Rolled ice cream is so cute and very good quality ice cream. I was surprised about the quality of ingredients and ice creams were large for the $14 pie ice tag a pop. We had the strawberry matcha , the raspberry ice cream, and the cereal killer with Cinnamon Toast Crunch mashed in. Very yummy. We will be back for special occasions. But they do them all one and a time so if you are in a hurry, please be patient and kind.
We love rolled ice cream, but this place was ok. There was one staff member. He was phenomenal. He never looked irritated when all the customers came in. He served each person with respect. The reason I wouldn't recommend it is the taste. We got boba and I was ok. It was more sugar and the flavor was decent. We alsongot a rolled ice cream and that too was ok. Not sure what was missing, I been trying to pinpoint it. Just cannot. Overall go to try and let us know what you think. Maybe my taste buds are different. Lots of the younger kiddos came. So maybe its a high school hangout.
Came here with some friends and omgggg ! We got the avocado and thai Tea and matcha ice cream and it was honestly amazing!!! Service was great and it was super clean inside the place . Would definitely come back.
Icicles has been a pretty solid spot here in Newark. The ice cream is always on point for the most part. I have had some issues in the past but they fix it right away. You have to order on a kiosk as soon you walk in. There is staff there but they are busy working. Last week i did try and greet a staff member and he just looked at me and didn't say anything. Maybe he was busy, but greet the people when they walk in. Make recommendations do something. The ambiance was ok, they have a rope partition in the middle of the store for people not to get close to the glass. All in all, the ice cream always hits here.
This is an amazing ice cream shop to go to! The way they make ice cream is different. So basically, they handcraft ice cream by making individual twists. You can also add toppings and drizzles as well. Some toppings cost additional 75¢ and all drizzles are 50¢. It's expensive here due to how they make the ice cream and possibly the size of it. You can see workers make ice cream in front of you. It's not like any normal ice cream shop you go to. Also, there weren't many people when I came in, but it's most likely because they order it through the mobile app. Really looks nice inside, but I think it could be improved.

The toppings selection is great. They also have Gulab Jamun Flavor which I will try next time. 4. Attached is the picture of what I had 5. With Tax its pricey and came to like $15 but I cherish the experience and the staff works hard for making the icecream. 6. I love the simplicity of the ordering system. 7. Only feedback to the store wish you can keep one picture of each of your offerings.
I haven't been here since the lockdown, so it's nice to know that it still tastes delicious. You order from the kiosk and they'll call you when ready. I got the bravocado. Tastes delicious, but...it already melted by the time I got to the car and we didn't even park that far away. My husband said they probably didn't roll it long enough on the metal pan. The avocado they used was not ripe. It was really bitter and had a plasticy texture. I avoided the avocado bits so I could eat the icecream and toppings.
Business was very slow on a Wednesday ordered Thai Tea Rolls with CheeseDice it was not bad, not overly sweet! perfect for my liking
First time trying Icicles and I have to say it was pleasant. There's a small kiosk right when you walk in so you can order at your convenience, there's music and a small machine game in the corner to keep you occupied. (The machine was out of order when we went but it looked fun). They have a leafy panel wall with neons in the back which is a perfect spot to take a photo of your order, or even a fun selfie. I ordered the s'mores ice cream option which came with a toasted marshmallow on a pretzel Stick. It was light and delicious but a bit difficult to eat with the plastic spoon they provide. Very nice first experience here!
I love the strawberry fantasy here. It's my thing that u get here and highly recommend. The service is slow if u go in peak hours (sunny day/night weekends). The ambiance is just ok. They don't have tables. So you don't get to just hang out here. But it's my icecream spotbin Fremont/Newark.

Perfect cold, smooth treat for the hot days recently. Like some other ice creamerys the ice-cream is made "fresh" on a stone slab allowing for fresh ingredients and combos to be mixed in a la carte and you get that distinct super soft aerated ice cream like at Coldstone. I was wondering why ice cream tastes so much better when prepped like this and I think its because the add-ons aren't frozen and their taste and texture isn't deadened if it was all pre-made, frozen, and scooped out. The curled shape also makes it very easy to eat with a spoon cutting easily through the ice cream. Strawberry fantasy: strawberry icecream with condensed milk and crumbled graham cracker. The crumbs give it a nice crunchy texture and the condensed milk makes it more creamy and rich than just normal strawberry ice cream. Nutella n Chill: nice mix of banana and nutella with graham cracker. Got this for my wife because she liked nutella but I forgot she didn't like banana in ice cream but ended up well because more for me :)

