We came by on a Sunday morning before attending a film fest at the Balboa Theater across the street. The place isn't exactly a warm and cozy space. It actually has a somewhat industrial feel. And the small indoor counter seating somehow felt colder than the outdoor patio tables in the back. But I found the artwork by Karii Rürup Coleman amusing while we enjoyed our treats inside, paint chip collages depicting sea waves, blending in nicely with the blue hues of the cafe walls. The display case was well stocked around 11am, with ample options for pastries and desserts alongside a decent menu of hot food items and beverages. We got the special breakfast sandwich, regular breakfast sandwich with sausage, chocolate chip peanut butter cookie, a smooth and chocolatey iced mocha, and jasmine green tea served hot and great to sip on during this cold day in December. The sandwiches were fairly large in size, yummy buttery biscuits filled with fluffy eggs and savory breakfast meats. The cookie was on the sweet side, borderline too sweet, but delicious nonetheless. Service was satisfactory, and we didn't encounter any problems during our visit.

Seriously it has all your macros and that aioli kills me... it's so good Special sandwich but sub bacon with sausage: 5/5 partner said it was better than bacon Vanilla latte: 4/5 solid coffee. Stopped by and decided to try their cinnamon roll - Yelp's tip on asking the staff to warm it up was clutch. This was a bit on the gooey side so if that's not how you like your cinnamon roll, this might not be the place. You can grab your pastry and head down to Ocean Beach to enjoy it, since it's just a few blocks away. I think this is a fantastic neighborhood bakery that lives up to the hype.

Although it was pretty busy inside, the bar seating turnover rate is pretty high, so you'll probably get a spot as you wait for your order. Parking is tough, but that's expected in most places of SF. We ordered both the regular and special breakfast sandwiches. The biscuit IS AMAZING and is super fluffy and flavorful! I'd definitely recommend ordering the special even if it costs a few bucks more, simply because you get the lemon garlic aioli, which is to die for. The bacon and egg were cooked to perfection, and neither was overseasoned or overcooked. A sandwich is very, very filling, and even though I ate at 11:50AM, I did not feel hungry until like 5PM. This place is a staple in the local community and SF breakfast scene, so as a local, tourist, whatever you may be, this place should definitely on your TO EAT list when in the City!
Devil's teeth is my top breakfast sandwich spot in San Francisco! I have been to every location except this one, and it never disappoints. I didn't eat my sandwich until I got home and it was still fresh and so much flavor. I also recommend getting the lemon bar, brownies and their sugar donuts too! For this location, there are some seatings that you can eat at the restaurant and it is pretty spacious as well. Honestly, any devil's teeth location hits the spot !
Finally got around to trying the Special Breakfast Sandwich from here and it was delicious! I was worried about a long wait, but only took about 15 minutes on a sunny Saturday. The sandwich had a perfect ratio of everything and biscuit was flaky without being dry. Perfect bite after a morning hike!
A neighborhood gem. Folks in the area are fortunate to have this solid spot for coffee and espresso drinks as well as for baked goods and breakfast sandwiches and lunch items. It's not a fancy, slicked-up place like many of the latest coffee shops popping up, especially in L.A.., but it's got a vibe. Great playlist. There are bar stools to sit on facing a wall with a narrow wooden counter to perch your food and drinks on. There is a small patio out back. Service was quiet and subdued. When they got busy on Friday morning, orders backed up because there was a staff of three running the show. One on the grill, one on the espresso machine and the cashier running between ringing up orders and assisting the line cook. Their pineapple mochi bar is yummy and unique. I recommend. The espresso they're using has a nice flavor. Enjoyed an Americano and a cappuccino on two separate occasions and they were delicious.
Our Air B&B host left a list of restaurants within walking distance to check, and the name of this spot definitely caught our attention. On Saturday morning we decided to give it a try for breakfast. We arrived about 9:30, and it wasn't too busy, only one person in line, and a few waiting for their orders. It's a small bakery space, with pretty limited seating along a counter at the wall. They also had a sign noting out door seating in the back, but it didn't appear they had any tables out there. The cashier was friendly and gave us a minute to review the menu before ordering. I decided to go with the "Regular Breakfast Sandwich", 2 scrambled eggs, bacon and cheddar on a buttermilk biscuit. I would have definitely preferred bacon, but at a $3 upcharge I didn't think it was worth it. Food didn't take long to come out, and some spots had freed up, so we decided to sit at the counter and eat while our food was still hot. The portion was very generous, and everything tasted great. For west coasters they make a pretty mean biscuit! Overall, it was a good breakfast. Quick service, friendly staff, fair pricing, (other than the upcharge to switch from bacon to sausage). They also offered coffee drinks, and a good assortment of fresh baked good. P.S. Fun fact we learned the "The Devil's Teeth" is the nick name for the dangerous, rocky Farallon Islands, located about 30 miles off the coast of San Francisco. So it wasn't an entirely random name
Devil's Teeth is my go to coffee shop and bakery in the Outer Richmond. There is usually a line on weekend mornings so expect a bit of a wait. I've tried both the regular breakfast sandwich and the special breakfast sandwich and the regular is so much better in my opinion. I feel like the avocado and spread makes the sandwich really mushy. Both have really good biscuits that are really soft! They also have a variety of pastries you can choose from and some small juices. My favorite pastry so far is the Ube brownie. There are a couple chairs along the bar styled tables you can sit at but the seating is very limited. Plus with the long lines on the weekend it can get pretty congested- I don't really recommend eating at the shop. Lastly they have a small library where they sell used books for I think $5. Pretty cool.
Stopped in for a breakfast sandwich and some baked goods. Decided to check this location out as the outer sunset one is always busy. We walked in and ordered right away. No line or other customers when we walked in thankfully but got busier soon after. Love the breakfast sandwich. Portion was big and everything was fresh and hot. The special breakfast sandwich at devil's teeth is so fire! Moist buttermilk biscuits, soft fluffy eggs, crunchy bacon, and topped with cheese, avocado, and a delicious garlic aioli sauce. Not a light sandwich but definitely an enjoyable one! read more

