In the Mega Mart plaza but a bit around the corner. Stopped in and tried the mango pomelo. Drinks came out fast. Mine was more like a slushy, I somewhat expected yogurt or larger chunks of fruit but it was still tasty and refreshing. I like that they use paper cups.
Placed an order via Toast. The order was made incorrectly, I tried calling both the store and Toast multiple times but unable to reach them. Store - line goes to voicemail Toast - user is busy I ordered B1. Large Brown Sugar Pearl & Panna Cotta Milk. Panna Cotta was missing and the drink barely have any pearls. They used paper cup as opposed to clear plastic cup so it is impossible to tell whether the drink contained all the correct ingredients until you leave the store and start drinking it. Also, I've been here couple times and was able to adjust the ice and sugar level. However, this time, I was told this cannot be adjusted. Definitely will not try again.....
I cannot speak about the food but... It looks super sketch and super ghetto outside (even the stuff they plastered on the windows are peeling off making it even more sketch) which makes me not want to go in at all but reading the reviews, I could not help myself. DRINK // Integrated fruit iced tea with brown sugar boba - I know what integrated means, but I do not know what integrated means in this case and there was no explanation on the self service kiosk - bitter after taste - it's very citrusy - boba was very soft but still had some chew left so it was not completely disappointing AMBIENCE // - limited sitting of only 5 seats with dirty but kawaii cushions squished in the corner (see photo) - grab and go - very very very small shop SERVICE // - can tell does not want any interaction if possible (I asked a question and this is how I knew hahaha) - gotta be self sufficient on a self service kiosk - just leaves the drink on the table... and says nothing (I think they do say the name or the drink but super softy) - did not even care to put a straw on top of the drink or hand me a straw LOCATION // - big 5 / dollar tree / mega mart plaza - next to Miga Korean restaurant - plentiful parking Will I come back? No, BUT that is mainly because I personally do not like creamy drinks and I believe what makes this shop unique are their cloudy creamy creations.
Always hunting popcorn chicken and my current local favorites are Chef Cho and Ain't Common. iTea is also acceptable if it's late at night. Chachago's version is completely unseasoned so you can adjust the chili powder and salt/white pepper yourself. I understand the logic but I suppose I like to have some flavor baseline to start with - personal preference.
Service You will be asked to order on the kiosk. I asked the staff what they recommended The Taste The popcorn chicken was okay, slightly pricey but rice is salad, I wish I had the other salad I saw in other pictures, the salad here was the green seafood salad. The boba was good with lots of real lychee! Ambiance Nicely decorated, place is small. Limited seats, hard bench with some tiny pillows. I'd come again for boba for pickup, but probably not to sit and eat for snacks or meals.
This place is a to go place so it's not very inviting and it's very small but the service was good. The cashier had good recommendations and was very friendly. The milk tea was solid and the boba was nice and chewy. I also got a spam musubi which took them some time since they were making it fresh but it was yummy!
(Updates after going a couple times) I wanted to like this place but after going a couple times, unfortunately it's not one of my favorites. Located in a shopping complex by Mowry blvd, a bit tricky to find but just follow google maps lol Sadly, the Korean market next to it closed down (such a good place for gimbaps and banchans!) which was the other reason to be in the plaza for me. The shop is really small, can hardly fit 4-5 people in there without it feeling too crowded. I usually just wait outside the shop after I order. I've tried a couple more drinks after my first visit and honestly, I was not impressed. The matcha was entirely too bitter and the taro tasted super watered down that I didn't even get to finish it. Also the service isn't too great. I never get a hi or hello then they don't even call my number out and just leave the drink at the table. Sorry guys, I tried :(
Wanted to grab a quick snack and boba and found this spot. Lots of choices and decided on the red bean slush and of course order of the popcorn chicken. Chicken was juicy and not dry! Pleasantly surprised they use dark meat, a lot of the other shops around the area have switched over to the chicken breast. Lemme tell ya that ain't it LOL. My drink was good, I like the thiccness of the slush and the pieces of red bean in it. Only thing I would change is that the boba needed to be drained a lot more, I got that kinda weird sugary aftertaste that was definitely from the boba not being fully drained ( you can see it in my pic). Hopefully they change that, otherwise everything was good and if I'm in that area I might stop by again. PEACE!
