Fast service. Nice lady! Just a bit warm inside. Runs the place on her own, but didn't mind the wait.

I love this place. Good service and yummy drinks! I usually get the iced vanilla latte and I love that its not overly sweet. I also enjoy the Mexican mocha

Snappy's? More like crappy's! Customer service was bland, my coffee flavor was good but it was freezing cold, and not on purpose. The tables were dirty. It was hot as hell in there no ventilation. But let's get down to business... my bagel... I know I only asked for a plain bagel with cream cheese but holy moly it was dryer than Arabian desert. I'll post the photo. Not only that but she tried to just put cream cheese only on one side and then smash the two bagels together as if once I opened it back up I'm not going to see it lol. The place has potential. Make the coffee hot please, take that fridge that is in the front and move it to the back it's ugly, put a fan in there please!! It's January and I was sweating. And give the tables a wash here and there. Not sure how there's all these good reviews but someone needs to tell the truth around here.

This is a very cute hole in the wall! Local place! They also support other local businesses by selling their items! I love all the unique items! The coffee is amazing! The owner is cute! I love the place and will definitely be back if I'm ever in the area. There is street parking, but there is also a few spots in the lot that are available. It is on the main road so you may see it or just miss it if you drive by too fast.

Cozy turtle themed cafe featuring live music around 1pm on a Saturday, the duo performing well-known tunes on the harmonica, resonator guitar, and shakers, as well as vocals. Just a few tables with seating inside but we found a couple open window seats to enjoy some standard beverages, hot tea and iced mocha made just right. I also got a breakfast sandwich with bacon, and it was made fresh and served hot, with lots of fluffy eggs and melted cheese between the soft and airy croissant, and the bacon cooked to a slight crisp with just a bit of fat to add enough flavor. Service was efficient and super friendly, we felt welcome the entire time we were there. A casual and carefree atmosphere surrounded by cute and quirky turtle decor, it certainly has a unique appeal for enjoying delicious treats.

A happy 14th anniversary to Snappy's Cafe! A quaint coffee shop with excellent service from owner April and delicious coffee.

I came here for the first time a week ago and so I'm so glad I did! The coffee was very aromatic and my breakfast croissant had a generous portion of fluffy eggs and cheese. You can also purchase artwork she has on the walls, trinkets, journals and more! April serves with such care, as if you a guest in her home. Thank you for making me feel at peace and I will be back!

Still awesome, still very small business run by one super woman, and now she expanded one of the best perks of going there, filling her journal of "what are you grateful for", which i fill me with warmth when i fill it. And now i can buy from her merchandise option, a new journal!

Cute little cafe where if your a local you probably have a relationship with the owner/employees based on what we saw while there. Lots of drink options and a few breakfast items on menu. The jalapeño bagel was tasty as was the Raspberry Mocha. My group also tried a chai latte that was a little heavy on the milk and a lavender matcha latte that was tasty but sounded like it wasn't a favorite for my matcha loving friend. Parking was a little confusing since I'm not familiar with the area but there are lots of public lots within 2 blocks if you aren't able to snag a street spot.

    Dirty Chai

UPDATE- Just noticed the ice cubes aren't water they're more chai!!!!!! Crying I love this spot now. I got the dirty chai (no modifications) and it is so good!!! Super creamy and lots of layers to the taste. I also tried the turkey and cheese croissant. It was simple but delicious. A large drink and food item for less than $13 is a STEAL. The service is great the workers greet you and work super quick. The space itself is so cute to sit down and have a drink. If you choose "for here" they serve you in cute dishes.

If you're thinking about giving a food birthday gift or if you know someone who just needs a food…read morepick-me-up, get a box of pastries for them here! Not only are the pastries some of the prettiest that I've seen but they're actually quite tasty (and not too sweet either)! Comes in a nice branded box too. Before I rattle off my reviews of the pastries that I tried I'll say that the pastries here, although laminated, have no crisp and are strictly the soft and chewy type (think Costco croissants). I prefer some crisp, but I wouldn't hesitate on returning here to try more things. - French tart: amaaazing egg custard filling. It's so milky it's almost flan-like! - Brownie fruit tart: omg prob one of my fave brownie textures; not fudgy-dry and not too-cake-like either. Nailed the custard filling as well. I'd say my fave pastry in the bunch. - Passion fruit ganache danish: deliciously tart passion fruit filling! - Sweet cheese bowtie: funny enough the sweet cheese reminds me a lot of Cheez Whiz haha (nostalgic for me) but silkier and lighter in taste. The sweet cheese is only in the center of the bowtie. - Ham & cheese: flavorful ham but could've had a little bit more of it. The cheese part tastes similar to the cheese filling in the sweet cheese bowtie. - Ube moon: mad props for ube jam actually being used here instead of just ube extract like at most bakeries that offer ube treats. I will say though that the ube filling is a bit too dense; maybe the ube jam could've been mixed with some custard to make the filling lighter. Only a couple of customers in line when I visited on a Sunday early afternoon and the display case was still more-than-half full. Okay-ish service; the lady at the cashier was primarily focused on quickly completing orders.

