The corndogs are my favorite item from the menu and a must try if you haven't yet. I like the smoothies too. They offer sandwiches and other hot foods too. Menu isn't big but for a quick bite, La Ca Bakery is great!

This is what happens when a Lee's sandwiches goes out of business and others buy it up and try to keep the sandwiches and expand the menu to include trendy donuts and foods. This place is still busy and looks to be making a lot of money

A lovely eatery literally. It's reasonably priced with great food at good prices. I got Donuts coffee & bacon/egg/cheese croissant sandwiches. I'd never been, but noticed ppl frequent this place a lot as I saw 5 ppl come for pick up/pre orders meaning they are legit and good to go.

I was at La Ca Bakery & Cafe to buy 2 Banh MIs for Lunch. After ordered my 2 Banh MIs for Lunch!!! Then I saw that they had 3 Fruity Pebbles Mochi nuts Donuts in the Display case .. That's when my Sweet Tooth kicked in !!! So I brought 3 of the Mochi Nuts Fruity Pebbles and Wolfed them down like a Sugar Junkie and Washed them down with my Coconut Water!!!! They were Delicious !!! Service was Good and Fast !! Place was Fairly Clean . I received my 2 Bahn MIs and rolled home!! I ate my Banh MIs when I got home. They were Good!! Well Constructed and a good Mix of Ingredients!! Flavors were there!!! For all these Reasons. This Is A Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment!!! I Keep My Pimp Hand Strong !!!

I went to CSU East Bay for an orientation when my family and I stumbled on this absolute gem in Hayward. We literally dream of their banh mi! Straight when we walked in, we all loved the vibe of the cafe - it was spacious with cute yellow walls and mochi donuts on display. I got a grilled chicken banh mi and a boba drink, and both were delicious. However, they have many options like the aforementioned mochi donuts, K-dogs, and other desserts. My family tried their other banh mi and loved it - they had nice moisture from what I'm assuming is a nicely buttered roll, fresh vegetables, and well-cooked meat. Not to mention, the portion is pretty sizeable. The servers were nothing crazy - just the normal amount of helpful and patient, which I always appreciate. Either way, I always make it a point to come back to this place when we're in the East Bay - such a great spot!

This place is delicious. It's also Mochinut, an Asian style bakery selling these cool looking donuts. I ordered the bowl with shrimp and pork. Delicious with the peanut sauce and vegetables. The place is trendy and the service is pretty fast after you get your order in. My only complaint is the portions are small for the price of $14-$16 per bowl or entree item.

Ordered a dozen mochi donuts online 3 days prior. The order was ready via text message and pick up was easy, showed the order confirmation to staff. The restaurant was clean, spacious, and combined with another snack restaurant. The mochi donuts were so cute and with the decorations, warm, crispy, and not too sweet which I love. I'm not a huge sweet fan but I'd come back for these.

Still plenty of boba with the right amount of ice

It smelled funny when I first walked in (like a plumbing issue and the wet rags used) and it was dim inside. OFF DAY haha I've been here before so... but today I was sooo justified with their viet coffee; their fresh and chewy honey boba. Lately places haven't had the boba correct or not at all. I took 3 big swigs and I still have boba!

If you're here for coffee, try the Tiger Oat Latte! I think they have some chocolate in it which adds a nice taste to this coffee. Matcha Mist has coconut water and it tastes so refreshing- highly recommend! The area where customers sit could need a little cleaning. Other than that, place has lots of snacks and mochinut items.

A little jack of all trades type of store. Thus can't be expecting a particularly stellar kind of food. But does get you a quick fix for your cravings, just not satisfying Falls short of expectations for $9. Comparing to the prominent banh mi store in SJ. Thin meat slices, over flowed with butter/mayo.

Review #879 Posted on 4.26.25 I came to get some dessert & decided to also grab a coffee with boba, ube foam, & cheese foam too, on Saturday the 26th. This spot is located on Amador St in Hayward really close to the 880 highway, & Jackson St exit. It's directly across the street from the Safeway shopping center on Jackson right off the exit. When you come inside, you notice that these 2 spots share a location, you get the best of both worlds here, what's great is you can order from either menu and combine items from either menu and pay together. La Ca has tons of different stuff. Vietnamese sandwiches, coffees, with toppings options, IE bobas, foams, jellys, etc. They also have breakfast sandwiches w eggs, bacon, etc, & lunch sandwiches like turkey & avocado, tuna, roast beef, club, etc. Really nice options here.

The Korean corn dogs here are amazing! They are always hot and fresh. Each bite you get the perfect crunch and softness from the bread. The mozzarella cheese is incredible and if you love a good cheese pull this is the perfect food to get! The hot dog is also good! The best way I can describe the taste is like a Costco hot dog. The service here is fast and you get your order in 5-10 mins max!

I love all places that have a theme that sets them apart from other establishments. Especially ones that have names for their menu items that are jovial. There's ample seating and the place is fun inside, with comic books on the walls, toys displayed and bright colors everywhere it really gives a burst of dopamine when you come in. We were greeted initially by the gentleman at the counter. He was super friendly and asked if we had any questions. Idk bout yall but when we go somewhere and the person refers to you as "boss" you can kinda feel the vibe that you're gonna get good service. And it was exactly spot on. The dude helped us with questions we had and after ordering let us know he'd bring our food to us. We waited a couple mins and our food came out! Initially my first thought was "damn, they're not stingy with their portions here!" We opted for the Goku fries and a regular Deadpool sandwich. It being our first time we wanted to try different flavors. BRUH, that food smacked SO HARD! We slammed everything and kept saying, wow this is good. The ingredients were fresh, the green sauce (whatever it is) was delicious on our sandwich! We will for sure be back & tell all of our friends about this place!

