Godzilla, ube croissant, churro mochi muffin

Cute coffee shop, great drinks and yummy treats! Came here on a holiday weekend and service was busy and people have their laptops out for working. WiFi offered. We got a mochi donut, uber croissant and Godzilla matcha drink and everything was great. I'll be back!

There is no place like home once you have traveled around the USA or around the world. I was blessed to be born in San Francisco and still live in San Francisco. Living in San Francisco in over seven different neighborhoods has given me the opportunity to explore different cultures and also meet so many people from many various areas in the USA and the world. I seen San Francisco grow and experience the changes as the home of innovation from artist ,rebels, and technologist. There is a place in San Francisco where you will feel at home with a cup of coffee . It is located on Clement street and 21st Avenue it's called Home Coffee Roasters . On a Spring stroll away from home in San Francisco I landed at a place which roasts its own coffee at Home in house at Home Coffee Roasters . Inside it's first come and first serve when it comes to the indoor sitting which resembles a computer lab, work space and a classic coffee house. There many coffee options available on the menu like drip coffee and Americano along with Cocotini which has Coconut Vanilla Hangover. Don Juan de la matcha got the Godzilla which is iced sparkling matcha tea. It's was refreshing and hit the spot. It wasn't too sweet and had a good bubbly smooth taste. Home is where the heart is and my heart stayed in San Francisco. Go on a Spring stroll other known as a place to wander and "roam" to place a to enjoy drip coffee or order your coffee with "foam" they say all roads lead to "Rome" in San Francisco for good coffee all roads lead to coffee roaster on Clement called "Home" Go to another Home in SF to relax and take a break and "pause" and enjoy a drink with roasted coffee beans and spill the beans by yapping some "jaws "because talking with friends is therapeutic similar to "mental spas" for Don Juan San Francisco is home and there is no place like home but this isn't the land of "Oz"

Service was fast, they have a lot of drinks to choose from, the inside of the cafe was super cute with clouds and suns with vibrant lights that say hello sunshine. a great way to start your morning. if you want a cute latte that will make you smile and a good pastry i would highly recommend.

I like that this place has a lot of seating and kiosk to order. They have a lot of specialty drinks, the most I've seen in comparison to other cafes here. I got a hazelnut coffee and I didn't wait that long. I love everything hazelnut and the drink was satisfactory. It was good in that it didn't taste burnt and it didn't taste like syrup was just carelessly dumped in the drink to achieve the hazelnut flavor. I think this is a place I would recommend to those seeking coffee but with that 'something else'. Overall, it was not disappointing and I can foresee myself coming back to satisfy the itch of 'coffee but with a little bit more'.

I love going "Home" when I'm visiting San Francisco. It's the first place I discovered a Sparkling Americano. But my go-to order is a Latte with a ham and cheese croissant. Oh, and I love the small metal water cups!

A friend from the area recommended we come here to grab some coffee and it was a solid suggestion. There's a lot of places to sit, and the menu has several unique options like a Cookie Monster latte. There's also a bathroom and merchandise for sale. I tried the hazelnut latte and the lavender latte, and I preferred the flavor of the hazelnut. The portions are pretty big too (large cups). I also like that you can customize caffeine level, sweetness, and even how hot you want your drink to be. As someone sensitive to caffeine, I really appreciated that I could select half caffeine.

I enjoyed this coffee shop. It was calm inside, definitely a laptop environment. Tried the Coconut Vanilla Latte and it was pretty good, definitely very sweet but I was a fan. I didn't really process this at the moment but they do put double espresso shots in every drink which I definitely felt after but thats on me. The only thing is like $8 for a latte is pretty steep, but I guess it was a special one.

Gave up going to this place cause I couldn't find parking on a couple occasions. Damn you Clement St!!! Finally got to try because we had a 30 minute wait for Lokma. Cappucino: 5/5 smooth roasted coffee flavor; exactly what I wanted Lavender latte: 4.5/5 subtle floral flavor balanced perfect with their coffee. Solid. Ambience is just OK. There's really not much to the inside. It would be nice if there's a little more lighting on the inside. Plenty of space to sit though. Service was great all smiles when we walked in. Overall very kind staff.

