This spot has a really nice space with multiple areas for seating and brewing. The counter is in the middle and it is very open inside. They have a good amount of drinks to choose from but the srasonal drinks really stood out to me. They also have teas so there something for everyone. Vanilla bean paste latte: Got this hot and it was very delicious, vanilla flavor was there and not too sweet. Really enjoyable in the cold Pistachio and blackberry croissant: not a big fan of sweet pastries usually, the pistachio paste in the middle was very delicious and there was a decent amount! The blackberry jam was more sweet, but it paired well. The croissant is "twice cooked" so it had a bit of a fried cake like layer on top which I don't usually like much bc of the crumbly texture and it makes it heavier. Overall did enjoy it throughout the day! Baristas were super kind! I wanted to adjust the sweetness of my latte and they were so patient and helped me get the perfect taste. Though the interior is dark and cozy the staff were warm and welcoming. I ended up getting their Rwanda V60 pour over which had great fruit notes and caramel. It's decent but do not expect earth shattering experience. It will get the job done to get you through the morning though. My only complaint about the burrito is long wait. Today, I waited for it to be done but it took so long that my coffee got cold. If you aren't keen on chowing down on breakfast burrito.....then I'd recommend other items like almond financier and chocolate croissant. They have decent variety and you're bound to find one that calls out to you. For me, I went with almond financier bc the name suggests rich experience, and I was right! It tastes like Madeline pastry but with hint of sophistication and trust fund . The croissant is buttery and delicious. Plus, it's a good place to start if you're new to becoming a coffee noob. Ambulances: I like to go here in the morning as it's not too crowded. Morning also means ample seatings for you to pick, people watch, and pondering upon what the day might bring. We got the orange matcha tonic and iced brown butter miso caramel latte with oat milk cold foam. Both were wonderful, one refreshing, one soothing. Drinks were ready fast. They also have free oat milk. My friend also got a sandwich, the Che Fico La Mortazza Sandwich. It was a decent overpriced sandwich. Personally, I wish it was a warm sandwich. The chai latte was super flavorful and you can taste the spice but wasn't too overwhelming. The chai latte went down creamy and smooth. I enjoyed it. Place was extremely busy, lines out the door. Maybe I just need a redemption visit, but when I went the place was not very busy. The staff did not seem very friendly, although it could have just been an off day. I am sure they are usually nicer. I ordered pickup through DoorDash, and when I asked if the order was mine since it did not have a name on it, the staff member was still pretty rude about it. I only wanted to confirm before taking it, but it turned out it was mine. Even so, I felt like the interaction could have been handled better. Proportion is critical to a sandwich and this frankly did not meet the minimum. And understood, these are premade. I certainly hope this isn't about bottom line. Managers ought to flag this with their sandwich vendor. I didn't think to take a photo, since I really wasn't going to bother complaining on Yelp. In hindsight, I should have said something the day of, but I'm not one to send stuff back, therefore just wrote it off as perhaps a one-off at the time. I've come here many times and the energy here is always great. The baristas are friendly, and even when it's packed I still manage to find a seat since people come and go. first, here are some of my drink ratings: matcha latte, 6/10 - just my personal opinion i think their matcha is fine but their coffee is a lot better brown butter miso latte, 9/10 - so so yummy. i love treats that are sweet and a lil salty. the miso in this isn't super strong but is still a good note against the brown butter. orange marmalade espresso tonic, 10/10 - first time trying this today. i must be a sucker for anything fruity and bubbly bc i found a new favorite. the orange isn't TOO strong either i use my hotspot to study here and come with a fully charged laptop because i don't think there's any outlets (must be why it's easy to find a seat eventually). the tall windows in the front and the ceiling windows bring a lot of light into the building and it all looks so gorgeous. i love the ambiance of studying here and ive generally had great experiences with the baristas. one of my favorite places in the city. thank you sightglass! read more
