A nice tea shop. My husband and I came in for a drink and snack before a long trip and we were pleasantly surprised. We got a matcha drink and a strawberry tea as well as 2 dessert cream puff sandwiches, one strawberry and one match (do you see a theme here) The drinks were very good, not sweet and they had a good amount of ice. The pastries were pretty good, the strawberry one was my favorite, the cream had a less oily feel compared to the matcha one. We ordered on a tablet so not much to say about customer service besides the workers being very quick. It took maybe 5-10 minutes to get our order. In town for a short vacay. After a long trail walk on a very warm day, we were ready for refreshing drinks. We decided to give Truewin a try since it was close and had good Yelp ratings. The interior was clean and the display was catchy. Their pricing is lower than other shops I have frequented. They also offer a Senior discount if ordered in person. The employee who was working did not have good customer service skills. She immediately directed me to the self serve kiosk. When I asked her if I can apply the discount there, she gave me a displeased look, flipped the tablet toward her, and said I'll help you here. I wished the menu included a description of each drink's ingredients. When I asked the employee, she seemed annoyed and answered so quickly that I had to request her to repeat what she said several times. Each time, she became more impatient. I opted for the lychee with tea jelly. I've had different types of jelly, yet never tried tea jelly. It had a good, strong tea flavor. Unfortunately, the drink itself was watery and I could barely taste the lychee. My son opted for the Lucky Jasmine milk tea and also said his drink tasted watered down. My friend who is not particular did not really care for her King mango pomelo either. Even though I didn't receive courteous service and our drinks were just mid, I still left a nominal tip. I worked in the service industry throughout HS and college and tips were always helpful. There's an old adage - "You get what you pay for". When I first came here a year ago, I gave it 5 stars and have been coming back every time I'm in the area. But my latest visit was so disappointing that I won't be coming back again. They no longer allow customers to use the bathroom or the wifi, and the ratio of boba in my drink was way too little. Normally I could overlook a one time boba ratio issue but all of these issues together make it seem like they're being deliberately stingy. Guess it's time to find a new favorite place. It has a medium to large size space that has about 3-4 tables with wooden lounge chairs. They have a self serve kiosk for quick ordering. Depending on when you go, they have random deals for drinks. On a random day, I was able to get bogo 50%. The cups have a nice design and changed occasionally. My typical order is the four season with cream, I enjoy the authentic tea flavor. I love their teas and I am a repeat customer. May favorites are the Cream Peach Green Tea and the Cream Grape Green Tea. The only thing that needs a lot of improvement is the service. The kiosk is the only way to order. And because the menu is huge, people take forever to decide what to get, occupying the kiosk for average 8min + per person. There is no service at all. The staff doesn't take the order from you or give recommendations. So even though it takes forever for the ppl to stand in front of the kiosk, you just have to wait. And the checkout automatically charges you 15% tips. Make sure to select your top option if you do not want to pay extra. The app doesn't have the discount/offer they text you. So using the app isn't really a choice if you want to take advantage of the discounts. I like the teas but hope to see improvement from the management on the ordering process. read more

[[ Food ]] I didn't try their boba but came for their souffle's which were already all prepared and sitting in a refrigerated display case that you can't miss. We decided to try the Strawberry Souffle. Overall I found it to be quite tasty with good flavor (not too sweet) and a very soft pastry surrounding it. It's quite big and definitely shareable with someone else. However, I think it's a bit pricey at $9.95 and even though it is good, I don't think it's a "cheap" dessert that you can get often (at least in my opinion). I was informed the minimum purchase for a Gift Card was $50 then I was told they didn't any Gift Cards or, they couldn't find them... Any who, they told me that if I paid today, they would write it down on a piece of paper, so when the recipient came in, they could redeem their drink, really??? How ridiculous for a minimum GC amount to $50 for tea!!! Second, how unprofessional to have such a high valued amount written on a piece of scratch paper???
