I had this saved in my bookmarks with "2025 best burgers in SF" and wound up getting the cold noodle salad instead! My partner wanted to try the pasta with tomato sauce and sausage and we matched both up with sparkling wine based drinks. Service was exceptionally quick and the pasta was piping hot. Both the pasta and the noodle salad had a really intense spicy kick to them but overall the flavours were just perfect and delicious. We cleared out both our dishes fast and were very happy with the food. The only (small) complaint is the pasta should come with bread or something similar to clean up all the extra sauce that gets left in the bowl when you're done eating! The sauce was so good and they are generous with the volume of it, we would have loved to leave a clean bowl and get all the delicious sauce out. I knew I wanted some kind of vegan bowl that would be delicious and satisfying. I chose the Neatball Masala. Supergrains held up steamed kale, pickled carrot shavings and soy tzatziki that was bright and tangy. A few sprigs of fresh cilantro made this dish pop. I have been coming here regularly lately because I'm often in the area for jazz events. My friend and I are both vegan so this is absolutely one of our favorite eateries! Between the two of us, we've probably eaten everything on the menu. I was here for Earth Day for the BOGO impossible burgers as well. Plus, if you show them that you are an SF Vegan Society member, you can get a discount. I'm not sure how old the restaurant is, but they maintain it well and it is always busy. If you asked me last year if I wanted to return to Rad Radish, I would have respectfully declined. My first experience was underwhelming to the extreme, marked by a memorably dry, bland, and badly portioned poke bowl. I'm not even sure that's in the menu anymore, and thankfully, I was brave enough to give it a second chance, because the difference was night and day. From the food to the service, I couldn't have asked for anything more. The fact that you can get breakfast all day now is already a huge bonus, and that the options are fully stacked with a proper scramble and chilaquiles? Hell yeah, I knew what I wanted right away. The vegetable scramble, contrary to the evergreen photo featured, was smartly furnished with seasonal sections, including tender kabocha folded into the eggy mass, and a hearty kale and chicory blend with apples for the salad. Simple but flavorful, hearty but healthy, it was exactly what I was craving. Also, the potatoes are not to be overlooked; crispy outside, juicy inside, well seasoned, and served with a complex ketchup that had notes of curry, I couldn't get enough. I usually hate ketchup too, for the record. My friend got the chilaquiles which was a stunning mountain of food. Crowned by a fluffy omelette, loads of salsa and beans, there were tortilla chips for days, in the best way. Trust me, you will not leave hungry, even if you're generous enough to share. Rad radish has really grown on me. Not that I didn't like it when they first opened, but I think I dismissed it as just being a limited version of Wildseed. But not so! Rad Radish's menu is really great irrespective of its connection to Wildseed. And their space in Hayes Valley is a lot closer/convenient for me, not to mention just a nice environment overall. What I appreciate most about Rad Radish's menu is the solid representation of vegetable-forward dishes, including excellent salads, wraps, and apps like the cauliflower. They also have a thorough beverage menu--cocktails, mocktails, juices, coffee, and tea. And the icing on top (for me), usually one or two muffins available! As to their space, I personally like the self-seating and order from the QR code system. It allows you to do your own thing and take as little or as much time as you need. And because the space is so big, I'm not worried about finding a spot. Pro tip: they have a regularly changing seasonal menu and these items are always delicious. Keep an eye out! read more

She's blunt and has no filter so if she hated it, she would have told me so that says, A LOT! Sadly, Rad Radish is inconsistent. For the past 5 weeks, I've returned weekly for the same wrap. I can't speak to the dine-in service, but they're super efficient for pick-up. Our order was done within 15 minutes and available on a convenient pick-up shelf in the back of the restaurant. I loved their mezze salad with neatballs, which came with a fresh bed of arugula, mint, and parsley, topped with pickled onions, cucumber, tomatoes, roasted red bell peppers, and quinoa. I loved the mix of the peppery, slightly bitter flavor profile from the arugula with the fresh herbs, the crunch of the cucumber, and the extra smokiness from the roasted bell peppers. The quinoa and hummus helped give the salad a bit more bulk, and the added neatballs were tasty as well. They didn't quite have the flavor and texture to be convincing meatballs, but they were quite good as far as meatless balls go. My partner got the spicy chick'n sandwich, which was delicious. The vegan chick'n was quite convincing and had a lovely crispy outer crust that somehow survived our long bus ride to the Richmond. I was a bit confused at the ordering system because the kiosks are all the way in the back of the place near the kitchen and restrooms. I feel like it would've been more intuitive to put this section at the front. After ordering, you seat yourself. I ordered the chicken sandwich which also comes with a side of fries. It was so delicious and although it doesn't fully mimic what chicken tastes, it does come very close which is impressive. The sandwich bursts with flavor and you finish feeling full but not heavy or bloated which is what meat sometimes does to me. I also ordered the vanilla oat milk soft serve and oh my gosh...do I dare say I prefer this ice cream over Salt & Straw's? I know, crazy statement but it was my first time having oat milk ice cream, and my world changed. It was so creamy but light at the same time. Large portion too so very shareable. I've been coming here for awhile and I'm glad that they have made good use of the space. There's PLENTY of seating inside and out. It's a very casual vibe. So far I've gotten the orecchiette pasta, the chicken sandwich, and most recently the chicken Caesar wrap. The pasta was yummy! I liked that it had a kick of spice. Overall, it was a very comforting dish. The fried chicken sandwich was okay. As someone who does eat real chicken, the texture of the vegan chicken isn't going to be the same and I expected that. I think battering and frying oyster mushrooms might give it a crunchier texture that I'm looking for. And the Caesar wrap was delicious! I know Caesar wraps are a thing now, and this is the second one I've had. So I can't compare it to the one from that popular place in Cow Hollow. But I thought it was so good that I even contemplated on getting it today when I only had one yesterday. The veggies are fresh, the amount of dressing is just right where it gently coats the lettuce. And the lettuce and kale are crunchy, as well as the croutons. I don't think it needed the chickpeas, which weren't very crunchy. I think offering roasted chickpeas on the side would've been better. 9.17.25 I hadn't had the kale Caesar salad in a while because of the new dressing and decided to order one again. The dressing has definitely changed- it's thinner and more tart than before, and I really preferred the original recipe. My salad also came without croutons (this has happened a few times, and I've noticed other reviews mention it too, so maybe it's a common miss when things get busy). The falafel also tastes different now, a tartness that wasn't appealing to me.
