It's open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., but closed Tuesdays. The almond pancakes were a standout, with a unique texture, similar to cornmeal and topped with berries. The tostaquiles featured scrambled eggs, avocado, crema, and fried tortillas, with eggs floating on top of a thick pimenton sauce. (Only one of two of us liked that particular dish. To me, the sauce was overpowering.) Parking in the area can be difficult, especially on weekends. Overall, Eats on Clement is a solid sit-down brunch spot. Hubs and I visited on a Monday at around 10am and were seated promptly. After asking for recommendations, hubs ordered the Maitake Scramble with salad. He must've enjoyed as he didn't offer me any. I love biscuits and had to give theirs a try - arrived warm. Crunchy exterior, fluffy interior - good with the butter but would've loved a side of jam given the price. After sampling a few entrees in the menu, including but not limited to the VADOUVAN CURRY CHICKPEAS, the LOADED FRIED POTATOES, and the EATS BURGER... I can safely say that the star of the show is the dessert items. None of the entrees were bad per se, just a little underwhelming overall. My burger in particular was over-seasoned with the patty being dry and very salty although it was not bad flavor wise altogether... The curry chickpeas were runny and watery texture which was a little off puffing and wasn't the tastiest combination overall. The Loaded Fried Potatoes I really really really wanted to like but I was left with a heaviness that the house made hot sauce couldn't mask. The only thing worthwhile to me and the star of the show is the Strawberry Shortcake which comes with roasted strawberries and whipped creme fraiche as well as slices of kumquat which provide a really nice contrast to everything. Everything was delicious! Came here on a Saturday at 9AM and didn't have to wait for a table. We ordered the potatoes, the tostaquiles, and the french toast to share. The potatoes were soft and both the sauces (the yellow was like a hollandaise) were so good/coated them well. I've been coming to Eats for years, and at this point, I've just accepted my fate: I will always order the same exact dish every time I sit down. I walk in thinking, Okay, today I'll try something new, and then the server shows up and suddenly I am like, Actually, I'll have my usual. It's a problem but also not really because this dish is THAT good. The maitake soft scramble / mushroom omelette is truly a masterpiece. Fluffy, soft, savory with that habanero hot sauce drizzle on top that should honestly be illegal. The potatoes are Crispy and golden perfection. The little salad is Fresh enough to make me feel like I am making responsible life choices. And the bread? Don't get me started soft, buttery, and warm like it was baked just for me. Every time I order it, I tell myself, Next time, I'll branch out. Every time, I lie. The staffs are always so friendly, quick and welcoming. The energy in here is just good! Highly recommended by a friend so stopped by on a Friday morning around 8:45 AM. The restaurant was decently busy but had some open tables. A great place for a solo date because of its sunny neighborhood ambiance; the waitstaff were very attentive and kind, and the service was fast without being rushed. I got the Maitake Soft Scramble, and I highly recommend! The eggs were so soft and the generous amount of goat cheese was creamy and salty. These potatoes were so golden and crispy! They were definitely freshly made, they were still steaming when I got them. The toast was also perfect and great to assemble bites with the scramble on top. I was told four dishes were good and decided on lemon grass chicken sandwich which got marinated daikon and carrots. Love sour stuff. There was a tiny jalapeños bits that surprised me but it was edible. I started scrapping them off. $1 for half salad (fancy, endive greens) and half pan fried potatoes (so good, hard outside, soft inside). Delicious. Took half of sandwich home. I've learned not to stuff myself. That chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful$24 +$1. My eating mate got scrabble eggs with mushroom with goat cheese. She said that was the best scrabble egg she ever had. Woohoo. I tasted it and it was creamy with rosemary but it might be the goat cheese. Her decaf coffee was smooth. It was an enjoyable brunch. To start off -- I don't like leaving bad reviews and I always try to resolve the issue in person or by reaching out but my email and Instagram messages haven't been responded to and it's been a week and I haven't heard anything. I've been a few times and always had a good experience. My last visit was good until it wasn't. When I went to go pay with the blackbird app, I noticed the charge was $20 dollars more than it should be, so I asked the waiter if he could check on the bill and see if didn't use the promo. He confirmed there should be a promo and went to go check. Another person came out and told me that they don't know why blackbird charged me more but to just call them (which 1. Isn't an option but also the amount is inputted by the restaurant). Then someone came out with my "check" and told me it wasn't their fault but the check didn't have the preset tip applied, so didn't make sense that was my check and 10 minutes later I saw my same order come out and the waiter walk towards me look confused cause I was obviously done eating the same meal and he talked to another waiter and ended up putting the food by the dirty dishes. Which tells me he just printed another receipt to show me and then accidentally put the order through. I kept looking at the bill and nothing made sense cause even without a promo the price was off so I asked if it was possible they charged me someone else's bill and the waiter came out and yelled at me saying they are too busy for this, that they don't have time for all of this. Everyone was looking at me, and he told me he would just void the whole bill I told him that's not what I wanted I just wanted the bill to make sense. He walked away and said he would just void it which I didn't want until he was so rude to me. (The bill also was not voided btw). I never raised my voice. I never asked to speak to a manager all I asked was for someone to actually care that I was overcharged $20. I don't think it's crazy to have someone address or give me a better answer than they don't know or call blackbird when someone overcharged me. I wanted to fix it before I left rather than having to spend time sending emails to get it fixed -- again I don't see that as unreasonable when they can void it on their end (before it fully processes) but the guy acted like I was crazy for wanting them to fix it. Like I truly do not understand how wanting a $20 discrepancy fixed makes me the bad guy, I asked nicely and just wanted some help. It sucks cause I liked this place, but I can't go there anymore and wouldn't recommend it if you have an issue while you're there. read more

It was a little chilly in there, lots of families with small children. The menu was small but the plates around me seemed well made. It's a moderately bustling little spot. I saw some chicken and waffles on the pictures crop Google but they didn't have any! But they did have a side of fried chicken so I got the pancakes and a side of chicken, and a coffee. We waited for a while to get a table for a party of 6 indoors, when we sat down and ordered we also waited a while to order and for our food to come out.
