3.5 stars rounded up for the unique split cup feature, customer service was a bit odd. When I walked in there was nobody at the counter. I looked around, locked eyes with two people in the back, and noticed there were 3 people sitting in the back. Nobody said hello and nobody was in a rush to come to the front so I stood there for a bit waiting to see what they were going to do ... Eventually one person came over and handed off my pickup order. The actual drinks were fine. I got a duet cup with coconut mango sticky rice and rose Thai milk tea. The mango drink tasted pretty standard, the purple rice was a nice addition. The rose Thai milk tea was decent. I'm not wowwed but I appreciated getting to try two drink flavors in one split cup. I wish no ice were an option because the less ice option was still more ice than I'd prefer. I don't know if I'd return for the drinks, but I'd be curious to try the jianbing since you can't get there everywhere. There is a lot of seating inside but nobody was sitting there on a Sunday afternoon. read more

The taste Fresh spam masubi wrapped in plastic, yummy lychee boba (real pieces, a bit chopped up) and crystal boba. Service I ordered via kiosk and it came out pretty quick. Ambiance Lots of tables and seating. Very clean and trendy. Definitely an upgrade from the last place. Verdict ‍ I'd come here again. read more

I'm new to the area and haven't ventured out yet to get boba, but I was thirsty and craving popcorn chicken on a Saturday afternoon and Duet Tea is conveniently located across the Marshall's. Their menu offered a good variety of drinks. The snack menu was sparse compared to other boba places, but still offered some tempting options. I debated getting a combo, but instead I got their mango coconut with jelly and an order of the popcorn chicken. You can use the self-order kiosk in front to place your order. The staff was friendly upon my arrival and greeted me. Overall, for my first visit it wasn't bad. The place is clean and bright and I enjoyed what I got. read more

Located at Fremont Hub, next to Popeyes. Wanted a sweet treat for my Coworkers since it was Receptionist day. Appreciated that online ordering on Yelp/ grub hub was available. Ordered Mango Green tea w/mango purée as is, did not modify this drink. They offer a cool DUET cup that you can have two flavors of milk tea. It has a fixed menu with many choices. It was a combo with 2 spam musubis. I chose coconut latte & regular milk tea with boba. Modified 1/2 sugar And ice. Tasted ok, I think I should have left sugar as is as was a bit bland. Overall, cute boba shop. Has changed names in past years . Would visit again. read more

3.5 but rounding up to 4. This is a pretty standard boba shop conveniently located at Fremont Hub. I stopped by at lunch time on a Thursday and there were only a couple of other people in the shop. I ordered on the kiosk and my drink came out super quick! I got the rose Thai milk tea and asked for less ice and sweetness in the comments. I'm not sure they actually accommodated the request, but I was really happy with how my drink turned out! My friend ordered the rose lychee green tea which was too sweet for our tastes despite choosing the less sweet option. Pros: Weekly special drinks are $4.99 when ordered at the counter (see sign inside to know the specials). Prices are very reasonable overall. They offer snacks including jianbing, popcorn chicken and musubis. Plenty of seating and tables inside. Lots of parking. Cons: Not all drinks have a sweetness or ice option. read more

The drinks are pretty good, I like how they mention recommendations for sugar and/or ice levels. I ordered 3 drinks totaling $25: Rose Lychee Green Tea w/ Lychee Jelly (light on Lychee flavor but still a refreshing drink), Brown Sugar Milk Tea (they offer two versions: one with tea and one without tea - this is good if you don't want any caffeine but like the flavor), and lastly Mango Slush w/ Crystal Boba. The cashier was very friendly and helpful, she even gave recommendations based on my preference of Lychee flavors. Spacious indoor seating and cute decor. Location is in Fremont Hub next to Popeyes and Trader Joe's. I'd come back again and try other flavors. Card only. read more

