Bubble teas are ok little different here with foams and creams inside. Got the Puff cream milk tea. Took less sweet and was more bland than what I'm used to. Didn't taste much of the puff cream. Service a bit slow with the large online orders. Play it right as school next door can make lunch time and after school rush even longer wait.
This is my fav boba joint! They make the best matcha with a salted cream cheese. It is the perfect blend. If I want a lighter drink I go for the green tea with salted cream cheese and you won't go wrong. They use fresh quality teas and their cream cheese is a winner. It's thick, creamy, and just divine! This tea joint is not to be missed if you're in town. Its a really small place. It's a grab and go and there are no tables or chairs last time I've been. The teas are freshly made and I've had their other drinks as well and it was good. I can't complain when I'm here bc service is fast and their drinks are made consistently good. If you're in this area is a must-stop for your boba enthusiast!
A new discovery even though this place has been here. My favorite drinks here are the cocomelon and cocomango. Super good and toppings are generous. I go often enough that I get discounts by adding my number in the orders. They are attached to a Chinese restaurant but I haven't tried the restaurant before. The parking area is small but we usually find a couple spots when we go. Also the dining area is pretty small so we usually order for to go.
Was in the area and wanted to try a new tea/boba spot. This one was roughly 4 mins from where i was and checked yelp reviews as i always do and decided we'd' try this place. First when you come, it's a bit of a hole in the wall but don't let that fool you. They have a self service kiosk so you can scroll through the options and do your customizations. Luckily there was no one behind us at that moment so i had a chance to look at the options and customizations. We opted for: Cheese mousse Uji matcha w/ the crème brûlée add on Thai milk tea w/ the crème brûlée add on Our drinks came out within 5 mins and OMG, they looked amazing. My fiancee and i couldn't resist drinking them before snapping pics. The cheese mousse is divine. If you like cheese foam on your drinks, TRY THIS. You will NOT regret it. I'm telling you, it was so damn good. I'm thinking of going to get another one today.
I recently just tried the dragon fruit lychee drink and it was delicious! All their drinks come out fresh you can actually see them peel the fruits! If you're ever in Fremont just stop by you'll definitely find your favorite drink here! The service is quick since there's a self-serving kiosk and the style here is always very cute picture worthy!
This is a unique establishment. It's actually two restaurants in one. Royaltea and the other is Fortune Cookie. Royaltea for boba drinks, and Fortune Cookie for Chinese food. This place is mostly take out. Very few dining seats. Unfortunately the day we came they were not serving boba tea. The food menu is your basic Chinese cuisine. The service is fast and basic. The prices are reasonable and the food is good too.
This place has been here for a while but today I finally stopped to try it out! I got the Cream White Peach Oolong Tea w honey boba, and Osmanthus Oolong Tea w honey boba. As you can see from the photos, the colors aren't so great.. but don't let that fool you! I love love LOVEDD the foam on the Cream White Peach Oolong Tea, but the tea isn't up to par. Didn't really have white peach taste, but mostly just Oolong tea itself. There was A LOT of cream; almost filled half the cup! I was like "sickkk so much foammm" at first, but after drinking the abundance of foam felt so heavy. If I ever order a cream drink again, I would specifically tell them to tone it down a little bit. I could tell the Osmanthus Oolong Tea was REAL real, there was a hint of bitterness! Don't get me wrong! It's not like the herbal tea type bitterness, there is a good taste of sweetness in it! Yummy! If I came again, would order this again defo. The honey boba for both drinks were grreeeattt, probaby one of the best I've every had! So so chewy! The pearls didn't stick together too much, and each sip of tea had at least two pearls! So, great portion of boba! What really knocked off some stars was the visual representation of the tea. When the staff presented them to me, they were almost pitch black. I thought they were like.. Chinese herbal tea! Like.. the really bitter and strong ones.. The staff was quick to prepare the drinks, waited less than ten mins! The place was pretty small and there's limited seating, so I think it's best suited for grab and go orders.
I had to place a last-minute order for 300 drinks for a staff appreciation event, and RoyalTea was able to make the drinks with less than 24 hours' notice! I truly appreciate their quick, efficient, and professional service. Not only was their turnaround impressive, but the drinks themselves were delicious from their milk teas to their fruit teas. I highly recommend RoyalTea for a refreshing treat or for any catering needs!
I forgot how much I love the tea here. I was a big fan many years ago when the Oakland location was opened (that location unfortunately has been closed). I remember my go-to order was the Sakura tea with cheese cream. I came here again recently and saw that they have a new tea called Da Hong Pao Tea Latte (50% ice, 75% Sugar), and it was perfect! The menu said it has chocolate notes, but I didn't expect it to come with actual finely shaved chocolate, which turned out to be a lovely touch. It's a black tea with chocolate. I loved it. It was also my first time sipping tea from a straw made of three other tiny straws. The staff saw how confused I was lol and helped me understand that it was not a mistake and that it's supposed to make the drink taste better. I think it worked. I feel like it has something to do with aeration, super unique. My friends caught me up to speed and said that Mollie tea across the bay has these straws too. I would definitely get this drink again. There's very limited seating (stool/window seating only), and it's more of a to-go spot rather than a place to hang and chill (especially not groups). I like that they have a small parking lot. They also have a food spot that shares the same space, although I didn't try it so I can't say if it was good but it smelled good! I think it was Chinese food. I'll have to come back again soon.
First impressions the place seems pretty underwhelming. It was a hot summer day when I came and we were disappointed to find the store didn't have AC. It was much cooler outside than inside the store. I ended up getting the osmanthus oolong tea with 100% sugar. I would recommend to not reduce the sugar level since all of my friends decided to get reduce sugar in their drinks and it tasted pretty plain but with 100% sugar it was the perfect sweetness along with brining out the tea flavor
I got their oat milk brown sugar boba milk tea and it was honestly very meh. The boba itself was a little too soft for me (and I usually like soft, but this was especially soft). The tea itself was generally just milk tasting to me, but the sugar in the boba did help with flavor. However the drink was super affordable since some small drinks start at $5 which is pretty awesome. Unfortunately, there are so many other boba options nearby that are better imo that I probably won't return. However, it's a great, cheap option for high school/middle school students. The vibe is really simple and they have a picture wall if you want a cute insta moment. Lastly, the service is good if not a little bit slow. However, it's obviously small family run so we should cut them some slack.

