Really cute storefront!! We came once before they got super popular and there was no line then but the line was pretty long on Saturday morning when we went. It took about 15 minutes to get our order but it was worth it!! We ordered an oatmeal raisin cookie, poppy seed bagel with blueberry cc, and the bodega with turkey sausage. Oh my gosh the star of the show was the oatmeal raisin cookie!! It was so chewy and had amazing depth of flavor. The poppy seed bagel with blueberry cc was just okay to be honest. The bagel wasn't the fluffiest and the blueberry flavor wasn't really strong. My sister thought the bodega was pretty good!! It came out piping hot, the cheese on the bagel was crispy, and the bagel itself was chewy. Ratings The bodega: 4/5 Poppy seed bagel with blueberry cc: 3/5
first time to batches bakehouse in the city. It is tucked away in one of the avenues. Looks like they make everything on site. My girlfriend tried the bagel there that was great The service was great since it was a walk up window. And the ambience is a hole in the wall bakery serving up the San Francisco. Francisco treat.
The moment you walk up to Batches bright pink window, you're greeted with the smell of warm bagels. We decided to get to-go brunch, but walk-up took a considerable amount of time. They were also out of certain flavors. Definitely recommend ordering ahead. I got the Ashleigh on an everything bagel with bacon, and I really enjoyed the combination of flavors. The best part was the fluffy egg! However, the bagel itself was a bit underwhelming. It was a bit tougher to bite into and not as chewy and soft as I'd have liked. Still a solid breakfast meal!

