This spot is a must try! Bay Area's halal food scene was lacking a specialty dessert spot with quality food and homely atmosphere. Drip dessert not only fills that gap, but goes well above and beyond! There were endless amounts of different dessert combinations, given that there was a huge variety of options, which could all be customized to one's preferences. We had got to try two of their desserts (waffle on a stick with chocolate sauce and oreos and chocolate chips + belgian waffle with white chocolate sauce and biscoff sauce with oreo crumbles) and one drink (mango noor). All of the food tasted amazing and was a very unique experience overall! Additionally, all the employees and the owner were very hospitable, they truly treated us as guests, not customers. The environment of the store was very upbringing, and they also have board games to make the experience more fun. Both my daughters are begging to go back! I can't wait, too! read more

Because ice cream as a base was going to be in a 16oz (some large amount - my memory might be foggy here) cup and it was only to satisfy my ice cream loving 3 year old, we decided on ice cream as a topping. I have been coming to Drip since they first opened and it has honestly been one of my favorite spots ever The staff are always so kind and welcoming, and the food is always amazing. They also have games like Uno, cards, and Connect Four which makes it such a fun place to hang out with family and friends I love bringing both my family and my friends here because the atmosphere is always so nice. I feel a bit bad writing this review, but I want to be honest. We stopped in late on a Friday night craving something sweet for my husband's birthday and were greeted right away. Since we couldn't decide what to order, we asked a few questions. The employee seemed to notice my husband's Ray-Ban Meta glasses and started making recommendations, eventually suggesting the $19.99 sample box. Because we were unsure, we decided to go with it. The dessert came out quickly--actually before some other orders--which made me wonder if he thought my husband was recording the experience. The waffle was fluffy and soft with a nice coating of sauces and toppings but overall became too sweet for my liking. I would have preferred it to be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Finally found the time to grab some dessert at drip. One thing I appreciate about this place is that it is open late. It was definitely overwhelming when we first went in and just seeing the menu and all the choices you can put on your dessert lol. It's not a bad thing. We ended up ordering a build your own and chose the waffle. One of the main things I can say about their dessert is that their fruits are very fresh. From the banana then to the strawberries it was all fresh. The banana actually tasted really good and I am not a banana fan. You can pretty much add any toppings you want and the only ones they charge for is the ice cream, seasonal fruit and other chocolates but majority of their toppings is free. The folks in the front had great customer service and made sure they inform you of their menu and what they have to offer and what options you have. The artwork they had on their wall was actually pretty cool. I do wish they had more tables but other than that it's pretty cozy and they have a lot of board games. Great place to try out. Came here late on a weekday with the kids! I love this dessert spot. The woman on the counter was absolutely fabulous. She explained how everything worked, gave us some great suggestions, then personally came out to serve to the table! First time going here a few days ago on the weekend. They have pretty cool interior design, super friendly customer service, and the food is served relatively quickly. The plaza that it is in felt a bit shady to be honest. There's a sports bar next to it and there was some other folks lingering around, but that may just be a normal Friday night around there. As for the food, I ordered a waffle with Oreo, strawberry, vanilla ice cream, and Nutella. It ended up being around $18, which after seeing and eating it felt a bit much. I think the price point for what I had really should be closer to $10-12. The waffle was warm, but it was a bit overcooked and crunchy on the edges. Overall, it was decent in that the Nutella and the Oreos hit the spot, but considering the other things I added and the price point, I'm not sure I would go for it again. I do think they should consider adding a Pizookie like item that BJs has. They do have a warm brownie like option but adding a warm chocolate chip pan sized cookie with really good ice cream on top would probably be a best seller. I'd be willing to try again to update my review, but as of now it's a 3/5 for me. read more

We have been meaning to come here since it opened and glad we finally made it. There aren't too many dessert spots in Newark and there definitely aren't any doing what Drip Dessert House is doing. They're taking things as basic as a waffle or mini pancakes and turning them into decadent desserts. It's great to see something like this pop up in Newark and I hope it lasts a long time. I asked them if they have Dubai chocolate ones which is almost a look alike of the waffle which is Pistachio Party, which is good, waffle was freshly made and I got rose chai I believe, I was looking forward tasting the chai part but it's not there. Drip Dessert House is an amazing new dessert shop in Newark which nails all three of food, service, and ambiance. And, they are constantly improving and responding to feedback. The main premise is quite compelling. You pay a fixed price to choose a base (mini pancakes, deep disk cookie, etc.) and then get unlimited toppings & sauces (aka the "drip"). You're only limited by your imagination & sweet tooth here, though if you're indecisive then you can't go wrong with the recommended combos. Note that some toppings cost extra (like the fruit) but can be very worthwhile. I've loved the desserts I've tried so far and can't wait to experiment further. Additionally, they offer an expanding selection of drinks, in case you prefer something sippable. I haven't tried them yet but they sound delicious. The vibes are great, and though I've only been in the afternoon, I can see Drip Dessert House becoming a popular night hangout. Finally, from both their social media presence and in-person interactions, I can tell all the staff love working there. It's evident in the customer service and the care in the final product. My daughter's a dessert enthusiast with a knack for finding all the hidden gems in and around Fremont. Today she outdid herself. The allure from the parking lot was enough to have me convinced we struck gold. Once inside, the chic decor, table top games, custom neon signage, even Mocha's (owner) clean-cut swag assured me, my little one's intuition was 10/10. And THEN I got a load of the menu....
