I can't believe I haven't written a review for a business my kids and I frequent all the time! We've been coming to Always Yours since it opened. Hands down they have the best drinks, cookies, macarons, cakes, and now salt bread! I always come to get treats for my kid's teachers (for their birthdays, teacher appreciation week, just because, etc.). I've brought friends visiting the Bay Area to this bakery, which they have loved. Always Yours also has fun cup sleeve events, macaron classes and afternoon tea from time to time. We love supporting small businesses and this one is definitely worth supporting! P.S. with all these drink places popping up in the area...we still think the drinks at Always Yours not only taste better, but also are of higher quality. read more

I recently heard about the salt bread at Always Yours, along with the banana pudding matcha latte, and knew I had to try both. We heard that there had been some long lines recently and that the bread can sell out fast, so he went ahead of me to get in line before they opened, but he said there actually wasn't a line this time. We went on a Sunday afternoon and got two each of the regular and chili oil scallion breads. Once I got to the cafe, I ordered the banana pudding matcha latte. We sat on the bench outside to eat our bread and noticed that it tasted just a *little* like it had been sitting out for a while. I wouldn't describe it as stale, it just didn't have as soft a texture as we expected. However, it tasted absolutely delicious. I'd recommend getting both flavors if you can. The chili oil one wasn't spicy, in my opinion, it just had a kick of chili flavor. The banana pudding matcha latte was a little less successful. The pudding was great, but it just sat on top of the drink. When I mixed it into the matcha, it still wasn't coming through very strong and the drink tasted almost entirely of matcha. It was disappointing because I love banana so much. I think I'd be better off just ordering the banana pudding in the future. I'd like to come back here on a Saturday to see if the bread is a bit fresher, and I'd order the banana pudding rather than the latte. read more

Get the butter toffee cookie because it is so delicious! The store is very clean, plenty of seating to enjoy your sweet treat. Order the ube cheesecake, butter toffee cookie, and a assam milk tea with boba. The order came out quickly. Ube Japanese cheesecake is tasty, not too much ube taste. It is super light and moist, love how it is not too sweet. For the assam milk tea, I prefer it with more tea flavor. The drink was ok, the matcha drinks look better. The butter toffee cookie was the best, it was flavorful, the toffee has added toasted nutty flavor with some sugar. I would get a box full. Overall, has a great variety of baked goods. read more

3.5 stars for their Salt Bread. Decided to stop by to try the viral salt bread that is all over social media. I've been to this location once for a Yelp event and loved their macaroons. It has the perfect consistency and texture, so it has been on the top of my list to stop by whenever I'm in the area. We stopped by on a Sunday at noon and there were only a few customers inside. It's small but cozy and clean. I wanted to try all of the flavors - regular, chili oil scallion, and corn cheese. The regular was the best out of the other two in my opinion since it was simple but the bread could have been crisper even though it was warmed up. The other two flavors were very oily and too heavy. Glad I finally tried it, but I think I'm just going to stick to their macaroons. read more

My review is long overdue for Always Yours Bakery Cafe. I have been a customer since before they opened a physical cafe, and I have never been disappointed. With a wide selection of macarons, desserts/pastries, and drinks (matcha being one of them), I am always trying something new. Employees are friendly and patient. There is even a rewards program you can sign up for and receive points with every purchase. I sometimes even get texts with 15% off a purchase. Parking can be difficult, but it's a given considering how busy the shopping center is. read more

