Came here on Thanksgiving Day so this review is long overdue. Bonus points for the staff and Feng Cha Teahouse for actually being open. Hours of operation were limited but very much appreciated since everyone deserves to have some family time during the holidays. I arrived to a few other parties already ordering and 2 staff members behind the counter. Placing orders are done via kiosks which not only allows you to make your own personalized customizations but it also make things fool proof when it comes to avoiding possible conflicts between patrons and staff regarding mistakes. Purchases: * TARO MILK TEA * TARO MILK TEA + BOBA * OOLONG MILK TEA + SEA SALT FOAM + CRYSTAL BOBA Beverages were made according to our requests and the sugar levels were spot on!! Service was pretty quick and the establishment was clean. 4 stars- orders are made correctly but don't expect any interactions amongst staff. They spoke between themselves and only paused to hand off orders.
AFTER DINNER EVENING DESSERT I been here several times. If I have a dessert craving most of the time I go to Feng Cha Teahouse after having dinner at home. My first time I went here the first drink I ordered was a hot ginger milk tea, which has a spicy yet soothing texture. Most of the drinks I've ordered from Feng Cha Teahouse are dirty boba drinks. The consistency of these boba drinks isn't too watery. Also in terms of the flavor the dirty boba drinks isn't too sweet that you can get a sugar rush. There are several boba drink places that serve food. What makes Feng Cha Teahouse different from other places that serve food is the milk foam cakes. I could be wrong, but I don't see milk foam cakes sold at other boba places. The milk foam cake served at Feng Cha Teahouse is light and airy. The flavors of the milk foam cake provide a texture similar to cheese souffle. My favorite milk foam cake at Feng Cha Teahouse is the sea salt pearl. It's like dirty boba on a foam cake. I don't come to Feng Cha Teahouse every time after dessert however if I have a craving after dinner I'd come here for the dirty boba and milk foam cake.

Loveddd everything, now I want to try a bunch of new drinks on the menu and come more often to get work done.
Really good boba ! I had their ube latte with boba and it was super refreshing. Just know the espresso taste is not on the sweeter side so the drink itself is not super sweet but I like it that way. The ube flavor was awesome and the boba was cooked nicely. Service is super quick here! And there are plenty of tables to sit and work at though I took it to go.
Stopped by Feng Cha in Union City for a quick pick-me-up and ordered a hot black coffee--unfortunately, it was a bit too bitter for my taste. To be fair, I didn't try any of their boba drinks, which seem to be the main draw here. The menu has a wide variety of milk teas, fruit teas, and creative drinks, so it's possible I just didn't order their specialty. The space itself is clean and modern, and the staff was friendly. If you're into tea-based drinks or boba, this might be more your scene--but if you're going just for coffee, skip.

My friend and I had strawberry and dragon fruit. They didn't have an option for type of crystal boba on the kiosk or I forgot but the main cashier register wasn't work, so I paid again to add boba. Nice ambiance The taste of my dragon fruit drink was a little flat for sweetness so maybe next time I'll get 100 instead of 50%. This place is my go-to for boba with friends. Generally very chill and good vibes and clean.
Got a couple of delivered through DoorDash. Taro chocolate cake - 3.5/5: a little too Molly and chalky for my taste. Tasted a little raw. Tiramisu - 3/5: more milky than coffee. The presentation and packing is pretty good.

This place has the best Taro milk tea with taro foam! Their boba has perfect texture. Thai tea is really good and creamy. The inside is nice and clean and their kiosk system was a better experience than from before. Ordered on kiosk with no problems, sat down for only about 5 minutes and my drinks were already ready! Well made drinks and great menu.

