Usually I like this place. Today there was 4 people working. I was one of two in the restaurant. They also had two pick ups. However today I ordered at 2:30 and at 2:55 I'm still waiting for my order. I guess because I didn't tip ahead of time (I usually do that after I get my food.) So frustrating. Seriously I'm just sitting here watching two go on break and then two half heartedly working on my two sandwiches and one salad. Ugh. This location is a disappointment. If you're a manager you need to get your team to step up their game. I came on a Monday at 2:30. And it should not have taken this long. Eventually got it at 30. minutes after I asked when it would be ready and how long I had been waiting. No apology just saying they had other orders. Not sure I want to come back to this location.

Nice restaurant near Hayward BART. Parking available and no wait for a weekday dinner. I got the pesto turkey sandwich which was delicious. Nice sourdough sandwich. Lots of seating available but the music is a bit too loud.

My wife and I wanted to try a new sandwich spot and we are so happy we gave this place shot. The young man who took our order was very patient with us. The restaurant (including the restroom) was super clean. The sandwiches are delicious and the prices are reasonable. I can't say enough good things about our experience. We'll definitely be back.

I got the #5. Soo good!

Went there on a rainy day with the Hubs and it was quiet. They had 2 other folks do pick up thoigh. Place clean and spacious tbh. Staff was some young men. Super friendly and informative on the sandwiches. It was our first time. I got the #5. It was stuffed just right! Flavors was amazing and so fresh! Clam chowder we got for babygirl was yummy with a side of sourdough. We will be back for sure!

Cholula chicken

This place is in a convenient location so I tried it after the gym. I ordered the cholula chicken sandwich. The girl taking my order almost whispered everything which doesn't work well when it's already loud in there. Wait time was ok. The sandwich itself had good flavor but way too much sauce on the outside of the bread which was soggy from it. I'll try them again another time and will update then. The selection of items is nice so maybe it was just a one time off. But overall the flavor was good.

Southwest chicken salad

Didn't want to cook on a Sunday night so my bf and I opted for the newly opened Sourdough & Co down the street. Place was empty which was nice, we thought we were going to get our food quickly, but that didn't happen. We ordered the southwest chicken salad, the Cobb salad and a bowl of veggie soup which came with some sourdough bread. Both salads were fresh but the soup was sadly cold. Also this was a "bowl" of soup which we initially thought was a cup. It was small! They must have been busy with delivery orders because we waited 15 min for our food. Inside was very clean and the workers nice and accommodating. I'd come back to try the sandwiches and cookies.

Good bread and flavorful but the sandwiches are overpriced for the amount of protein you get inside. They pile all the meat in the middle before cutting to make it look like you get a lot, but after a couple bites you're just left with mostly salad and bread. Also $1 for "1/4" of the tiniest avocado? My wife was wondering where her extra avocado was and found the tiniest slice just tossed somewhere in between the wrapper and sandwich

#8 Pastrami & Turkey 8"

With so many locations around it was nice to finally get a taste of Sourdough & Co. sandwiches. We ordered 3 sandwiches so it took a while, especially since we wanted them warm. Orders: French Dip-Pretty sparse on the meat, but bread was fresh #8 Pastrami & Turkey- I really appreciated the pastrami not being overly salty & it was a perfect balance with the turkey. Bread was fresh & crunchy. #13 Garlic Pesto w/turkey- this sandwich didn't have much garlic paste & it had a very light pesto ailoli flavor. I was a little disappointed, so I would try another sandwich next time.

We were having a lot of people over to our house to watch the playoffs and we wanted to have a good variety of foods. These sandwiches were incredibly popular and very tasty. I put the box down and stepped away briefly to get my cell phone to take a photo and already more than half of the sandwiches were GONE. The box of 12 or 13 sandwiches came well packed and in a recyclable box that you could use to display the sandwiches too. This box of individually wrapped sandwiches was affordable and great for a big party. This was the first time that I ordered from them, but it was so easy and the sandwiches were popular with everyone (kids, adults, and old people alike) that I know I will definitely be ordering more from them in the future. I also want you check out the clam chowder in the fresh hot bread bowls. The service was also great. Their pickles are my favorite kind too, crisp and dill - YUM!

