Tadaima is a great spot for matcha! The service is great all the cashiers that have taken my order have been very sweet. It's a small space with a couple seats inside and very little standing room but it's cute dark green and natural wood asthetic. I would recommend any of their matchas and chicken sando. I especially love the pistachio matcha latte. I haven't had any of their fruit Sandos so I can't say for those. But generally their milk bread is so fluffy and they don't skip on meat. I've tried their shrimp and pork katsu sandwiches but by the time I tried them they were cold and a little hard so the savory Sandos are very much made to eat asap imo. The misubis and onigiris aren't really that good and aren't worth the price imo but are very filling if you want a quick snack. Overall, I love coming here and bringing friends to try the matcha!

I would definitely come back to Tadaima, but not necessarily for the matcha. Our drinks were good with no real complaints, but the standout of the visit was the sando. I've heard this place can get quite busy, but since I'm visiting from out of town, I came on a Friday right around opening and it was pretty manageable. There were only a few people ahead of us and we were able to grab window seating inside, which was perfect. The katsu sando was phenomenal. One issue I often run into with Japanese-style sandos in the U.S. is the bread. It can be dry or not quite the soft milk bread texture you'd expect, but that wasn't the case here. The bread was soft and slightly thicker, which worked well with the fillings. The karaage was incredibly tender and juicy while still crispy, and the slaw and sauces added a really nice balance of savory sweetness and acidity. The drinks were well made and tasted high quality, but next time I'd definitely focus more on trying additional food items.

A nice cafe walking distance to Dolores Park. I got a Strawberry Matcha and a Hojicha cream top latte and both were solid. Also got some of the onigiri to go and they were good too. I think it's a nice, quick spot to stop by on the way to the park to enjoy drinks and a snack. P.S. they give out free stickers so go grab one!

Tadaima is a Japanese phrase that translates to "I'm home" or "I'm back" in English. While I probably wouldn't be back so soon, the concept, drinks, and food is good for a quick bite but at a pretty high typical Bay Area cost. F O O D: We tried the egg & potato sandwich, the pineapple & tonkatsu sandwich, miso snow crab onigiri, and mushroom & pickled daikon onigiri. Both of the onigiri were a flop, the crab was too fishy and the mushrooms lacked flavor. Both needed an additional sauce or something to be worth their cost. The egg & potato sandwich does have a runny yolk in the center so I wasn't a fan but my bf loved it. I enjoyed the tonkatsu sandwich with its sweet pineapple and aoili. However, at the end of the day, it's just sandwiches so the cost was too much for it to be worth it to me. I would come here again probably for the drinks if I was a total matcha fan. D R I N K S We tried the Matcha Latte w/ Pistachio Cream and the Something and Nothing Hibiscus & Rose soda. The matcha latte's pistachio cream with a pinch of pistachio crumbles on top was a great addition to their creamy matcha! We were genuinely impressed by Something and Nothing's Hibiscus & Rose soda as it had no fake ingredients and it was low calorie! I would definitely get this soda over mainstream sodas on the market. S E R V I C E The service is quick and friendly, although it definitely has a bit of that Gen Z stare going on. Orders are prepared quickly and efficiently. A M B I A N C E Modern feel, trendy vibe, chic take on sandos, classic matcha place feel. There is only seating for two at a table and two at a bar facing the street window. There's a bit of seating outside but it was too chilly to stay. No outdoor heating lamps.

One of the best matchas I've tried in the Bay Area hands down. I really loved the cream they added on top, really puts everything together. The cafe is quite small inside so when it gets busy it's get cramped inside. The service was simple quick and easy. I ordered the iced matcha latte with pistachio cream and also the iced matcha latte with the salted cream. Both were really good but I would say my personal favorite of the two is the iced matcha latte with pistachio cream. Both drinks were still very enjoyable and satisfying. Overall I give this cafe a 5/5 star review just because the matcha was that good and I want to go back already!

St. Patricks Day has arrived and it's going to be another hot day in San Francisco. There is a place to grab something green and refreshing to drink in the Mission. This location is first store to open and now has three total stores all across San Francisco. This place also has hojicha, musubi, onigiri, and sandwiches. This has become a staple for Japanese matcha especially for Don Juan de la Matcha. Growing up in the Mission and seeing the growth of the neighborhood has made me proud to seeing businesses offering great quality matcha. The namesake means I am home in Japanese and it's called Tadaima. On a Mission stroll in my old stomping grounds a place I always call home I went to get some green drink at Tadaima. Don Juan de La Matcha had to get some green matcha drink for St. Patrick's Day. I got the Matcha Latte with salted cheese cream. The drink was smooth not too sweet and a bit cheesy like some in SF. I then I got the chicken karaage sando and it was savory and the chicken had a bit of a crunchy batter it had house sauce and had a purple colored cabbage. Overall a good place to pick up matcha in the Mission because I feel Tadaima , I am home. On my social media I see lots of food reviewers " theatrics" hats off to the real and not those trying to do some " hat tricks" like adding too much sauce which is exaggeration and fabrication really stains your " fabrics" of truth and the best you can do is get some green and clean matcha for " St. Patrick's " In San Francisco all roads lead to Mission street just like "Rome "when in the city where I "roam"to grab some matcha topped with some cheese "foam" at Tadaima which in Japanese means "I am home"