They have recently upgraded to have 2 ordering kiosks. The kiosk is easy to use and you are able to see pictures of the menu items, making it easier for a new customer to decide what they want. This place is a pick up and go spot. There's some skinny tables with bar seat style chairs but no one really stays to finish their drink inside the store. Cup design has changed but the size is the same as before. See photo for size comparison of regular and large. Large is an extra dollar as of 1/18/25
I ordered an Uji matcha latte with cheese mousse for myself and peach green tea with aloe for my boyfriend. Even with no sugar added for matcha, it tasted a little sweet; it still tasted good. I tried a sip of my boyfriend's drink and it was good. It had a hint of flor, but not overbearing.
On my NorCal journey of trying out boba franchises that don't exist in SoCal, I decided to stop by Royaltea which has several franchise locations in China AND I guess I did go to one of these locations super close to me during the COVID pandemic (might have killed the business). I remember it being just okay, but I guess each franchise owner does things a little bit differently because I enjoyed my drink here! It's a super casual boba spot that shares a space with a Chinese take out restaurant. There's some counter seating, probably for the students since there's a high school across the street and lots of zoomers there after school. Decent amount of parking in the lot. You can order ahead, order at any of their 2 touch screen kiosks, or even order from staff if need be (saw this happen). It did take some time for our drinks to come out but that was because there was only 1 staff working before his colleague clocked in and it was right after school when other students were ordering lots of drinks. I got the new on the menu Buckwheat Longjing Tea Latte. There's whipped cream and candied pecans on top. Reminds me a lot of what Chayan and Auntea Jenny are doing. Quite trendy. I got this at 25% sweet and it's not bad. Perfect level of sweetness that doesn't overpower the tea and the mix of whipped cream and a bite here or there of the candied nuts adds the a nice sugary pang to it. You can taste the roasted flavor of the buckwheat. Good stuff. I noticed that they also have the elegant "Oriental" style cups and the thing 3 prong flute straws. The big Chinese franchises are doing that and I don't recall the SoCal location having that so, it really does depend on which one you go to. Boyfriend liked his sugar free drink with cheese foam and I wouldn't mind coming back here in the future. read more

Had to pick up a friend nearby so found this place to be a good meeting spot for a drink. Plenty of parking spots and street parking or even in the next lot. It seemed to specialize in cheese mousse or salted cheese. Very similar to Happy Lemon and I do like Happy Lemon's salted cheese. Since it was already after 5pm and I still wanted to be able to sleep at night, I only got a small Cheese Mousse Mountain Green Tea. Otherwise I would have gotten a large Cheese Mousse Oolong tea. The taste was not bad. I should have gotten more than 25% sugar, but all good. Refreshing and I would visit again. Wonder how their regular milk tea would taste. read more
My wife had a 5-star deal BOGO for the Puff Cream Boba Milk Tea only. I didn't mind because that was my favorite drink here at Royaltea USA. Creamy, sweet but savory. The milk tea was flavorful. The service was friendly and patient. read more

I stumbled upon this place while driving and decided to try their boba! I ordered on the kiosk and got a brown sugar boba milk tea with creme brulee. It came out within 5 minutes which was fast! It was perfectly sweet and the creme brulee was refreshing. The brown sugar ran out after about half of the drink but the creme brulee taste replaced the brown sugar taste and was delicious. The boba was chewy but wasn't as flavorful as I would've liked as I wish it was soaked in brown sugar or honey instead of being plain. I would come back again though to try another drink! read more

