The space is really clean, I loved the design and seating area. The coffee was PHENOMENAL- like... one of the best I've had in a LONG time. I keep thinking about it. I got the purple moon and I like that the milk alternative is already in the price which is reasonable and standard price I feel. Next time I want to try the popcorn chicken. I've had a wonderful experience at the Campbell location, so I was looking forward to my visit to the Fremont cafe this past weekend. I had been here before when it used to be the Fremont Food Hall, not too long ago. The place looks pretty much the same. They have self-order kiosks, but other guests were super slow ahead of us, so the staff took our order at the counter on the right side (there are three front counters total). Service was sufficient, and our order took about 10-15 minutes to be ready. My bf and I were able to enjoy several items in their indoor dining area on a Sunday morning. Hot coffee (americano), iced chocolate milk, smoked salmon chowder, avocado toast with the egg cooked overeasy, and the BAE area breakfast sandwich minus avocado. Overall our items were okay, but a far cry from the quality we experienced at the Campbell eatery. And with the prices we paid, it didn't feel like the value was quite there. The chocolate milk was weak on the chocolate flavor, the chowder stock was thick and tasted somewhat generic, and the bae area sandwich had less of every ingredient compared to the version I had in Campbell. Particularly, the eggs were flat and the bacon was hardly noticeable. It wasn't bad, but it was a little disappointing. I went in the morning to try the B.A.E Area sandwich and Guava Matcha Latte to earn a sticker for Fremont Restaurant Week. The barista was kind to help at the register even though she was on the phone for a bit when I walked in. She was nice to bring the sandwich to my table including napkins. The B.A.E Area consisted of bacon, avocado, and soft scrambled egg with a side of spicy aioli sauce, which is not too spicy. I ate without cheese and mayo to cut calories and it was still good. I feel like it would've been cheap like Jack in the box since it's not organic. The guava matcha was still sweet when I asked to lower the guava syrup, but it's still have the matcha taste and not watery. This was a surprising find! Happened upon this location walking the area, I'll be honest it looked just okay from outside. But the vibe inside is really good. It's spacious and there's ample seating, spread out. I'm considering this to be the location for my book club because it's also right next to a bookstore. My favorite part is that they have setup a good area for kids with many books- this will be a perfect spot for mom & baby dates. A very thoughtful touch. I ordered cortado. Me and my boyfriend went here on a sunday afternoon just to have a little snack and it did not disappoint. First impression, very busy for a sunday afternoon at 4pm. The cafe is pretty spacious and very modern. The mochi donut appears the sell out fairly early on the day since I noticed the register for it was already closed. Even on their online the mochi donut was sold out. I would suggest they add outdoor seating since they actually have a good amount of outdoor space outside. Especially this coming summer, the outdoor seating would actually be nice especially since it can get crowded inside the cafe. I ordered the guava matcha and my boyfriend ordered at banana matcha. Both drinks were really good and very refreshing and not overly sweet. I like the bits of banana and guava in the drink and the banana matcha tasted really fresh. For snacks we ordered the popcorn chicken and I ordered the spam sandwich. I didn't like the egg on the spam and it did take them a little long to make the sandwich. I do think the the popcorn chicken was a little on the pricier side for such a small amount but it definitely as good and it had basil leaves. All in all, great selection, and great tasting drinks. This is long overdue I came here back in February to try their winter hot chocolate drink, I'm not sure if it is still on the menu. But just by looking at their menu they have a variety of drinks to choose from along with food items. I did not get to try any of the food however, the drinks we ordered were the marshmallow hot chocolate and the banana bloom. The drinks were good just nothing that stood out to us. I did appreciate that the hot chocolate was not over bearing and too sweet. The sweetness from the marshmallow fluff was enough for me! On one hand I really appreciate that there was ample banana and avocado in the drink but it was somewhat coagulated at the bottom/sides of the cup and harder to drink through the straw with the actual liquid. TLDR; coffee is pretty good, definitely worth a visit for some unique treats and flavors. So I've