Our go-to place for some cold desserts whenever its a hot day. The staff here is friendly, and the place is clean. I do have to warn you that it gets super busy here whenever the temps outside is high, so the wait can be a bit long for your order. Other than that, on a normal day, its pretty calm here and there are a bit of tables here to sit and eat. My one complaint here is that whenever its hot outside they do leave the doors open so its still warm inside the place. The only bit of relief is being in the far back of the store where it is a bit cooler.

    Perfect balance of sweetness!

They used to be very good! We would go there to hang out and grab some boba and snow. Mango has always been a solid flavor!! However, in my recent visits I've noticed portion sizes between the regular and large snow bowls are starting to look more and more alike. It's more worth to just get the REGULAR SIZED BOWL and NOT PAY for the LARGE. When I was showing them the difference between a large and medium mango bowl, it was marginally "bigger" but I'm paying $3 more? It's not worth $3. If I am paying $3 more, I would hope for a larger difference in their sizes. That's just my opinion!

Great boba place! I have been wanting to try this place for some time and finally stopped recently on a date night. Both our drinks were tasty and exactly what we wanted. Quick service and recommend ordering ahead if you can. I will come back and try their shaved ice as that was a popular item while we were there.

I didn't know about the name change from MandRo! They still serve MandRo tea though, so I was excited to see their OG menu. There is also a Snow Bowl in San Ramon, and I just made the connection on why their bingsoo tastes the same LOL. My first visit to MandRo was at the Davis location during my college days, so the drinks and bingsoo are so nostalgic for me. I can't believe the taste has been consistent all these years! I always alternated between the Okinawa Pudding Milk Tea ($5.25) and Hokkaido Milk Tea ($5.50), but I was in the mood for something stronger/less sweet. Hong Kong Coffee Milk Tea ($6): I aimed for the strongest drink lol. I ordered it 30% sweet, 30% ice with mini boba and it satisfied the craving. Mango Bingsoo Regular ($12.95): I always, always default to this flavor. I never know when mango season is, but their mangos have never failed to taste so ripe. How?! Perfect portion for 2-3 people. Expect to wait about 30 minutes for it! Tables can be scarce as it's a popular night snack destination, but I've never had to wait long and the staff can pull up extra stools for you.

Probably one of the ONLY bingsu spots near Fremont. The bingsu is VERY good and i dont know if it is just because there are no other spots, but it is always crowded here! This can make the wait for the bingsu to come out over 30 minutes. I usually dont mind, but i have seen other customers get very frustrated with the long wait time. Friendly reminder to NOT yell at the workers - they are trying their best. Other than that - great spot! Overall the bingsu is very tasty and flavorful! Just be prepared to wait a bit!

Inside of store, Wait time sign

Drove up from San Jose as the Milpitas location (formerly Mandro Teahouse) closed down awhile back. Bingsu is good but the wait was insanely long on Sunday evening at 8:30pm. They even started to post signs about the wait time which shows that this happens pretty often. When we arrived, nobody was in line before us, but the sign said 30 mins. We waited 1 hour which was not really worth it to us. I won't be coming back. Side note: there were only three workers working nonstop to keep up with the rush :(

Mango Bingsoo (R) with extra condensed milk

Hubby and I stopped by after dinner today (Wednesday) around 8pm. Most tables were filled except just 2-3 smaller ones. We ordered a regular-sized mango snow and extra condensed milk. The portion was actually pretty big and could easily have been shared between 3 people! The bingsoo was very soft and milky, and mango slices were surprisingly good. It already came with enough condensed milk so we didn't use any of the extra second one. This is a great place for dessert and I would def come back to try other flavors. The only downside was that we felt it took a long time to get our order :(

You can either order through a kiosk or with the staff. After ordering, find a table and listen for your number to be called. At the end, you'll return your tray at the return tray shelf. I got the regular size injeolmi bingsoo and it was more than enough to share between 2 people. The bingsoo was fluffy and milky. The red bean and mochi mixed so well with the bingsoo!

We came at 7pm and no one was here. I was a bit hesitant to go inside at first. We only ordered mango bingsoo large size to share since there is just 2 of us. Mango bingsoo comes with some milk which you can pour on the ice. It was good. The wait was around 13 minutes after we ordered. The name is actually call Snow Bowl and not MandR teahouse.

    Strawberry Bingsoo and Mango Bingsoo

My folks and I came here on a whim after lunch nearby. We stopped in on a Sunday around 2 PM, and the place was completely packed. Luckily, we managed to grab a couple of tables and a spare stool for our group of six. The shop was a bit uncomfortably warm given the hot weather, which made it hard to sit and relax for long. We shared two regular-sized bingsoo--the strawberry and the mango. The strawberry was decent and balanced, though I wished it had come with more mochi pieces and fresh fruit underneath the shaved ice. The mango bingsoo, on the other hand, was much better and more enjoyable. I also ordered a jasmine milk tea (0% sugar) for my mom, but unfortunately it didn't have much of a tea flavor. It reminded me of the more generic drinks you sometimes get at smaller mom-and-pop boba shops. Overall, it was an okay experience. The bingsoo was good but I'd only return if I'm ever looking for a dessert spot within the area.

Good mango bingsoo, horrible service. Staff stands around while customers have to wait in line to use the one kiosk to place their order. As I was placing my order, the staff as calling out an order number 6 numbers in front of my order. After waiting for our bingsoo for 30 minutes, I went up to the counter to ask what's going on only to be ignored for 5 minutes before I was able to speak to someone. When I mentioned I had been waiting for over 30 minutes, the guy went to the back and immediately came out with my order so it had been sitting around? My friend noticed it looked like a smaller (deflated?) portion size than the tables next to us. The bingsoo itself was good. Pillowy soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. That being said, given the bad experience with the service, it'd take a lot for me to want to come back here. The kiosk asks for tip at the end and given the nonexistent service, I would recommend skipping the tip. You place your order on a kiosk, get the order from the counter when it's ready, and take your empty bowls back to the counter.

