I enjoy Tea Top's Fremont location and tried the Newark one a few times. I usually get my drinks less ice, less sweet, but the tea flavor is by no means watered down. The boba has the perfect texture and is lightly sweet. Service was fast, decent amount of seating, and employees were very kind in accommodating a last minute drink swap. Solid go to!
The trifecta milk drink has red bean, boba, and grass jelly. You cannot adjust the sweetness but honestly it wasn't that sweet. They have ac which felt so nice on a hot day! I saw a guy doing work there on his laptop so you can certainly do that. The staff were nice. I would love to come back and try their other drinks!
I rarely go to Tea Top because I never remember that they exist but every time I get a drink from here, I always wonder why because the drinks are solid. The workers (I didn't catch their names but it was a young woman and man) were so incredibly sweet with customizations and explaining different drinks since they have an extensive menu. Their drinks run a bit sweet even though I usually get 100% sweet at all the other boba shops so if you're similar, I recommend at least reducing to 80%. They're currently running a BOGO 50% M-W for the first 50 customers. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but it's definitely a great deal and I'll try to visit as often as I can. There are a few more boba shops opening on this strip, but Tea Top is a great location that you should try if you haven't.
This location is the closest to me and always have deals (B2G1, BOGO50%) the drinks always come in a large and they have a great variety of teas, milkteas, milkshakes etc. And their boba is always fresh, no complaints! Service is good too.
Got the Earl Grey Milk Tea w/ 3Q, but removed the grass jelly. Earl Grey is a rare find at milk tea shops so had to try. The flavor is very light, almost a little more watered down. Still enjoyable and the standard size is pretty large. Nothing stood out with the boba and lychee jelly, but I did like the combination with the tea. Price is reasonable compared to most places these days. Vibes felt very nostalgic and simple. They have a student discount for 10% off and a punch card system as well which is nice. A bit far from my location so may not go back but I did enjoy and did think it was worth for a standard simple milk tea.
Final Thoughts: 2.00/5.00 After dinner, my friend and I went to get boba at the shop a few doors down. Perhaps we should have chosen somewhere else. My friend said that his coworkers will go here sometimes and they seem to like it. To each their own. I have personally had better, but I'll try anything once. Overall, will be a 2 star for me today. Drinks: Matcha Latte: 1.5/5 Very interesting how this place has fairly high marks and reviews. Maybe because their other drinks are better? I chose this drink today because I've very much gotten into matcha. This drink was not for me though. First look gave me that sense too. Lovely layering, but it was when it was mixed did I really see it. My one note is the amount of milk that is added to this drink. When it comes to matcha drinks, I find that less is more with the base. This drink just had so much milk and ice at the bottom and it completely dilutes the matcha. Had this matcha been in a little less milk, it may have been better. This also dulls out the color of it and makes the drink itself unappealing when it's mixed. This drink is super grainy at the bottom and I tried to mix it more, but that really didn't help. Sweetness was alright. Again, flavor of it was just the milk, so I can't say too much of the matcha since it drowned out. Grapefruit Green Tea with Crushed Ice: 3.0/5 This was my friend's drink and I tried it for my review purposes. This was the better option of the two. The grapefruit and tea drink itself was very refreshing. Sweetness was good. Something about the crushed ice made it better. I honestly don't think this drink would be the same with the regular cubed large ice. The crushed ice was also mixed in with the grapefruit pulp at the top too. I like that addition of the grapefruit because of it's natural flavor and that texture from it. Grapefruit can be slightly bitter, but I actually like it that subtle bitterness with the sweetness and tartness in it. The green tea is a good option to have with think drink because it's very light and doesn't overpower the remainder of the drink. Sweetness was good for me. Definitely more of a passing drink than the drink option that I chose today. Menu: Good enough variety Again, looks to be your standard boba shop menu. There are a fair amount of items on their menu for you to choose from though. Perhaps their fruit teas would have been the better option for me here. I thought my friend's drink was really refreshing and appropriate for the weather at the time. --------- Quality: So-so The matcha really doesn't look like my ceremonial grade matcha powder. Slightly oxidized and dulled out green color. This might be because it looked completely diluted, but maybe not. What gets me was how grainy it was too. Now, looking at my friend's drink, I liked the grapefruit pulp and the use of the natural fruit inside the drink. So, will depend on what you get and your preferences. Price: Average Truly your average Bay Area prices for these drinks and what they are. The price will range from $5 to $8, so really within that standard boba drink price here. Service: Friendly They greeted us when we walked into the shop and they were also really quick to make the drink. I noticed the person making the drink come to the front too to see what we would order and he started making it right after we paid for the drinks. Loving the quick service. There wasn't many groups ahead of us, so he was able to do this. I'm sure they try their best to keep up and make it quickly to order though, which I appreciate. Ambiance: Standard boba shop The interior is giving your very standard boba shop and smell. There are a few tables on the side and the counter on the other side. I think this would be a nice studying stop or charting spot because it seems very peaceful. Location/Parking: Long Plaza; Optimal Parking Spaces This area is on Cedar Blvd. The plaza itself is quite long and made up of sections of buildings. All of it seems to be connected though, so there are parking spaces. Doesn't seem like it was super super saturated of an area during the time, so my friend and I were able to park close by. I really don't see parking being too much of an issue though.
TeaTop is a nice boba shop in a plaza with many other Asian restaurants, making it the perfect snack or dessert shop after a meal. I couldn't resist trying a drink and picked up the Panda Milk Tea, since it was on a 15% discount. The boba was fresh and just the right texture, not too chewy and not too hard, but at 30% sugar was a still too much for me. Upon leaving, I noticed that the staff member never applied the 15% discount promotion that they had going on. Rather than calmly correcting the error, he made the most disgruntled face and opened the cash register, flinging a couple coins at me - nowhere near 15%. Although I enjoyed the boba and would have liked trying the next drink at 0%, I'm turned away by the rude interaction with the staff member. +1 for the boba, though, because that was genuinely good otherwise.
My go-to drink is #19 Signature Alpine Green Milk Tea because I really like the tea flavor. It seems unique because I haven't seen this tea name in other stores before. I like how the cashier always offers a stamp card without me asking. The stamp card is only for this Newark store, and it is buy 10, get one free. Based on going here more than four times in the evening, there is lots of empty seating inside, and it was easy to find free parking in the lot. Definitely coming back here again to try other flavors like Sun Moon Lake Milk Tea and Winter Melon Alpine Green Tea.

