect from an authentic Turkish breakfast experience. On a positive note, the baklava and tea were absolutely amazing! Overall, it was just okay. As someone who has been to many Turkish restaurants, I know how incredible and diverse the cuisine can be. They really need to step up the variety and value.

Lucky Creation hosted in the heart of SF Chinatown is a long time favorite of locals and visitors for their vegetarian and meat alternative dishes. There's not much parking in this part of town so be prepared to try to squeeze into street parking or park further away and walk. Otherwise, public transportation is always an option! For us, we typically just drop one of us off and circle the block while they grab the goodies. Their selection of wheat gluten dishes have flavor and texture profiles reflecting popular meat dishes like sweet and sour, curry, and BBQ pork. Each bite has a chewy and spongy texture which seems to soak up the sauces packing bursts of flavors. Eaten cold is our favorite method but I'd imagine heating it up is also just as good. Every time we come, sweet and sour and the BBQ pork are the flavors we go home with. Most patrons buy takeout but they also have a few small tables for dine in. The place is relatively clean and open, illuminated by the bright fluorescent bulbs in the ceiling and accented by the giant mirror along the wall. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. If it's your first time, consider perusing but also just ask directly. They may have some recommendations for your craving. Overall, Lucky Creation packs classic Chinese flavors into vegetarian dishes for those with dietary restrictions or those looking to minimize meat in their meals. The quality of dishes are just as good as I remember from when I was a kid although the prices like for all things have gone up. If you're lucky enough to have plans to go into the city, consider making your way to Lucky Creation and grab a variety box to open your eyes to a meat-less diet!

Bought my tix online and waited for the day to arrive. I included the offspring and +1 for the event. Got there early and found parking basically in front, a miracle in SF. Doors opened at 5:02 and we were greeted by the chef and staff all dressed in green like the Jolly Giant of commercial fame. The tables were decorated with flowers sprouting from funny shaped radish and turnip "pots". Did I mention that the dinners have been called whimsical......... So it begins. We got two juice pairings and two alcohol pairings and both were really interesting. The local Chardonnay on lees and the martini were winners in the alcohol category whereas celery ginger kombucha and citrus drink were rulers of the nonalcoholic category. Some refills were provided, yeah! First course - Miso celeriac soup with foraged herbs, walnut dill bread with kumquat jelly and chive butter. Rich and tasty soup with great bread though two smaller pieces would have been better than one large to enjoy the spreads. Second course - Lacto-fermented beets, roasted carrot, little jellies with spicy carrot salad and hummus. Everything was unique with interesting flavors and consistencies. Loved the little jellies made with agar and the carrot salad, Wow! Third course - Mushroom and beet pub pie over purple cauliflower béchamel. Amazingly flaky vegan puff pastry, don't know how they did that without butter. Filling was earthy and savory complemented well by the béchamel. Dessert - a selection of citrus based seasonal treats including chocolate, little cake balls, candied kumquats and aquafaba. Not just great for being vegan but actually a triumph. First time trying aquafaba and it really tasted like a light, neutral whipped cream. Big fan of the candied kumquats too. They even stuck a candle in the birthday girl's bowl and led the obligatory serenade. Overall a fun experience that reflects Alex Lauritzen's passion for vegetable based cuisine, taking it fully to the fine dining level but doing it with joy and whimsy. Staff and service were attentive. This was the eighth mushroom with dinners occurring once a month. They may also do pop up a La carte service but I'm not sure.
