This Bingsu from Snow Bowl wasn't too sweet and came in the perfect size, but I felt like something was missing. Perhaps it was the flavoring? I needed MORE cookie butter drizzle, better layering, or just more flavor throughout. There wasn't much of a Biscoff taste aside from the crumbs Still, the crumbs were good, and I'd definitely be down to try their other flavors!
Our go-to place for some cold desserts whenever its a hot day. The staff here is friendly, and the place is clean. I do have to warn you that it gets super busy here whenever the temps outside is high, so the wait can be a bit long for your order. Other than that, on a normal day, its pretty calm here and there are a bit of tables here to sit and eat. My one complaint here is that whenever its hot outside they do leave the doors open so its still warm inside the place. The only bit of relief is being in the far back of the store where it is a bit cooler.
Was very hyped to try but tbh nothing special, I really think they could've elevated the dessert so much more by putting like a mango syrup or something on top. Also the ice didn't taste that good.

There is also a Snow Bowl in San Ramon, and I just made the connection on why their bingsoo tastes the same LOL. My first visit to MandRo was at the Davis location during my college days, so the drinks and bingsoo are so nostalgic for me. I can't believe the taste has been consistent all these years! I always alternated between the Okinawa Pudding Milk Tea ($5.25) and Hokkaido Milk Tea ($5.50), but I was in the mood for something stronger/less sweet. Hong Kong Coffee Milk Tea ($6): I aimed for the strongest drink lol. I ordered it 30% sweet, 30% ice with mini boba and it satisfied the craving. Mango Bingsoo Regular ($12.95): I always, always default to this flavor. I never know when mango season is, but their mangos have never failed to taste so ripe. How?! Perfect portion for 2-3 people. Expect to wait about 30 minutes for it! Tables can be scarce as it's a popular night snack destination, but I've never had to wait long and the staff can pull up extra stools for you.

However, in my recent visits I've noticed portion sizes between the regular and large snow bowls are starting to look more and more alike. It's more worth to just get the REGULAR SIZED BOWL and NOT PAY for the LARGE. When I was showing them the difference between a large and medium mango bowl, it was marginally "bigger" but I'm paying $3 more? It's not worth $3. If I am paying $3 more, I would hope for a larger difference in their sizes. That's just my opinion!
Probably one of the ONLY bingsu spots near Fremont. The bingsu is VERY good and i dont know if it is just because there are no other spots, but it is always crowded here! This can make the wait for the bingsu to come out over 30 minutes. I usually dont mind, but i have seen other customers get very frustrated with the long wait time. Friendly reminder to NOT yell at the workers - they are trying their best. Other than that - great spot! Overall the bingsu is very tasty and flavorful! Just be prepared to wait a bit!

Quick service and recommend ordering ahead if you can. I will come back and try their shaved ice as that was a popular item while we were there.
Hubby and I stopped by after dinner today (Wednesday) around 8pm. Most tables were filled except just 2-3 smaller ones. We ordered a regular-sized mango snow and extra condensed milk. The portion was actually pretty big and could easily have been shared between 3 people! The bingsoo was very soft and milky, and mango slices were surprisingly good. It already came with enough condensed milk so we didn't use any of the extra second one. This is a great place for dessert and I would def come back to try other flavors. The only downside was that we felt it took a long time to get our order :(
You can either order through a kiosk or with the staff. After ordering, find a table and listen for your number to be called. At the end, you'll return your tray at the return tray shelf. I got the regular size injeolmi bingsoo and it was more than enough to share between 2 people. The bingsoo was fluffy and milky. The red bean and mochi mixed so well with the bingsoo!

Luckily, we managed to grab a couple of tables and a spare stool for our group of six. The shop was a bit uncomfortably warm given the hot weather, which made it hard to sit and relax for long. We shared two regular-sized bingsoo--the strawberry and the mango. The strawberry was decent and balanced, though I wished it had come with more mochi pieces and fresh fruit underneath the shaved ice. The mango bingsoo, on the other hand, was much better and more enjoyable. I also ordered a jasmine milk tea (0% sugar) for my mom, but unfortunately it didn't have much of a tea flavor. It reminded me of the more generic drinks you sometimes get at smaller mom-and-pop boba shops. Overall, it was an okay experience. The bingsoo was good but I'd only return if I'm ever looking for a dessert spot within the area.

