A friend and I walked here from Golden Gate Park and came in on a Sunday right after opening. The inside is clean and there are stools to sit with a counter to enjoy your meal. You can use a kiosk, but since they just opened the cashier was ready and willing to help. The staff here are friendly and nice. I recommend grabbing a drink to go along with your order. The spice level on the Spicy Moroccan Carrot soup and for the slaw on the fried chicken sandwich has a kick that was not expected! But it's good and flavorful. Thankfully, we asked for a couple of water cups and it helped with the spice. The packaging for the food is so cute! The bag and the boxes are very adorable. This is the first time we've ever had potato puffs. To be honest, they're the reason why we even walked into the restaurant. Thank God we did 'cause I would come here again just for the potato puffs! They're light and fluffy, yet dense. They taste like fried mashed potatoes and seem to have a cheese texture inside. But there's no cheese pull. There are other variations, but we chose the one with Parmesan cheese and it was a pretty good combo. The sauce that comes with it seems like a lemony aioli. I'm curious to try the essence of truffle next time. You get a good amount for the price. There's just enough that you'll get full, but not too little that you would've wanted another order.

Gregoire has been on my list for a while, but I never had a chance to stop by until now. We happened to be in the area, noticed there wasn't a line, and figured it was the perfect time to finally try their famous crispy potato puffs. We weren't very hungry, so we skipped the sandwiches and just ordered the potato puffs as a snack. I know they're pretty simple--basically mashed potatoes coated in batter and deep-fried--but wow, they were so good! Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and totally addictive. They came with an aioli for dipping, but honestly, I was perfectly happy eating them on their own. This definitely won't be my last visit. Next time, I'll have to come back hungry so I can finally try one of their sandwiches. I also noticed they offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, so there's something for everyone. If you're in the area and looking for a quick bite, I'd definitely recommend giving Gregoire a try!

I came on a weekday and tried the muffaletta sandwich, tempura cauliflower salad, and potato puffs with truffle. Everything was so good! I don't live too close to this location, otherwise i'd probably pick up from here a lot. I was surprised how much I liked the muffaletta with the olive tapenade and the tempura cauliflower was fried to perfection. The iconic potato puffs are a yummy side or snack. Love the new mural too!

I went to their food truck that was near the ferry building on Saturday. I went late In the afternoon on a sunny day, so they were sold out of drinks. I decided to try the sampler which had a chicken sandwich and potato puffs. I thought the sandwich was small but it was a good size. The chicken was nice and juicy. Potato puffs were light and fluffy. Overall, it was good and reasonably priced. It was less than $20 and filling.

I had to try the potato puffs after the curiosity became too much and they were delicious! If you cut them in half to cool off then you can enjoy them faster. A nice little inner sunset spot!

Before visiting, I'd heard so many great things about Gregoire, so I had to try their famous potato puffs for myself and they definitely lived up to the hype! Crispy on the outside, fluffy/soft on the inside, and perfectly seasoned, they're incredibly addictive. I can see why they're a local favorite. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Once a bar, Record Factory, Jamba Juice and now Gregoire, a bright orange eatery near GGP offering Canadian French sandwiches, salads and drinks. You can order at a kiosk or counter. I purchased the lamb and feta on ciabatta and potato puffs. There was no line and I received my takeout within ten minutes. Place is clean and bright - service is friendly. At home, I shared the food w/ my daughter. I enjoyed the spice lamb sandwich but she thinks it's too salty (feta). We thought the potato puffs are quite bland but liked the sauce that came with them. Both of us were full afterwards.

new location in the sunset (the original being berkeley), and only has a few counter seats so most people order takeout or pickup. we came to try one of the only poutines in sf, but their potato puffs stole our hearts! crispy outside and so soft inside (not dry), and they came so piping hot and fresh. I wasn't so much a fan of the fried chicken sandwich (kind of bland), and the poutine was a bit too salty, but would come back for those potato puffs!

Glad I got to try this place that opened up a couple of months ago! It definitely an order to go location as there's only a couple of seats inside though they do have some patio tables lining the sides of the building. Service was pretty fast. It was lunch time and they were juggling preorders as well. Ordered the smoked salmon salad and potato puffs. I thought the packaging was very interesting as I think it's a first that I have eaten salad off wax paper inside a paper box. I'm not sure if it works as the dressing did leak into the box so it had to be composted instead of recycled. Salad was good. It looks small but that's because of the container. I thought there was a good amount of food in there. The potato puffs were slightly disappointing. The dipping sauce leaned on the saltier side but the potato puffs itself had no seasoning (no salt). The texture of the potato puffs was good as it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Next time I come I think I'll try the bavette steak sandwich or salad as that seems to be highly ordered.

