TP Tea is one of my absolute favorites for milk tea, so I was extremely happy that they opened one in Newark. Their tie guan yin milk tea is the real deal. It's a very robust and deep tea flavor mixed with a creamy milk that makes for the perfect and strong milk tea. I'm not sure if they are still in their soft opening phase, but it definitely seems like their ops could be improved. We were their first customers at 12:03 PM but they were clearly not ready yet, as they still had their door barricade blocking the entrance. After we ordered 2 x tie guan yin milk teas and waited several minutes, one of the employees let me know that they finished making 1 of the drinks but ran out of the tie guan yin for the other. She offered their tie guan yin fresh milk and said it was basically the same. Odd that they ran out of one of their, if not most, popular tea blends at the start of the morning -- unsure if due to inadequate planning or what, but I sure hope this doesn't happen again! I'd also say that the fresh milk version wasn't identical too; it was far more milky, making the ratios off. Nonetheless, the one tgy milk tea was made consistent to how it usually is, so at least one of them was up to par.

I'm glad that there's a TP Tea that opened close to us now. We don't have to drive to SJ for TP Tea. Lol... I stopped by here yesterday to grab a drink. I got my favorite which is the Strawberry Milk Tea w/ lychee jelly. I ordered at the counter with a staff member. They do have the kiosks, but they were turned to the wall so maybe it's not working currently? There was a little wait even though I was the only customer there. The guy apologized for the wait. The drink was very good! I can really taste the lovely strawberry and tea flavor. I will definitely return again. :) The place is really small compared to the TP Tea location in SJ or Sunnyvale. But it's about the same size as Pleasanton's. They do have a couple seating areas inside and outside the store.

This is a new TP tea in the Newark area . I love their Tia Guan Fresh milk tea . I am glad that it opens a new branch in Newark . Before the closest ones are in Milpitas and Pleasanton . I like the tea and boba they made . They use good quality tea leaves and fresh ingredients. Inside there is a comfortable sofa for 4-5 people including a table for handicapped people. This is very considerate for elderly and the families who come visit . Outside there are round tables and chairs for people to hang around. Most of the orders are to go orders . The only complaint was that I lined up for a while to get to my order . When the two ladies in front of me picked up their orders , mine ( one drink ) was not ready for another 10 minutes. It was a very long wait compared to other TP tea . Since they are beans new , I hope that the can improve their work flow .

Grand opening week! 03/17/26

Soft opening week! I am so happy there is a TP Tea much closer to me now, so I no longer have to go all the way to San Mateo or Pleasanton.  The name always has the 8 year old in my giggling , but TP has slowly, but surely started to gain a foothold in the crowded Bay Area boba landscape with calculated expansion. It's certainly been a long time coming for this Newark location, as I had been monitoring the progress of the construction over the months, but the day has finally arrived. This spot used to be local staple, QT Monster, which had been operating for many years, so I'm glad to see a worthy replacement. The location is very visible, in the center of this sprawling Asian strip mall off Mowry, with plenty of parking. Dining options in the immediate area are also aplenty if you desire to grab a bite before embibing on your treat. For better or worse, there is also a ton of competition in this part of town, with Happy Lemon just a few doors down, Tea Top, in the other direction, Tastea across the street, and a plethora more just a few minutes down the road. My go to order at all of the TP locations has always been Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea, no sugar, no ice, with House Made Taro Paste. Unlike other shops where the "taro" is some artificial purple drank that makes you feel like you're sip, sip, sippin' on some sizzurp, the taro here is freshly made, and is one of my favorites offerings from any boba shop. Bobaristas here are quite friendly and helpful, providing great service with a smile, As expected during soft opening, there are kinks to be ironed out. They made a tiny booboo on my order, but were extremely apologetic, and eradicated the issue rapidly with no questions asked. And how does it taste, do you ask? Just as good as I remember from all my visits to the other branches! You know I'll be a frequent return customer! My only slight hesitation for parronizing too often is the lack of seating. The waiting area is quite minimal (albeit still larger than other TP Teas), with only one row of bench seating along the left side wall, with a small two person table. Certainly don't expect to do any "work from home" assignments here!