This place still has a Christmas tree with fake presents in june! What other bubble tea boba place can claim that! This is your standard boba place machine at the front to order. Clean look and feel. Christmas tree, obviously. This is a few doors down from the only trader Joe's FUN area. And next to Popeyes. I'm not sure if I can bring Popeyes in here but I bet someone will tell me. The service here was excellent. Just for the service alone. I would recommend this location. The boba in my drink was fresh. I like it when its fresh. Some people need it to taste extra honey, but I'm OK with it just being fresh. The menu is standard. Milk tea, slush, coffee. A nice selection which also includes lemonade. Not as crazy big as tapx but who needs that selection. One of the great things here is the snacks. Popcorn chicken has not been making its way into new boba shops so I'm always happy to see it on the menu. They also have musubi and tiaobing or Chinese crepe as they call it. The popcorn chicken is not bad. As my aiyi would say, "not the best". It's a decent value for the price. The flavor is good. Spice is nice. The breading was the only soft spot. but the drink was excellent. In this specific part of fremont, I would consider it the best. We are a little far from the asian store areas such as automall and old warm springs mission. read more

Duet Tea is newest tea shop to enter into the crazy milk tea/boba tea market. Cute design and branding. They do offer snacks like musubis, Crepes, popcorn chicken, etc. Order via kiosk or cashier. Ordered the weekly special - osmanthus oolong milk tea for myself. It wasn't exactly too my taste. I personally prefer my teas to have a strong tea taste but I just taste very sweet osmanthus (I ordered 50%). My boyfriend ordered the coconut latte. We know ordering coffee at a boba shop can be hit or miss. Unfortunately this one tasted like coconut milk with a very small hint coffee aftertaste On the other hand, service was great. There were 2 people serving a mini rush so there was a bit of a wait. read more

We were in the area and I've been curious to try the place since we saw it the last time we were at Trader Joe's. In short, I'm a little on the fence about the whole experience. Though service was friendly, the drink I had was a bit out of the ordinary and would be curious to see how a more standard drink would be like. Still think it's an option that's better than what it was before. L O C A T I O N Duet Tea replaced a different boba tea shop in the Fremont Hub area though more closer to Trader Joe's. It's right next to Popeye's so grab some delicious smelling chicken next door. Parking can be a bit tough though on that side, a little bit better. I N S I D E Pretty spacious and sparse in decor, but I think they're still in their beginning stages. There is a particular scent inside though that I'm unsure what it is and it definitely irritated my throat while we were inside and waiting for our drinks. There is a self ordering kiosk as well as ordering at the cashier. The backside is primarily the drink making area which felt large but I think eventually they'll be making snacks too. M E N U They had an interesting menu. Do note that even though the menu has "milk tea" sections, not all drinks in that section have tea like the Brown Sugar Milk with boba. What's kind of nice with the kiosk is that you get the actual images of the drinks and what you can customize in front of you. I think had I known what the Jasmine Green Milk Tea would look like, I may have gone for a different drink. I wish they had just a standard classic milk tea and your choice of topping. I'm sure you can ask for it, but tethering it to a topping can hinder people from ordering it. I did order a Jasmine Milk Tea with aloe. I was surprised to hear I can only do light ice and light sugar which probably should have been a sign that it was not a standard Jasmine Milk Tea. I walked over to the kiosk and then saw the image of the drink and it had milk on the bottom and floating on top was a teal colored liquid. I think it's pretty but kind of wondering what makes it colored teal as Jasmine Tea is not naturally colored teal. The drink did come in one mixed color which bummer, couldn't take a photo of it separated like in the image. Although it did taste like Jasmine green tea, the drink feel in the mouth felt...a little thicker than I'm used to. Also it was sweeter than I'd take my drinks since I take my milk teas with no sugar and no ice. My partner got the osmanthus oolong milk tea and it came with a whipped cream topping which again....a bit weird. He mentioned that the boba lacked flavor. The osmanthus was oolong and floral forward which was to be expected. We ordered a couple other drinks which one had boba even though we asked for crystal boba. Maybe it was a miscommunication. S E R V I C E Quite friendly! We were greeted when entering, asked if we needed recommendations and also suggested a drink while ordering in case we didn't see it on the menu. All great in my opinion. Also was told that the split cup was available and was an extra charge and the over all drink price would be an average of the two single prices. Drinks did come out a little slower than I'm used to but I think it's because it looked like the staff was learning how to make drinks as we looked at them go over the drinks we ordered. O V E R A L L As I said in the beginning, I'm not sure how I feel about this place. The drinks are not what I'd call "usual." I think pricing of drinks is unfortunately on par with the area which paying $7+ for boba these days feels like a super luxury, but won't stop me from paying it. I wish the menu was organized under each subcategory and more standard milk tea drinks with choice of topping would be nice without being locked into a topping as unfortunately I can't chew boba well these days. Will I be back? Sure, I'd give them another try with another drink and see how I feel after subsequent orders. But for now, it's ok and folks should try them out to see if it's it your type of boba shop! And for folks who are indecisive, you can get two drinks in one :) read more

