Checked out this new coffee spot while they're still in their soft opening phase! It's the sister café to ChaChaCha in Fremont, so I wanted to give it a try. I ordered the Bam Bam coffee drink (you can also order this with matcha or hojicha), which is made with house-made marron cream and buckwheat. We looked up what marron cream is afterward and found out it's made from sweet chestnuts, so if you have a nut allergy, I would skip this drink. That said, I thought it was pretty good! I finished my drink so fast and was tempted to order another one. My friend, who has a nut allergy, ordered the matcha latte instead. I tried a sip, and while it was okay, neither of us thought it was anything special. It's probably not something I'd order for myself. The baked goods are from a local bakery called The Midwife and the baker, which also sells at the farmers market. I've had their pastries at the farmers market before, so I was excited to see them here. Of course, I had to order the ginger molasses cookie and it was so good! Love the simple decor and of course the photo machine is always a nice touch. Can't wait for their grand opening if they're going to add more items!

This is a every cute new cafe that opened in this part of town. We are really missing some nice cafes in East bay! Aesthetics - super cute, loved all the decor, loved the graph paper-esque tile and ceramics and tables. They have a cute photo booth as well, and their menu is printed on a nice linen/cloth paper. Drinks - they are still working out some kinks. They source their coffee from Loquat in LA (have not tried this before). Would like to come back and try other drinks!

Been eyeing this new coffee shop for several days and finally found the right time to stop by today around noon, when the line wasn't stretched out to the street. I waited about 8 minutes before ordering. One thing I noticed is that the menu isn't posted anywhere before you get to the register. It would definitely help if they had it displayed outside or near the entrance so customers have time to decide before it's their turn to order. When I got to the counter, I had a few questions about the drinks. The employee taking my order had to ask someone else for answers, and even then, my questions weren't fully addressed. I ended up ordering the Coconut Matcha and the Bam Bam and hoped for the best. I'm glad I did because both drinks were excellent. They were full of flavor, and after trying them, I completely understand why this place stays so busy. The shop itself is small, clean, and simple, with a handful of tables inside if you want to sit down. Overall, I'd give it a 4 out of 5. The drinks definitely live up to the hype, but I wish the staff were a little more knowledgeable about the menu and the products they're serving. Still, it's worth checking out if you're looking for a quality coffee spot.

Cute cafe with bright and modern Scandinavian decor. Staff are nice, friendly, and provide great service. However, the drinks did not live up to the hype for me. I was taken aback when I ordered a latte, cortado, & a shot of espresso on the side and was asked if I wanted regular or less sugar. I am used to these drinks being unsweetened by default at most coffee shops. My boyfriend also ordered the musconey with coffee, and it was too sweet for our tastes.

Very cute little coffee shop. I love their design and aesthetic. It's clear they put a lot of thought into it. They make good use of the space they have, even though the shop is small there is a good amount of seating both inside and outside. It gets busy, but the line moves fairly quickly and the drinks come out pretty quick too. I like that they have a small and well crafted menu. They also serve pastries from Midwife&Baker. I ordered their white miso coffee and the coconut matcha. The sweetness level is perfect - not too sweet. The prices are also fair. Would come back again.

Newark finally has a cute coffee spot among the sea of boba shops! Lalala uses beans from Loquat Coffee, an LA-based roaster and cafe. I ordered an ice vanilla latte which is made with house made Madagascar vanilla syrup, and a seasonal danish. Their pastries come from The Midwife and the Baker. The iced vanilla latte lacked vanilla flavor, but the coffee itself was good and balanced. It was a lil confusing when I asked about sweetness levels because they said their syrups are considered less sweet, but if I wanted more sweet, then I should get it regular sweet or more. I just said prefer less sweet. Maybe I should get regular next time? The danish was decent but nothing special. It'd be nice if the pastry was more crisp since it didn't have that flaky bite I was expecting. I toasted it at home after and that helped. It took about 30 minutes to get my drink. Keep in mind they're in the soft opening phase (as of 07/24/26) so wait times may be long. They also gave me the wrong pastry but immediately replaced it for me after I told them. A bit odd I didn't see any straws, but maybe that's just a soft opening miss. I love the attention to detail on the branding and overall design of the space. They have around 6 tables inside and a cute receipt-style black & white photo booth for you to take photos while you wait. I saw lots of ppl enjoying the Photo Booth. Would be a nice spot to work, but I didn't check on whether they had wifi. Overall I'd stop by again to try the other drinks. Happy to find a nice cafe in the Newark area!