Got the chicken katsu Sando and the yuzu salmon onigiri. Delicious!!!! The onigiri came in a pair and looked deceptively light but was good for a meal in itself. Neither flavor overpowering - onigiri was perfectly balanced and came with brown/wild rice instead of the regular polished white. The chicken sando was light with the soft bread and the chicken katsu was not greasy too. Will definitely try again and get the fish katsu sando next time at their inner sunset location. Sadly it was not available at the mission outlet!

Jasmine Tea W/ Matcha Cream and Matcha w/ Strawberry Cream
    Ashley S.

First time at Tadaima! I came here with my friend on a Sunday around 1 pm and we waited about 20 min in line. Once you order the drinks come out fast! We both really liked our drinks. I had the Jasmine Tea w/ Matcha Cream (4/5) which was perfectly sweet. I really liked how well the Jasmine and matcha paired together. My friend also really liked her Matcha w/ Strawberry Cream! Even though there are no chunks of strawberry the cream was a bright strawberry flavor. I want to come back to try their sandwiches!

Ordered red bean mochi matcha sando and two matcha lattes (one strawberry and one pistachio). The highlight was the drinks. strawberry is def sweet, the pistachio was salty. Both are really good to share with a friend and alternate. Don't do straws cause then you miss out on the delicious cream top. The Sando was yummy, but the beans texture threw me off because they were solid.

Food was absolutely delicious! You MUST try their strawberry sandos!! Chefs kiss. And their matcha is very rich so I don't recommend if it's not your favorite but it's also very sweet. I've never had a sweet matcha that maintained it's richness in the matcha! 10/10 recommend! The only reason i didn't give it a 5 star is because i wish it had a cute ambiance to the place. There wasn't much room to dine in. More of a grab and go experience.

The sandwiches were so good!! I especially liked the chicken one and the strawberry cream one. The strawberry cream one wasn't too sweet, which I really liked. The matcha was good too, but I wish my matcha with strawberry cream had a stronger strawberry cream flavor since it got pretty light after a few sips. It's a small store, so it gets crowded pretty easily, but the food didn't take too long. The line moves relatively quickly, and the service was quick and easy. There are about 4 tables inside and a bench outside if you want to eat there.

Such good matcha flavor in both of our drinks!! Really fast service despite the lengthy line. Matcha latte w/ strawberry cream - strawberry cream had a super mild strawberry flavor, to the point where it was like a whisper of strawberry when full mixed...but I didn't mind bc the matcha was just that good on its own. Got half sweetness and that was very lightly sweet, so normal sweet is prolly not that sweet Jasmine tea w/ matcha cream - super yum and refreshing. Jasmine tea was strong & so was the matcha top!! Sooo green when mixed together as well. Lovely experience--defo want to return to try the other matcha cream lattes (pistachio/salted cream) as well as dirty matcha. Parking sucked so bad tho but that's Mission for u on a Saturday afternoon oop

If you are looking for top-tier matcha in San Francisco, this is the spot. I grabbed a matcha latte with oat milk, and it was easily one of the best I've ever had--perfectly balanced and high quality. My girlfriend tried the black sesame cream latte, and it was equally impressive. Both drinks were delicious and clearly made with care. If you're in the city, this place is a must-visit for a caffeine fix. 5/5!

I got the strawberry matcha and the seasonal lavender matcha. Both drinks were bitter and tasted watered down. Default sweetness was not too sweet but the matcha didn't have the creaminess even with regular milk. Strawberry puree was good but not enough to carry the diluted matcha. The matcha cream pie was solid. Soft matcha filling with very crispy edge. Whipped cream on top was also tasty. Would not come back here for the matcha. Maybe their food is better. With matcha coming out that quick feels like it wasn't prepared well and lost its quality. Street parking here or parking garage next street over.

Staff was friendly and I appreciate that they were informative about the macchiato being different than how Starbucks does it. Our drinks were freshly made and ready in 5 mins. Size of the macchiato was definitely a lot smaller than I realized but the coffee was nice and bold. Both drinks allowed us to appreciate the pure coffee bean taste without being too bitter.