Came here on a Friday evening and it wasn't busy. I ordered the classic milk tea and the mango slushie in a duet cup. The drink came out in less than 5 minutes and looked pretty! They also have $4.99 drinks on the weekdays which is pretty cool. However, the classic milk tea was a bit bland as it wasn't very sweet and the tea flavor overpowered the drink. The boba was chewy but wasn't flavorful as it wasn't coated in anything. The mango slushie was a bit better as it was sweet and the crystal boba was a unique topping. Overall, this place was okay; might come back if I'm in the area but not sure if I would come out of my way to visit! read more

Tried duet tea for the first time and the menu is pretty standard. I ordered a taro milk tea with boba and was surprised that it was only $5! Unfortunately, you can't customize it at all so it was too sweet and creamy for me. They had some weekly featured drinks on the sign at the counter for a discounted price, but when we tried to order them, they stayed that the price wasn't valid anymore and flipped the sign. We also ended up waiting close to 30 minutes for our 2 drinks even though it wasn't even busy at the time. read more

I stopped by as I saw it was their soft opening! And the drink I got was pretty good! I got the Lychee Rose Tea with Boba! I will say I do think it's a bit pricy, even with the soft opening discount, it came out to be about $7.50! But that might be just Bay Area prices... The tea was delicious, and the boba quality was absolutely amazing and the perfect texture! Service was fine, I used the kiosk to order and the ambiance was nice, had a decent amount of seating! Note, when I went, the phone signal inside the shop was really bad..felt like a dead zone for some reason! read more

Duet Tea is the latest boba shop located in the Fremont Hub, next to Trader Joe's and Hub and Ten. Those who frequent this shopping plaza know that parking can be difficult, as there is constant foot traffic at all times, but if you're willing to walk a little you should be fine. Once you're inside, there is ample seating and a convenient kiosk for you to place your order. I noticed that their milk teas are cheaper than their fruit teas (despite being the same size) but since I prefer the latter, I got a peach oolong tea to go. The drinks here are more on the expensive side ($6.50/7 per fruit tea) unless you order a milk tea, which is a little lower. You're able to customize the sugar and ice level, and service was fast. I really liked my drink of choice! It wasn't overly sweet and even though I'm usually a slow drinker, I finished my drink in one sitting. The peach was a prominent fixture but not overpowering. I'll definitely go back to try their other flavors. read more

I love the service from the owner. She was kind to provide promotions. I decided to order their duet cup because that's what they're famous for. I had trouble putting the order on their kiosk; it wouldn't let me order that specific item so I had to wait in line for a while to order at the register. However, the drinks need more improvement. The Coconut Slushy was more of a smoothie and the lychee tea was a bit too sweet at 50%. Luckily, both flavors to balance each other out. I hope their food is good once they release it. The duet cup was strong and durable for around $10. The store was nicely decorated with lots of open seats. read more