Day Visited: Sunday at 9:45am Price Range: $$ Parking: Free - Parking lot Ordered: White Miso Caramel (iced, half sweetened) & Hojicha BAM BAM (iced, half sweetened) Finally tried this coffee shop for their second soft opening! Soft opening is currently 9-4pm. Line wasn't too long when we arrived but picked up as the morning continued. There is some seating available and we only saw one outlet, which was being used, but we easily found a seat. Their aesthetic is so cute and we really loved their self-serve mini photo kiosk (which is located towards the entrance). They are also selling coffee beans! Although it was busy, service was great and the staff were friendly, attentive, and tidy. It was clear that keeping a tidy bar space was important, and everyone had a defined role behind the bar. Their drinks had very subtle flavors! The White Miso Caramel could have benefited from a touch of salt in the syrup (or what is in the base), as when mixed with the milk & espresso, the drink tasted more milky than sweet notes. For the Hojicha, the roasted notes came through and I would order again! We look forward to their grand opening and trying their matcha next time!

The minute you walk in, you are met with VIBEZZZ all around. The cute signage, the minimalistic look and feel to the cafe, ugh to die for! The sweetest smile from the baristas as soon as you go up to order. They were so nice. My boys loved having their little photo shoot, i also joined in with them. They have the same photo-booth you love and would find at cha cha cha, but in style of 4 shot quadrant each photo slip printed. Now let's get to the stars of the show! 1.) The Matcha, now im a huge matcha and coffee connoisseur (at least i claim myself to be, and I lived the refreshing taste and feel to the coconut matcha, its a coconut water with matcha cloud cold foam. The cold foam sits right on top of the coconut water and drops down sooo beautifully, one would even say almost melts into the drink very sexy. And it's the perfect shade of matcha and the way the flavors blend, INCREDIBLE‍ 2.)The COFFEE, I also got the White Miso Caramel Latte (I did add an extra shot but because I love stronger coffee), it was amazing! The silky buttery way the miso and caramel flavors mix with the coffee made my coffee taste so creamy and buttery and like didn't taste acidic even with the extra shot. The flavors just blended so perfectly. I would definitely be coming back.

This just opened and we came during their soft opening. It is located inside of a plaza with ample parking. This is the sister company of ChaChaCha located in Fremont. We ordered the matcha latte and jasmine matcha latte. Both were really good, but the Jasmine Matcha Latte was the best! I loved the tea quality and matcha taste. It is very aesthetic inside with indoor and outdoor seating. It also has a photo machine similar to ChaChaCha.

LALALA i am singing the praises of the white miso caramel. i probably scared away the barista because i very aggressively expressed my appreciation for the white miso caramel latte. (NO i didn't bark, who do you think i am, do you really consider me so lowly that i would get on my knees and ruff ruff in thanksgiving, i am a decent human being, i just said wow the drink is yummy) location - near sprouts. big signs. no digital kiosk, order with barista on bar. lovely! she recommended the miso caramel. ate that rec up. fast service, you cap drinks yourself. the lids are tricky to put on though. we got the jasmine matcha, matcha latte, and of course the woof woof miso - their matchas are prebatched. i think they're like your average matcha, one step above starbucks but two below maruwu seicha. both jasmine matcha and regular latte were ... 7/10? MISO!!! so umami. not overpowering at all. the coffee taste was strong still but really balanced with the salty savory sweet miso. love it. 8.5/10 2 gripes - the miso syrup is on the bottom i guess for aesthetics. EW! down with the imprisoning institution of aesthetic. i do not want to mix my drink myself and get uneven bits of syrup. please mix in either the milk and espresso before building the latte! also less ice is still a lot of ice (3/4 of the cup) overall a 4, hoping to see improvement!