We tried the Ed Edd and Eddy and the Mr. Burns. Both were really good on Dutch crunch. We also customized our sandwiches by adding pickles, banana peppers and onions. I believe the sandwich comes with the standard lettuce and tomato. Easy place to grab a solid sandwich in my opinion. Can't go wrong with any of them. We'll be back to try their fries and other sandwiches.

But don't think there are multiple locations...yet. Upon receiving my sandwiches, it was wrapped in a paper with their company logo, and from a quick glance it is super similar to the Jersey Mikes logo in terms of color, so it has a real familiar vibe. No hate just an observation. This used to be another restaurant (maybe even several) on the edge of an industrial zone/business park, but also not too far from several shopping strips. There's spacious seating inside, but in the later afternoon when I went, nobody was eating in. But quite a few take-out and third party pick-ups. I even saw a poster showcasing their catering aspect for common work lunches on the company dime. Good for them. Niles Canyon ($14.50/4*) I opted to up this to their combo meal which includes a bag of chips and a soda for another $5. So this was easily a $20 lunch meal without tipping yet. Pricey yes, but not because they are pricier than most, but that is just the going rate for eating a meal outside these days. $15 - $20 per person are common and anything under $15 is now considered cheap eats and getting harder to run into. This sandwich had slightly warmed up deli turkey that when stacked with the swiss cheese slices, kinda softened the cheese. It wasn't ooey gooey but the cheese wasn't firm and cold either. There was another layer of prosciutto as well which wasn't too noticeable but did add another dimension. I chose to go with the full produce choice, as I love the freshness of veggies to go with meat sandwiches. There was also a layer of fresh avo slices which lent a creamy richness to the bites. I tried one of their sliced breads to go for this sandwich, as I tried a sourdough roll for another sandwich that I got to-go for my work lunch the next day. That way I got to sample their bread offerings. Their sliced marbled rye bread is thick sliced, very soft and moist with a good bread chew. They use a good bread supplier for sure. On top of mayo and mustard which is common, they also put their Bomb Sauce which seems like a garlic-y spread of sorts. I can definitely smell it, but the taste isn't overly strong. I'd say super similar to Mr Pickles. Prosciutto Sandwich ($13/4*) This was an all-cold traditional sandwich. I took a couple of bites there to see how it was fresh from the counter, and I ate the rest the next day at work. I gotta say I liked it better the next day as all the flavors melded more together. Even tho the veggies get a bit mushier, I've always liked a well dressed salad sensation in sandwiches, kinda like a Muffeletta sandwich where it is refrigerated overnight, meant to be eaten the next day. Their prosciutto isn't the old school imported version, or at least I've never had one quite like it. I'm assuming a domestic version, even seemed more like cappicola to me as I sensed a tinge of fennel up in there. So pretty satisfied with my first visit. I'll definitely get sandwiches here again for work or day trip lunches. Pretty much on the same level as Togo's or Mr. Pickles, but just more local. With sandwich names as The Quarry Lakes, The Decoto and The Dumbarton, just pulls on my local lovin' heartstrings. Props.

Parking is always tight in this plaza, but I got lucky on a Saturday afternoon. Bara's was poppin when I walked in. Ordering is quick, the menu is extensive, but the man taking my order was so patient. I went with their Bara's combo special with all the fixin's and had to get their dutch crutch. I love that you can choose the bread, and the Bara's combo is great since you can choose your meat/proteins. Turkey and roast beef were juicy and flavorful. Plus their meats are all halal! Every single ingredient was fresh and high quality. The flavors were unmatched. And the bread was perfectly airy and crunchy, without scraping my entire roof of my mouth. It's embarassing I used to get Ike's when there's sandwich spots like Bara's. They have a whole drinks section, chips, and an open deli display case. There's tons of inside seating, great for coworkers, families, or solo dining. No outdoor seating unfortunately. Most of the waiting time is after you order, so allot a solid 15mins, even if you're just waiting for your one order. Bara's is also Palestinian-owned. So not only are you getting a delicious, HUGE portion'd, but fresh meal, you are also knowingly pouring your hard earned money and labor into supporting a local family-owned business. We noticed two self-service ordering kiosks to the right but decided to check out the menu board and salad case first. When we were done, the cashier asked if she could take our order. That's always my preference over poking buttons on a impersonal screen. We placed our order, paid, and stood aside to wait. My name was called when our order was ready. It was bagged and ready to go. We thanked the cashier and went home. Normally, I'm not a sandwich guy. Today, after working outside in the sun, I was hungry and had a craving for something filling and cold. Macaroni Salad was on my mind. I looked that up on Yelp and Bara's was reasonably close. I also saw a Shrimp Salad that looked pretty good online. When we arrived home, I proceeded to take pictures of our meal. Sigh. Instead of Macaroni Salad, we got Potato Salad. Not quite the same. A quick peek at my receipt and I saw that the wrong key must have been pressed. I should have checked my receipt after I paid. The cashier should have repeated the order before sending it. The Potato Salad didn't satisfy my craving for Macaroni Salad, but I wasn't about to drive back to exchange it. The flavor was unique though, in that it had a cheesy flavor. The Shrimp Salad was not good. Flavor wise, it was okay with a little bit of heat. But texture wise, it was a mess. If Shrimp was supposed to be cooked for two minutes and then dropped into an ice bath, these had been cooked for four minutes and not iced. They were cooked to death. I got a Bay Area Special with Swiss. It was okay. A ton of meat, not so much on the veg. I would prefer more balance. But overall, it was pretty good. She got The Gobbler. She also felt that the meat overwhelmed the veg. Additionally, the cranberry sauce was overwhelmed by the cream cheese. We came, we saw, we ate. It'll be a long while before I go after another sandwich.
