Southern Salad

I came to this place because it was very convenient when we're at Kaiser. The staffs were nice --very empathetic to cuatomers. Even got free cookie for waiting awhile for my order. The food was delicious and we'll buy here again.

Finally got to check this place out, and I'm so glad I did! The staff was super friendly and welcoming right from the start. We tried the Italian flatbread and the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The flatbread was really good flavorful, light, and the perfect size. It looks big in photos, but it's actually pretty thin, so you don't end up feeling overly full. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasty, though I personally wish it had regular croutons instead of the sourdough bread pieces they use. Not really my thing, but others might like the twist! I'd definitely come back to try their sandwiches next time. Only downside is the parking, it's mostly street parking near apartments, so finding a spot can take a bit. But overall, great food and great service!

I love being able to walk toward the Fremont downtown area and find good eats. Sourdough & Co. is right across from Kaiser, a few shops down from Starbucks. Easy to get to if you're in Central Fremont. It's a quick turn off Walnut. If you're hankering for a good sandwich, soup or salad, this just might be my favorite spot right now for such things in this city. The Creamy Tomato soup is the best I've tried around here. The sandwiches are solid. The salads are fresh. The Mac & cheese is just your standard, nothing out of this world, but sometimes you just need Mac & cheese in your day. Their sourdough bread just might be one of my faves. A bit of snap on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect! It's a small shop but it's very clean and perfect for that quick bite or pick up to go when you need sustenance. I'll be coming back again and again!

Located across from Kaiser Hospital-Parking in front or side of building. Great 1st time experience for lunch. Lines get long, so order ahead if on a time crunch. Took less than 10min for 2 orders before the crowd . Very nice guy, manager ? -Omar took our order and brought our Meal to table. Ordered 4" Turkey pesto & coworker got the chili bowl. My sandwich was very good, toasted sourdough, smidge of mayo & sliced tomatoes, lettuce, good amount of turkey. Lil side of dipping sauce. Chili bread bowl was perfect temperature, chili spices were good. Good amount of beans to meat. Extra chili in container to refill your bread bowl. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal & lots of seating indoor or outside to eat at location. Will return.

First time at a Sourdough and Co. The owner was so nice, gave us suggestions and explained the quality of fresh ingredients. Tried the Pepper Turkey w. Swiss, have to say will order again. The house salad is crisp and made to order with generous portion. Try the jalapeño ranch! Ordered a small Mac and Cheese, it reminded me of Home Town Buffet. Still good just a moment of nostalgia. The cup of Clam Chowder was delicious, served hot and is hearty. Final touch was a freshly baked cookies. The establishment is clean, the team members are proactive and engaging in the dining area with guests. My husband wouldn't share his French Dip, he was afraid I'd inhale it. We both agree, we'll be coming back.

New location! I was able to get an upgrade, chips and drink free by downloading their app. Cashier was nice and had no issue claiming my reward. Sandwich was made to order. Turkey & Ham with toppings of my choice and a pickle on the side. Hope this place last. Their sandwiches are amazing!

Small BLT which was half a sandwich

Service can be slow even when ordering ahead of time. They are often busy. I didn't realize that a small sandwich was basically half a sandwich on wheat bread. Creamy and yummy potato soup. Amazing sourdough!

The bowls are ridiculously tiny for $10, unless they accidently gave me the cups instead of bowls.

Location is near the Mirchi cafe on Fremont Blvd in the plaza right next to Wonderland smoke shop. There is plenty of parking. Staff was super nice and helped me open the stuck door that you have to pull really hard on to get in. The market is small but curated and I was drawn to the imported potato chips. I picked up a bag of Lay's Masala chips I haven't had since I was in Mumbai, excited to eat it with my sandwich. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to make and panini-press and smelled delicious. However, when I got home I immediately noticed the color and thought they had mistakenly used roast beef. I looked at some of the other reviews and their doordash image and I'm confused on what I got. The pastrami was missing the distinct reddish-pink color from brining and black bark from smoking, I'm not sure how it was prepped in-house but it tasted like roast beef. I did enjoy the blueberry jam and pepperoncini combo.

I walked into this deli today hungry and wanting something very simple: a turkey sandwich on whole wheat. Instead of being greeted by a person behind the counter, I was directed to a kiosk. The kiosk was surprisingly limited and frustrating to use. I could not find an option for a basic turkey sandwich without scrolling through a long list of pre-built combinations that did not work for me. There was no easy way to customize and no visible option to simply order something straightforward. What made it worse was the complete absence of human interaction. There was no opportunity to ask a question or clarify an order. It felt transactional in the worst way. I was not alone. The couple next to me also gave up and left without ordering. We all walked out without ever speaking to a single person. If you are going to replace staff with kiosks, at least make the system intuitive and flexible. Sometimes people just want a simple sandwich and a quick, human exchange. I ended up leaving hungry and disappointed..

It was easy to order the free steak and cheese melt. Got my receipt and waited for my name to be called. It got kinda confusing because they were calling many "Mikes". I ended up waiting close to 20 min for my sub because although I told them my name was "Michelle C." they kept reading it as "Michael C." so I didn't think it was me. Since it was my first experience here, I wasn't sure how long it usually took for one to be made. Eventually I walked up and asked if they had called "Michelle" and they said no until I looked at the bag on the counter and it was my name. It had been sitting there getting cold the whole time. Not the best first impression but still appreciate the free sub!

Portions are huge and one sandwich is plentiful which can be easily shared among two people for sure. Nowadays, the experiences aren't the same anymore and perhaps, it's been under new people management or something. It's been lacking some logistics and sometimes, it's difficult to hear the order being called out while lots of customers are inside. I told the front staffs that I wanted my portobello chicken sandwich $15.99 and the watermelon beverage $7.99 for here/dine-in. I even left them over $3.50 tips here. While everyone else picked up their orders very fast, mine was stuck somewhere in between others. They all got table numbers except me. I even asked if I needed a table number since I was planning to dine-in, but nobody answered or wanted to respond. They were too busy preparing sandwiches. Wait time to receive order was a bit over 15 minutes. I ended up standing around waiting and waiting, thinking about why I even tipped the place when my anxiety levels were escalating. Without a table number, how would they even know which table outside to deliver my orders to? Portobello chicken sandwich was very good though. Ingredients are full. Ciabatta bread was huge. This thick sandwich can definitely feed two people. Watermelon beverage tasted good too. Tables weren't all wiped down outside, but I can see the few employees hustling and bustling. It's still a strange feeling to not have a table number assigned to me while others did have one. Overall, sandwiches are still good and portions are generous. People love coming here. I think the staffs need more management briefing. They are all hardworking, but the front counter service leaves an impression and feeling about the overall experiences here.