Mango Bingsoo & Matcha Red Bean Bingsoo
    Tay J.

Bing soo is always 10/10 here! It's pretty small inside and get very crowded and sometimes you have to wait for a table to free up. There are extra stools around in case you need extra seating. There can also be a bit of a wait once you've ordered from the kiosk. I've never tried a drink from here I always go for the mango bing soo! Even when mango is out of season theirs is always fresh, so strange but very delicious! Parking can also be tough in the area in front of the restaurant so I tend to park further away and just walk.

    Ethan W.

Cozy bingsu spot in Newark that is open relatively late and great for catching up / sharing. The place has been rebranded to "snow bowl" but is under the same management still. The bingsu is pretty nice, good fluffy texture and is actually made from milk / cream base because it's not watery. The matcha red bean bingsu wasn't overpoweringly sweet and went well with the condensed milk.

In short, not bad, but it's kind of out of the way and the drinks were much sweeter than anticipated. L O C A T I O N BingBing is located off of Fremont Blvd near American High School. It's in this small shopping area that used to have this other boba shop which I didn't see was there any longer. Parking is in a private lot shared with the other shops. I easily found a spot and walked over. I N S I D E It's pretty bright and spacious. You walk in and there's a kiosk to order as well as a mini black and white photo booth printer. Ordering was pretty easy. There are multiple tables and seats. I could imagine going to school nearby and just popping in here after school and studying. They were playing some KPOP I believe while I was there which was a vibe. M E N U It's pretty standard boba shop menu with snacks included. You can also do combos but they didn't have the drink plus tofu combo I wanted so I ordered them separately. I opted to try their black milk tea with crystal agar boba and my hubby tried their jasmine with honey boba. We both thought their drinks were about 25% sweeter than most places. I had 0% added sugar and it was quite sweet for me with my toppings. I also think their crystal agar had a floral sweetener or maybe their black tea was more floral as I was tasting some kind of floral notes. The tofu was great. It reminded me of when I used to get fried tofu at other shops when I was younger and vegetarian. My hubby said their normal boba felt a bit overcooked. S E R V I C E As I ordered food, I knew it would take a bit of time. So everything came out pretty quickly considering I was the only person in there. The server was quite nice and answered some questions I had about the place. O V E R A L L If I ever need fried tofu and boba, I will be back. I will have to try out their other drinks though as I'm still on the fence about the quality. But I will likely be back if we do our boba runs on a day where I'm in the area.

The restaurant or food truck or business is not at that location selling anything. That would have been nice to know ahead of time. My guess is a food truck is only for special events at an arranged place that are planned ahead of time. I see that this business has been "claimed" on Yelp and "Verified by business owner over 3 months ago", so it would have been best if the owner updated the company's information on Yelp to explain where exactly this business/restaurant/food truck is located or if it's for special events only. It does say "Shaved Ice, Food Truck" but I thought that meant it also had a food truck in addition to a physical location/restaurant ( 27812 Loyola Ave). I give 4 stars because detailed information is missing and should be added by the business owner.

Usually Halo Halo's main ingredient is Ube ice cream, which is why it's flipped upside down. Anyways, let's talk about what they also included, they included boba, Leche flan, and other flavorful ones, which I don't know what they're called. I may have to research it. I'm surprised that they included boba, which isn't really usual to be a part of this dessert. They all taste good though. It's like other Halo Halo I had from many Filipino restaurants. There are two locations that are near my home: Union City (which is here) and Milpitas. Even though that the one is slightly closer to my location, I came here since I wanted to try going to places in Union City. Definitely will be coming to Milpitas location the next time I go to Cafe 86.

Their calamansi jasmine tea is refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. Con- the wait can be quite long especially if you go after dinner or during the weekends. We have experienced the long waits multiple visits so if you're in a hurry or don't have extra time to wait, then maybe consider another place. Otherwise, I would say it's worth the wait!

This place is always poppin and lively when we came in. Service is also pleasant and fast everytime. Will definitely have to try other items in the menu.

I have only ever left 5-star reviews because I love supporting small businesses, but after tonight,…read morewe will no longer be supporting this spot. We have been loyal regulars here for a long time, coming at least once a week. Honestly, the main reason I kept coming back and always tipped well, even when the staff was sometimes just whatever, is because the guy who owns it is always so nice, friendly, and works incredibly hard. Unfortunately, his wife handled things tonight, and the service was absolutely horrible. We ordered a steak burrito, and let me tell you, the meat was completely inedible. It was just pure gristle in every single bite, to the point where we couldn't even chew it and only ate about a fourth of it. They also forgot to give us salsa with our chips. When we called to let them know about the meat, his wife started chopping up meat on her end, arguing with me, and insisting the food was perfectly fine and fresh. My wife, who is visibly 8 months pregnant, actually walked the burrito back into the restaurant just to show her the gristle. Because the lady said to bring it back show her. Instead of making it right or offering a simple switch for a chicken burrito like my wife had asked, she completely lacked empathy and flat-out said, "I can't remake your burrito." I called back to ask what could be done to fix this, and she started telling me to stop yelling at her. I wasn't yelling at all, my other baby was screaming in the background because my wife left the house to try and get the food fixed. She then hung up the phone on me. Apparently, she told my wife she even consulted her husband before refusing to fix it. It is so unfortunate that a business we supported weekly would treat regulars this way, but they have officially lost customers for life. The owner also said she was going to reply to me on here. Waiting for an explanation of how you turned away an 8 month pregnant lady?
