Love this cafe. I use to go a lot when I was taking some classes at Chabot College. It was a great hang out place to study back then. Now, it's just an awesome place to grab coffee and unwind. The staff are always so nice, and this time around we asked for our coffee to be put on a mug instead of "to go" cups. To our surprise, our coffees looked amazing. He was feeling very artistic that day Glad we decided to unwind and actually sat down after our 5 mile hike because heading here for coffee was such a pleasant reward. Tried this place for the first time recently - fairly busy, so I thought "must be decent". I ordered a medium iced matcha and a turkey pesto panini. Fairly priced: for a medium iced matcha, a turkey pesto panini & two Nutella sticks for my kids = $22.60 The matcha was good, they automatically sweeten it with brown sugar. The turkey panini was pretty good too. Basic, but good. The place looks okay as far as being well kept. Space to chill inside and outside. My only ick about this place is that there were flies flying all around inside, made it hard to sit inside and enjoy our food and drink. Service was also mediocre. When I found it the first time it was like a mirage appearing out of nowhere just when I was wishing for a coffee source to pop out. I made the mistake of putting off grabbing coffee ahead of our long morning drive for a basketball tournament and as we descended upon our destination (Chabot college) I could not find a convenient shop along our route - not even a Starbucks! All coffee shops that came up in our search required a brief detour off our route. And then I missed the turn into where we wanted to go and then - BAM! There it was - Eon Coffee - shining big and bright before me. We turned into the parking lot, walked in, and were instantly greeted by a big smile and a loud welcoming "Hello!" Not always what you get in many coffee shops and it put a new spring in my step. I got my special latte and didn't even have to wait more than a few minutes! Plenty of seating. I got the latte love - in English toffee flavor and my husband got a vanilla latte. The latte art was very cute and coffee was hot however I did not like the flavor in the latte love it was butter and artificial tasting. The vanilla latte was good. The place has a lot of seating and soft music so it's great for working. I was sad that they didn't give me a little biscuit with my latte like I see in the pictures. it was my first time coming here and honestly, I'm gonna say that it was a 10 out of 10 as soon as I walked in the guy at the front was super Duper nice I didn't get his name, but he was really really nice and the coffee actually turned out to be so good. I got the gingerbread latte and it's literally so delicious. At first, the coffee spot from the outside looks kind of like like maybe it wouldn't be too good but when you go inside, it's so cozy and people are studying and working, and you just feel cozy and at home and the coffee is also cozy and sweet yummy everything. Had to get some work done on a Saturday and Eon was a no frills spot to do that. I can't say it's my favorite cafe around but it does what it's supposed to do. Feed you, hydrate you, caffeine you, and help you get work done. I can't say it lacked but it didn't have bells and whistles one might enjoy if on a first date or wanting to gab with a gal pal. It's fine for it, but it's a bit more of a "workhorse" cafe to me. And there is a place for that sort of thing! Eon does that great! The cafe was clean with quite a few tables indoors. I noticed a couple tables outdoors, which was a nice option as well. What caught my attention was a few unexpected unsweetened iced tea options which made me happy because I'm a fan of unsweetened drinks. I also noticed some fresh salads. And the cookies I got were no frills but delicious. The staff was super friendly and helpful in describing my options to me so I could make a good choice for myself. There was no rush! They took the time to inform a customer and I really appreciated the kindness. The only drawback was that there weren't many outlets around so I was concerned my computer might run out of battery. Thankfully, the table next to the one plug in the area I was in was available to me. It all worked out. But if the cafe was super busy, that could have posed to be a problem. Located across a popular community college in the area, this is a prime spot for students who are preparing for finals or doing homework due to its location and free WiFi. When I went early during the weekend for a quick breakfast, there were plenty of open seats but not too many with a working outlet. I was helped by someone at the front, a friendly cashier. They have the usual coffee and tea options, as well as paninis for a quick bite. I got a chipotle chicken panini, which comes with a side of chips and a pickle. The sandwich was flavorful, and filling enough for a few hours. I did note that the water I got tasted a little funny, definitely had more of a tap water aftertaste but not a big deal. My coworker recommended we meet at Eon Coffee since it was in the same area that my dinner plans were in. It worked out perfectly since it was a laid-back, quiet, and spacious atmosphere. The cafe is quite modest and bigger than we expected. My companion and I came on a weekday afternoon since we were both working from home. There are plenty of tables inside and outside along with outlets and WiFi. Music plays a little loud so keep that in mind. The menu is posted with typical coffee and teas, specialty drinks, and food. Ordering is simple--done at the register and your name is called out when your item is ready. We found the service to be efficient. My companion and I had an Iced Matcha Latte with Soy Milk while my coworker got a specialty drink. The matcha was surprisingly good! It was sweet and creamy with the matcha being more of an aftertaste. It was good for the size and price point. My coworker said his frappe was solid. I'd try the other drinks here. For those in Hayward, I recommend Eon Coffee to study or work at. This is a one-stop shop for it all. I'm rarely in Hayward so don't see myself coming here often but I'd recommend it to others. I imagined this place gets busy during the school term. After a day of couple of classes students come to unwind before heading back home. Or if there is a test students come here to review and relax before taking their tests. The coffee is pretty good. Besides the Cafe Bianco I also drank the Cafe Mocha. The food at Eon Coffee is decent. There is a breakfast discount that includes coffee and breakfast panini. The latte's are pretty bad (I've tried them every way, hot, iced, seasonal flavors or plain, regular milk vs almond- all of them have been disappointing), but I can't speak for their other drinks. It's only redeeming quality is the sandwiches (egg salad is a favorite). Breakfast burrito is more of a greasy quesadilla- delicious and cheesy but not what I expected. Part of eon's charm is that it has a rotating menu of seasonal drinks for customers to try. My personal favorite during the fall season is their pumpkin chai. It's an absolute must for me! They have both indoor and outdoor seating which is great considering how busy this place can get. It's also a nice place to study. They have plenty of parking although sometimes getting in and out of the lot can be a bit challenging. Also, there's typically only one to two people working most times, so if you come during a busier time be prepared to wait a little longer. This place is worth the wait. read more

I always passed by this coffee shop from time to time and now it's finally great to experience what they have to offer. I came here with a good friend that was in town and saw how busy the rush was. I saw it was a pretty popular spot especially it being next to the local CC. It's a very small but cozy coffee shop with plenty of seats inside and outside as well. We ordered the Latte Love while my friend got the Italian Cappuccino. Both were very decent coffee and both had that strong quality coffee beans. They were both amazing and most definitely will get again. I also couldn't leave this coffeeshop without trying their paninis. We also got the turkey pesto and the chipotle chicken both had some insane cheese pulls! Both were pretty decent as well, can't really mess up at all. Out of the two sandwiches the turkey pesto was definitely up there for the both of us. Overall, I love my experience at Eon Coffee.
