My coworker lives nearby and he recommended this coffee for me. He calls it the old fashioned and he said he always gets 2 when he visits Devout. It mimics the old fashioned cocktail but without the dry ice effect. The coffee looks dense and at the rim of the cup has some orange peels left. I gave it a sip, no sugar and boy it was rich. Rich and delicious, with a hint of orange scent, not overpowering but has presence. I like the consistent texture and flavor throughout the entire cup and at the end there was a slice of dried orange lying at the bottom of the cup, proudly announcing that it has done all the amazing job of this one cup journey. Yummy third wave spot in old Niles. I got a cold brew, my friend got the espresso tonic, and my other friend got their seasonal special latte. My cold brew was yummy! They use a Yama coffee tower to make their cold brew resulting in a smooth tasting cup. My friend thought his espresso tonic was too sweet, they seemed to have added simple syrup which is something we aren't used to. Still yummy but if you don't want something on the sweeter side, you should adjust the simple syrup. My friend also loved her seasonable latte! It was well balanced and tasty! First off, Devout's location is fantastic and lively. I would recommend to park across and a little down the street in the free public parking lot and take a little stroll over here. I appreciated the modern vibe inside and the indoor seating was quite spacious, it's a nice place to get some work done or catch up with friends. Ordering was made simple and quick with the kiosk at the entrance, and service was quick despite it being busy. I like that when ordering you are asked "for here" or "to go" so that when ordering a hot drink there is less waste being created. My only complaints are that there's no shade provided for a majority of their outdoor seating, they upcharge for alternative milk, although it is about half of what other coffee shops in Fremont usually charge, and there is only one size option for your beverage. read more

Took a guest here this winter. She is very devout herself, so it was a side bonus that she instantly felt connected to the shop just because of the name. The coffee was delicious and had a unique flavor. It was really good. I also liked the peppermint hot mocha. The staff not at the bar were also really nice (I'm sure the those on bar were nice too, just busy.) I'm sure its aesthetically pleasing usually, but was *stuffed* with people. The few staff looked swamped. I do want to give some grace to that, considering we also added to that burden lol, but they did make a few mistakes on the order-- they had to remake it once, and then they realized they didnt catch something when we ordered, which forced a substitution that was worth $1 less than I paid for, so they remade that drink again. I wasn't about make them run a refund when they were already running around like headless chickens, but they also didn't offer it. They warned us 20 minutes estimate, but I suppose it wasn't surprising we waited 40ish. No deal breakers, but all together kind of made me wish I hadn't already tipped. They were quick , explained everything and the coffee was perfection. Honestly I never knew they existed if it weren't for this setup. They were a hit as the lines for the coffee were consistent.