--- F O O D & D R I N K S --- Natalie, the owner, was originally my macaron and Japanese soufflé cheesecake go-to before she opened her shop! Was so glad that she was able to open up her own bakery/cafe to feature these and additional Asian-inspired desserts for the Bay Area to try! MACARONS. I've been a fan of these Macarons for years, and what first drew me in was their adorable themed designs for holidays and special occasions like Lunar New Year, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. While their character macarons and classic rounds are super cute, what keeps me coming back is that they actually taste amazing. There's nothing worse than biting into a beautiful macaron only to find it's dry, but that's definitely not the case here. Their macarons are consistently moist, flavorful, and fresh, with the perfect texture every time. It's the best of both worlds--beautiful designs that are almost too cute to eat and quality that lives up to the hype! JAPANESE SOUFFLE CHEESECAKE. My first Japanese soufflé cheesecake experience was from a commercial chain, and while it was light and fluffy, it doesn't compare to Always Yours Bakery Cafe. Their cheesecakes are THIQ in the best way possible--rich, dense, creamy, and still have that perfect jiggle. My absolute favorite flavor is the Ube! Ever since discovering them, I'd much rather order a whole cheesecake from here than pick up a standard birthday cake from the grocery store. It's always a crowd-pleaser! DRINKS. I'm def a matcha gworrrrl so I had to try as many flavors as I could! They have pistachio, banana cream, strawberry, and creme brûlée. What really stole my heart was the Earl Grey Creme Brûlée Milk Tea! "Creamy earl grey tea with your choice of milk, topped with our housemade salted cheese cream, torched sugar, and creme brûlée pudding." It's def a unique combo I haven't came across any other milk tea shop yet til here, and given that it's a bakery, I figured their creme brûlée would be amazing--and it FASHO IS! I recommend it with oatmilk and less sweetness to help balance all the flavors. _______________________________________________________ --- S E R V I C E --- The staff is always so friendly and accommodating, and you can tell they truly care about their customers and the quality of what they serve. And the turnaround is pretty quick! _______________________________________________________ --- A M B I A N C E -- The ambiance is just as charming as the desserts. When you first walk in, you're greeted by a display case filled with beautiful desserts, and I definitely recommend taking a look at the other treats on the menu besides the cheesecakes. There's even a claw machine filled with adorable boba plushies that adds a fun touch to the space. The dining area is small but thoughtfully designed, with marble-inspired walls, pops of greenery from the plants, and a purple neon sign that ties everything together. It has cozy, trendy café vibes and is the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a sweet treat. _______________________________________________________ Be sure to check out their page for events! Small bakery in a shopping center with barely any parking. It took us about 15 minutes to find a parking spot. Don't say that you weren't warned! Parking is VERY challenging given that there are a lot of stores/eateries in the area. I came here to check out a cupsleeve event that they were hosting. The bakery is small and the vendors were in a very tight space so it was a little hard to navigate around. No seats were available, so I stood for most of the time. I decided to try their macarons while I was there. Unfortunately they ran out of the BTS printed ones, but I was lucky to buy a couple character ones and a matcha rice crispy treat. My cousin was fortunate enough to score a couple BTS macarons, therefore she was able to show me how they came out. They didn't have a huge selection of desserts to choose from, however, they do have a wide selection of drinks, flavors similar to other boba places. The macarons were light, chewy and filling wasn't too sweet, which was the perfect balance. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the matcha rice crispy treat. The matcha tasted overpowering and it fell apart. Aside from that, this bakery is worth another try. I do hope they have more goodies available next time around. read more

Came across this bakery while in castro valley so we decided to try them out. We ordered banana and mango matcha as well as a creme brulee and strawberry cheesecake. The pastries were really good especially the creme brulee. Unfortunately the drinks were disappointing. The matcha itself was pre-made. I saw the server pouring the matcha from a pitcher. Matcha has to be freshly made every order but pouring from a pitcher was just disappointing. The drink was definitely not fresh even the fruit was not fresh. I've had matcha drinks for the same price and better quality. Definitely try their Baked goods but dont expect too much from their drinks menu atleast the matcha part. read more

We had such a fun time at a special tea party at Always Yours Bakery. All the food was so good. The service was impeccable. The amount of food, pastries, was so generous. Finally tried the salt bread in original and corn cheese flavors, both of which were equally excellent! The original had a Slight crunch on the outside, salty, yet sweet. Soo good!!!! Sweet and creamy with bits of banana pieces every now and then makes for a perfect sip. What a combination!!!! read more

We had such a wonderful experience with this bakery for our retirement party! From the very beginning, their response time was incredibly quick, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. They were also very flexible, allowing us to customize the dessert menu so it fit exactly what we were looking for. The dessert display was set up beautifully and looked absolutely stunning. It became a centerpiece of the room, and our guests couldn't stop talking about it. Most importantly, everything tasted amazing. The desserts were fresh, delicious, and disappeared so quickly that not a single crumb was left by the end of the night! That says everything you need to know about how much our guests loved them. Thank you for helping make our celebration so special. We would absolutely recommend this bakery for any event and can't wait to order from them again! read more

Lovely, little shop with a variety of baked goods and matcha using Marukyu Koyamaen! I was really looking forward to trying their mango cheesecake or any other fruity cakes, but they sadly were unavailable when I visited. I would love to come back when I'm in the area again. RECS: + Jasmine milk tea macaron ($3) tasted spot on! The macaron shell itself was softer than I'd like but still good, but the jasmine tea cream was the star of the show + Strawberry matcha latte ($7.50) had a pleasant flavor accompanied by the very fresh strawberries. Hello my fellow Yelp Foodies! After my doctor's appointment, I made a slight detour to Posh Bagel. I am so happy that I did because I came across this cute little bakery "Always Yours Bakery Cafe". I also had the honor of meeting its owner Natalie. She even took the time to sit down for a quick interview with me. I always enjoy meeting young female entrepreneurs like herself. I feel that small businesses ran/owned by young adults are very underrated and should be given more opportunities. Now for the delicious baked goods and drink... After speaking to Natalie, I just had to try the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte. That drink was concoction by Natalie herself. It's a drink that brings back childhood nostalgia. The drink texture was smooth and creamy. The first sip had a gentle taste of matcha and banana flavoring. It also has a refreshing sweetness (can be adjusted to liking) to it. At the bottom of the drink, there's a little bit of a surprise that you can eat with a spoon. What is it you ask? You need to order it to try it out. LOL. I also ordered slices of the following baked goods: Japanese Soufflé Cheesecake, Strawberry Soufflé Cheesecake, and Japanese Soufflé Cheesecake. Couldn't resist the Red Velvet Cupcake, Lemon Tarte, and Macarons. Review of the baked goods will follow later. With patience, kindness and support, we as customers, can help young entrepreneurs succeed and thrive. Please remember that at the end of the day, we are all human beings and we try to make a living to support ourselves and our families. Show kindness and enjoy each baked goods because the bakery chefs who made it, made it from the heart. Cheers! read more