Location inside a plaza with other restaurants, Feng Cha is a must try! Parking is available -- limited up front or you can park in the parking lot, plenty of parking. Feng Cha Teahouse has some of the best drinks and desserts. Many options to choose from, lovely selection. I like that this location is very cutesy, very clean and cozy. It's welcoming and the staff is very nice and polite. I often order drinks and cakes to go. But maybe one of these days, I'll order a drink and take a seat. After eating lunch just a few doors down, my brother and I, ended up coming here to get boba. We ordered coffee milk tea with boba, oolong milk tea with sear salt foam, and two oolong milk teas with boba. Out of all the drinks we've ordered, I've only tried the coffee milk tea. The drink had no coffee or tea flavor and the boba was bland. The only thing I tasted was "cocoa". In terms of service, we ordered 4 drinks but they didn't even ask us if we wanted a bag or a cup holder. The cashier just left our drinks on the counter. My brother had to walk up to the cashier to ask for a bag. Also, my brother doesn't like toppings in his drink so it doesn't make sense to use a boba straw. i've been here a few times for their dirty boba - which is pretty good but...I came here today with my family because it was around the corner. Few things about today's experience: 1. Theres so much ice in all drinks (unless they noted less) 2. There was a fly in my sister's drink. She ordered the Kiwi Basil green tea and we didn't notice until we came home that there was a fly in the drink. The top is sealed (except for where the straw is) - so it couldn't have flown into the drink. I don't think I'll be visiting this location anymore. We stopped into Feng Cha with a group of friends after lunch to continue chatting and catching up and, of course, to get boba! My husband wanted coffee, so he got the Dirty Caffe Latte--we got a little confused by the use of "dirty" here. I'm used to a dirty drink being like tea with coffee mixed in (ie. crossing the streams between tea and coffee), but it seems like "dirty" just means brown sugar here. Either way, he enjoyed his drink! I got the dragonfruit drink with boba, but once I took a sip I realized they forgot to add boba, so I had to go back to the counter and they took my drink back and I thought they'd just add the boba to it and re-cap it, but it seems like they just totally remade the drink? Felt a little wasteful (like, I still would have drunk the boba-less one if they'd let me keep it). Otherwise it was a decent boba drink, but not necessarily something to write home about. My other friends also enjoyed their various drinks (especially their kids, LOL), so seems like a solid bubble tea place overall. Not necessarily a place I'll go out of my way to get to, but it's good to know about and I wouldn't be opposed to stopping in again next time I'm in the area looking for boba. read more

I ordered the Bursting Dragonfruit at 50% sweetness back in December; it was a bit watery for me. There was no crowd before 12 pm, but the crew (two girls at the front) looked like they have a bleh attitude like what's the point of working at this hour. I have heard of this place (it was in my bookmarks for a while lol) and saw that it was actually on my way home when I was looking for boba so I gave it a shot. I have gone here maybe 3-4 times since then. The space is big with plenty of sitting areas. It is also quiet enough that you can probably do some studying or work here while you enjoy your treats. I ordered in the screen even though the staff usually ask me if I want to order with them. Being a new place I take a while looking at what to order so I opted for the tablet ordering. It was nice of them to ask though. So far I like the taro milk tea and the mango fantasy. The drinks seem pretty solid and I love to try more. Been here a few times now and I've enjoyed my drinks for the most part. My favorite has got to be their popular creme brulee dirty boba. The creme brulee on top is so rich and creamy. Love the little sugar bits from the torched cream. Boba pearls are warm, sugary, and perfectly chewy. I will say that they can be a bit inconsistent in terms of sugar levels. My 50% sweet dirty boba was sweeter than my friend's (her's mostly tasted like milk). Their dirty taro drink is good too (complete catfish though) and I loved the addition of fresh taro. Drinks have always came out quick. There's the option to self-order on the kiosk or with a worker at the register. Overall, not a go-to spot but a good option for me. read more

Really cute location! Love how they have a bear to take cute pics. You could either order at the register or order on the kiosk. They do not take cash by the way. My brother tried their sparkling water option for a non-caffienated drink and it was good! But I prefer coming for tea. I got their kiwi drink and it was good as well. This isn't something I would normally order but I thought why not. It came with basil seeds which is such a perfect touch to the drink itself. Stopped by after lunch on Sunday for a quick drink. Feng Cha is in a plaza so there are plenty of parking spaces. It is clean and very spacious inside. There is one kiosk to order and I believe you can order with someone as well. I ordered Mango Fantasy and my friend ordered Overflowing Grapefruit. There was a special that you can get a Pink Spring for $1.99 if you order either drink so my friend tried it. Mango Fantasy is decent, but i would have liked it more if it had more mango flavor. Maybe it's because it's not mango season yet. The grapefruit pieces were definitely a surprise - it was chewy and a little bitter. On second thought if my drink was more sweet, maybe it would have been better, as I ordered it half sweet. Pink Spring according to my friend was okay, but there are some boba like pieces that had a weird texture but the drink itself was decent. A cute boba spot in Newark! I have been to their Milpitas location and like that as well. I got my favorite Mango Au Lait with 25% sugar and less ice and wasn't disappointed! After going here many times, I finally tried one of the cakes... I don't know why I waited so long. It was so smooth and light! I love the variety of drinks, plus the endless build-your-own options! After dinner, we came here for boba. We used the kiosk to order our drinks. A lot of drinks looked good but I'm a sucker for dragon fruit. I got their bursting dragon fruit tea and my husband got the mango fantasy. He said the drink was ok. Mine was good esp with real fruits. Overall the cost of the drinks is high. Hello Yen, we have the option to choose milk or black milk tea. You can also ask to use other flavors of foam such as matcha, taro and others!

Try to go back? I did that at a different location and they remade it, but I was only gone for a few minutes so they remembered me. Lesson learned to check the drinks before leaving!

Hi Win! Our Brown Sugar Ginger Tea is a Chrysanthemum Tea with no caffeine in it. We also have Jasmine Green Tea which is going have the least caffeine out of our menu of 13 brewed teas. Hope to see you in store to try some of our teas!