I'm usually pretty picky with my boba and this place doesn't disappoint! I got the brown sugar boba milk with oat milk, no adjustments. The sweetness is perfect, not overly sweet it's like equivalent to 75% at most places. The boba is nice and chewy, and the brûlée cheese foam is delicious! read more
Honestly, Royaltea USA makes the absolute best Oreo Boba Drink in the Bay Area! The Puff Cream around the cup gives it that real Oreo cookie taste. The sizing of the cups vs. the price is really giving you your moneys worth. Of course, gotta add some boba pearls at the bottom too. Highly recommend always!! read more

A small boba shop that looks more like shabby storefront yet they served Chinese fast food take-out and bubble tea no room for dine-in. Upon entry we were greeted very warmly by the staff and the prices are down right cheap for those on a shoestring budget Bro chose one large size Thai milk tea 50% less sweetness for $4.75! I chose lemon yakult a very healthy nutrious tea for $5.50 large size with regular ice. You can place your order through self service kiosk or at the front counter. Definitely a place to go for all you're thirst quencher for a cool refreshment on a hot summer day. Here they provide parking for its customers share with other business though depending time and a day it can be a miss or hit. read more
Really didn't like my Jasmine milk tea drink to be honest, my friend raves about it through so it could have been an off time. It was really milky and watery with hardly any jasmine flavor. I've been to this location twice. The first time I ordered a green milk tea, 50% sweetness 0% ice, which was okay, but I felt like the taste of the tea needed to be stronger since the milk really overpowered it. The second time, I ordered an Oreo milk tea, large size, with 25% sweetness and 0% ice. I liked this one better since the Oreo adds a bit more sugar and texture which makes it okay even with setting a lower sweetness level on the drink. The prices are okay compared to today's boba prices in Fremont. I appreciate that Royaltea has a fairly large menu and they have also been very quick with making the drinks. read more
Royaltea USA is in an unassuming, old building, but their milk tea and fruit tea were both a hit! Here's what we got: Cheese Mousse Milk Tea (4.5/5): thought this was a mistake when I first sipped the cheese foam, because the cheese flavor is reeeeeeally strong. BUT once mixed with the milk tea, it's delicious. The milk tea has a strong tea flavor, which I love, and there's a very subtle cheese flavor when mixed. I got 75% sweetness and the sweetness is just right, it compliments the strong milk tea flavor well! Cheese Mousse Lychee Dragon Tea (4.5/5): this is more of a slushy than fruit tea. This was very refreshing and fruity. Great after a workout or on a hot summer day! read more

It was alright; the shop is shared with a restaurant in a small parking lot. We had the cheese mousse osmanthus oolong tea and puff cream oreo milk tea. The cheese foam was pretty thick (very much like a heavy cream) and unfortunately not very cheesy. It wasn't particularly sweet or salty; I think it needed some more salt tbh to have a stronger contrast with the sweetened tea. The tea was refreshing but a little watered down. Not very strong osmanthus flavor, which I was looking forward to (bummer!). The milk tea was also a little watered down. The tea flavor wasn't very strong. The puff was ok, creamy. Overall pretty average, nothing special that captured our taste buds. read more

I'd never heard of this spot in Fremont, but we were nearby and gave it a try. It's a small establishment with barstool seating, and a good selection of drinks. I was surprised to see meals on the menu as well. I ordered a Puff Cream Boba Milk Tea, which I'd give a 2/5. The tea flavor isn't really prominent, so it was pretty much all milk. The puff cream didn't deliver on its creaminess, but it was nice to see it spread across the cup's lining. The boba itself wasn't remarkable. read more
My friends and I came here at 12pm and were told the boba wasn't ready until 40 minutes later.. Luckily, one of my friends lived down the street so we ended up killing time in the meantime. We came back and thank goodness the boba was ready! First time trying Royaltea was in Oregon. I'm a sucker for anything creme brûlée so when I saw brown sugar creme brûlée milk I knew I had to get it! I was able to adjust my ice level to 50%. The size for a large and price was reasonable.. (damn inflation tho). Drink was very well made and looked pretty good. The brown sugar boba was definitely fresh and warm. It had the perfect amount of soft chewiness. Love the material of the cups. Definitely could repurpose this! read more
My friend and I stopped here for an afternoon pick-me-up during the week as a part of our lunch break. It wasn't busy at all, and we were able to order from the counter right away. I ordered the matcha latte, and my friend ordered the brown sugar boba milk tea. Both drinks were pretty good. This place is close to work, so I am sure I will be back to try other drinks. Parking here is a little scarce. Even though it wasn't busy, there were not a lot of parking available in their little plaza. I imagine if it was a busier time, it may be difficult to park here. read more

Does the brown sugar creme brulee have tea in it? Can it be made with a non-dairy option?

Will you go back to the old lid for drinks with cheese foam? Past several times it's been a different lid requiring a straw and not able to sip the drink directly from the cup lid. Thanks