My boys and I came here for the first time. We decided to give this place a try and it did not disappoint. I got the taro purple yam ice cream. My boys got the mango drinks. They both enjoyed the drink. We would come back. They liked it that the mango fruit was fresh.
Boba has the perfect chew! Sweetness is adjustable. Brand new shop with a recent grand opening on the other end of MegaMart.
Every visit thus far to Chachago has been met with friendly staff, delicious food, great drinks, and decent prices We ordered via the kiosk and stuck to our favorites but did notice some new drinks they were promoting. Will need to consider them next time around. Anyway, this order added to our rewards total for a future visit! The brown sugar drinks are already sweet without sugar and as a fan of this series, I ordered the one with boba and coffee jelly. It was tasty and the coffee jelly gave that slight bitterness you get with coffee flavored items. It did seem like there were more coffee jelly than boba - would have been nice to have them more equal or an option to modify the percentages. The boba was chewy - I would have liked them a little bit more round and solid but they were fine in the shape they were in. This time around, the snacks took a bit longer to cook but within about 10 minutes, we got our popcorn chicken with basil (you can choose to add or opt out of them) and was chowing down on its hot and crispy bits. This mall is slowly becoming more quiet with the departure of some stores and so parking isn't too bad. With the newer builders just across the street, however, I suspect there will be a bit more competition in the coffee/tea space. Hopefully ChaChaGo can continue to thrive especially through their snack platters and happy hour specials. If you're on the go and need a caffeine or sugar boost, consider making a stop at ChaChaGo. If you're hungry, perhaps order ahead or be prepared to wait a bit as their small kitchen may not be able to churn as quickly as their drink orders. But hey, at least you'll have something to sip on while you wait!
I tried the B2 Taro Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea, and it was delicious! The flavor was rich and creamy, and the pearls were perfectly chewy. Definitely coming back to try more drinks. recommend!

We decided to give chachago try because we were in the area and looking for a snack. We ordered the popcorn chicken, egg waffle, and the peach oolong tea with Panna cotta. The popcorn chicken was the best item that we got, surprisingly it was relatively crisp and had a good ratio of meat to breading. It wasn't really seasoned though so if you order it, be sure to be heavy handed with the seasonings that they have on the counter when you pick up the chicken. The seasonings on the counter are white pepper and spicy powder. Overall, I would say it's not bad but it's definitely not the best popcorn chicken I've ever had. The egg waffle took the longest to make which was a good sign because it was made fresh but when we received it, it was on the soggy side. The flavor was different compared to other egg waffles we had because it tasted like it had a hint of vanilla, which was very interesting. Even with this twist I probably wouldn't order it again purely because it didn't have the crisp and texture that I prefer when eating a waffles. For the peach oolong pure tea, the tea was definitely not brewed fresh because it had a very bitter taste to it, which overpowered the entire flavor of the tea. I ended up getting a pure tea because they mentioned that they only use milk powder in their milk teas, which is a huge turn off for me because I prefer Boba shops with multiple milk options. When I saw that they had Panna cotta on the menu, I was super excited because I love Panna cotta, but unfortunately, this Panna cotta disappointed. It's because it had a really weird grainy texture and the flavor was offputting. Overall, I won't be coming back mostly because this place didn't wow me and didn't have anything differentiating it from other Boba shops. Even with the best item being the popcorn chicken, it wasn't amazing enough to warrant coming back and try other items. read more
A small tea shop with a huge menu. You really have to spend some time looking at the different drinks and snack options. You place your order by using the large touch screen menu. You can customize and finish up without any hassles. Matcha panna cotta is something I've never tried and liked. I opted for 25% sugar and enjoyed the less sweet version. Of all the snacks a corn dog somehow seemed to get my vote. They have either ketchup or spicy mayo as the dipping sauce. A quick and easy eat it up fast kinda snack. Light and crispy dough and plump doggie inside. The girls working were friendly and able to manage the orders which seemed continuous. I would venture back to try some more goodies next time. read more