Big and tasty biscuit ! Our Air BN'B recommended this place and we were glad we checked it out. It was a filling breakfast and a nice buttery biscuit. Not a ton of seating inside, just counter space and a small courtyard out back, but easy enough to grab and go! And an intriguing name! read more

Always a line for their breakfast sandwiches, but they are pretty quick about bringing their orders out. Not a fan of bacon so their veggie breakfast sando is my go to with adding the lemon aioli to cut through the egg and biscuit flavors. Adding some hot sauce will also add a nice zing! read more

The breakfast sandwiches were delicious, the biscuit is very buttery and tasty. It crumbles easily so keep that foil on hand! The workers are kind & they have a little library inside courtesy of Green Apple ($6 books). It gets crowded inside for people waiting on food, but there is a small outdoor seating area (wooden stairs going down to it) that gets filled very quickly. Tried the Donut Muffin and it's very good, nice balance of the sweet crust and moist middle! read more
I've had Devil's Teeth baking two times now. Both times someone picked it up for me (husband/friend) so I've never actually been in person, but wow the food is good. Had it today for the second time and it was much better than I remember the first time being, though both times delicious. Had the breakfast sandwich - biscuit with scrambled eggs and piled high with bacon, avocado and an insane sauce/gravy. I don't even love bacon on my breakfast sandwiches usually but the sauce, biscuit and thick cut bacon works perfectly on this one. The scrambled eggs are super fluffy and again the sauce is out of this world. The biscuit is soft and flaky but also a slight crisp to it. Doesn't seem like a biscuit breakfast sandwich would be so filling but this one in gigantic. Highly recommend read more
Totally get the hype now! I ordered the Special Breakfast Sandwich as is for my first time and split it with my partner...only to end up right back in line for another one -- it's that good! Next time I'm definitely trying it with sausage (worth the extra charge). And that buttermilk biscuit? Bomb AF. Flaky, buttery, perfect. THE BEST breakfast sandwich you could ever have. I will never pass it up. Theres something there for everyone though and the workers are so nice like love in every bundle of bread they wrap up. It's a little tight inside with all the crowds but there's outdoor seating, next to their usual out the door line so be prepared for about a 10 minute wait (weekday morning). Stopped by on a Saturday morning for a quick breakfast. I had the regular breakfast sandwich and my friend had their special breakfast sandwich ( I naturally had to try a bite). Both sandwich's were really great and very decadent with the biscuit. Be warned you might need a short nap afterwards haha. Definitely check out their bakery goods as well! I'm pretty sure they do 1 dollar beignets on Sunday. The service was very quick! We ordered online in advance. It's a small bakery with limited space but there is a backyard patio if the weather is nice. read more

I came here to specifically try their special breakfast sandwich and it was delicious! The biscuit is sooo buttery and soft. The breakfast sandwich is very filling since it's packed with avocado, scrambled eggs, bacon, and an aioli sauce. There are some chairs inside to dine in, and they have more seating in the back. The wait to order and receive my food was quick since I came here on a Monday morning. I'd definitely come back if I'm ever craving a breakfast sandwich. read more

I've had Devil's Teeth bookmarked for a while and didn't realize they had a location in the Richmond! I stopped by around lunch time on a Tuesday and there was no wait. Ordered a special breakfast sandwich (~$15) and waited for about 5 minutes before it was ready. There's some seating available in the shop, but also back patio seating. Food was a solid 10/10, the biscuit wasn't dry and had the perfect texture and taste. Price was a bit steep, but it's a good treat once in a while! Would totally recommend (: read more
Y'all ever ask the establishment to choose their favorite of whatever, order it, then once you get it, meander to the back of the aforementioned establishment like gollum with your precious wrapped in metal to devour it? Nah, me neither. Ps. It's "the special" breakfast sandwich. I don't even know everything on it/across my face. Came in the morning to this little bakery north of Golden Gate Park and got some breakfast. Devil's Teeth may be pretty limited in terms of space, but it packs in a lot of flavor. It has a menu of the expected items but also has some other good things. Has indoor seating but it's only for a few customers. This is mostly for takeout and later. At breakfast we needed something to give us a boost. It's one of the few places around this neighborhood open early. There's a lot of the typical bakery items like croissants and such. Coffee is $3 for a cup. Pretty basic stuff but good enough for the price. Chose to get one of the made to order items. It's about $6 for the Avocado Toast. A difference of this from typical places is it's more like a sandwich with the avocado inside. There's also tomatoes. Good place to go at breakfast. It's cramped inside here so don't expect to stay for long. There's healthy options for vegetarians. read more

wowza what a delish breakfast sammy! i'm not usually a fan of breakfast sandwiches in general because they're usually dry and bland to me but this one was a game changer. so flavorful and saucy, plus the bread being the most delicious biscuit ever changed everything. would highly recommend! read more