Service was quick and got my drink within minutes. I ordered a milk tea smoothie because they were out of my regular drink order.

I Stopped by during their soft opening and had a great experience! The shop is clean and has a nice vibe with kind staff. I Tried the Fantastic Fruit Tea and it was super refreshing. Definitely excited to come back!

I stopped by to grab some drinks and noticed a couple of people lined up, so I joined the line since the self-serve tablet kiosk wasn't operating yet. Little did I know they were only open for a friends-and-family event. The owner, Sean, kindly informed me about the event and generously offered to make me some drinks anyway. I ordered the mango passion fruit smoothie and the mango smoothie. Both were refreshing and really good. The store has a bench and a couple of tables, and the space is well lit, very similar to the other branch in Milpitas. It seems like it's mostly geared toward takeout, but you can definitely enjoy your drinks there as well. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other drinks.

Good drink, good staff, good decor! Price a tiny bit higher than I liked. Franchised by Indian entrepreneur, they know tea!!

This place was a happy surprise. We were to stop for a coffee but end with delicious Mango smoothie .If you're passing through, don't skip the Smoothies or tea here. It's one of those hidden gems you should explore in Newark/Fremont. Shawn manager, was very helpful & friendly. Employe's serve you with a smile on their face. The best part kids loved their smoothies & boba drinks.Place was very tidy & clean & I hope they can keep up the standards.

Cold drinks should not be taxed. The people who worked there didn't provide any solutions and told us that the corporate setup the system. I also attached the receipt from Plesanton TP tea and they don't charge tax. Be aware when you pay!!!!

I ordered the cream coffee and it was amazing, especially with the jellies inside--it added a really nice texture and sweetness. I also tried my friend's Saigon coffee, which was definitely stronger in flavor but still really good. Service was friendly and fast, which is always appreciated in the morning. I didn't get to take a picture of my drinks this time, but next time I will. Not sure what the rush is like later in the day, but based on this visit, it's definitely a spot I'd come back to.

I selected $1 tip but it kept auto adjusting and ended up tipping 15% on the actual checkout page despite me adjusting multiple times. Not a huge deal but wouldn't make me inclined to order online on NovaTab. I got the Vietnamese White Coffee and it was pretty good. It was quite sweet but meant to drink slowly as the ice melts I assume. My husband got the Saigon Coffee and not even joking, he finished it in 2 sips. There wasn't even a chance to let the ice melt and to sip slowly as there was barely any liquid. I ordered it with light ice yet you can see it's filled with ice and there's even a gap so the drink isn't filled all the way. Overall, this spot has so much potential but not a good first experience. Given there's a lot of great local coffee shops, I won't be returning. Seems like other people have had similar experiences regarding the ice and not filled drinks so hopefully they take the feedback into consideration given their drink costs aren't cheap.

We loved how it was open late, had drink and dessert options, and had plenty of space for people to hang out. The place was brightly lit, had plenty of seating, and the vibe definitely encouraged socializing as the place had music and large groups talking. There was a variety of seating options and what I'm assuming was little coat racks for guests to bring to the side of their table to place bags or coats. There was even a little bookcase with different board games, both family-friendly and not, ready for use. The bathroom was tucked away and had air freshener as well (no explanation needed). After ordering, workers will bring your food and drinks to your table with a table marker. Everything was beautifully presented. We ordered hot chocolate which wasn't on the menu, but it was very hot and delicious, and worth it for $5 for a large. Staff was friendly and quick, especially when they noticed we hadn't received our drinks with our desserts, and in giving us to-go containers. The cheesecake was soooo good! They even had a little menu board displaying staff favorites. I got a slice of the oreo cheesecake and a slice of the biscoff cheesecake, which I ate about half of each before taking home. In my opinion it was definitely worth the price, which was about $10 or so each. Flavorful, well presented, and filling! Would love to come back if I'm in the area! Do be careful, as parking could get a bit tight here if busy!