A fun new boba shop located in the Fremont Hub shopping mall! Duet Tea specializes in split cup boba drinks and I was feeling like boba that day, but didn't just want to have one flavor/tea, so this was right up my alley. The inside of Duet Tea is very clean, spacious, and airy. There is plenty of seating as well. I did not want to wait for the group of people ordering at the kiosk so I ordered up front. The cashier was friendly and welcoming. As it was my first time trying Duet Tea, I went for drinks from the Top 10 menu and chose a Strawberry MT w/ boba & a mango green MT. I was able to customize the ice and sweetness for the mango green MT but not the strawberry MT, which came with boba. My order was made pretty quickly and I was on my way. The boba from the strawberry MT was chewy and bouncy, and not overcooked. However, the drink itself was quite sweet, and I wish I could have changed the sweetness level. The mango green MT wasn't the most flavorful. While the mango purée was fine, the green MT part was lacking. I'm also used to having high quality ceremonial matcha, however, so my opinion is skewed as my standards are high. Basically, I had to mix the purée in well for that side of my split cup to be decent. I also customized the sweetness level of the mango green MT so that played a role in the imbalance. Regardless, both drinks were pretty refreshing and not very pricy considering the price of a single boba drink nowadays. I loved that the split cup was very sturdy and after finishing my drink, I washed it so I could reuse the cup and lid at home. Call me a boba snob, but I was not the most impressed by Duet Tea. However, I like the concept of the split cup and would still be down to try another set of drinks when I go to Fremont next time. read more

New boba shop close to Trader Joe's in Fremont Hub. Simple layout and currently still on soft opening zone. Friend said the Rose Thai Tea is pleasant. I ordered the duet tea cup one flavor was supreme fruit tea with osmanthus jelly and Oreo creme brûlée. I did enjoy the fruit tea with osmanthus jelly they perfectly balance each other, I do need a spoon to eat the fruit toppings and jelly. I ordered less sweet and less ice and the supreme fruit tea was naturally sweet. The Oreo Crème Brûlée was not done well it was super bitter and I only taste the creme brûlée at the end but boba was very fresh and delicious. Food menu will be added later on. Overall, not bad for a starting boba shop and the service was good. read more

Not everything is available for order yet, but they have a lot of items on the menu. I ordered honeydew milk tea and it came with boba as default. It's already premade, so there's no customization allowed for this drink. I wish this drink was adjustable because the sweetness was a little bit too much. Other drinks allowed adjustments, so that's good! The cashier was friendly and drink came out quick. I'll definitely give this place another try when they have food available to order. REVIEW #100 Truthfully I have never tried any boba shop that has opened in the TJ/King Noodle plaza. I don't know why... oblivion? skepticism? But seeing the reviews and what "Duet Tea" had to offer, I could not resist the temptation. I ORDERED: 1) combo: duet with 2 spam musubi I don't know if I should say this aloud (please don't come for me) but IT IS SO MUCH CHEAPER TO ORDER THROUGH THE ASIAN PICKUP/DELIVERY WEBSITES!! - very very very cool they offer two drink options in ONE cup... it has been awhile since I have seen this offered any where - two separate holes per two separate drinks for two straws! - don't know if it's because it's a duet cup but the grass jelly topping was so little - their toppings run $1 for everything and anything!! - only offered three options for ice and sweetness: less, regular, none... less sweetness was still HELLA sweet - no bitter after taste and can definitely taste the presence of tea - love how they went the extra mile and placed the two musubis in an actual box instead of just handing me a stack of two musubis - musubis are smaller than pictured (seaweed, spam with sauce, rice, seaweed)... did not offer hot sauce like sriracha (which makes them magnitudes better!) AMBIENCE: - it's not very welcoming - furniture/seats are light colored and dirty - there were people sitting here studying and chatting SERVICE: - was gawd awful - lackluster and nonexistent LOCATION / PARKING: - next to king noodle and Trader Joe's (...Popeyes, Hub's, GNC) - lots of options for food, shopping, etc in the area - lots of parking; free + private parking lot Will I come back? Likely but only if there are coupons offered online (hahaha). read more

If you value your taste buds and hard earned dollars, DO NOT COME HERE!! I ordered the Taro Milk Tea with boba. Ice and sugar level were nonadjustable. To reply to your response: correct, the order didn't show up in your system so I have to call to resolve the issue. But YOU told me that you'll start make the drinks WHILE I was trying to resolve it with customer service. If you had told me you can't make the drinks before I pay it in store, I would not have complained. Also to get facts straight I was in store the whole time and didn't step outside. ---------- Placed the order over Yelp, order didn't come through, I told them to make the drink now while I call Yelp and cancel and reorder. They said sure. 15 mins later, after phone call and paid in store, THEN they started to make the drinks. While I had a hungry baby waiting in the car. Not sure how long its going for, but they are offering a discount as part of soft opening month I really enjoyed the mango milk and purple rice (i forgot the exact name of the drink). The drink was not too sweet and not too icy. It had real watermelon chunks and delicious jellies! Must try! read more