PLUS, THE FONT ON THE NEW MENUS IS SO SMALL! bagels are still bitchin' tho. crab schmear on weekends is the move. caramelized onion bagel, also only on the weekends, is da bomb.
Finally checked this off my list to try and was not disappointed. We came during the weekend and got the crab shmear bagel and an egg salad bagel. AMAZING. NO NOTES. I can't wait to go back!!!
Stopped by Batches Bakehouse and honestly... it's good. I grabbed the Hot Batch and a molasses cookie, and both were hits in totally different ways. The Hot Batch has that perfect chewy bagel base with a kick of heat that wakes you up without blowing out your taste buds. Super flavorful, super satisfying, and you can tell they actually care about building a good sandwich, not just stacking ingredients. And the molasses cookie? Soft, warm‑spiced, and ridiculously good. It tastes like something your favorite aunt would bake if she also happened to run a professional bakery. I wasn't planning on finishing the whole thing... and then I did. Service is friendly, the vibe is casual, and everything feels made with intention. Batches is one of those neighborhood spots that just makes your day a little better.
Since batches usually has a long line on farmer's market sundays, I have spent weeks balking at the wait time here. However, I was recently delighted to see a short line and jumped in to commit to a short wait to order. The menu contains so many awesome "combo" creations that it was hard to settle on one item. (which is why I plan to come back more than a few times in the future) I settled on the "Hat Batch", a simple scallion cream cheese and sriracha hot honey asiago bagel. I can honestly say that the bagel itself was one of the best I've had in the city. The salty, sweet, spicy combo on top of the bagel was pure perfection. I'm seriously excited for my next stop here- the "Ashleigh" and "For the Batches" look incredible!
Walking around the Richmond ( not the city) district in San Francisco there are plenty of places to grab bake goods. One place which doesn't have indoor seating but serves great bake goods is the Batches Bakehouse. They serve bagels with schmears like Blueberry, Garlic Roasted, Green Goddess , Scallion and Veggie. They have spreads like Cinnamon Honey Butter, Honey Drizzle , Nutella Hummus, Smashed Avocado , and Sriracha Hot Honey. Batches have bagels called " For the Batches" with avocado and arugula. On Weekends they offer the crabby bagel called "The Hey Bay-Bae "with crab cream cheese, tomato, olive oil, pepper, and chives. They also serve bake goods such as brownies, coffee cake, different types of cookies and scones. I got the sour cream and onion scone which was savory and one of the best scones with onion I ever had. The sour cream taste wasn't sour like some in SF. Then I got not too sweet monkey bread. The monkey bread was soft and tasty. If you are not getting croissants at Arsicault ( the best croissant in the city) and want a bagel and other unique types of bake goods you should walk a few blocks over on 4th Avenue between Clement and California and give Batches Bake goods a whirl. People by the batches waiting outside Batches for their order on 4th Avenue and they will be outside in the "zone" scrolling on their " phone" or listening to a vibe on their "headphone" and some are yapping and having yap sessions to each its "own". I recommend the Farm to Bagel and other items with ingredients which are organically "grown" with bakegoods are on the window menu to let it be "known "and on display and "shown" when it comes to some bake goods I don't share and I don't care so I get my "own " Batches Sour Cream and onion "scone "
Chanced on seeing a TGTG offer so selected 1 order. Great value, quality baked goods, and a generous selection of yummy scones. Cute window store front, and easy prompt filling of orders. Would highly recommend Batches Bakehouse.
The pumpkin bagel with pumpkin spiced cream cheese is really yummy! I wish they will have it for longer instead of only October and November. I also really like peppermint flavor if they do a peppermint flavor for Christmas. There is no seating but there is a bench at the corner of Clement to sit on.
"I don't have to go back to the Laundromat SF for a while." That was the first thought that came into my mind! The bagel was so good and I was so lucky to get to have The Pizza Bagel on the National Pizza Day last Friday!!! They actually should have that menu on the board forever!!! The service was great! Everytime I go there, I was always greeted with a very friendly manner by the staff at the register! No points taken out!!! They are very welcoming and smiley Thank you so much for making my day! I love how they have an information of all the ingredients for their pastries! Very clear and informative :) The ambience is good. It is located near So Fresh So Clean Laundromat. Great spot to have some food while waiting for your laundry :) There is no seating area although I think it would be very nice to have some seating area there for customers to enjoy the nice sun during this spring time but most of the customers just order, grab and go! So it worked out :) Very highly recommended!! :)
Saw this place after a show and decided to check this place out on pi day for $3.14 slices. Sadly I didn't get here until noon and they were all sold out! I got the following instead where the bagels are hand shaped, boiled and made fresh daily! * Hot Batch - Everything Bagel toasted in hot honey, topped with scallion cream cheese and another drizzle of hot honey $7 * Oatmeal Golden Raisin Cookie - Brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, and golden raisins give this traditional cookie a soul warming twist $4.50
I only had a plain bagel, which is the product I taste to compare bakeries. The appearance was overly large (5" diameter, 4.5 oz), with a slack exterior, and a bit misshapen. The crumb was OK...a little soft. The taste was very dull. There was little sweet and sour...which made me suspect they were not fermented enough (probably no overnight retard that most bagels go through), not enough liquid malt, not enough diastatic malt. I won't be returning.
Reviews are largely positive. People highlight the fresh bagels, variety of baked goods, and friendly service. The neighborhood charm and convenient setup are also appreciated.

This spot is small but their bagels are great! There's usually a line on the weekend so I was intrigued. I was in the neighborhood on a Friday and got a BLAT on a pizza bagel. The pizza bagel is a Friday special. It was so good! The pizza bagel was great, it had pepperoni and melted cheese. It made the BLAT unique and very tasty. I also got their sour cream and onion scone. It came with a side of butter which was nice. The scone has good sour cream and onion flavor and was pretty light and not dense. read more
Yum! I wish I got the first thing that spoke to me, which was the pop tart with Raspberry jam filling. ( made in house) But I was trying to think of what I could drive and eat on my way home from the airport. The staff is super friendly in this great charming neighborhood full of good vibes and chill people, so I loved seeing regulars & the staff conversing authentically. All the scones were unique but the one I got which was blueberry and lemon was good gluten free but all right, kept biting into bits of paper? 3 times so far on drive home. Couldn't inspect as I was driving. The bagels looked unique in that they had large holes and skinny body - something different and the everything was absolutely covered in seeds! It was good looking and tasted delicious in a toasted seedy way which I enjoyed how nutty it was -but I guess I do prefer the doughy part of a bagel traditionally. I just appreciate all new and different items they offered from all the cookie cutter bakeries throughout the city- where one sees the same standard items probably from on standard company. I will come again. It's all so very unique and in season and something different and open before 8am! (It's October and they had a crazy Halloween Cooke and Pumpkin Bagels. read more

