When I first came here a year ago, I gave it 5 stars and have been coming back every time I'm in the area. But my latest visit was so disappointing that I won't be coming back again. They no longer allow customers to use the bathroom or the wifi, and the ratio of boba in my drink was way too little. Normally I could overlook a one time boba ratio issue but all of these issues together make it seem like they're being deliberately stingy. Guess it's time to find a new favorite place. Their calamari is the BEST calamari I've ever had at a milk tea shop!! Each piece was perfectly coated with seasoning that was the perfect spice level, it was a good mix of legs/rings, and it was perfectly cooked, not rubbery at all! I would go out of my way to come here just for that calamari. It was so delicious!! I also tried their original/cream flavor soufflé and it was super yummy. There were some claw and arcade machines, so if you're into that you could play something. Could be a casual hangout spot for you and your friends. The staff doesn't take the order from you or give recommendations. So even though it takes forever for the ppl to stand in front of the kiosk, you just have to wait. And the checkout automatically charges you 15% tips. Make sure to select your top option if you do not want to pay extra. The app doesn't have the discount/offer they text you. So using the app isn't really a choice if you want to take advantage of the discounts. I like the teas but hope to see improvement from the management on the ordering process. read more

However, I think it's a bit pricey at $9.95 and even though it is good, I don't think it's a "cheap" dessert that you can get often (at least in my opinion). I genuinely do like Truewin Tea Shoppe, however, my most recent visit left to be desired. I understand and truly expected it to be busy, especially when there is a special promotion going on, in this case it was buy 1 get 1 free on the drinks. My grip is why have ordering available through the Snackpass app, if it's only going to take twice as long, compared to ordering in store using the kiosk? I ordered ahead through the Snackpass app, and had my order placed at 3:09pm. I didn't get my drinks until almost 3:40ish! Yet, the people that stood in line at the store waiting to use the kiosks, got their drinks ahead of me and I had placed my order way before them... It turns out they have two separate printers, one that prints out kiosk orders and one that prints out app orders. Nevertheless, I think when they have such popular promotions, they need to have better system in place.