We ordered a two-tiered strawberry cake from Always Yours Bakery for our wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! The cream was so light, fluffy, and delicious, not overly sweet or buttery at all. I've had beautifully decorated wedding cakes in the past that looked amazing but were extremely buttery, which I personally didn't enjoy. Always Yours Bakery got the balance just right! The ordering and delivery process was also incredibly easy and stress free. 10/10! Highly recommend Always Yours Bakery, especially for a wedding cake! (: read more

I initially wanted to order my daughter's 16th birthday cake from here but with my recent phone interaction with them, I've decided not to. My daughter doesn't like regular cake but she does love Japanese cheesecake. I sent my oldest daughter here to purchase a couple slices to try a few weeks ago. She brought home the Ube and pumpkin cheesecakes and some pumpkin macarons. We really liked the Ube cheesecake so we decided to order that in a full sized cake. Fast forward to today, I give them a call to get more information on ordering. Mind you I did look at their website beforehand but had some additional questions. The person who answered the phone tried to answer my questions but then I was cold transferred to someone else who didn't want to be bothered by my questions. She had a rude tone and kept referring me back to the website. I asked her how long in advance I needed to place the order and she said 1-2 weeks even though their website said 5 days for cheesecakes. She got annoyed when I pointed that out and she responded in a rude tone that it must be old info. Don't get upset with me....I don't manage the website. Then I asked if it's too late since she is saying 1-2 weeks and she said (again in a rude tone) that it's still a week away and to submit the online form to see if they can make it. Then she said that there have been complaints that their online form doesn't work and if that happens to use the online contact link. I guess they don't like customers calling them over the phone - everything should be done online! Call me old school but I do like to pick up the phone and speak with a live person. I was super turned off by the entire conversation and thought okay, they don't want my business. I'll figure out something else. If you have a timeframe for orders, I would recommend giving a specific number of days (i.e. 10 business days). If you can't do it, it's fine. Just be direct. Don't make customers go online and submit a form that takes 2 business days for a response when we can just go on with our lives and make plans elsewhere. So sad because we really did enjoy their Ube cheesecake. Before I called, I was planning on stopping by since we'll be in the Bay so we can check out their other goodies but the impression I got was that they don't want my business. Sorry, daughter...no cheesecake for you :( read more

The girls at the front were so rude! No smile, no welcome--just an attitude throughout the entire visit. I won't be going back based on the vibes alone. The whole experience felt so uncomfortable because of her attitude. I've heard about this place for a while and was super stoked to finally try it, so I was really disappointed. The matcha was honestly a 6/10. I'm not sure if it was the way it was made or if the experience just affected my perception of it, but overall, I left feeling really disappointed. read more

Their Banana Pudding Matcha Latte is 5/5 - one of my favorites in the east bay!!! I'd gladly go back to get it. Regular sweetness was perfect, and the banana pudding blends with the matcha so well. As you drink, the banana gets a little soggy and you get little chunks as you sip. The creaminess of the drink and the banana flavor itself are also perfect - 10/10!!! The bakery itself is on the smaller side, but they do have little tables for working and a small outdoor seating area. I used to frequent Always Yours for their unique desserts and quality matcha, but I was really disappointed by the customer service I received today. I ordered two matcha drinks from their kiosk: a banana pudding matcha and a matcha with Biscoff cream top. A few minutes later, I was told they were out of Biscoff cream and was asked if I wanted to substitute it with banana pudding instead. I asked for a regular matcha instead, and they said they would refund the extra charge. When my drinks were ready, I was surprised to receive a matcha with Biscoff cream anyway, along with what was clearly a pistachio cream matcha that I never ordered. I immediately let them know my order was incorrect, and they took it back to fix it. Unfortunately, when I tried the corrected drink, I could still taste pistachio bits in my banana pudding matcha. It seemed like their solution was simply adding banana pudding on top of the original pistachio cream, instead of remaking the drink I ordered properly. Really disappointing experience, especially from a place I previously enjoyed. Better attention to customer orders and quality control would go a long way. read more
