Pavlova
Jon Y.

What a delightful little Fremont gem. Admittedly, I haven't sampled any of the savory crepes or soups yet, but they all look super appetizing for sure. I sampled three dessert choices and could tell right away there's a lot of attention to detail and a great passion for their craft here. You can tell in the complex flavors with each subsequent bite you take, the quality of the ingredients and the great presentations. The famous honey cake here is delicious. Great texture, beautiful layers, a light and not overly sweet honey undertone that finishes with a clean, lemony flavor that I wasn't expecting. The pavlova was an interesting one. A crunchy meringue base with a cream on top. This one was a bit sweeter, but a nice mix of textures. Then there's the napoleon classic. Beautifully presented, uniform filling and dough layers. That delicious custard worked perfectly with the crunchy topping. Each bite tasted like a wonderful custard-filled cream puff exploded on your palate. Thank you Lucy. I'll be back for more sweets (like those meteorites) and to try some savory options.

Garlic Chicken Pesto Crepe (4/5): The crepe was not too thick and had a nice touch or crispiness. The crepe had a good amount of filling and the flavours were comforting. I grew up eating a lot of crepes and i think they do them pretty well here. I wish there was more cheese, but the flavours all meshed well together. Garden Crepe (3/5): This crepe was good but i think the amount of olives overpowered the crepe. I tasted more of a salad than the crepe itself - but that might be the intent. If youre looking for something that tastes like a salad, this is for you. Honey Nut Cake (3.5/5) - thought it was really sweet at first but eventually grew on me. Napoleon Cake (4.5/5) would honestly go back just for this. Its not too sweet and its a nice balance of creamy and flavor.

Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Ambience: 4/5 Lucy's crepes tempted me with their amazing looking tiramisu crepes. Their taste exceeds expectations. Very mildly sweet and creamy. Service was friendly. Only downside is that the place is kind of small and can feel cramped. But the amazing food do make me want to go there again.

Food was looking good Prices are little expensive Coffee is decent would not recommend I got dessert - good Service 5 Nice location Cosy inside

This place is a true hidden gem for Slavic food. The borscht, crepes, sea buckthorn tea, and sochnik were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the place felt nice and well-kept. We'll definitely be back!

Tried this place for the first time since I was craving savory crepes. I ordered one that had cheese, chicken and mushrooms. I requested no cheese, but was told it wasn't possible. So I tried it anyway. It came out looking like 3 enchilada shaped crepes, not what I was anticipating. It came with sour creme on the side. However, the flavors and texture was good. If I go back, I would order another type of crepe since it was too cheesy for me. I also ordered a cappuccino with almond milk and it's was delicious. The cafe is tucked in a corner in a shopping center. It's very small but welcoming inside. I would give it a try again.

Banana Nutella, Avocado Mozzarella Crepe

We tried Lucy's crepes for the first time and everything was great! It's a small shop tucked in the corner behind the complex but it was a nice intimate vibe. There are lots of options for sweet, savory, vegetarian, and also small desserts. We decided on the avocado mozzarella crepe and the banana Nutella for a mix of sweet and savory. They came out pretty quickly! It's also self-service so you just get your own utensils. The crepes were so yummy and also very filling and we still had leftovers. Definitely recommend!

Yummy! Amazing service and hospitality, felt myself like home. Must visit place in Fremont!

Harvest Medley Crepe

5/5. Crepes are amongst my favorite food because they're simple, fresh, and made from quality ingredients. And this was probably the best I've had. I love a good chicken crepe and I was very confused whether I wanted to go with the garlic chicken (pesto) crepe or the chipotle chicken crepe. On one hand, I love a traditional pesto sauce/garlic based chicken crepe which is supposedly the most popular here. On the other hand, I also like a bit of spice and chipotle sauce. The owner resolved my confusion and asked me to go for the garlic chicken one. And I did. And it was incredible. I finished it in no time. Super fresh, lots of cheese, lots of chicken, just the right amount of garlic and pesto sauce. I could easily eat this on repeat. They also have so many vegan/vegetarian options to choose from and that's amazing. My friend is a vegan, and she went for the harvest medley customized with vegan cheese instead of dairy based cheese. She loved it. I tasted a bit of it and thought it was great as well. She couldn't finish her dish though. I came in with a plan of NOT eating desserts (as in sweet crepes!) but I got tempted with the other ones they had on display. Especially the honey cake. When I went to order, the honey cakes on display were gone since the people at the other table just bought them. And there was no more, they had to make more. So I instead went for the Napoleon and it was quite good. Very flaky with the puff pastry of course and just the right amount of sweet definitely, not over the top. It was not vegan so I had to eat the whole dessert and I managed to. The best crepes in the Bay Area and I'll be back here in no time even though I have to come all the way from Mountain View. I had been to this complex before to the Indian restaurant nearby, and they're fairly new I believe because they weren't there when I came the last time a few months ago. Plenty of parking in the complex. Cute space with a simple ambiance inside. Owned by a really welcoming couple.