This place is pretty good. I am not a boba connoisseur or anything like that. Whenever I am in the area, I usually come here because it's easy to get to and there's hella parking. You order from the kiosk and they're pretty quick getting it prepared. There is a bench with a couple tables while you wait or if you decide to drink there. They are pretty sweet, but I always get little to no sweetness and use the toppings as the sweetener. Overall, it's pretty good. read more
Great service by all staff despite my many questions. Be aware that you may need to swipe your card so while Apple Pay in theory should work on their card reader, bring a good 'ol CC along. FYI this is a very cozy shop and there is very limited seating with a couple small tables - staying means short-term at very best. I had a Grape Iced Tea which was refreshing but I definitely want to try one of the Panna Cotta drinks next time. Perhaps the matcha one - it looks promising! I come to this particular plaza often as I shop at MEGA Mart every chance I come to this area. Now that I have finally discovered them, I should come by here before any grocery runs to pick up a "shopping companion" (aka a drink while I shop). read more
Got the mango pomelo drink and was quite pleasantly surprised by the amount of real fruit inside. We ordered it without any sugar which fits me quite well although some may think the mango is on the sour side. Some boba place created fake mango drinks which tastes like sugar but this one tastes quite real. There were only one seating bench and a few small stand tables so you can't really hang out. read more
Honestly the boba shop's name sounds like Chicago. Anyways, my friend and I decided to go come to this location to get some boba and snacks. When I first got here, there is many people most likely because it's hot outside right now. I'm surprised that there are many items you can buy from the menu. Literally different names of drinks and food, but you may have to go to one of the kiosks to see what they look like. I literally had a hard time deciding which ones I want and so I had my friend help me out on it. Food and drinks taste as good as other boba places. From the inside, it's very small and rarely has seats. However, I do like how they added plants and other natural resources to make this place look vibrant and modern. I wish that they added more seats, but the place is too small since people are here lining up and waiting for their orders to be picked up. So then my friend and I stood for a while until like 30 minutes later that many people left. It's funny how they still have a Grand Opening sign for over a year now just for the restaurant to promote itself. You may see that it is false advertising, but attractive at the same time. Not that it really matters, but this boba shop is a good place to go and I would go here again. read more
Chachago is a bit hidden but not far from Fremont Hub and worth a trip if you're craving boba and fried snacks. Sadly it is a bit small so likely not a great place to go to hang out, but they do have a bench and photo op decor. Their yakult drinks are delicious, but recently I NEEDED something with more caffeine so I tried their Thai Tea W/ Brown Sugar Pearls & Panna Cotta-and it is deliciousssss. Warning: the menu does say the drink is very sweet by default so I selected 0% extra sweetness and it was still VERY sweet - don't get it if you don't have a sweet tooth. I couldn't finish the whole thing, but it was delicious-I especially love how creamy the panna cotta is. I would def try the panna cotta with their other drinks next time. :) Their shrimp balls are also very craveable-they're super crispy and topped with kewpie mayo. They do remind me of the shrimp balls you can get at dim sum. read more
Came here on a Friday night and there was no line. The menu was extensive and everything looked delicious! I ordered the mango twister with boba and my boyfriend got the lychee Yakult smoothie. The mango smoothie was good it was an ice blended drink but I think I was kinda hoping for more of a smoothie so I was a little disappointed. My boyfriend's lychee drink was perfectly sweet and had a light but creamy texture to it. I would come back and try other drinks on the menu! read more
We visited Fremont and found this boba location. We stopped by since it was close to where we were. I ordered C1 which is their brown sugar boba milk tea it's really rich and creamy. The service you order on a kiosk and they make your drink. I got my drink really fast around a couple minutes. Costed around 6.50. I love the background location they give for the picture. It's a really nice inside design. Would visit again. read more