Coming in with fresh made tea from leaves procured from Taiwan, TeaTop is making an impression. The tea is flavorful and the toppings are always fresh. They have a variety of toppings and are available to sample if they're new to you. The boba is chewy and made fresh. If caffeine is not your cup of tea, then you'll be happy to hear that they have a variety of non-caffeinated drinks including slushies and juices. Also fear not lactose-intolerant friends! All their milk items are lactose free! Now if you're adventurous, you'll be surprised to hear that they host a number of specials each month at a discount. Speaking of discounts, they have some other deals including buy two get one free Wednesdays and Fridays and bring your own (BYO) cup discount. The discounts come in handy given that the drinks here are slightly higher priced than other places, however the size of the standard drinks and the quality makes it fair. It's extremely comfortable to hang out here as they have plenty of clean seats and booths, free wifi, air conditioning, a working bathroom, easy parking, quick access to the highway and personable staff. Located just across the street from New Park Mall and Newark Memorial High School, you have no reason not to come give TeaTop a shot! Overall, I enjoy their tea drinks a lot and the deals are great incentives to bring a friend with you in your milk tea exploration. If they were open earlier, they may even rival the Starbucks across the street in the morning!
OMG, first time here. Ordered #8 without Peal milk tea with red bean. Excellent. Perfect in sweetness. Parking a little cramped and its right across from Starbucks. Also #6, earl grey milk tea for my partner. Will come back if in the area.
With signage up about their origins from a premium tea brewing business, I expected my drink to have high quality tea taste to compliment fresh fruit flavors. This was sadly not the case. I ordered the Passion Green Tea Medley, which I had high hopes for as it is listed as one of TeaTop's top 10 recommendations. The drink comes with lychee jelly and boba, which was very competitively priced for the size of the drink at just $5.95. Despite the aforementioned items, I found the drink to be too artificially sweet even at 30%. And the passion fruit taste to be artificial, rather than deriving from fresh passion juice. Overall, I found the drink just be to okay. There are definitely better options in the highly saturated boba market throughout the Newark/Fremont area. The shop itself is located at the tail end of the strip mall, on the quieter side.

We stopped by to get boba since we were in the area and I liked my Pearl milk tea drink. It tasted pretty standard and what I expected. I thought the sweetness level I got (I think half) was nice and not too sweet. The boba was nice and chewy. I would get this again! They were also doing first 50 customers of the day from M-W gets 50% off the second drink to celebrate their 5th anniversary so that was a nice touch! read more
There are so many tea shops in the Bay Area, and Tea Top is very similar. You can customize your drink, specifying sugar level and toppings. Today we got.... + Signature Alpine Green Tea with boba - this was quite good with a hint of green tea flavor. + Peach Tea - refreshing To me it's just another typical tea shop, which isn't a bad thing. Was looking for a boba spot/something sweet after having dinner in this plaza and TeaTop was just about to close. They have a wide variety of drinks and toppings, as well as games and seating inside. Lately green milk teas with boba have been my go to and they really have been giving me a caffeine boost and keeping me awake when I need it. So I got their Signature Alpine Green Milk Tea with boba, less sweet with less sugar. I really enjoyed it. The workers were very kind, quick, and friendly. Nice spot to hang out with friends, I also like how they post their top drinks on the menu and the walls. My friends got some other drinks that were also really good. Something with egg pudding and red bean. Parking is super easy since it' located within a shopping plaza. read more

Love this spot its one of my go toos i live how they have the card stamps for this visit i got thai tea 50% sweet and honestly it was pretty sweet for being 50% next time i would go 30% but that was probably because i added boba and grass jelly to it overall it was yummy and so is there other drinks ive tried other times! Service is quick and i love how drinks are made pretty quick and right away too, very welcoming! read more

