This has quickly become my go to spot for teas. I can taste the quality in the tea and the price isn't too bad. There are boba tea spots that are charging $8 and up for their drinks! I've tried a variety of take drinks but my top faves are always four seasons osmanthus tea or milk tea, honey jasmine is always good, I also like TGY milk tea with coffee jelly and pudding. I don't like it too sweet so I keep it 30% or less sweet. I like how they don't over sweeten their drinks so that's a plus. read more

This place recently opened up and highly recommended trying it out. It is a small place only a few seats inside and outside to hang out. There is a bathroom but sign says employees only. Ordering system is pretty straight forward. The fruit tea options are good. I'd like them to bring back the pineapple tea. At the moment they turned it into a slushy which are meh. The slushies have chunks of ice in them which is a turn off. The mixed fruit tea and lychee fruit tea are good. The grapefruit tea definitely needs sugar added. All their teas are not sweet and probably why the lowest sweetness they have is 30 percent. Prices are reasonable. A new favorite in the area. read more

A new TP Tea location here in Newark. It takes the place of where Q Tea Monster used to be. The parking is decent and you can find spots. The interior is small AND unfortunately no public restroom. One long bench seat with a couple of small tables. Kudos to the owner/store manager who had the foresight to have plenty of workers (8+) working at their Grand Opening (last day was Sunday). TP Tea has recently opened at a Lion's Market Shopping Center. It's a very small area with seatings at the left and kiosks at the right. I really like how boba is affordable here especially when the drinks are tall. I didn't want to consume boba pearls since I heard that they have a lot of calories if it's served as a bunch of them. I'm glad that there's a TP Tea that opened close to us now. We don't have to drive to SJ for TP Tea. Lol... I stopped by here yesterday to grab a drink. I got my favorite which is the Strawberry Milk Tea w/ lychee jelly. I ordered at the counter with a staff member. They do have the kiosks, but they were turned to the wall so maybe it's not working currently? There was a little wait even though I was the only customer there. The guy apologized for the wait. The drink was very good! I can really taste the lovely strawberry and tea flavor. I will definitely return again. :) The place is really small compared to the TP Tea location in SJ or Sunnyvale. But it's about the same size as Pleasanton's. They do have a couple seating areas inside and outside the store. read more

This is a new TP tea in the Newark area . I love their Tia Guan Fresh milk tea . I am glad that it opens a new branch in Newark . Before the closest ones are in Milpitas and Pleasanton . I like the tea and boba they made . They use good quality tea leaves and fresh ingredients. Inside there is a comfortable sofa for 4-5 people including a table for handicapped people. This is very considerate for elderly and the families who come visit . Outside there are round tables and chairs for people to hang around. Most of the orders are to go orders . The only complaint was that I lined up for a while to get to my order . When the two ladies in front of me picked up their orders , mine ( one drink ) was not ready for another 10 minutes. It was a very long wait compared to other TP tea . Since they are beans new , I hope that the can improve their work flow . read more

TP Tea is one of my absolute favorites for milk tea, so I was extremely happy that they opened one in Newark. Their tie guan yin milk tea is the real deal. It's a very robust and deep tea flavor mixed with a creamy milk that makes for the perfect and strong milk tea. I'm not sure if they are still in their soft opening phase, but it definitely seems like their ops could be improved. We were their first customers at 12:03 PM but they were clearly not ready yet, as they still had their door barricade blocking the entrance. After we ordered 2 x tie guan yin milk teas and waited several minutes, one of the employees let me know that they finished making 1 of the drinks but ran out of the tie guan yin for the other. She offered their tie guan yin fresh milk and said it was basically the same. Odd that they ran out of one of their, if not most, popular tea blends at the start of the morning -- unsure if due to inadequate planning or what, but I sure hope this doesn't happen again! I'd also say that the fresh milk version wasn't identical too; it was far more milky, making the ratios off. Nonetheless, the one tgy milk tea was made consistent to how it usually is, so at least one of them was up to par. read more

IT'S FINALLYYY HERE: A TP TEA LOCAL TO ME! Therefore I'LL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER BOBA SPOT AGAIN! Have been eagerly anticipating this one as I compare literally every new boba place I try to TP Tea which is reflected in my reviews. It's been my favorite for a decade and nothing compares, imo. I'm always disappointed when I try something else because TP is the best, at least to me. Molly Tea who? Hey Tea who? Irrelevant compared to TP Tea, TP just does it better, etc etc etc. This location is no different. It's a little small inside with minimal seating, I'd say similar to the San Mateo location. I've been to all of them btw. Anyway probably not great to hang around and socialize at this location unless you're up for sitting outside or meandering around the plaza. There's plenty of parking so no worries there. Customer service here was top notch. All of the employees are super sweet and girl who was cashier was great at giving recommendations. I've tried nearly the entire menu so I didn't ask for any but I heard her give recs to the people in line behind me and her descriptions were on point. You literally cannot go wrong as far as what to order; TP Tea does not make a single bad drink. My go-to is the Strawberry Milk Tea but I love all of the drinks and get different things depending on my mood. They're all good. For real. Anyway my drinks came out promptly and they were perfect. Always made consistently and perfectly across all locations. Boba quality always exactly the same and made perfectly. I'm obsessed; this is genuinely my favorite boba spot ever and it has never been topped no matter how many new places keep popping up. Love TP Tea but will say my experience here was alright. I was super happy to see they opened up a location in Newark. It's in a big plaza was decent parking spots. The shop has a few seating areas and the service was good. The worker was kind and friendly. I ordered a TieGuanYin Milk Tea which is my favorite but it tasted watered down. Despite the milk, it wasn't as creamy as other locations and times I've gotten it. It tastes more like light tea that was watered down. The drink was okay and not what I was anticipating as the drink is my #1 fav. Since they're still in their soft opening phase, I will definitely be back again. Hopefully next time will be better as they stay open longer. read more

