I always used to love coming here for my usual Mexican mocha and a bagel with salmon cream cheese. Recently I went and I was charged the same price for the cream cheese as the bagel. I had asked if that was a mistake and the owner said it wasn't and that salmon prices went up.. to me that sounds like a bogus reason since the amount you get isn't even enough to spread on both sides of the bagels.

Review is based on coffee and not on smoothies/food. I went to Eon cafe late afternoon and it was fairly busy. Ample parking space. We got love latte and vanilla latte. Love latte had a very strong artificial taste from the syrup they use. I would avoid it next time. Vanilla latte was decent. Service was good, however the place seemed run down and not clean. They had good music playing, perfect for working. I would go back and give it another try since there are not many cafes in Hayward.

I came as they were opening. Nice dark roast latte to start my day. The coffee was made quickly and I appreciated that. They also have a food menu. Standalone store with inside and outside seating and a private parking lot. Please come and create your own adventure.

I got the latte love - in English toffee flavor and my husband got a vanilla latte. The latte art was very cute and coffee was hot however I did not like the flavor in the latte love it was butter and artificial tasting. The vanilla latte was good. The place has a lot of seating and soft music so it's great for working. I was sad that they didn't give me a little biscuit with my latte like I see in the pictures. The place was also not very clean when we went. I wonder if they were under staffed since we did go in Veterans Day. Either way, I would come back to try their other drinks.

I have drove by this place and never tried it til today. Nice coffee shop with many tables and chairs for meetings or just having coffee. There's tons of various coffee selection in their menu. They have awesome tentative service and the wait isn't too long for the coffee. They also have some selection of food and snacks to choose from. If you want a coffee shop to hang out in that isn't slammed and busy like other coffee shops EON is definitely the place to go.

I dropped in because I was already in the area picking up a mochi order, so I figured--why not grab a coffee? I love checking out new coffee spots, and this one immediately reminded me of the cozy cafes I used to frequent back in my SJSU days. Makes sense, since it's close to a local college campus. The parking lot was a bit busy (probably because of a flea market happening across the street), but the café itself wasn't too crowded. Service was quick and friendly. My husband got the caramel frappe, and I asked the cashier what he recommended. He mentioned the macadamia iced latte--said it wasn't on the menu board but super popular with regulars--so I gave it a shot. Later he mentioned he's more of a lemonade person than a coffee drinker, which honestly made me smile--recommend what you enjoy when people ask haha. I asked about the mulberry tea (which was actually what I had my eye on to begin with), and he said it was solid. Definitely going for that next time. The macadamia latte was... fine. Not bad at all, just not a standout for me. But I love the vibe of the place, and I'm excited to come back and try something new. Mulberry tea, you're next!

It's been a minute since I've been to Eon. Located across a popular community college in the area, this is a prime spot for students who are preparing for finals or doing homework due to its location and free WiFi. When I went early during the weekend for a quick breakfast, there were plenty of open seats but not too many with a working outlet. I was helped by someone at the front, a friendly cashier. They have the usual coffee and tea options, as well as paninis for a quick bite. I got a chipotle chicken panini, which comes with a side of chips and a pickle. The sandwich was flavorful, and filling enough for a few hours. I did note that the water I got tasted a little funny, definitely had more of a tap water aftertaste but not a big deal. Overall, the location, friendliness of staff, and price point would make this a cafe I would recommend to anyone in the area.

    Iced Matcha Latte (Soy Milk)

My coworker recommended we meet at Eon Coffee since it was in the same area that my dinner plans were in. It worked out perfectly since it was a laid-back, quiet, and spacious atmosphere. The cafe is quite modest and bigger than we expected. My companion and I came on a weekday afternoon since we were both working from home. There are plenty of tables inside and outside along with outlets and WiFi. Music plays a little loud so keep that in mind. The menu is posted with typical coffee and teas, specialty drinks, and food. Ordering is simple--done at the register and your name is called out when your item is ready. We found the service to be efficient. My companion and I had an Iced Matcha Latte with Soy Milk while my coworker got a specialty drink. The matcha was surprisingly good! It was sweet and creamy with the matcha being more of an aftertaste. It was good for the size and price point. My coworker said his frappe was solid. I'd try the other drinks here. For those in Hayward, I recommend Eon Coffee to study or work at. This is a one-stop shop for it all. I'm rarely in Hayward so don't see myself coming here often but I'd recommend it to others. Plus parking is free in their spacious lot being it's located off Hesperia Blvd.

Eon Coffee serves up some excellent specialty coffee. I ordered a cold brew (Dutch coffee), and it was delicious--refreshing, not acidic at all, and had a good, smooth flavor without that burnt taste you sometimes get at places like Starbucks. The atmosphere inside is cute and welcoming, with some tasteful wall decorations throughout. The people at the counter are super friendly, making you feel right at home. I didn't try any of their snacks, but they seem to have a good variety, including sandwiches and chips. If you're looking to get some work done, there's plenty of space to sit with outlets available. They even have a comfy couch if you're in the mood to lounge. Plus, there's lots of parking nearby, which is a big plus. The bathroom was just okay--nothing special--but at least it's there when you need it. They also offer free Wi-Fi, which is always a bonus. Overall, I highly recommend Eon Coffee if you're in the area!