The food here was great! The bagels themselves were warm and fluffy. The egg was also super fluffy and light. There was plenty of flavor and overall everything was delicious. You could tell that the bread was freshly made. The everything bagel had so much flavor alone but the plain bagel was just as good. The only downside to this place is that it's a small spot. We ordered on Uber Eats and had to wait longer after it said the food was ready on the app so plan accordingly. Cost: Ashleigh bagel - $16.99 read more

I only give the bagel I got a 3/5 not my overall experience. I got the farm to bagel, It had "hummus" on it but it tasted like mashed up chickpeas with just some s&p. Personal opinion, I love pickled beets but I don't think it made sense on this bagel. I would've liked to see more fresh veggies on the bagel as well. The bagel itself was very good! I will definitely be back, just try another bagel. read more

Wait, there's a bakery in San Francisco I haven't tried yet? I apologize for my laziness. Let me jump right on that. Batches is in a prime location and when you are in a prime location you are going to get at bats. Make sure you do something with those chances. I wouldn't say they hit a home run here but I think they got on base. Maybe a double. The cookie selection is how you would like it. Can't go wrong with these cookie options. You can have a Very legitimate cookie time here. Honey butter biscuit? Yes for sure. As good as any biscuit you can find. Ask for extra honey butter. The everything bagel with cream cheese spread is good. Just a warning this place takes an outrageously long time to make any of their bagels and they run out of a lot of stuff. I got a standard bagel with spread after about 15 minutes and it wasn't very busy. The bagel wasn't even that warm or toasty either. Makes me suspicious. Either way batches has a dog in the fight in this SF bakery game. It's not elite but in your neighborhood it's very reliable. (4.2 Stars) read more
The food here is amazing. These two bagels were about $28. I got the hey baby, which was crab, sage and tomatoes on the spread. My girlfriend got the breakfast, which was eggs and bacon and a bagel Service here is amazing. There's a farmers market here every Sunday. Solid bagel spot. For 5 bucks (after tax) you get a nicely toasted bagel with a decent amount of smear. Theres no outdoor seating so most people come here for a grab and go coffee. They also have some baked sweets and other fancier bagels on their menu. I came here on a Saturday morning so there were lots of people coming in to get coffee and goods to start their day with. read more

The bagels and home made creams are good. I would recommend straying from the toasted sesame bagel or any toasted seed bagels. They tend to always burn the seed bagels for some reason. The other bagels and spreads are delicious though and i love the salmon bagel. The cookies are also delicious. Its a window order so no insides but thats perfectly fine. The service is great and always kind. read more
Great specialty combos. Just a normal bagel and schmear are reasonably priced and they are delicious. Service is a little slow when they're busy, which is probably often, so make sure to be prepared to wait outside for a bit! When we arrived they had also sold out of hot chocolate, a few bagel types/schmears, and one of the hot coffees, so if you're set on something specific maybe go earlier in the day or on a slow day of the week. read more
I found them on Instagram and had to stop by! I biked over and because it's a window, I was able to take my bike up and it was easy to order. I was admiring their cookies, scones, and cupcakes, but ultimately only ordered a Bodega (bacon, egg, cheese) bagel sandwich on an everything bagel ($11). It was toasted to perfection and everything came together to have good flavor. I love the decor and vibe--very pink and feminine and welcoming and warm, as was the service. Newish bakery serving up bagels and pastries in the Inner Richmond. Located on Fourth Avenue just around the corner from Clement Street (you won't miss it with their big pink signage), you will find this storefront and their menu painted on the windows. Bagels and pastries are made onsite. Item to note is their weekend only offering: Hey Bay-Bae (crab cream cheese, tomato, olive oil, pepper and chives). While a bit different than the other bagels, I felt that it's just okay. The Bodega (bacon, egg and cheddar) was underwhelming. The egg was not very fluffy and we can't taste the bacon. The Pinky's egg salad bagel is very vinegary and probably not to everyone's taste. I would recommend sticking with the classics like your choice of bagels with your choice of cream cheeses which they have quite a few offerings. The Rosemary scone was sweet but the Rosemary and Parmesan in the scone was hard so biting into it is like biting into twigs.Meanwhile their chocolate chip and their peanut butter cookies are pretty delicious. This is a takeout storefront only. No seating. Recently they started to offer iced teas and drip coffees. Service is friendly but tend to be slow at times. Since they are new, they are probably working out their kinks and offerings and hopefully all will be improving over time. read more
This place is fine. Always happy to have another bagel place around. The line on a farmer's market day was about 5 people long, then you wait about 15 mins to get your order. They run our of popular flavors early, so if you have your heart set on something, get there early. I wish they had some tables set up outside so you didn't have to roam the neighborhood looking for a place to chow down. We got to split: one asiago bagel with egg and bacon and cheese, and one poppy bagel with scallion cream cheese and hot honey. We had wanted a caramelized onion bagel, but that seems to sell out first, apparently we got the last asiago bagel of the day. These are pretty big bagels and we enjoyed them, but for my money I prefer The laundromat or Dago bagel. read more
Saw a sign on the edge of the block for the Batches Bakehouse and decided to try. A cute storefront for grab and go bagels/baked goods. Service was friendly! Was pleasantly surprised by the peanut butter cookie that we tried. Soft, buttery, full of peanuts! Would come back to try their other items. read more