I'd been hearing so much about Devil's Teeth ever since I moved to the city a year and a half ago, so I had to check it out !! We went at about 11:00AM and we only waited 10 minutes or so to order which was a lot faster than we expected. I ordered the chain which was very well spiced and not to sweet, which is my favorite kind. I really enjoyed their mix. We then got the special breakfast sandwich, and it was all that it was hyped up to be. The biscuit was buttery, the sauce was flavorful, the eggs were fluffy, and the avocado added much needed freshness to the whole sandwich ! It was delicious, and definitely incredibly filling. We also had to get the $1 beignets that are only sold on Sundays and they did not disappoint. They came very warm, right out of the fryer covered in powdered sugar. Everything here lived up to the hype, and it's pretty close to Ocean beach so you can either sit in, or bring your food over there. I will definitely be bringing more visitors to this location !! read more
Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but I'm not sure I understand the hype for this place. I ordered the avocado toast and a coffee cake pastry. The avocado toast was... not good. The 'toast' was literally just bread (no butter or seasoning) and the 'avocado' was also just avocado (no salt, no seasoning). I guess that's what I ordered, but I was hoping it was have some seasoning or flavor to make it a little more exciting. The pastry was pretty good, but definitely not up to par with other SF pastry shops in the area. The restaurant itself is cute, with limited seating options inside and an outdoor seating area out back. The staff were super friendly and the service was speedy for the most part. read more
A bit Pricey, as the special breakfast sandwich is $13, but dang it was delicious. Saucy with the garlic lemon aioli and filled with avocado. Only complaint is some bites without the sauce were dry because of the biscuit, but everything else was delicious. I would definitely come back. read more

Went on a Sunday, and they have their special Sunday beignet! The beignet is only $1 for a piece and it was pretty worth it. I like how light it is and it was a good dessert after eating the classic sandwich. The classic sandwich is around $10, there are two scrambled eggs, cheese, and bacon in it. I think it is a little bit over price. The sandwich is decently OK! read more
We passed by and were enticed by their dessert items, immediately drawing us into the small shop a few minutes before closing. Stuck between the Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter cookie and the Brownie, the store attendant helpfully narrowed our choice down (and boy was she correct!). The brownie is sooo delicious and worth every penny. The shop itself is cute and along a road with other coffee shops, I'll definitely be back to try more! read more

The wife and I were still in San Fran (locals hate when you say this, LOL) visiting the kid. For the kid's birthday breakfast she requested a breakfast sandwich from Devil's Teeth. So to get her what she wanted, the wife and I found the place and got in line (on a Sunday morning at ~8am) to order some food. The place was very busy and people waiting inside and outside for food and others waiting in line patiently to order food. The kid not only wanted a breakfast sandwich, but "The Special" breakfast sandwich. Being the skeptic that I am, I had to take a look and to see what was so special: Large Buttermilk Biscuit - sounds good 2 Scrambled Eggs - I like where this is going Avocado - sounds yummy Bacon - oh we are cruising into flavortown now Pepper Jack Cheese - well you had me a bacon, but OK Lemon Garlic Aioli - WHAT? Boom! Dang that sounds good... Needing to review the sandwich right away, I am skipping over the other stuff but will come back to it later. We brought the food back to the kid's apartment and I had no idea what was in that bag until I pulled it out and opened the foil. Looked decent, pretty large biscuit and fully stuffed with the ingredients listed above. First bite was a WOW and it did not stop there. This was delicious. This is THE BEST breakfast sandwich I have ever eaten. I cannot wait to come back to San Fran and get myself another one of these masterpieces. Later, I would try to recreate this at home, but only found myself crying in a fetal positioned heap in the middle of the kitchen because I could not come close. Damn you Devil's Teeth Baking Company! And bless you as well. See you next time I'm in San Fran! OK, I'm off my contact high of seeing a picture of "The Special". What else? Since it was a Sunday and they have $1 beignets, we got a dozen to share with the kid's roommates. Upon getting back to the apartment, we realized we should have grabbed more. The wife stacked them up and put candles on them to make a mock birthday cake for the kid. Honestly, I am not a sweets, desert, donut kind of guy and would usually prefer something hot and spicy. That being said, these beignets were very, very good and I had two! Everyone loved them and we will have more of these when we are visiting again. Go. Eat Very Well. HAVE FUN! read more