Asked for the staff's recommendation and tried the ice vanilla coconut latte. Loved it and will be coming back to try other items on the menu

Best latte in town

5 star coffee. Hands down the best latte I've had in a very long time. The flavor of their coffee shines through and isn't buried by syrups or milk. Perfect ratio of espresso and sugar. Seriously sunshine in a cup, on a cloudy SF day. Too crowded for me to sit inside and enjoy. Maybe next time!

Great little coffee shop. I ordered the sea salt carmel latte. It was not too sweet, which was nice. I also purchased a bag of coffee beans that I had them grind specifically for a Keurig machine. It also comes with a free drip coffee upon purchase. Street parking was easy to find. There's also a cute nursery a block away that I stopped into on the way back to my car.

Was in the area to hit the gym and stumbled across this cute cafe. Minimal furnishings, solid menu w/ well crafted drinks, and friendly staff makes it worth coming back for another visit. Holy cow was my favorite, it's a must try if you're here on a cafe hop.

Since I haven't been here in a while, I decided to stop by during lunch to see what was new. Listed on the seasonal menu was the Brainwash Latte "Mushroom Latte" ($7.75). I wasn't looking to get brainwashed, but the name was so interesting that it caught my eye. The friendly barista/cashier described it as a hot chocolate with espresso, except with a woody flavor. I ordered the hot version with whole milk to-go. She told me if I didn't like it she could make me something else. +Drinkable temperature: Hot, but doesn't burn your mouth/tongue +Unlike previous visits, presentation was beautiful for my to-go order. -As someone who usually gets reduced sweetness, I wished it was sweeter. It reminded me of a very bitter mocha. -Even though the description included marzipan and nutmeg, it wasn't noticeable. *Verdict: Prices are on the higher end, but the creative drinks and friendly service make this a haven for coffee and tea lovers alike!

Ask the Community - Home Coffee Roasters

Is there outdoor seating?

There is no outdoor seating

Do they have wall outlets for charging devices?

There are some along the wall bench seating, but not at every table.

Can you get the birthday cake latte or a vanilla latte sugar free?

Yes! I actually was nervous about how sweet the Bday Cake latte was gonna be so they adjusted the sugar level for me. So I'm sure there's that option if you don't want any sugar at all.

Is it possible to order any of the latte's with a nut milk or soy milk, instead? Also, are there vegan options on the menu?

Yes, they have oat milk (delicious) and soy milk! Not sure about vegan food, but I think there may be a vegan pastry option. They have a lot of avocado toast options as well.

Do they allow dogs?

Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, we are not dog friendly - with the exception of service dogs. We love dogs at Home but because we serve food, we have to adhere to the health code guidelines.

Do they carry the mochi donuts during the week as well?

Yes!! Mochi donuts are available all week :)

Is it open today, Labor Day?

We’re open today from 8AM-5PM. Come on in! :)

I saw a sign that says no laptops, but a recent review said she saw a ton of people working...Soooo...laptop friendly or no? Thanks!

You are allowed to use your laptop but it is kind of discouraged. There are signs on the tables encouraging you to talk to the people with you rather than use your phone/computer.

What goes in the Birthday cake Latte (milk, espresso, IK, but what flavor syrups)? Vanilla.... Hazelnut?

I believe it's vanilla! The menu says that it's a rainbow vanilla latte

Do you have gluten free bread for the toast?

Not any more

Love seeing the roaster and beans being roasted. Ordered a latte and it was piping hot, unfortunately way too hot to drink, so be careful. Once cooled down, the coffee was good, medium almost dark roast. Matcha was okay, had good flavor. The baked good is from a starter bakery which is from Berkeley/Oakland area. The baked good were delicious, so wish it can be heated up. Overall, a solid option for well priced coffee that roasts in house beans, but do need to watch milk temperature so that it is not too hot to drink.

I've tried this drink in the past and it's a refreshing version of iced coffee, likely sweet and creamy with the whipped cream. By the way, their whipped cream is fantastic. The store also sells a variety of coffee beans they roast for you to take at home if you desire. Today, I simply ordered the Latte which was good. I've also tried their mocha which I recommend as well, especially with a touch of whipped cream. The downside of this spot is that the cafe has minimal space to sit so not a good hangout spot. You pretty much order your drinks to go. I've been to this location multiple times and often find their baristas lukewarm, barely smiling or even greeting you, especially compared to some of the new cafes popping up all over town.