We went here as a group on a hot sunny afternoon hoping to come out refreshed. Unfortunately they were not allowing indoor seating so that was a bummer for the kids. We ordered different flavors and since the process making each order is slow and tedious, the time to be served seemed very long. The flavors were there but with the toppings, this became a high calorific event. And then the price! $12 for each order of ice cream! A few of us chose to forgo our favored flavor and compromised to share an order by splitting the ice cream. Though I can attest portions were huge. Do not know if we would want to come back for their ice creams. Only time will tell
My boyfriend and I decided to try Icicles for the first time, and needless to say, it was amazing! We ordered the Nutella N Chill, which comes loaded with bananas, brownies, cheesecake, chocolate, and more. It was easily one of the best desserts we've had in a long time! The service was great, and the staff was very friendly. The shop is a little hidden, but it's definitely worth seeking out. If you're craving a delicious ice cream dessert, I highly recommend giving the Nutella N Chill a try. We'll definitely be back! read more

I feel like this place was only okayyyy. You go up to a machine to order, then you get a ticket with a number. It was small inside. Only a few tables. One worker. He made our rolled ice creams. He was pleasant. I think it was over priced. I got coffee flavored with nuts, cinnamon toast crunch, and chocolate chip toppings. The rolled ice cream just tasted so mehhh. Tasted like freezer burn. And the cinnamon toast crunch was a bit stale. read more

A least favorite icicles location. It's small with some tables. And it was a bit busy. We came after a birthday celebration. There were several workers but for some reason they all didn't seem to want to be at work. They were not so attentive and a bit rude. And it seem to be a wait for someone to start orders of everyone there. Even tho we enjoyed our order, it's not a location I'd frequent. read more

After lunch kids wanted to have dessert & close by so we choose Icicles , we have never been to Icicles so was looking forward.... We choose - STRAWBERRY FANTASY Fresh strawberries mixed with graham crackers and our classic custard base mixed to form this wonderful fantasy for your taste buds. We did a split so that kids can have without wasting. We added strawberry popping boba. NUTELLA & CHILL The perfect way to chill out. This great play on words with a great blend of flavors starts with custard base blended with bananas, graham crackers and Nutella. We added chocolate syrup as topping. BAESIC For those that want a simple flavor, try original vanilla custard and added Lychee as topping. ALL FUDGED UP If you love chocolate, then you've got to try blend of caramel cups, chocolate, and brownies. We added chocolate chips & chocolate syrup. GULAB JAMUN - It's Indian sweet They smashed 1 Gulab Jamun then added the custard base & blended it. We added caramel, almonds & chocolate syrup. Overall it was a fun experience but it was tooo much sugar..... I think I would go for strawberry fantasy next time. read more

It was our anniversary and after a great sushi dinner we craved ice cream but guess that everything closes by 8:30 or 9:00 PM and so we just googled and saw this place is open till 10:00 PM, what a joy. We came and gave our order without delay as we were second in line. After that it was nice to see how they make their ice cream and roll it, an art in itself. They are also very creative in their options on the menu. We loved it and the service is great and they often ask you for toppings and suggest you too as what's their famous and most likely items from the menu. A new place to go now. read more

So I wander into this empty shopping mall looking for something interesting on a warm day. I find Icicles. Rolled frozen dessert with toppings! Well, let's try something new! I order something safe and familiar, vanilla custard and strawberries. Every order is poured out onto the frozen pan and rolled into beautiful swirls. Placed into a paper bowl and you add toppings. I wasn't going to mess up the true flavor, so I just put chocolate on it. I can always come back again for something more sophisticated. Incredibly good and retains it's icy state. Doesn't melt immediately like ice cream. The flavor is fresh, no overload of sugar. A unique frozen dessert. Located in Lions Food Center in Newark Free parking read more

AHHHH Icicles! I was introduced to this place by my cousins. I've heard of it and never found time to go but I'm so glad I finally did. If you know me you know I love Nutella and Ferrero Rocher and so when I was reading the menu and saw the Ferrari I knew I had to get it! The ordering process is pretty easy you order which ever icicle you want and then you wait for your name to be called. Once it's your turn they prepare your icicles for you and at the end ask if you want any toppings. There is an array of choices so it can be overwhelming however I personally love the Ferrari just the way it is! The staff is really friendly and efficient. Can't wait to come back! read more
ICICLES IS SO GOOD!!!!! I am so damn late to this party!! Frozen custard with UNLMTD MF TOPPINGS!!! WOW, that is something I can't turn donw!!!! Toppings are endless and you can everything your heart and tummy desires! The custards are kinda pre-set but you could add some toppings to mix into them as well. (i.e chocolate custard with bananas mixed in, then UNLMDT toppings afterwards) I have a picture of their toppins menu and their pre-set custards. I eneded up ordering the TEAS ME - green tea and thai tea frozen custard with my UNLMT toppings. It was soo good and IDK why I havent been here since they have been here for so long. DEF a fan and will be returning to get my sweet dessert fix on!!!! read more