Though the bakery is pretty small, it was perfectly cozy with plenty outdoor seating available. There are a couple tables outside, and a bar-style seating area outside. Plus, a lot of parking spaces are available! The pastries are displayed beautifully under the warm lights of the shelf. Totally cute! Most importantly.. Instagram worthy! I got two original croissants, an orange creme brulee, and a strawberry crescent croissant. The original croissants were perfectly crunchy, and not too airy that there isn't anything inside the shell. Pretty dense in you ask me, and I love it that way! The orange creme brulee was really pretty. Caught my eye in the crowd! Though I thought that the croissant-style bread on the outside of the pastry was not crispy enough, the creme brulee definitely had a rich orange-y aroma. The strawberry crescent was my absolute favorite. I love how the hard, dense outside contrasted with the creamy center. The strawberry cream in the center isn't too sweet in my opinion! The shape wasn't just creative, it was also so fun to eat! You'll be seeing me again!

Just an excellent place to be!…read more A friend had heard rave reviews about their authentic Argentinian empanadas and we were so happy to come and try it out on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was busy (the lot is shared with Trader Joe's) but we managed to find a spot and head into the busy but not packed cafe. There is a large assortment of empanadas, from meat options like chorizo and chicken, to vegetarian like corn and onion, to sweet options too like apples. The menu also boasts lots of great drinks including mate tea! Lucky us, the empanadas we ordered weren't in stock so we had to wait ~10 for freshly baked ones. They came out buttery and piping hot, even with little hand-stamped letters on them so you know what you're eating, and it was so delicious. Most are about $5.50 each. Add oregano chimichurri for a bit extra if you want or pair with a tea, but these empanadas really hit the snacky spot. Lots of wooden tables with fresh flowers make Pampas a great space to chat with friends or to sit and do some work. The most standout feature was the friendly and efficient staff who seem to build connections with everybody who walks in the door. Worth a drive to Castro Valley! Especially if you bring cash for a 10% discount off a dozen :)

It's small but cozy and clean. I wanted to try all of the flavors - regular, chili oil scallion, and corn cheese. The regular was the best out of the other two in my opinion since it was simple but the bread could have been crisper even though it was warmed up. The other two flavors were very oily and too heavy. Glad I finally tried it, but I think I'm just going to stick to their macaroons.

It's in a corner of a very cute gourmet food hall and had a good selection of goods left in mid-afternoon on a weekday. Service is also friendly and prompt. I had to get the kouign amann because I always get one wherever I can, and also picked up a plain croissant, currant scone, and panna cotta. The KA was decent; I would call this one a diet KA because they only put the sugar on one side so it was more like a brulee'd croissant. I also have to admit that, while this shaping is very attractive, the direction of the lamination makes eating this feel like shards in my mouth. However, flavor was excellent. The plain croissant is very plain. It's decent but I've had better. The scone and panna cotta, however, were delightful. Both had lovely soft textures and wonderful creamy flavors. The scone held up for two days and wasn't even a bit stale when I finally had it for breakfast. Highly recommend this tucked-away bakery in the Castro Valley!

Seven Hills Baking Co was my first stop as I haven't had sourdough since childhood. I got their classic sourdough loaf. Even though it wasn't warm anymore it was still amazing. It was quite hard to cut into with a serrated bread knife, which I'm not sure whether that's normal or abnormal for gluten sourdough. However, the inside was lovely and soft. Nice strong sour flavor, spongy dough that was almost moist (not at all dry). I want to note on the gluten free front that seven hills baking co offers a few items which they advertise to be gluten free. Though the ingredients may be gluten free, the items are baked in the same kitchen, the same oven, and then put side by side with the gluten in the display case. Furthermore I don't believe their ingredients are all certified gluten free. Therefore I do not recommend seven hills baking co for anybody with celiac disease. Do not buy your friend with a gluten allergy or celiac these items. There is most certainly cross contact.
