A great mom/pop coffee shop to get some computer work done. It's located across the street from a community college, so it may not be the best time to get work done there during exam season. I had an iced vanilla latte and a hot turkey pesto sandwich. I will likely have a cold sandwich next time instead as it looked more put together. Friendly service. I randomly yelped coffee on my way down from Marin to Fremont and this location popped up with excellent reviews! Located really close to the mall and right off the highway which was so convenient. I decided to order: 1. Mocha Frap: Delicious and perfect amount of sweetness. I don't like my coffee that sweet and it was perfect. Good mocha flavor but not cheap chocolate syrup. 2. Came here to get a bit of work done with a friend. Sadly, my friend and I had trouble connecting to the wifi and spent 45 minutes trying before we just went home. We tried reconnecting, forgetting the network, going to their website, asking employees for help, googling on how to connect with our data and still got no luck. Parking was super easy and there were plenty of seating. The workers were super nice and made our drinks really quick. I ordered a large iced dutched coffee without ice ($5) and it was ok. It seemed a bit water down to my liking even without ice. I really like the atmosphere for studying but since there was no reliable wifi, I'm not so sure I'd come again. Eon Coffee has a very convenient location with plenty of parking. We stopped by very early in the morning, and, unfortunately, our Americanos had a funky aftertaste (when you use bad tap water). I could tell that they use quality coffee beans, and we probably wouldn't taste it if we got one of the flavored drinks but it was a fail for a simple espresso drinks. Overall, it's a cool coffee shop with petty of seating and lots of different options for everyone. I may give it another try :) read more

Love the friendly service, and this cute cafe. Our drinks came out fast, and love that there was no line. Our food was brought to us, and the place is always spotless clean. Got to spend some time with my friend, and getting some tan while seating in front of the store. I love their tea & my friend love his latte. We split the sandwich, but it was perfect for a light snack. This is our hidden gem that's never crowd and have great music. This is my second year at Chabot and I've always been curious of Eon. Having a 7:30am class this semester, I definitely need a caffeine fix. I got up extra early just so I could stop by Eon and I'm glad I did. I believe it was the owner of the cafe that took and made my order. I had a hot Crème de Caramel espresso and a turkey pesto panini. I loved that my coffee wasn't overly sweet and I could still enjoy the taste of the espresso. I was pleasantly surprised with how dense the panini was and it was delicious. I can understand why this cafe is so popular with students and professors. I look forward to coming back! read more

Eon is a really cute and convenient cafe that one can enjoy while in Hayward! I've been hearing about their paninis for a while, so I decided to check it out since I wanted to find a place to do some work at. I appreciate that outside, it has its own parking lot. It's right off Hesparian, so despite being in a typically busy main street, one can find some parking. Another thing I like about Eon is that it offers both indoor and outdoor seating. This was important to me since the winter surge for COVID is going on, so having an outdoor space to work away from people made me feel a bit safer. I ordered the chipotle chicken panini and caramel frappe. The panini comes with a side of chips or an apple -- I chose an apple since I've been snacking on chips too often lately. The panini was made fresh, and when I bit into it, I have to admit that it was absolutely delicious. It was warm, cheesy, and complemented with tomatoes and onions inside to enhance its flavor. I haven't had a panini this good since my sophomore year of college about 7 years back -- I'm a fan! The caramel frappe was sweet and tasty. It definitely gave a good kick for me as I read and took work notes outdoors. Altogether I paid about $15 (includes tip). The quality of the food and drink here is really good! My husband and I were just saying how much we miss Eon! We used to come here often when we lived closer. I loved the Black Forest Mocha and his drink of choice was the White Forest Mocha! Came here on Saturday afternoon and ordered a chocolate dream. Asked for less sweetness and the barista was nice and explained to me. It was great and tasty. He also had great service and he was so patient when I had to pay with multiple payment methods. Okay I hesitate to write this because the service was outstanding. Very welcoming, very kind staff however, the coffee was nothing special. Very mid. Not up to my personal coffee standards. For reference my favorite coffee shop is Blue Bottle. So if you are anything like me this spot will be utterly disappointing and a complete waste of money. The turkey pesto panini was diabolically disgusting. Soggy, bland, and slightly spoiled/old meat tasting. Not acceptable what's so ever. I have been spending time with Kevin at his place for the past 2 days and we have been on good adventures for the past couple of days! This place I would say is a legit cafe spot near the chabot college! It was a rainy day and it called for nice hot latte and some Sammys! So I got the turkey pesto panini same as kev and I got the English toffee with 2 pumps of vanilla latte it was sooo yummy! The panini was a great size, and melted into perfection! It was a picture perfect cheese pull! I'm sad I didn't get to take a photo bc I was locked in the moment hahaha Kevin got the iced Dutch coffee which is brewed for 8 hrs everydayyy!! I discovered Eon Coffee due to it's proximity to my brother in laws house. I'm sure glad I did! Eon Coffee is a cute coffee shop that has a very friendly and cozy vibe. It's a great place to grab coffee & food and relax for a little. I saw people on their laptops so it's also a great place to get some work done. They offer outdoor seating as well for those nice, sunny days. The staff is very friendly and the service is very fast. They are accommodating to special orders and even make good recommendations. I always order the iced coffee and it's a perfect mix of coffee, sweetener and creamer. Other coffee shops often make their iced coffees that give me headaches but not here. My favorite coffee place! Finally decided to do a review of it. I've been coming here since 2013 and it is still as consistent as ever. I've probably had all the drinks in the menu already and they have all been very good. The one I enjoy the most are the Italian cappuccino's since they aren't as heavy as the cappuccino that I usually get. The service itself is great! Can't complain about anything about them. They're all really friendly workers and they are all easy to talk to. I've talked to most of them about random things throughout the time I've been there. Kudos to the owner for hiring good people. The cafe itself has a pretty simple setup. On the right side when you enter, there is a couch area with some small tables, and on the left side there are more seating tables. Most tables that are stationed next to the wall has a charging port, so it's nice in case you have work to do on your computer. Overall, great place! Probably one of the few 5 stars I'll give to a place. I would've given it a 5 star rating 9 years ago too which goes to show how consistent this place has always been. There are not many good places in Hayward to meet new business or personal connections for the first time, this place is great for that, it is easy to find reasonably private seating without overwhelming background noise, has a nice vibe, and all types of coffee such a meeting might want. Tried out this coffee place since I was in the area, and also saw they offered panini sandwiches, which I haven't had in a long time. I got their Turkey pesto panini because pesto is my favorite Italian sauce. Although I was hesitant with getting this panini (because I'm not a Turkey fan), the food turned out much better than I expected. Very simple panini but also very tasty and worth getting. For the coffee, I just got a hot vanilla latte with an extra espresso shot and almond milk (ya boy is lactose intolerant), and it was good. It's just as one would expect out of a vanilla latte, so it was satisfactory and hit the spot as I gradually woke up for the day. I've been coming to eon to study since I was a high schooler, then as an undergraduate, and even as a graduate student. It's one of my favorite coffee shops ever simply because it offers the best tuna melt (recently bumped up in price to I believe 10.95) and a great workspace: Big tables, super friendly service, and lots of light. It's also in the vicinity of the community college Chabot which has monthly flee markets right across the street - worth checking out! This place has a lot of character. Couches and low lit section for a more relaxing/reading vibe and a bigger area with more light and tables. My only complaint is that the outlets in there haven't been fixed in a long time and my chargers don't stay put without support - usually from my backpack.