Jamba Juice? Away with the wind, but not completely gone. There's still some Jamba Juice locations throughout my big city. What we now see at the corner of 9th Avenue and Irving was a truly fancy French café that was straight from the East Bay. Say "salut" to Grégoire! Home to fried chicken sandwiches, poutine, and potato puffs, Grégoire would never disappoint. I could tell how good their food looks before they're delicious. My first order for my first visit were nine pieces of potato puffs that surrounded by a white truffle essence. Crunchy on the outside, mashed potato soft on the inside! Two words, chef's kiss! Good for takeout, but I could stay to finish all my potato puffs. Might be back to try other good eats. I wouldn't mind if Grégoire turned out French rather than Canadian. It's been ages since we lived throughout the Bay Area. I been waiting for so long to visit Montreal after my dad; I can hardly wait to find out what it's like to dine in a real Canadian café or restaurant. Seeing that Grégoire has poutine on a menu has shown me just enough. What's interesting about Grégoire was that it even has its food truck that came into Salesforce Transit Center from time to time. Two thumbs up!

San Francisco has almost any kind of cuisine from any country around the world and it's rare to not find something on a menu somewhere in the city. One thing San Francisco doesn't have is a dedicated Canadian restaurant. It seems there is almost any type of cuisine from any country and region from around the world at San Francisco restaurants. The USA's neighbor to the north cuisine dishes are not centralized under one restaurant and so you have to hunt for some Canadian dishes at different restaurants. There is one place which serves one of my favorite Canadian dishes which is poutine. On a Winter stroll in the Sunset Strip of San Francisco their is a place which used to serve purple colored Jamba Juice now serves their popular hot potatoes at Grégoire . This place serves sandwiches and wraps but the hot item on their menu is the hot potato also known as the potato puff. I was here for the poutine. I get excited over poutine because French fries , gravy, and cheese curds are my jam. The savory delicious gravy compliments the crunchy fresh fries and the cheese curds. Although the cheese curd has some cheese pull it was not as cheesy as some in SF. Overall a must try for Canadian poutine lovers. There is a place which around the block from they sell fried chicken sandwiches so you can show them the " The Bird" a new store open on the corner of 9th Ave and a new thing just "occurred" and I got the "word"they sell my favorite Canadian dish with fries, gravy, and "cheese curd" Although the Canadian dollars are colored in brown , purple , red , blue and some in "green"but this place accepts only US dollars and has my favorite gravy fries with cheese curds called" poutine "which is different from regular French fries with ketchup same "routine"a great new addition of a Canadian dish to the San Francisco food "scene"

    Bavette steak sandwich

Was excited about trying this new spot in the sunset, a branch off of a famous Berkeley joint. It's bright and clean, with a handful of stools at the window. I see it doing well with folks picking up a lunch as I did coming from work, a quick afternoon potato puff pick-me-up, or an easy picnic in the park. Fried chicken sandwich - good fry, enjoyed the slaw, but little bland and ratios were off so it's a LOT of bread (the roll's pretty dense too) on top of breading on the chicken. Would recommend getting this as salad or just skipping. Bavette steak sandwich was similarly too much bread but better since ciabatta is thinner, though bottom was soggy. Enjoyed the steak, arugula, blue cheese spread, though onions were surprisingly cold. Would reattempt this and ask for ciabatta grilled, and try the lamb. The potato puffs were a little denser than I thought they'd be, very filling, but with a lovely light crust. Seems their aioli flavor rotates, today was like Tabasco so wasn't my fave.

In researching places near where we were staying, we learned about the Italian deli and shop. We were looking forward to stopping by to check out the store and grab lunch. The store itself is very cute and charming, full of so many items - fresh meats and cheeses, imported olive oils, pastas, desserts, wine, and liquor to name a few. There is an area where you can get coffee drinks and there is a deli area for ordering sandwiches, pizzas, specialty dishes, and salads. The variety of options is plentiful. I ordered an iced coffee beverage, which was great. My significant other and I ordered a sandwich to go, which we were splitting for a light lunch back at the hotel. The person helping at the counter was not very friendly or helpful with questions. We asked for our sandwich to be made on the Dutch Crunch bread, as we were looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, when we got back to the hotel, it turned out that the sandwich was made on a regular ciabatta roll, which was not fresh. Additionally, the sandwich was mostly mixed greens. For the price, I expected more meat. With so many great food options in San Francisco, it is likely we won't stop by on future visits to the City.