been here twice now. The biggest issue is the way it's set up when you walk in. There's like 3 different counters cause it was originally meant to be like a food hall with multiple pop-up shop kind of things. Anyway, you can pay at one of the counters with a person or the quick way to order is on the touch screen kiosks. Most recently I ordered an ube iced latte. This was pretty darn good. The ube is lightly sweet and nutty, it complimented the coffee well and made for a mildly flavored latte. I personally enjoyed that it wasn't overly sweet and would come back for this! I've been here previously and tried the mochi donuts as well as the black sesame latte which were good. I enjoyed the chewier texture of the mochi donut and the flavor was good. But I love a classic cake donut so I'm not going out to my way for that item. I'll probably bring my son soon to try one of the fun corn dogs! Go to the kiosk, order food+drinks, and the wait was under 10min - honestly impressed because it was pretty busy as well. I enjoyed the food - got the Spam.i.am and the Taiwanese popcorn chicken and it was delish! The popcorn chicken could have had more flavor though. But overall - yummy snacks! There are various other types of snacks, so I suggest trying them out. Next time, I'm coming here to chill with my laptop and "work from home" - that's the kind of vibes it gives here too. I was curious to check out their asian inspired lattes. I got the golden hour which had mung beans infused into the drink. I got my latte hot and was creamy and good. It didn't taste much like mung beans except for the few pieces at the bottom of the coffee. It was a tad sweet for me -- there wasn't an option to adjust the sweetness level. The order process is on a kiosk. You assign yourself a number placard and they call out the number when your order is ready. The cafe was spacious and a decent amount of seating for smaller parties. Basically, Fremont Food Hall was rebranded to STARDUST Coffee House. It's better that way because it makes every food vendor really fall into that restaurant since all their blinds share the same logo. However, they didn't abandoned the vendor names like Smochi. Two other vendors share the same menu. Also, the menus are different now.It seems that most drinks that I used to order there are replaced with new ones that I've never. They slightly changed the interior. I like how they got rid of those large kiosks that are sitting at the left and renovated that section with furniture that seems to be looking like a waiting room. Everything else is mostly the same though. Not really many people here though as usual especially now that it's Thanksgiving Day. I got Rice Dog and Purple Moon. The rice dog tastes the same as before but it's only slightly different because I asked for powdered sugar sprinkled on top. The purple moon tastes similarly to the ones that I had before the place gets rebranded. I also thought that they serve rice plates too, but I don't think I see them from the menu? I might have to check back again or online. Overall, it's not much of the big difference. They only just rebranded the place and the menu. Like I said, there's not many people whenever I visit. The so called Honeydew coffee labeled with "fresh honeydew" in the ingredient(on the kiosk machine) turned out to be just powder.... I was not expecting to take my first sip and my mouth was hit with CLUMPS of undissolved powder. The coffee has no honeydew flavor and just tastes starchy. I couldn't even finish the drink. I just feel lied to and using powder as a substitute should not be labeled as "fresh honeydew" on the kiosk ordering machine. This used to be Capture Coffee in that whole Food Court thing they used to have. It completely changed into Stardust Coffee. They don't have that spot for Korean corn dogs, but Stardust still offers them. This place has plenty of seating to just hang out, but if you're there to do work, keep in mind that they don't really have outlets. I only saw one, close to the register and they told me they had another on the far end, but there's not really tables there so that's a bit of an odd place to do work. They also have a sign about some sort of time limit to stay there, which I found odd because it wasn't even that busy at all. Maybe this is their way to basically say they don't want you to hang out and work. Makes me less likely to want to go back when they've got a limit though. The spam sandwich and tater tots were really good though. Coffee was okay. Not sure it's worth the price of the coffee though. I'm curious about the other food dishes, so I may come back to try a few of those. If you're trying to have a short coffee meetup with a few friends, I think this would be a nice place to go to, but I most likely won't make this a re-occurring place to visit. read more
