Ordering wasn't easy. The online menu didn't match the tablet in store. Spam musubi online is $5 but in store it's $7.50. Online has brown sugar boba milk tea but in-store tablet didn't have it. Came here on a weekday around 3pm. Wasn't too busy which was good because I think there were only 2 staff members at the time. They have a pretty big menu and you can either order from a kiosk or at the cashiers. I've ordered delivery from here too and their boba seems to be consistent and it's pretty good. I haven't found anything extremely special yet but once again, they do have a big menu to choose from so I might've not come across it yet. The only bad thing was that when I went in, there were several tables that haven't been bussed yet. It seemed like there were only 2 out of 10 tables clean. I'm not gonna lie, I love R&B tea as a franchise. Their drinks and food are always enough to die for. But this place feels a little more inauthentic than the rest. 100% the portions at other R&Bs are doubled to the point that there is always food to take home. Over here, its very small. I couldn't believe how little Pate was offered with my plate. For a Vietnamese spot, that was very disappointing. Some spots will even have a steak that you need a knife to cut. And this place had the same price but half as much sauce(butter & meat juices) and was laced with veggies to clean up the lack of everything. I had to eat this with one roll and the bread was so soft that it became soggy after trying to put ingredients in it. Or it would fall apart when I simply tried to dip the bread in the sauce. I don't know what could be different but this bread was alot whiter than what I'm used to. The boba though.... I saved it for post meal and from the first sip. It's amazing! It single handedly saved the review. I'd offer a half star if I could. I gotta give it a 2 star because I came starving and left starving. But I spent as much as 25$ for this photo. Matcha milk tea 3/10 - tooo much matcha :( - they could've used half that amount and made extra drinks - go with 100% sugar not 75% because this drink tasted so bad Dragon fruit mango GT with basil seeds 6/10 - the mango purée on the bottom is nice but remember to mix you drink for a while before you drink it - they charged me $0.50 EXTRA when the drink on the kiosk cost $5.75 with basil seeds but my drink before tax came out to $6.25..... They did not tell us that no ice cost an extra $1...we would not have ordered with no ice if that was the case. The extra cost for the basil seeds was not worth it :( Btw 20% off coupon with Yelp check in! Overall, I know they are having a soft opening but they have so many things to work out.