Got the oolong tea with fresh milk. I like how the taste of the tea blends well with the milk and I could taste the flavor of the tea. Good quality tea. I had it with less ice and 30% sugar and it's perfect for me. I wouldn't want it in to be sweeter as the boba, which had a great chewiness to it, was already made sweet. I don't do well with caffeine but I could still sleep after drinking it at 3pm. It's nice to hangout here with free wifi and spacious tables read more
Was in the area doing errands & wanted a refreshing drink. Quick service & pretty good drinks. Ordered my usual jasmine milk tea (I order this everywhere I go as a baseline) and got red bean matcha which was pretty good & pretty layers. Downside, no snacks. Prices are comparable to most boba places but when tax is added, it's on the pricier side and even cost more than my Starbucks drink! I'm not from East Bay so I'm not used to the higher sales tax rate. Since this place have minimal seating & most folks prob don't sit/dine-in, no hot foods, they should ask customers "for here or to go" as sales tax not due for "to go" drinks. It may be easier to charge sales tax on all sales but not easy on customers' wallets as this establishment probably does not qualify under the 80-80 rule of sales tax like McDonald's charging tax on all sales even on a McFlurry, but like a ToGos/Subway/deli places that doesn't charge tax on cold sandwiches togo. read more
This is a great spot to stop by if you're in the area or just had food nearby. My go-to drink here is their Earl Grey milk tea, the tea flavor really comes through, and the sweetness is just right. I also tried the milk tea with red beans, and while it was decent, I probably wouldn't order it again. Can we make it a rule that boba tea places have a menu that list out their top 10 popular drinks to narrow down your options? First time visiting TeaTop and would definitely try additional options. From their Top 10 I choose the #9 Grapefruit w/ green tea and crushed ice. It comes in a large cup with grapefruit pulp and green tea. You can choose your level of sweetness and toppings. They had mango pudding! Which I haven't seen before but didn't feel like it would've been a good option for my drink, but boy do I want to try that for a future drink. The green tea was refreshing and brewed well and they provided a light amount of ice which I actually appreciated as it kept my drink cold but didn't become a filler for my drink, I had a lot of grapefruit pulp and tea in my cup. The inside has a few seats but customers were mostly grabbing it to go. Our drinks came out pretty quick too! Worth a visit if you want to try a different boba spot. read more

Almost forgot to leave a review -- and that would've been a crime, because this place seriously deserves it. Hands down, this was the BEST tasting boba I've ever had in my life. I'm not even exaggerating -- I've had a lot of boba, but nothing even comes close to this. If you're reading this and thinking about what to order, do yourself a favor and try the pearls matcha latte. It was spectacular. I mean, it's the kind of drink that makes you want to stare into space and rethink your life decisions because nothing else you do today will top it. Also, I have to give a huge shoutout to a young man named Christian who helped me out. He was seriously awesome -- super friendly, super patient, and clearly knew his stuff. Christian deserves a raise, a medal, and maybe even his own holiday. If there were an Employee Hall of Fame, he'd be the first one inducted. It's not every day you find someone who makes the whole experience even better with just how genuine and helpful they are. Bottom line: If you're craving boba, this is the place. If you're lucky enough to have Christian help you, consider it your lucky day. 10/10 -- would recommend to everyone, their mom, and even their neighbor's cat. read more

Teatop was pretty good. The staff was nice and they're hella attentive. I ordered just a mango black tea. There's hella parking and it's close to newpark mall. I sat in the back and they had wifi and enough seats. It's weathered a bit, but it doesnt stop it from being good. read more
Debated between Taro Milk Tea and Sun Lake milk tea, went with latter because more uncommonly seen tea option. Order: Sun lake milk tea, with pearls, 30% sugar, no ice. Stamp card available. Pearls were right chewy consistency. 30% still bit sweet. Will try the taro milk tea next time and go for 0% sugar. read more

Stopped by here on a Saturday evening since we were in the area for a birthday party. Located in a shopping village, parking was easy to find. I ordered the usual Earl Grey 3Q milk tea and it was on point! Sweetness and ice level was accurate in my opinion. Service was friendly and I didn't have to wait long for my drinks. The shop is cozy yet spacious inside and there's a few tables to sit and enjoy your drinks. It's pretty clean and looks well maintained. I would totally be back if we are ever on the Fremont/Newark side again! read more
They have a lot of posters showing their taro vs other places' taro and I was sold. What I didn't realize is that it's a taro milk tea, not a pure taro drink. It was a happy accident because their taro milk tea was delicious. Even with no sugar adjustment, it was the perfect level for me (not overly sweet; you could still taste the tea underneath). Boba was cooked well. The price is very good for what you get. read more

We just have whole milk but for our milk teas we use a non dairy creamer. You can always ask the staff about these questions and we will be happy to answer.

Does TeaTop do catering? I come regularly and wanted to order a large quantity or drinks for my daughter's birthday.