It's a rather expensive boba place... 5.99 for a milk tea with no boba is quite a lot but that's where a lot of boba prices are coming up to now unfortunately. I just want to know why it's 4.99 for a taro milk tea WITH boba though, see, that's more reasonable in my opinion. anyways... like I've said it's pretty expensive going to the 5.99 - 6.99 range for drink alone and a DOLLAR for boba that's more on the harder side. I've tried multiple drinks from here to the Jasmine milk tea with its unique colors to the peach oolong milk tea and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed? The drinks were sort of bland... mixing flavors or maybe just sweetness despite being at 100% sweet. The teas were too milky and not enough tea. Although the jasmine green milk tea looked fairly nice it didn't compliment in the taste category to which i was sad about since it looked appealing. The peach oolong milk tea hardly had the peach taste I wish it was stronger. I also got the oreo creme brulee milk tea and it was pretty good but I think that has to do with more of the creme brulee that was in it than the over all milk tea. It was 9 bucks for the split cup with what i got! the cup is thick and chunky but I felt it wasn't really worth paying an extra dollar just to have a unique shaped cup... nonetheless it's a cute place i lile fhe decorations and the little animal mascots. the staff here are nice, quiet, but nice. i think if I were craving the oreo milk tea I would go but general boba? I'll pass and wouldn't recommend my friends to go unfortunately read more

I just had the most amazing experience at Duet Tea, and I can confidently say this new teahouse is a must-visit. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, with charming decor on the walls and festive holiday decorations that made the whole place feel warm and welcoming. It's the perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The service here is top-tier. The personal owner went above and beyond by suggesting drink flavors based on my preferences, and all of the staff were super kind and friendly, which really enhanced the experience. You can tell they genuinely care about making each visit special. As for the food quality - WOW. I tried the Mango Coconut Sticky Rice and the Mango Green Milk Tea, and both were absolutely incredible. The drinks tasted so fresh, with perfectly ripe mangoes and a balance of flavors that were pronounced but not overpowering. I also loved that you can adjust the sweetness level on some drinks - it really allows you to tailor the experience to your liking. One of the coolest things about Duet Tea is their split cups - they're the first tea shop I've seen do this, and as someone who has a hard time choosing between flavors, this feature was a game-changer. It's perfect for indecisive people like myself! The portion sizes were generous, and the presentation was adorable - you can tell they put a lot of thought into every detail. For the price, taste, and presentation, this place is more than worth it. Plus, their menu has tons of options for dietary restrictions (such as dairy-free milk substitutions!) which is a huge bonus. They're also rolling out some new snacks soon, and I'm definitely coming back to try them. I have my eyes set on the sesame balls lol. The restaurant was super clean, and I noticed the staff was always on top of cleaning tables when needed. Wait times were fast, and the ordering process was smooth - you can choose to order on a kiosk or with a friendly employee. Overall, I would rate Duet Tea 10 stars if I could. Whether you're stopping by after grocery shopping or enjoying a quick break while out shopping with friends, this place is perfect for all ages. I'll absolutely be coming back again soon when im back in the area:) Bonus: they are pet friendly read more

Duet Tea is located in the Fremont Hub plaza with plenty of shared parking here. Pretty spacious inside and it is always nice to have new boba shops pop out to try. Ordering is through the kiosk, but one of the employee was friendly and welcomed us in. I ordered their Jasmine Green Milk Tea and Thai Milk Tea, both with boba in a split cup. I do enjoy the concept of the split cup - two flavors, one cup, but probably not worth what you get for the price. Also both their milk teas I tried are on the creamier side with barely any tea taste to it with a bit of a gritty aftertaste to it. Overall, 2 - 2.5 stars for the drink quality, but bumped it up to 3 stars for the employee that was friendly. read more