Stopped by for breakfast. It's a cute restaurant in a complex with plenty of parking. Tried the sunset fresh juice, smoothie, strawberries and cream crepe and chipotle chicken crepe. Everything tasted great! The service was quick and easy.

We stumbled across this spot since we were craving crepes and sweets. I had the napoleon slice and it was divine!! My cousins ordered the savory crepes and they are very generous with their portions here. I loved that they make their food with organic ingredients and offer vegan as well as non-dairy options. There's wifi here so this could be a great spot to have brunch and a morning drink while getting some work done. The owner was absolutely so sweet and welcoming. We could really tell that the food was made with so much care and love. I'd recommend this spot and will definitely come back when I'm in NorCal. If you're craving crepes, come here!!!

First time here and I was wowed by the garlic chicken pesto crepe and the cherry cottage blini. Super delicious and thoughtful flavors.

I've tried the other crepe places in Fremont. This one is my favorite now. The garlic chicken pesto crepe and the cherry cottage blini was super delicious. Would come here again! The atmosphere is nice, the service quick, and you order at the counter. Feels very mom and pop. Will come here again! Also I believe they're Ukrainian owned. Support small local businesses!

Pacific Ocean and Borsch (a bowl)
Sistine M.

There's definitely a homey feel at Lucy's Crepes. The food portions were generous and filling. I liked the taste and texture of the crepe itself, too. The salted salmon wasn't as salty as I was expecting, which I liked. The strawberry Nutella crepe was as expected and they did not skimp on the filling here either. The berry punch and mint lemonade were both good, and the strawberry smoothie tasted healthier than most. I've never tried borsch before, but since I'd heard about it in the past, I gave it a try. The flavor was light, but it wasn't bland. I thought it was served with condiments and bread. I realized later, on the menu it says cream and green onion are optional. They didn't ask me about it, though. I'll be back to try some other items like the tea and sweets.

Borsch (a bowl)...took me back to St. Petersburg! My child who eats nothing LOVED it!

Passed by Skillet'z in Niles and randomly stopped in for brunch--so glad I did!…read moreEverything we ordered was actually really good and hit the spot. The Bravo omelet was super soft and fluffy, loaded with mushrooms, tomatoes, avocado, and bacon--really fresh and not heavy at all. The New York steak sandwich was super satisfying, with big chunky pieces of steak and avocado that made it extra good. And the coulotte steak was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and just really well done overall. Definitely a great little brunch spot if you're in the area.

We were looking for a family friendly brunch experience before hitting up the Niles Farmer's Market…read moreand found Skillet'z Cafe just around the corner. Luckily there was no line at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday. Rating Breakdown: 1/2 Stars for Taste -- The menu is HUGE and it was difficult to pick just one thing to order. I ended up choosing the Tio Pancho because I can never resist biscuits and gravy. The scramble itself was good, I'm a big fan of their chorizo as it's not overpoweringly sour/tangy like some other places. It was also mild enough that my kids were able to try a little. I opted for the hash browns which added a nice crispiness into the mix. I would actually skip the biscuits and gravy next time -- the biscuits are on the cake-y side and the gravy is a bit bland. My husband ordered the Mexican chicken fried steak. The steak itself was also bland, but it was fine paired with the chorizo and sauce on top. Their hashbrowns are crispy on the outside but made thick with a more mushy inside, not our favorite. My husband's sunny side eggs were also a bit underdone, the egg whites were still runny. We were both fans of the salsa that came on the side. For the kiddos, we got one pancake. We're glad we only got one because it was literally the same size as the dinner plate it came on. It was super fluffy and thiccccc, just how I love it. It was also not too sweet by itself so I felt less bad about giving it to the kiddos. I would say the dishes are served "rustic", it's not the most instagrammable if that matters to you, but it is a mountain of food and a veritable feast. 1/1 Stars for Value -- It's about $20 per entree and the serving sizes are humongous. Definitely enough to share or take home as leftovers. Coffee was $4 but it was actually good coffee, not the watery stuff diners sometimes serve. It only cost $3.95 to upgrade the side of toast to a pancake, which is a steal...I mean, why wouldn't you do it? 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- The food came out unbelievably quickly. We literally said "That can't be it" when we saw them bringing it over. This place is optimized for efficiency -- everything from seating, serving, coffee refills, to bringing the bill was streamlined yet not rushed. Bonus star because we would come back when we are craving brunch. We would come early to avoid the lines.

The restaurant itself is in a nice plaza with plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean and looks like they had bar seating as well. On their special menu they had their strawberry matcha which I'm already a fan of, but this strawberry matcha is my favorite in all the area so far. The avocado toast was also very good, the red onion on top paired well with the avocado and cherry tomato, the fact it came with 2 eggs as well also justifies it as a meal in itself. I also ordered the half order or at this restaurant "fun" size I think Is what it said on the menu, of the tres leches French toast. It's also my favorite French toast because it's not overly sweet like some other tres leches' that I've had, the strawberries tasted very fresh too.
