Haven't been here in a while, but the food is just as good as I remembered! Great flavorful broth, good texture on the noodles. Piña colada smoothie is good if you like sweet like me. Service was great they always came to our table to make sure our waters were full and they were really friendly. Restaurant is clean and updated with all the needed sauces on the table. Great selection on the menu. Prices on the higher side for a pho place but its okay its all worth it

Excellent service! They were slightly busy but we were still seated right away, ordered fast, and our food came out fast as well. We were seated and done eating within 30 minutes. The prices were very reasonable as well. It's located on a semi-busy street but there is parking near. I highly recommend coming by!

There's a small parking lot so you can park there! People leave quick whether they're getting takeout or eating indoors so there's usually plenty of parking. There's only one waiter working who basically does everything but clean, since another older employee does that. Be patient! If you order a drink, it'll take a while because he was the only one making them. However, I got an avocado smoothie and it was definitely worth it! It is not too sweet! The pho came out within 5-8 minutes after I ordered. The chicken rice noodle in beef broth was the perfect temperature because I love my broth HOT! There was not a lot of chicken pieces but that's ok. There was a good amount of rice noodle and I was pretty full! You walk back up to the register and pay. They accept credit card. There's a restroom in case you need to know. Will definitely come again if I'm in the area!

The pho was good only reason I'm giving 3 stars but this is my second time and the chicken wing are so dry and the batter is so thick you don't get to enjoy definitely serving old chicken or need to change up the recipe and rice looks good but no flavor what so ever

There food is so good and delicious and they have good drinks too and the engross are so delicious

Pho Tai has always been consistent. I remember when they first opened a while back. When my family is in town, we usually go here. I ended up getting a number 6. The broth is good and the noodle portion is decent! The meat portion is a little small, but it doesnt matter because it's overall decent. Inside is small, but the windows make it feel hella bigger than it is. The place gets pretty hot, but they usually open the doors for the breeze to come through. All the servers there are pretty nice and I think they're cool. Parking is a bit rough, but you should be able to secure a spot.

We got here and we were hungry, but everything we ordered was not good. Noodles are so hard, even the shrimp eggrolls are hard, meat are hard w the Pho soup, the lobster were so hard too! Like what is going on w this place?, the first time we came here was last year and it was decent so that's why we came back. But tonight, will be the last time we will be here. And strongly don't recommend for any of u guys to come here, it's a totally and completely Ripped off and waste of ur hard earned money! Smh, very disappointed.

I don't have much to say about the place, the food was good and service was quick. The portions were alright, the place is clean.

Pretty good for a Vietnamese restaurant near my house. We ordered pickup and doordash. We had the combination beef pho, bun rieu, beef stew, chicken fried rice, and bun Bo hue. The bun Bo hue does not taste like legit bbh so don't get it. The broths are just a bit salty but just add a bit of water and it'll be good. The condiments seem fresh. They also have fresh wide flat pho noodles, but are pricey and they don't give much noodles. Will try other items from their extensive menu.

Fast and easy pho fix. Got the pho tai. It's decent when you're in a rush. Staff is nice and friendly.

    Barely anything and old lime

Wow this what you get for a large three meat balls and barely any meat and noodles. Barely any bean sprouts. The lime was old. I even called but she she said yeah thats what you get. For total 18.82 im never coming back. You cant even share it.

Integrated into downtown Hayward just a block from the theater and other eateries and drink spots, Khao Hom has made a strong impression in the local community drawing a good following for weekend brunch as well as weekday lunch. With street parking right in front as well as sharing free public parking in the lot behind the restaurant, once you've slogged through traffic to get to this area, you'll be able to easily park and venture in for your food experience. As you enter, you'll likely need to wait for one of their staff members to seat you in one of their two dining spaces. The rooms are well lit and enhance the ambiance of your meal (and photos) with natural lighting. When seated, you'll get their food and drinks menu in addition to finding their dessert menu at the table. As standard, each table gets a carafe of water for you to serve yourselves. Their menu is quite extensive in representing popular Thai flavors with a bit of flare. You'll find curries, soups, noodles and chef specialties in their own sections of the menu. They also have some alcohol infused drinks for those looking for a full brunch experience. As a novice to some Thai dishes, I did have to ask the staff to explain a bit about certain dishes, but there were a few that caught my eye and never let go. Thai tea - flavorful and bold; rich but not too sweet Matcha latte - rich matcha flavor and creamy; best sipped and can be packed in a to-go cup if you don't finish Tom yum crab omelet - beautifully crafted omurice-esque dish where you'll find white rice encased in an egg omelet topped with succulent pieces of crab meat and smothered in tom yum soup. This dish is not only a pleasure to look at but the taste and textures in each bite will have you salivating for more until the dish completely disappears. This unique take is a must get for first timers! Roti gai tod - crispy fried yet succulent chicken served with a small serving of creamy yellow curry, white rice, and a roti alongside their delicious chili sauce. Fantastic balance of textures and flavors will have your tongue dancing from the spices. Tom kha soup - a bowl of comfort with a whole lot of shredded chicken, red onions, and mushrooms with a few big quarters of fresh tomatoes. It's not as creamy as I would like but the flavor is there with its abundance in lemongrass. The portion is large as one order can easily split into two bowls. Fried ice cream - a meal topper and sweet indulgence for those looking to try something new and rarely found elsewhere. This giant meteorite of a breaded and fried ball of vanilla ice cream is topped with chocolate fudge, powdered sugar, a generous helping of whipped cream and plenty of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, grapes, and cantaloupe). Definitely shareable and a surprising star of their dessert menu - they could definitely do more to advertise this! The staff were super friendly and quick to take dirty dishes out of the way. They kept the place clean, served the food promptly and treated all of their customers with respect and smiles. Top notch crew from the front of the house to the back. Furthermore, should you need the restrooms, they do have two gender neutral rooms that were decently maintained. Overall, Khao Hom is not your everyday Thai restaurant nor is it your run of the mill brunch spot - this is a unique experience with food created out of passion to merge these together. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet hunger extinguishing meal that will have you discovering new flavors and craving for more. With its proximity to the city center, it's a great a spot to plan out a lunch or brunch before a nice stroll around or a movie. Thai food has never looked and tasted so good!

My partner and I usually come for the basic comfort items like Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Lao Sausage, and/or their sampler. I may be critiquing them harder than others on their papaya salad and Nam Khao because my mom does it best (no bias...). However, their portions are large and the flavors are great all around. I think they do some items better than others, but I have yet to be disappointed by any of their food. It's always great to try something new on the menu and be pleasantly surprised. But aside from the food, the customer service and ambiance encourages us to come back every time. They're kind, patient, and attentive all around. Whether we're just picking up food, dining in at peak times or during the quiet hours, they always deliver a great experience. Their dining room is fairly large and they have a softer lighting that compliments that TLC decor well. Through and through, Chai Thai is consistent and reliable.