Our 2nd visit was last Friday, March 21. My father, cousin and I all ordered the clam chowder with mushroom flatbread and cookies for dessert. The food was served warm and tasty. We still plan to return. The sourdough is baked to near perfection. I can't remember the last time I had bread this good. The service has been friendly and answered all our questions. The tables are clean, everything looks new and taken care off. Parking can be hard since there are apartments, a gym, and other retail locations nearby. We have only ordered for our table and have not tried food to go. Maybe next time, but we still enjoy eating at Sourdough & Co and will continue to do so for awhile.

Chicken & artichoke sandwich

How convenient to have this sandwich shop next to the gym. Super new location, so not a lot of foot traffic from what I could tell. Service was very friendly, menu easy to read, and food was quick and tasty. I got chicken, but ANY sandwich will be good with that superb sourdough bread. Don't skip on those spicy pickle chips either - might be some of the best ice ever had!

Wina B.

I ordered 9 Artichoke Chicken Flatbreads for a work meeting, and overall, they turned out fine--though some could've used a bit more chicken and artichoke. I also added a spring salad option to each order for an extra $1 per flatbread. However, when I picked up the order, all of the salad portions were combined into just one container. I asked about it, and the staff member told me it was combined because "it only takes a handful for each one" and I opted for it on the side. I didn't have time to address it further, as I was heading straight into the meeting. Before the meeting started, I tried to "sprinkle" the salad among the flatbreads myself, but there clearly wasn't enough--barely enough to stretch across eight boxes. It was honestly a bit embarrassing to present them like that. Thankfully, everyone enjoyed the flatbreads. But still, charging an additional dollar per flatbread for such a minimal amount of salad, and then combining it into one container, was disappointing and felt misleading.

I love all places that have a theme that sets them apart from other establishments. Especially ones that have names for their menu items that are jovial. There's ample seating and the place is fun inside, with comic books on the walls, toys displayed and bright colors everywhere it really gives a burst of dopamine when you come in. We were greeted initially by the gentleman at the counter. He was super friendly and asked if we had any questions. Idk bout yall but when we go somewhere and the person refers to you as "boss" you can kinda feel the vibe that you're gonna get good service. And it was exactly spot on. The dude helped us with questions we had and after ordering let us know he'd bring our food to us. We waited a couple mins and our food came out! Initially my first thought was "damn, they're not stingy with their portions here!" We opted for the Goku fries and a regular Deadpool sandwich. It being our first time we wanted to try different flavors. BRUH, that food smacked SO HARD! We slammed everything and kept saying, wow this is good. The ingredients were fresh, the green sauce (whatever it is) was delicious on our sandwich! We will for sure be back & tell all of our friends about this place!

We tried the Ed Edd and Eddy and the Mr. Burns. Both were really good on Dutch crunch. We also customized our sandwiches by adding pickles, banana peppers and onions. We'll be back to try their fries and other sandwiches.