COMMUNITY COLLEGE ATMOSPHERE I believe there are three things that make a college atmosphere: 1) campus 2) football stadium 3) coffeeshop. I don't know about the football stadium at Chabot College, but Eon Coffee is located across the street from the campus. I first came here on a Sunday morning to get coffee prior to getting brunch at another place. I sat outside enjoying my Cafe Bianco. That day was calm day. I imagined this place gets busy during the school term. After a day of couple of classes students come to unwind before heading back home. Or if there is a test students come here to review and relax before taking their tests. The coffee is pretty good. Besides the Cafe Bianco I also drank the Cafe Mocha. The food at Eon Coffee is decent. There is a breakfast discount that includes coffee and breakfast panini. Eon Coffee is another coffeeshop I can relax on the weekend mornings while taking in the college atmosphere.

This cute cafe has lots of options to choose from! There's a good amount of seating available and is quiet and tucked away. Staff was helpful, friendly, and quick. I thought it was cool that they have individual goods to purchase and take home to cook.

I ordered a cappuccino and it was delicious! The coffee was strong and I loved the art. The cashier was very kind too. They recently extended their hours to 8 pm.

    Easy to clean.

Large facility with great parking in great location, I just really wish they would clean it up a bit on the inside. There are stains all over the walls that could be easily wiped and the air vents are so dusty and gross. Cobwebs everywhere. Furniture is dingy. Front doors have been boarded up for months. Drinks are decent, and cashier friendly.

I love all places that have a theme that sets them apart from other establishments. Especially ones that have names for their menu items that are jovial. There's ample seating and the place is fun inside, with comic books on the walls, toys displayed and bright colors everywhere it really gives a burst of dopamine when you come in. We were greeted initially by the gentleman at the counter. He was super friendly and asked if we had any questions. Idk bout yall but when we go somewhere and the person refers to you as "boss" you can kinda feel the vibe that you're gonna get good service. And it was exactly spot on. The dude helped us with questions we had and after ordering let us know he'd bring our food to us. We waited a couple mins and our food came out! Initially my first thought was "damn, they're not stingy with their portions here!" We opted for the Goku fries and a regular Deadpool sandwich. It being our first time we wanted to try different flavors. BRUH, that food smacked SO HARD! We slammed everything and kept saying, wow this is good. The ingredients were fresh, the green sauce (whatever it is) was delicious on our sandwich! We will for sure be back & tell all of our friends about this place!

Regarding the viet coffee, this one was particularly strong, with a definite higher proportion of coffee to condensed milk that doesn't offend but also risks being a bit TOO strong (wild to say that when all viet coffee at its core is strong). Overall, it's conveniently located, but I think I might prefer to go further south for something with a more balanced taste profile.

But don't think there are multiple locations...yet. Upon receiving my sandwiches, it was wrapped in a paper with their company logo, and from a quick glance it is super similar to the Jersey Mikes logo in terms of color, so it has a real familiar vibe. No hate just an observation. This used to be another restaurant (maybe even several) on the edge of an industrial zone/business park, but also not too far from several shopping strips. There's spacious seating inside, but in the later afternoon when I went, nobody was eating in. But quite a few take-out and third party pick-ups. I even saw a poster showcasing their catering aspect for common work lunches on the company dime. Good for them. Niles Canyon ($14.50/4*) I opted to up this to their combo meal which includes a bag of chips and a soda for another $5. So this was easily a $20 lunch meal without tipping yet. Pricey yes, but not because they are pricier than most, but that is just the going rate for eating a meal outside these days. $15 - $20 per person are common and anything under $15 is now considered cheap eats and getting harder to run into. This sandwich had slightly warmed up deli turkey that when stacked with the swiss cheese slices, kinda softened the cheese. It wasn't ooey gooey but the cheese wasn't firm and cold either. There was another layer of prosciutto as well which wasn't too noticeable but did add another dimension. I chose to go with the full produce choice, as I love the freshness of veggies to go with meat sandwiches. There was also a layer of fresh avo slices which lent a creamy richness to the bites. I tried one of their sliced breads to go for this sandwich, as I tried a sourdough roll for another sandwich that I got to-go for my work lunch the next day. That way I got to sample their bread offerings. Their sliced marbled rye bread is thick sliced, very soft and moist with a good bread chew. They use a good bread supplier for sure. On top of mayo and mustard which is common, they also put their Bomb Sauce which seems like a garlic-y spread of sorts. I can definitely smell it, but the taste isn't overly strong. I'd say super similar to Mr Pickles. Prosciutto Sandwich ($13/4*) This was an all-cold traditional sandwich. I took a couple of bites there to see how it was fresh from the counter, and I ate the rest the next day at work. I gotta say I liked it better the next day as all the flavors melded more together. Even tho the veggies get a bit mushier, I've always liked a well dressed salad sensation in sandwiches, kinda like a Muffeletta sandwich where it is refrigerated overnight, meant to be eaten the next day. Their prosciutto isn't the old school imported version, or at least I've never had one quite like it. I'm assuming a domestic version, even seemed more like cappicola to me as I sensed a tinge of fennel up in there. So pretty satisfied with my first visit. I'll definitely get sandwiches here again for work or day trip lunches. Pretty much on the same level as Togo's or Mr. Pickles, but just more local. With sandwich names as The Quarry Lakes, The Decoto and The Dumbarton, just pulls on my local lovin' heartstrings. Props.