I'm definitely a fan. One of the only boba shops that offers a Cocoa based/ flavored brown sugar delightful paired with Panna Cotta and brown sugar pearls? Yes, please! I've only visited Chachago twice (once for a YES event), and both times, I ordered a Cocoa based drink. Yum. Small little store with seasonal and festive decorations. Limited seating inside and I think there may be a table outside. Limited parking along the strip mall, but the drinks are well made and quickly. Food options available as well, but the Cocoa based drinks are the way to to!--for me at least. Service was quick and nice. But your ordering is on a large TV screen in front of you. No real human interaction while ordering. If I'm in Fremont, Chachago would be one of my go to boba shops to visit, especially when I'm in the central Fremont neighborhood. read more

Walked in on a Tuesday evening, no line. There's two self serve kiosks, you can order on there. I decided to go for a simple drink, their Taiwan milk tea with boba, 100% ice and 25% sugar. It's already extra sweet from the brown sugar so I'm glad I adjusted it, but the boba is really soft? I don't particularly like super hard boba either but I do like boba that has a more of a chewy texture rather one that's soft and doesn't fight back. The popcorn chicken took about 5 minutes to prep, but there's barely any meat, it's all stale breading and the chicken is so dry. This is so disappointing, I really wanted to like it. read more
This is my favorite Boba Spot, they have the best popcorn chicken, not oily or greasy perfect crisp and you can add your own spice level. I love the Strawberry Yakult Smoothie with crystal boba, I never had anything like it anywhere else. I definitely will be a regular here! The staff are also nice and inside is cute and small. I like the location not in too much in busy area and has lots of parking. read more
Boba place in Fremont. Its in a plaza with some korean market and restaurants Pretty small shop, with some seating on the side. We waited here for our drinks and egg puff. You can order in person or on one of the kiosks. Lots of choices to choose. Each section comes in a series. And they even have snacks. I got the Integrated Fruit Tea and Egg Puff. You can pick sweetness and ice. I opted for 75% Sugar and Regular ice The fruit tea had a nice tea flavor, pretty clean. The egg puff could of been better. The holes were all empty. Service was friendly but slow. Two workers yet, taking orders and making them took awhile. And it was not busy when we went. Were talking after dinner on a weekday too I would comeback to try some chicken and other drinks. Private lot in front! read more

FLAVOR (3/5): For those who like strong tea flavors you might like this place but it was too strong for me personally, almost to the point of over-brewed. I got the ice cream black tea, the ice cream itself wasn't super creamy but was too frozen and took too long to melt. Their 50% sweetness is really not sweet for a gauge! INSTAGRAM WORTHY (3/5): The shop itself was pretty new but wasn't anything special and a rather small shop. They did have a floral arch inside but which shop doesn't at this point. Not too much seating space. The cups were also standard, the drinks didn't stand out either. SERVICE (3/5): The drinks took longer than I would typically expect for a milk tea shop and 3 people working. TAKEAWAYS: Standard boba that didn't make a lasting impression on me, most likely wouldn't be back if I had other options to go to. read more

At last -- another boba shop in the central Fremont area! (Love you, Tata Teahouse, but you needed some competition!) Chachago is tucked away in an unassuming strip next to a tasty Korean restaurant. (Hi, Miga!) There isn't much space inside to hang out for too long -- just a couple of small round tables and a bench. Good for waiting for your drinks, but probably not the best to stay for a longer catch-up with friends. All ordering is done on a kiosk. They have an extensive menu filled with milk teas, fruit teas, and everything in between. We went for some of their top drinks to try since it was our first time here. Taiwan No. 1 Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea. They have a whole series of Taiwan brown sugar milk teas. I was surprised that they allowed me to adjust the sweetness level on this because they are typically unadjustable. I appreciated this! Strong tea flavor coming through, not overpowered by brown sugar or milk. Uji Matcha Pearl. If you want a matcha drink, this is it. Strong, earthy matcha and milk. Period. That's it. The boba adds the perfect amount of sweetness to balance it all out. Hopefully their wait times have improved as they get their footing. It looked like only one worker making all of the drinks when we went, so kudos to her. I can only imagine how crazy it can get if a large party comes through. read more
