This is a very cute hole in the wall! Local place! They also support other local businesses by selling their items! I love all the unique items! The coffee is amazing! The owner is cute! I love the place and will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area. There is street parking, but there is also a few spots in the lot that are available. It is on the main road so you may see it or just miss it if you drive by too fast.

Cozy turtle themed cafe featuring live music around 1pm on a Saturday, the duo performing well-known tunes on the harmonica, resonator guitar, and shakers, as well as vocals. Just a few tables with seating inside but we found a couple open window seats to enjoy some standard beverages, hot tea and iced mocha made just right. I also got a breakfast sandwich with bacon, and it was made fresh and served hot, with lots of fluffy eggs and melted cheese between the soft and airy croissant, and the bacon cooked to a slight crisp with just a bit of fat to add enough flavor. Service was efficient and super friendly, we felt welcome the entire time we were there. A casual and carefree atmosphere surrounded by cute and quirky turtle decor, it certainly has a unique appeal for enjoying delicious treats.

I came here for the first time a week ago and so I'm so glad I did! The coffee was very aromatic and my breakfast croissant had a generous portion of fluffy eggs and cheese. You can also purchase artwork she has on the walls, trinkets, journals and more! April serves with such care, as if you a guest in her home. Thank you for making me feel at peace and I will be back!

Cute little cafe where if your a local you probably have a relationship with the owner/employees based on what we saw while there. Lots of drink options and a few breakfast items on menu. The jalapeño bagel was tasty as was the Raspberry Mocha. My group also tried a chai latte that was a little heavy on the milk and a lavender matcha latte that was tasty but sounded like it wasn't a favorite for my matcha loving friend. Parking was a little confusing since I'm not familiar with the area but there are lots of public lots within 2 blocks if you aren't able to snag a street spot.

Still awesome, still very small business run by one super woman, and now she expanded one of the best perks of going there, filling her journal of "what are you grateful for", which i fill me with warmth when i fill it. And now i can buy from her merchandise option, a new journal!

    Dirty Chai

UPDATE- Just noticed the ice cubes aren't water they're more chai!!!!!! Crying I love this spot now. I got the dirty chai (no modifications) and it is so good!!! Super creamy and lots of layers to the taste. I also tried the turkey and cheese croissant. It was simple but delicious. A large drink and food item for less than $13 is a STEAL. The service is great the workers greet you and work super quick. The space itself is so cute to sit down and have a drink. If you choose "for here" they serve you in cute dishes.

    Large Iced Raspberry Mocha!

Best coffee I've had in a while. My favorite is the raspberry mocha because it actually tastes like fresh raspberry and their coffee blend is amazing. Tasted like a chocolate covered raspberry. The lady there is so sweet! My new go to place! Parking could be better... but that's not their fault lol

Snappy's is one of my favorite local businesses. I love how affordable they are and even with low prices they are always QUALITY. My regular order is a small latte but I've tried different flavors, I have also ordered an extra dirty chai. They always come out perfect and the right amount of creamy. April, the owner, is so so sweet. She always greets customers when they walk in and asks about your day. She remembers my order which I love. She also supports the community and other local business which is amazing. She sells local honey, art, and hot sauce for other local vendors. She is also a pick up location for folks who order form Books on B. Snappy's is truly a community hub. The shop is small on the inside. It makes it hard when there are rushes but I also think that it adds to a feeling of intimacy and makes it feel homey. I think the local art adds this effect as well. I also like that there is parking nearby (though it can get filled up).

Just an excellent place to be!…read more A friend had heard rave reviews about their authentic Argentinian empanadas and we were so happy to come and try it out on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was busy (the lot is shared with Trader Joe's) but we managed to find a spot and head into the busy but not packed cafe. There is a large assortment of empanadas, from meat options like chorizo and chicken, to vegetarian like corn and onion, to sweet options too like apples. The menu also boasts lots of great drinks including mate tea! Lucky us, the empanadas we ordered weren't in stock so we had to wait ~10 for freshly baked ones. They came out buttery and piping hot, even with little hand-stamped letters on them so you know what you're eating, and it was so delicious. Most are about $5.50 each. Add oregano chimichurri for a bit extra if you want or pair with a tea, but these empanadas really hit the snacky spot. Lots of wooden tables with fresh flowers make Pampas a great space to chat with friends or to sit and do some work. The most standout feature was the friendly and efficient staff who seem to build connections with everybody who walks in the door. Worth a drive to Castro Valley! Especially if you bring cash for a 10% discount off a dozen :)

Also while we were there, an employee was stamping boxes at a table right next to us. It was loud smacking noises that made it hard to converse with each other. I wish the employee would do that in the back or behind the counter. Waffled between three and four stars because there wasn't anything wrong with Pampas and I like to support local. But ultimately the loud smacking noises for the whole time and the fact that I didn't get what was advertised pushed me towards three.

They use high quality matcha powder (Marukyu Koyamaen) for their drinks. This is one of the few things that drew me into their cafe. The baristas are extremely friendly and have a wonderful sense of humor, AND they support small businesses! While you wait for your order, you can browse their shelf full of crystal candies, matcha sets, candles, and they may also have Natsume matcha tins available! (This is not the matcha they use in their drinks, but it's nice to have other options available to buy.) ^^ So if you're in the East Bay and are looking for a business to support, go to Always Yours Bakery Cafe (they're also available on the Too Good To Go app)! Their store is located in the massive plaza near Castro Valley BART station. What makes them stand out is their lime tea! They're tactfully made to ace the flavor profile, and I've enjoyed every drink I've ordered so far. Not brave enough yet to get the Hand Squeezed Lime Drink ($6.50). My sister first told me about this place, and she dropped off a Phoenix Lime Tea ($8) for me that was refreshing and not as sour as I expected from a drink with a lime ingredient :P It came in a tall, sturdy plastic cup that I reused a couple times for iced coffee at home. Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Milk Tea with Lime Cream Cold Foam ($8): Shoot that's good. I already love oolong milk tea, and the addition of creamy lime was smooth! Not too tart and didn't ruin the taste. It came in a smaller size cup and I was sad about less drink :( Durian Smoothie with Sticky Rice ($12.50): I hate that I love durian, and it's hard to find durian drinks. Because look at that price tag!! In this economy!! I also hate that I loved it. The durian was potent (not iced down) and the sticky rice was warm, didn't harden too quickly from the cold smoothie. Gosh darn it. Durian Lime Tea ($12.50): Comes with coconut noodles as a topping! Excellent combo as well with durian bits. Can opt to have lime slices in your drink or not. Can also hear the staff hand-pounding the limes for the juice! They have 2 ordering screens, and I've seen someone order at the register as well. I like the big screen that displays orders in progress and completed ones. They have WiFi and indoor/outdoor seating if you want to work from there. I saw a lot of students flooding in during after school hours. Boba is so competitive these days and I love their drinks, so please come so they'll stay open LOL I'm curious about the Rice Mochi Milk Tea ($8) and Mango Coconut Matcha ($8.50). Thank god they're a bit of a far drive, otherwise I would have a monthly Goolu budget.

Service was super quick (although the store was empty when I went at a very off hour on the weekend). The inside has ample seating with green-themed seats/deco. It's located in a plaza so parking is pretty easy! I will definitely be adding this place into my rotation for post-Lake Chabot refreshments