As I was placing my order, the staff as calling out an order number 6 numbers in front of my order. After waiting for our bingsoo for 30 minutes, I went up to the counter to ask what's going on only to be ignored for 5 minutes before I was able to speak to someone. When I mentioned I had been waiting for over 30 minutes, the guy went to the back and immediately came out with my order so it had been sitting around? My friend noticed it looked like a smaller (deflated?) portion size than the tables next to us. The bingsoo itself was good. Pillowy soft, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. That being said, given the bad experience with the service, it'd take a lot for me to want to come back here. The kiosk asks for tip at the end and given the nonexistent service, I would recommend skipping the tip. You place your order on a kiosk, get the order from the counter when it's ready, and take your empty bowls back to the counter.
Drove up from San Jose as the Milpitas location (formerly Mandro Teahouse) closed down awhile back. Bingsu is good but the wait was insanely long on Sunday evening at 8:30pm. They even started to post signs about the wait time which shows that this happens pretty often. When we arrived, nobody was in line before us, but the sign said 30 mins. We waited 1 hour which was not really worth it to us. I won't be coming back. Side note: there were only three workers working nonstop to keep up with the rush :(

This place is magnificent. This is so delicious it's my first time trying and it was so good that I shed a tear I had to make a whole review because it deserves it. I'm eating this as I type this with tears in my eyes for this beautiful creation. read more

Formerly MandRo! Now Snow Bowl. Not sure when the change happened. Somehow two years later we got the exact same combo of one Mango and one Injeolmi bingsoo LOL. I guess our tastes have not changed! Great for comparison purposes. They've stayed consistent over the years. Experience was the same--pretty long wait, decent bingsoo. No line to order, but we ended up having to wait 30+ minutes for our bowls. Tables are pretty hard to come by here, especially for parties greater than four. I do appreciate that they have extra stools for you to grab if you do secure a table. It's a fine option for dessert if you are in no rush whatsoever and have a small party. read more

Bing soo is always 10/10 here! It's pretty small inside and get very crowded and sometimes you have to wait for a table to free up. There are extra stools around in case you need extra seating. There can also be a bit of a wait once you've ordered from the kiosk. I've never tried a drink from here I always go for the mango bing soo! Even when mango is out of season theirs is always fresh, so strange but very delicious! Parking can also be tough in the area in front of the restaurant so I tend to park further away and just walk. read more

Cozy bingsu spot in Newark that is open relatively late and great for catching up / sharing. The place has been rebranded to "snow bowl" but is under the same management still. The bingsu is pretty nice, good fluffy texture and is actually made from milk / cream base because it's not watery. The matcha red bean bingsu wasn't overpoweringly sweet and went well with the condensed milk. read more

Strawberry bingsoo was yummy!!! Generous slices of fresh strawberries layered all throughout, not just on top. On its own, the shaved ice is bland, but once you mix it with the condensed milk and strawberries, it comes together well. The texture of the ice is fluffy, almost snow-like, which makes it light and easy to eat. The mochi cubes on top were soft, chewy, and not too sweet. I also liked that the condensed milk came on the side so you can control the sweetness. Overall, refreshing, well-balanced, and definitely hits the spot if you're craving something light but satisfying. read more
My favorite bingsoo/bingsu place! They are consistent with service and quality. They do get busy on the weekends but are pretty quick. I have only ordered boba once and I remember loving the small boba instead of the regular size. read more
Service was fast, and we found parking right in front. There were 2 families sitting in the restaurant before us. We ordered through a kiosk, and it was quit. We wanted extra mango, but they informed us that it was not in season. We got a large size to share with 3 of us. It was Gigantic, flavorful and good. read more
A Perfect Late-Night Treat for a Warm Evening! Snow Bowl was the perfect find for a late-night dessert craving on a warm holiday evening! The place was lively and full of people, which is always a good sign. It's so great to have a local spot that gets the important details right, especially when it comes to their shaved ice. We ordered the Strawberry Bingsu and a Mango Sago to-go, and the bingsu was absolutely delicious--the ice was so fine and flavorful, and the boba was some of the best I've had. I was most impressed by how well they packaged it. It was still perfectly frozen and intact after a 10-minute drive home, which is amazing! While I do wish our Mango Sago had some real mango pieces in it, and the store was a bit warm, the quality of the bingsu more than made up for it. We had a small system glitch with our payment, but the staff was helpful about it. I'll happily return whenever I need a shaved ice fix! read more

It looks like MandRo recently rebranded to Snow Bowl, but everything other than the name is the same. Same management, same menu, same quality. Very consistent. I've been a regular for almost a decade, and I've literally tried 90% of the drink menu. Everything is good! Standouts are the popular mango sago and any of the basic milk teas. My personal favorite is the brown rice milk tea which has a nutty unique flavor that's so hard to find at boba spots so I get it almost every time I visit. As far as the bingsoos, the most popular flavors by far are strawberry and mango, and for good reason. Between the two my favorite is the strawberry bingsoo. It tastes like strawberries and cream and is served with chewy delicious mochi which you can order more of for an extra charge. The main con is that it's incredibly busy even during week nights sometimes and when it is, it takes a long time for orders to come out. There's almost never seating and you're usually waiting for a table along with several other groups. I'm not penalizing for this because it's a small place and it's not really feasible to add more seating than what they already have. Turnover is slow because people sit and chat. I'm a patient person and I'm not fazed by waiting of any kind, not even sitting in hours of bay area traffic, so I don't mind! That said I'm a minority based on my experience. Hate that I mention this in every review but it's very pertinent, I've worked so many food jobs and I see the way people react to having to wait especially when they are hungry -- including some of the times that I've been here and have witnessed people yelling at the employees... If you're impatient, do not come here to order a bingsoo on a Friday/weekend unless you're willing to wait potentially half an hour for it to come out AND you're willing to work around the minimal seating options. Don't say I didn't warn you, you won't be happy. read more