The workers (I didn't catch their names but it was a young woman and man) were so incredibly sweet with customizations and explaining different drinks since they have an extensive menu. Their drinks run a bit sweet even though I usually get 100% sweet at all the other boba shops so if you're similar, I recommend at least reducing to 80%. They're currently running a BOGO 50% M-W for the first 50 customers. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but it's definitely a great deal and I'll try to visit as often as I can. There are a few more boba shops opening on this strip, but Tea Top is a great location that you should try if you haven't.

Final Thoughts: 2.00/5.00…read more After dinner, my friend and I went to get boba at the shop a few doors down. Perhaps we should have chosen somewhere else. My friend said that his coworkers will go here sometimes and they seem to like it. To each their own. I have personally had better, but I'll try anything once. Overall, will be a 2 star for me today. Drinks: Matcha Latte: 1.5/5 Very interesting how this place has fairly high marks and reviews. Maybe because their other drinks are better? I chose this drink today because I've very much gotten into matcha. This drink was not for me though. First look gave me that sense too. Lovely layering, but it was when it was mixed did I really see it. My one note is the amount of milk that is added to this drink. When it comes to matcha drinks, I find that less is more with the base. This drink just had so much milk and ice at the bottom and it completely dilutes the matcha. Had this matcha been in a little less milk, it may have been better. This also dulls out the color of it and makes the drink itself unappealing when it's mixed. This drink is super grainy at the bottom and I tried to mix it more, but that really didn't help. Sweetness was alright. Again, flavor of it was just the milk, so I can't say too much of the matcha since it drowned out. Grapefruit Green Tea with Crushed Ice: 3.0/5 This was my friend's drink and I tried it for my review purposes. This was the better option of the two. The grapefruit and tea drink itself was very refreshing. Sweetness was good. Something about the crushed ice made it better. I honestly don't think this drink would be the same with the regular cubed large ice. The crushed ice was also mixed in with the grapefruit pulp at the top too. I like that addition of the grapefruit because of it's natural flavor and that texture from it. Grapefruit can be slightly bitter, but I actually like it that subtle bitterness with the sweetness and tartness in it. The green tea is a good option to have with think drink because it's very light and doesn't overpower the remainder of the drink. Sweetness was good for me. Definitely more of a passing drink than the drink option that I chose today. Menu: Good enough variety Again, looks to be your standard boba shop menu. There are a fair amount of items on their menu for you to choose from though. Perhaps their fruit teas would have been the better option for me here. I thought my friend's drink was really refreshing and appropriate for the weather at the time. --------- Quality: So-so The matcha really doesn't look like my ceremonial grade matcha powder. Slightly oxidized and dulled out green color. This might be because it looked completely diluted, but maybe not. What gets me was how grainy it was too. Now, looking at my friend's drink, I liked the grapefruit pulp and the use of the natural fruit inside the drink. So, will depend on what you get and your preferences. Price: Average Truly your average Bay Area prices for these drinks and what they are. The price will range from $5 to $8, so really within that standard boba drink price here. Service: Friendly They greeted us when we walked into the shop and they were also really quick to make the drink. I noticed the person making the drink come to the front too to see what we would order and he started making it right after we paid for the drinks. Loving the quick service. There wasn't many groups ahead of us, so he was able to do this. I'm sure they try their best to keep up and make it quickly to order though, which I appreciate. Ambiance: Standard boba shop The interior is giving your very standard boba shop and smell. There are a few tables on the side and the counter on the other side. I think this would be a nice studying stop or charting spot because it seems very peaceful. Location/Parking: Long Plaza; Optimal Parking Spaces This area is on Cedar Blvd. The plaza itself is quite long and made up of sections of buildings. All of it seems to be connected though, so there are parking spaces. Doesn't seem like it was super super saturated of an area during the time, so my friend and I were able to park close by. I really don't see parking being too much of an issue though.
