This was our first time at this Erik's Deli location and thanks to Kedar (sorry if I'm misspelling your name), we would probably drive from Fremont to here the next time we crave our "Natural High" sandwich. Even though we got here near closing time, we were greeted nicely and felt welcomed. Kedar, helped us taking and making our order. We ordered our usual "Natural High" sandwiches and this time by far after 20 years was the most beautiful perfectly prepared sandwich and worth a fantastic review. THANK YOU Kedar!!!

We ordered delivery and the food came to us wrapped carefully and packed with care. All three sandwiches, Erik "berger", Ciao Down, and Chicken Durango came with toasty bread and incredibly tasty meats, cheeses and clover sprouts. I also tried the macaroni salad which had a good tangy vinegar bite. A delicious experience.

This Eriks is pretty clean and located across from city hall. When I came in, the person working greeted me and was hella nice. He looked busy, but made time to address me which is hella cool. I ended up ordering and got my food pretty quick. The sandwich was good no complaints. Pretty cool place, stop by if you're in the area.

Customer Service 1000% FOOD 9/10 This place is so clean and the vibe is so kind. I have ordered from here about 10 times now for my lunch at work and the staff is honestly the most kind and considerate place Have EVER BEEN TO. I found out this place is actually family owned and I think you can tell they really care about their business and their customers. Every time I call or order through their app and something is wrong ... they fix it. Pronto. No stress no worries they just fix it. I'm actually excited to support this place and give them continuous business.

Erik's has quick service, and it's always a treat when you get street parking right out front. They have a bunch of tables inside for you to enjoy your food there. Erik's is on my rotation of lunch spots. They have quick and friendly service. Plus, you can order ahead on their app, which makes it easier and also earns you rewards. My go-tos are the Farmer's Market sandwich, house salad, and soup with one scoop butternut squash and one scoop veggie. I'm so fortunate that they accommodate this soup request. The Farmer's Market and salad is always fresh. The only downside is if you take it to go, sometimes the bread sticks to the paper, and your sandwich will have a hole in it This is not an issue with all sandwiches though, just this one. I also love that they give you multiple pickles with your sandwich and that they usually ask if you want them for the pickle haters out there.

Order a basic turkey sandwich with extra onions and sprouts...something off with this pic?

2nd visit to this location and tried something different. Turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch and a cup of chili. The chili remains on point but ended up finding out my sandwich was lacking. I understand it was busy at the time, which I didn't mind the wait, but to get back to my office and find my meal wasn't made to my request, It took away from the positive vibes I was starting to grow about this location.

I stopped here for lunch after getting my car serviced. I needed to waste some time. Eriks deli café was pretty good. Sitting between two other local businesses is Erik's deli. Clean and quiet, nice location. Upon entering, they had a nice little selection of parking, even though I did not have my car I did take notice. The place was clean and smelled fresh. The staff were so nice and patient with my indecisiveness. They had a nice selection of sandwiches and wraps along with food combos. I chose a sandwich and salad. My turkey sandwich was fresh and had plenty of meat and toppings. However, the condiments where a bit shy even after specifying I wanted extra mustard. It did make my sandwich a bit dry, but it was good nonetheless. My garden salad was delicious and super fresh. I loved it! There's nothing worse than finding brown lettuce Or soggy tomatoes in your salad. Not here! My vegetables and sprouts were super fresh and crisp. You can tell the staff takes pride in their quality of food and the prices were very fair. I will definitely come again.

This review is much overdue as Chai Thai Noodles has earned its spot into our Bay Area restaurant…read morerotation--usually our go to spot for the basic Thai food. My partner and I usually come for the basic comfort items like Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Lao Sausage, and/or their sampler. Occasionally we'd get their papaya salad, Tom Yum soup, or other entrees to share, but I do feel that they don't execute those dishes as well as the basics we frequently return for. I may be critiquing them harder than others on their papaya salad and Nam Khao because my mom does it best (no bias...). However, their portions are large and the flavors are great all around. I think they do some items better than others, but I have yet to be disappointed by any of their food. It's always great to try something new on the menu and be pleasantly surprised. But aside from the food, the customer service and ambiance encourages us to come back every time. They're kind, patient, and attentive all around. Whether we're just picking up food, dining in at peak times or during the quiet hours, they always deliver a great experience. Their dining room is fairly large and they have a softer lighting that compliments that TLC decor well. Through and through, Chai Thai is consistent and reliable.

I have always had fond memories of this place, even with it being constantly packed and busy, and with limited seating. I finally had the chance to revisit recently, and brought my husband along. We went on a Sunday, so it was inevitably packed. The parking lot is as crusty as I remember, but that's part of what makes no-frills, hole-in-the-wall restaurants solid. The ambiance inside is loud and cramped, but we were here for the food. Service was decent, all the servers were so busy taking care of everyone, I can only imagine the chaos in the kitchen. And hands down did the food deliver. The price of everything was reasonable, and the flavors were delicious. I went with the dduk bulgogi while my husband went with the mixed soondubu (medium spicy). The banchan variety was splendid, and honestly I couldn't choose a favorite. I loved the creamy potato and corn mixture, since that was unique. Sometimes restaurants skimp on banchan portions, but not here. My dduk bulgogi was packed with veggies, rice cakes, tender beef, and glass noodles. The broth had a good depth of flavor, and was not oily or rich. My husband's mixed soondubu was also delightful. I had a quick sip of his broth and it had a lovely umami flavor. The spice level was perfect. We did both wonder, however, why his bowl didn't come out bubbling while mine did. Regardless, it was still steaming hot. Both portions of soup were served with rice, and we thoroughly enjoyed taking our time savoring each bite. I dumped the remainder of my rice into the broth at the very end and that was the perfect way to end our meal. We are almost never in Hayward, since we generally frequent other parts of the bay, but I would definitely return and try some other dishes next time. Everyone always orders the seafood pancake (and a ton of people were when we went and it looked so good). Of course if I had enough stomach space, I would have ordered that too. Well that just means I have to go back, haha. All in all, don't let the location or exterior fool you. The food is solid and The Sister House is definitely one of my favorite Korean spots in the bay.

The broth is flavorful and seasoned to perfection. The soup is packed with meat and noodles. The spring rolls are fresh, the ingredients they use really make a difference in quality of the food. The fried potstickers are crunchy and delicious and the sauce they paired it with was sweet and balanced the flavor of the potstickers. We threw in the eggplant order because we wanted some veggies and something that didn't overtly threaten to numb our palettes and were very happy with that as well. Chicken was fried well and not dry at all which was a lovely experience. Fish was also flavorful and enjoyable to eat, although perhaps the least memorable of the dishes. I wouldn't NOT get any of the dishes again and might elevate the chicken as a must get if you're there for the a Szechuan experience. Well probably come back the next time we get a craving for that nummy feeling.

It seems like it's family owned and everyone knows each other so it was nice to support a mom and pop shop. As for the food, my only advice to the restaurant is to slightly grill your nem nuong a bit more and you got something that is nearly identical to Brodards. Im super excited to have found a place so close to home that can appease this fixing. Also you can ask for fish sauce instead of the peanut sauce if you're allergic. I didn't care for the bun with the hot dog or the other noodle dish. Later that day, my daughter mentioned she had found hair in a pork bun and that her cousin had eaten it. She also said every item he picked up had hair on it, which was disappointing. I didn't confirm this with my cousin, but it would have been helpful to have someone inform the staff. Fortunately, no one at our table found hair in their food, which was a relief. Overall, the food that I ate was fine, but I wouldn't make a special trip from San Jose to visit again...unless it's a fambam family treat.