Found this place while trying to park and saw a long line so I decided to check it out. Little did I know that Batches was going to become my new favorite bagel place. Their bagels are so fresh and their bodega combo is delicious. Their chocolate chip and confetti cookies are amazing. I would definitely try to go early in the morning to make sure you can get the bagel of your choice since they do sell out quickly by noon. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a quick bagel sandwich or coffee! read more
Not terrible, but don't let my rating fool you to not visiting! I was walking the pup and wanted to finally try this out on Friday morning. I ordered a "classic" on an everything bagel. First, the pros: (and they're big ticket items IMO) - the bagel itself - sooo good! Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The everything part of the bagel was nice - super seedy and perfectly salty. - the cream cheese - super whipped and fluffy. Very yummy! - service - the guy that was taking orders and giving orders up was doing his best with a smile. Very kind. The cons: - I know this is SF, but the pricing is a tiny bit steep for this neighborhood, but that's just my opinion. Take with a grain of salt. They're new and they're probably trying to make it. It's hard out here in these streets. - The "classic" is supposed to come with cream cheese, lox, red onion, capers and dill. The lox was almost too fishy smelling (which could a strong yellow flag) than smokiness. Take a look at my pic - the red onion seemed more like a garnish, definitely not that much capers (under the lox), and zero dill. - Holy moly the wait time was ... a lot. Good thing I didn't have anywhere to be, but waiting 15-20min for a bagel was a little rough. If you order, hope you're not in a rush to your next destination! All this to say that I'll still come back, because I want to try other things on the menu - different kinds of bagel sandos, different schmeaers, and probably something sweet when I'm up for it. Seems like other reviewers love their sweets so I definitely have to try! read more

Oh my god don't walk run!! This new bakery on the block is delicious and worth the wait! Service was amazing, the woman at the window was super sweeet and thanked ppl for being patient. Got the secret sandwich it's a mixture of I believe two sandwiches on the menu and it was delicious and super filling Also not pictured was their chocolate chip cookie with a sprinkle of sea salt to DIE for probably the best cookie I had in awhile. I'd come back just for that! read more
An amazing addition to the neighborhood! You can't miss it since they painted a pillar at the start of the block to say "Batches" with pink! They have crab cream cheese on the weekends which we will definitely try next time, we got the salmon lox on everything bagel, and the scallion cream cheese with hot sriracha honey on an Asiago bagel. They were both very tasty and filling, I really don't think there is another shop like this in the vicinity. Service is quick, they take about 5 minutes to assemble the bagels fresh. And the shop is window service only. Update: we tried the Hey Bay-Bae bagel (crab shmear) and it was a little underwhelming, but we will keep the 4* rating since we tried the pinky's egg salad bagel and it was also amazing! This is still a great addition to this neighborhood. read more