Soft opening week! I am so happy there is a TP Tea much closer to me now, so I no longer have to go all the way to San Mateo or Pleasanton.  The name always has the 8 year old in my giggling , but TP has slowly, but surely started to gain a foothold in the crowded Bay Area boba landscape with calculated expansion. It's certainly been a long time coming for this Newark location, as I had been monitoring the progress of the construction over the months, but the day has finally arrived. This spot used to be local staple, QT Monster, which had been operating for many years, so I'm glad to see a worthy replacement. The location is very visible, in the center of this sprawling Asian strip mall off Mowry, with plenty of parking. Dining options in the immediate area are also aplenty if you desire to grab a bite before embibing on your treat. For better or worse, there is also a ton of competition in this part of town, with Happy Lemon just a few doors down, Tea Top, in the other direction, Tastea across the street, and a plethora more just a few minutes down the road. My go to order at all of the TP locations has always been Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea, no sugar, no ice, with House Made Taro Paste. Unlike other shops where the "taro" is some artificial purple drank that makes you feel like you're sip, sip, sippin' on some sizzurp, the taro here is freshly made, and is one of my favorites offerings from any boba shop. Bobaristas here are quite friendly and helpful, providing great service with a smile, As expected during soft opening, there are kinks to be ironed out. They made a tiny booboo on my order, but were extremely apologetic, and eradicated the issue rapidly with no questions asked. And how does it taste, do you ask? Just as good as I remember from all my visits to the other branches! You know I'll be a frequent return customer! My only slight hesitation for parronizing too often is the lack of seating. The waiting area is quite minimal (albeit still larger than other TP Teas), with only one row of bench seating along the left side wall, with a small two person table. Came for day one of the grand opening and was the 100th order. If you were order 1-50, you got a free TP TEA tumbler. When we arrived the line was almost at Happy Lemon so I waited about an hour to order and get my drink. For the BOGO, I ordered the Family Milk Tea, Passion Fruit Green Tea, Thai Tea, and Honey Jasmine Green Tea. I liked the Family Milk Tea because it included coffee jelly, boba, and egg pudding. The Passion Fruit tea was also good and the Thai tea was standard. The Honey Jasmine tea tasted like something you would get warm when you're sick so I wouldn't get it again. Thankfully, the wait didnt feel too long and they were prepared for the crowds because it was fairly quick to get my drink. read more

It had pudding, coffee jelly, and boba. My sister texted me so I gave her some options, which she picked jasmine milk tea that had the best flavor she said. And a honey green tea jasmine for mom. Lately, I've been craving anything that contains black sesame in it. When I realized that this place has a sesame milk tea drink, I immediately sent my husband here to get me a drink. We ordered sesame iron goddess pearl milk tea and pearl milk tea (both half sugar & less ice). Half sugar was perfect for me but if you prefer a little bit of sweetness, you'll have to increase the sugar level. Ordered on 8/15, drank my Jasmine Green Milk Tea and placed the Yuzu Emerald Fruit Tea in the fridge overnight. Drank 1/3 of it the next day and noticed there was a whole ass strand of hair drifting in it, absolutely disgusted and had to toss it out. Not 1 star only because the Jasmine Green Milk tea was good and had no issues with it. The Yuzu was really good too until I found out that hair had been marinating in it overnight. Grand opening-buy one get one! Line out the door, but efficiency + patience and you will soon have 2 drinks in hand. I've had very mixed results with getting my order done the same consistently between the soft opening and now. When they get it right, it's really great, so I keep trying. I like to get taro in mine,and I always ask for it to be hand mixed after the smoothie is blended. The amount of taro I got in the beginning was a LOT hand-mixed (not in the blender) throughout the drink cup, which I loved. But then it became less and less taro (depends who makes it) so I sometimes pay for another extra pump of taro. Today I paid for 2 pumps of taro, and my drink barely had half of what 1 pump used to have, and it was not mixed throughout as it should be. Everyone has their specific preferences so drinks here are likely great overall. I just wish my order could be consistent, especially when specifically paying for more taro. read more

so happy TP Tea opened up in the East Bay, closer to my home! Love the quality drinks and boba here. I came here the first couple weeks of opening and believe they're still working out their kinks. I came here and the worker taking the order didn't really provide the best customer service. However, my drinks turned out decent. Got the fantastic fruit tea which was OK, think I'd get something else next time. I also got one of their tea drinks with cheese foam on top, with boba. Overall the drinks were OK, think the location we went to in peninsula tasted of better quality. Again, could be due to this space is new and still working out their kinks. Little did I know they were only open for a friends-and-family event. The owner, Sean, kindly informed me about the event and generously offered to make me some drinks anyway. I ordered the mango passion fruit smoothie and the mango smoothie. Both were refreshing and really good. The store has a bench and a couple of tables, and the space is well lit, very similar to the other branch in Milpitas. It seems like it's mostly geared toward takeout, but you can definitely enjoy your drinks there as well. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other drinks. read more

Strawberry milk tea is awesome. We caught by a glance that they used Costco frozen strawberries but the quality is exactly the same as their other locations. TP tea being originally from Taiwan you would expect the staff to be Taiwanese they're not. But it actually didn't make it taste less authentic, I suppose they follow the recipe well enough since it's a chain after all. read more