    Asked for less ice.

Came by to try their Bam Bam drink. They charged extra for coffee? I wasn't expecting that would be extra? I understand non dairy milk is extra but either matcha or coffee? $10 for this small drink because of extra charges is ridiculous. Not a good start. Also I asked for less ice in all the drinks I ordered and see pics. Cups are filled more than halfway with ice! Will see if these get sorted out after their "soft" opening.

Invited by the new Newark Chamber President and Fremont Mayor Emerita Lily Mei to try this brand new coffee shop. We ordered the White Miso Caramel and the Coconut Matcha. After trying the Coconut Matcha I asked if they used ceremonial grade matcha powder and yes that is what they use! The drink was really smooth and flavorful! Their pastries were tasty and pulled apart easily. Staff was very friendly and informative. Plenty of free parking in front. They are located to the far right of the building where their sign is partially obscured by a large tree. The interior is comfortable and another great place to have informal meetings. Definitely a place to go to over and over again.

The parking lot was completely full, so you have to be patient with finding a parking spot. It was pretty crowded and because of that, everyone had to self order. Throughout my time there, lots of customers came through, but I received my drink relatively quickly. As for the drink itself, the house mocha was okay, but I'm glad that I was able to try the Hojicha cream! The mocha + Hojicha cream was an interesting combination, but I think I would try their Hojicha Latte the next time I go. They have matcha, Hojicha, and seasonal offerings as well (like their banana cream!). There is a single bathroom (with code), WiFi (spotty sometimes but I was still able to get what I needed done), and a decent amount of seating (depending on time you go) with available outlets. I worked there from 12 to almost closing, and was able to get the table near the window + an outlet! I was truly sat. Overall, I would come again to try a different drink and hope to snag a table to work! If you're able to get a good spot to sit, it's a solid place to be productive. Thanks Lac Coffee!

I'd love to keep Pie Dreams my little secret, but out of respect for the proprietor's mad baking skills, it's behind Dino's. The owner is passionate about his pies and shared his philosophy about how pie can make us all nicer, gentler people. I mean, that's not exactly verbatim, but the pie case made it hard to pay attention. On my visit, there were two savory pies (hand pies) and a selection of sweet pies (hand pies and slices). Being a big supporter of small businesses, I ordered 4. All I can say is I'm super happy I don't live closer. The chicken bacon hand pie was delicious. Big pieces of chicken in a flavorful creamy sauce. There may have been some vegetables in it but I was driving and it was unsafe to inspect my pie closely. The caramel apple hand pie was good. Because I'm not an apple pie fan I appreciated that the apples were sliced thinly, not chunky, and I loved the addition of the sanding sugar on top. I ordered the apricot frangipane (AF) for two reasons: it was double-crusted and it didn't have whipped cream on top. I wasn't totally on board with frangipane since my experience with it in boxed chocolates was "meh." Plus they seem to love it on the Great British Bake-Off and it always looks so unappealing. But paired with the tartness of the apricots and a crust that reminded me of shortbread, I think the AF was my favorite, though I haven't tried the blueberry lemon yet. If you love pie, go to Pie Dreams and have a slice or three (no judgment here). If you're not sure or don't think you like pie, go to Pie Dreams. You may surprise yourself.

The coconut pudding pie was sooo good, loved the texture and flavor, they had toasted coconut on the side to add on top. The fresh silk pie was my favorite! It was not overly chocolatey and had a nice mousse texture, there was an under layer of crisp ganache that made all the flavors and textures pop! The crust is nice and buttery and flakey. These were not heavy pies, just creamy light melt in your mouth. They also have frozen pies so you can take and bake yourself. This definitely satisfied my sweet tooth, and will be back this time to order a whole pie!