But don't think there are multiple locations...yet. Upon receiving my sandwiches, it was wrapped in a paper with their company logo, and from a quick glance it is super similar to the Jersey Mikes logo in terms of color, so it has a real familiar vibe. No hate just an observation. This used to be another restaurant (maybe even several) on the edge of an industrial zone/business park, but also not too far from several shopping strips. There's spacious seating inside, but in the later afternoon when I went, nobody was eating in. But quite a few take-out and third party pick-ups. I even saw a poster showcasing their catering aspect for common work lunches on the company dime. Good for them. Niles Canyon ($14.50/4*) I opted to up this to their combo meal which includes a bag of chips and a soda for another $5. So this was easily a $20 lunch meal without tipping yet. Pricey yes, but not because they are pricier than most, but that is just the going rate for eating a meal outside these days. $15 - $20 per person are common and anything under $15 is now considered cheap eats and getting harder to run into. This sandwich had slightly warmed up deli turkey that when stacked with the swiss cheese slices, kinda softened the cheese. It wasn't ooey gooey but the cheese wasn't firm and cold either. There was another layer of prosciutto as well which wasn't too noticeable but did add another dimension. I chose to go with the full produce choice, as I love the freshness of veggies to go with meat sandwiches. There was also a layer of fresh avo slices which lent a creamy richness to the bites. I tried one of their sliced breads to go for this sandwich, as I tried a sourdough roll for another sandwich that I got to-go for my work lunch the next day. That way I got to sample their bread offerings. Their sliced marbled rye bread is thick sliced, very soft and moist with a good bread chew. They use a good bread supplier for sure. On top of mayo and mustard which is common, they also put their Bomb Sauce which seems like a garlic-y spread of sorts. I can definitely smell it, but the taste isn't overly strong. I'd say super similar to Mr Pickles. Prosciutto Sandwich ($13/4*) This was an all-cold traditional sandwich. I took a couple of bites there to see how it was fresh from the counter, and I ate the rest the next day at work. I gotta say I liked it better the next day as all the flavors melded more together. Even tho the veggies get a bit mushier, I've always liked a well dressed salad sensation in sandwiches, kinda like a Muffeletta sandwich where it is refrigerated overnight, meant to be eaten the next day. Their prosciutto isn't the old school imported version, or at least I've never had one quite like it. I'm assuming a domestic version, even seemed more like cappicola to me as I sensed a tinge of fennel up in there. So pretty satisfied with my first visit. I'll definitely get sandwiches here again for work or day trip lunches. Pretty much on the same level as Togo's or Mr. Pickles, but just more local. With sandwich names as The Quarry Lakes, The Decoto and The Dumbarton, just pulls on my local lovin' heartstrings. Props.

Regarding the viet coffee, this one was particularly strong, with a definite higher proportion of coffee to condensed milk that doesn't offend but also risks being a bit TOO strong (wild to say that when all viet coffee at its core is strong). Overall, it's conveniently located, but I think I might prefer to go further south for something with a more balanced taste profile.

We noticed two self-service ordering kiosks to the right but decided to check out the menu board and salad case first. When we were done, the cashier asked if she could take our order. That's always my preference over poking buttons on a impersonal screen. We placed our order, paid, and stood aside to wait. My name was called when our order was ready. It was bagged and ready to go. We thanked the cashier and went home. Normally, I'm not a sandwich guy. Today, after working outside in the sun, I was hungry and had a craving for something filling and cold. Macaroni Salad was on my mind. I looked that up on Yelp and Bara's was reasonably close. I also saw a Shrimp Salad that looked pretty good online. When we arrived home, I proceeded to take pictures of our meal. Sigh. Instead of Macaroni Salad, we got Potato Salad. Not quite the same. A quick peek at my receipt and I saw that the wrong key must have been pressed. I should have checked my receipt after I paid. The cashier should have repeated the order before sending it. The Potato Salad didn't satisfy my craving for Macaroni Salad, but I wasn't about to drive back to exchange it. The flavor was unique though, in that it had a cheesy flavor. The Shrimp Salad was not good. Flavor wise, it was okay with a little bit of heat. But texture wise, it was a mess. If Shrimp was supposed to be cooked for two minutes and then dropped into an ice bath, these had been cooked for four minutes and not iced. They were cooked to death. I got a Bay Area Special with Swiss. It was okay. A ton of meat, not so much on the veg. I would prefer more balance. But overall, it was pretty good. She got The Gobbler. She also felt that the meat overwhelmed the veg. Additionally, the cranberry sauce was overwhelmed by the cream cheese. We came, we saw, we ate. It'll be a long while before I go after another sandwich.