The large strawberry bingsoo comes with two pieces of mochi, and they're really soft. I've had mochi with bingsoo at other places where it became hard because of the ice, but that wasn't the case here. If you're sharing with a friend, I think it's worth adding extra mochi. Also, there are generous amount of strawberry slices. There were plenty on top and even strawberries inside the bingsoo as well. read more
I hear this is the only place we should be going for bingsoo in the area. The sweet milky flavor of the shaved milk bingsoo is so light yet satisfying. The condensed milk provided for pouring is a thin texture and not too cloying. Mangoes perfectly ripe. The large size is comically large. Service was an expected pace. It was a weeknight and still pretty busy. Took us a few minutes to get our bowl but nothing insane. Inside it looks like a thriving neighborhood standby, and I understand why. read more

This is my favorite place for bingsoo! This used to be called mandro, but the name has since changed. However the menu remained the same, so not sure why. I come here every couple of months or so for their mango bingsoo. It's a perfect, light dessert. It's not too sweet, but still tasty. The condensed milk topping is a perfect accompaniment to the dish. read more

The first time I noticed was that The decor inside is pretty sad looking. It was plain and empty looking. The worker was friendly but kind of slow making our orders. Luckily we came before a rush because now those people will wait even longer for their orders. It lacked flavor tbh. We thought there would have been mixed in fruit and syrup inside the dome. After you eat your layer of fruit, then it just tasted like plain ice. The fruit was delicious though but then it was meh after that. I wish I took a pic after the top layer to show you all. read more

We waited over 30 minutes for our order because there were only two staff members on shift. It is usually busy in here, but maybe they were just understaffed that day. Regardless every time we come we usually have to wait 10-20 minutes. The mango bingsoo is just okay, it's not the best but still enjoyable. I personally wish it had more sweetener or condsensed milk. I ordered a regular milk tea and that was good, the boba was the perfect texture. read more
Came here on a warm Tuesday afternoon. There are about like maybe 20 seats or less for seating? You order at a kiosk and you pick it up from the counter. The bingsoo is DELICIOUS. All the flavors we tried were all SO good! Didn't try the drinks but they did have several options! The only reason I gave it one less star is because it was extremely hot inside and it seemed like there was no air circulation. The service was okay? They don't really talk to you and just announce when your order is ready! However the desserts were so good and it doesn't seem like there are any other places that sell bingsoo in the area, so I will definitely be back! read more

We were in the mood for dessert and spotted mango bingsoo on the menu. It looked interesting so we gave it a try. It is a bowl of finely shaved ice topped with mango chunks and a drizzle of sweet condensed milk. The mangoes were really tasty, maybe because of the condensed milk. As the ice started melting and mixed with the mangoes and milk, the whole thing tasted amazing like a tropical treat. We ordered the regular size and thought it might be too heavy but it was not at all. Since it is shaved ice and not ice cream, it felt light and refreshing. Two of us shared it and it was just right. I really liked it. If you are looking for something cool and satisfying in the summer, this is definitely a dessert worth trying. read more
Edit: Still love it! Not sure what happened to the Milpitas one (temporarily closed last I checked) but this one still one of the best for snow. After my favorite snow dessert place closed down, my second favorite place (which is this one) is now my favorite. I love coming here for the snow dessert. It's very fine grained so it does look and taste like snow. I don't come here for the drinks so I can't say much about that but for the snow or bingsu (Korean term) this is amazing. read more

Amazing bingsoo (with a lot of ice shavings)! We have ordered the original red bean milk bingsoo and chocolate bingsoo. First of all the bingsoos are very good, the chocolate one comes with chocolate shavings, brownie chunks and Kit Kat chunks. Overall it's very good, the only complaint is too much ice shavings so the bottom half a bit boring!! read more

We were visiting my daughter at college, and she insisted we visit this place and that her brother and sister would love it, and she was right. The bowls are huge, and there are only two sizes, regular and large. These are considered the "regular" size and they are absolutely shareable. They come with a side of sweetness condensed milk to pour on top. Adding the condensed milk turns the snow cone more into an ice cream consistency. The bowls look beautiful with the fresh toppings, but the star of the show is the ice! It is unlike any snow one I've ever had. It's incredibly soft, and feels like what you'd expect magical snow to taste like. Fun place for kids, a date, or just a sweet treat for yourself. read more

It should be okay! Holds up pretty well.
What happens to bingsoo texture-wise when placed in a freezer for a couple of hours? (Planning a kbbq party and I figured bingsoo would be the best ending 😋)
Ice turns hard. I wouldn't recommend it. Fresh is always best.
