I have not had Quiznos in over ten years, but back when I lived in North San Jose it was one of my regular spots. My favorite was always the chicken carbonara. After moving to the East Bay I thought they were all gone, so I was really excited to discover there is still a location in Hayward. Of course I had to order the chicken carbonara and it was just as delicious as I remembered. The flavor brought me right back. The only thing is that Quiznos can be a little pricey and I wish the sandwiches had a bit more filling. Even so, I am glad this location is around and I will definitely be coming back. read more

Got the chicken carbonara on rosemary parmesan last Thursday around dinner time. The sandwich was overtoasted in the oven, so the bread was crunchy, charred on top, and didn't taste very good. But the sauce and toppings were as delicious as usual. Yummy sauteed mushroom, bacon, melted cheese, and buttery alfredo sauce. Service was so-so, sufficient but apathetic, and the wait for my order was less than 8 minutes with no other customers in sight. Quiznos used to be ubiquitous in the early 2000s and I used to be a regular at their SF locations. Anyway I happened to be in Hayward around lunch time so I decided to check it out. The menu had the all the subs I remembered in the past and ordered my go-to a Chicken Carbonara. It still had that yummy taste I remembered from the psst with the sauce and the chicken and bacon bits. Rosemary Parmesan bread was tasty too. It's sad to see all the Quiznos disappearing around the area, but thankfully this one is still up and running! It has a huge parking lot next to a couple of other businesses. We came in on a Sunday and it was very empty(I believe during the weekdays the surrounding businesses take over!) The restaurant itself is pretty small, but has enough tables and even has some outside. It's a typical Quiznos setting. Everything is very clean and organized. The people were really nice and quick! I ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich and it was actually really good! I'm always used to getting the meat ball sand which but I wanted to switch things up! Covid-19 rules are enforced here and that's just the first part of why this shop gets the Yelp 5 star treatment! Next is the owner of this store. I met him when the store opened. We haven't been there for a very long time and decided to get Quiznos for dinner. French dip on white mmmm. I ordered double meat on an 8". This was a great choice. Wife ordered the same only regular. Buddy Boy ordered a 12" the Bacon Honey Club. Hot and tasty is what it was. They have a whole bunch of tasty HOT sandwiches and let's face it. Did you ever eat a sandwich from a sandwich shop that was hot BEFORE you ate Quiznos? They certainly forced every other sandwich shop on earth to at least offer hot. The website is easier than other places and I like the man who owns it. I am sure it hasn't been easy owning this place for 14 years but he's done a great job. I never understood why Quiznos struggled so much. They are one of the better chain sandwich shops around. Subway is not good. They are hands down better than Togo's. They have fun and memorable marketing. They make their own tasty bread. They have good ingredients. Prices are fair. I like the manager / owner (I think?) guy that works here. Fun, proud, a good leader. They seem like they have a high turnover rate for other employees as I rarely recognise anyone and they always seem to be in training. Their menu is a bit wonky, but once you get past that and find your staples, it's a solid establishment. They love the throw ranch dressing on a lot of sammies. Not that you need to go with that, but it is a bit wonky nonetheless. I'm stuck on the traditional or pastrami. Always very satisfied and of good value. A great local establishment. Wow! What a ridiculous experience. I placed my order online through the app for a honey mustard chicken sandwich. When I arrived I was told that they were out of chicken and out of steak so I had to pick an alternative me to make my sandwich with and I had the option of ham or turkey. I chose turkey and assumed that I would get a honey mustard chicken sandwich with the only thing switched being the chicken and the turkey. I ended up getting a sandwich with no bacon and I questioned whether this was the honey mustard chicken sandwich with only turkey instead of chicken and I was told yes. I asked what about the other toppings that come on the sandwich,shouldn't they be included as well? I was told that was the sandwich I was getting. I said, what about the bacon and another toppings? He lied directly to my face and said that they did not have any bacon left. I saw the bacon earlier and questioned him and said no there's bacon right here and I pointed out to him. Then he said, "oh you want bacon?" It was obvious that this location is extremely cheap and they want to cut whatever corners they can cut and not even make sandwiches the proper way. they don't have any problem lying directly to a customer's face. I've been coming to this Quiznos since I first moved to Hayward in 2017. I thought I had built rapport with the employees since they'd recognize me during my visits but tonight I rushed there to order dinner before they closed at 7pm. I arrived at 6:50pm which I understand is close to closing time but 10 mins is still plenty to place one more order. At 6:50pm they already had all the signage turned off and chairs on top of the tables. I knocked on the door because it was the employees I see regularly but they both looked at me and looked away, completely ignoring me. Had it not been the Quiznos I go to all the time I wouldnt care but I thought I was cool w/ the staff but they shut it down early and didnt even acknowledge me. Ill never go there again. read more

Observed the sandwich maker using the same gloves to start my sandwich (grabbing bread, toppings) and then handled the trash can (swiping away the toppings left on the board and into the trash) and then NOT switching out new gloves to start another sandwich. I got two sandwiches here--first one was chicken, and I watched as the lady took unappealing pale pieces of chicken and stuck them into boiling water to heat up... I thought I would be safe with steak, but no, this time she goes into the boiling water and pulls out a ball of steak meat...no idea how long that had been there. It was really unappealing. The sandwiches were a bit soggy (even the paper they were wrapped in was wet) and they just tasted like the sauce that was put on them. The bread was unusually limp. I don't know if this is typical of Quiznos but I remember having a much better experience a different location. Why would someone come here when they can get a fresh deli sandwich at the same price? Anyway, one star added back because the owner was very nice and apologetic, and agreed to refund 50% (because we had eaten half the sandwiches before giving up). Finding a Quiznos in 2020 is literally a "challenge." There used to be two Quiznos super close to my house on Whipple Rd in Union City but are long gone. The owner Widi is one of the nicest, friendliest most caring persons on the planet. When the last closest Quiznos to me on Eden Landing Rd closed, he allowed the employees from there to come work in his shop. The food is always good and fresh while the employees are very nice/welcoming. In addition, the prices are not bad at all. With a $1 coupon, I am able to obtain a large Chicken Sandwich for less than $10. I know they probably wont last forever, but I will continue to come until then! read more

I love this Quiznos. Granted, there aren't a lot of Quiznos around, but even if there were, I'm pretty sure this would still be my favorite! Widi, the man who works here and I believe is a manager, is extremely nice, courteous and lemme tell ya, the man can make a sandwich!! I dont know how, but whenever he makes mine, it always taste better. I think he's not stingy with sauce or meat... But it's also made with love, like the ingredients are carefully placed in the exact places you would want them. I usually get the chicken carbonara, and it was on point this last visit we had! There's another woman who works here that doesn't seem nearly as happy to be here, but she is good at making the sandwiches too. Never got her name. I highly recommend everyone get the app, because I almost always have a 10% off from the app, and when you earn rewards through the purchases you make over time, you get points and can redeem these for sandwiches. I think we have redeemed them for at least three free 8" sandwiches in the last year. This location is always clean and has never been super busy on any of my visits here. Do not EVER waste your money at this place. This location has been steadily declining over the last few years, so I had transitioned to better sandwich shops. However, my favorite shop was closed today, so I decided to give it a try after about a year. I ordered a regular sandwich with extra meat for about $11.00. When I got home and opened the sandwich there was about a teaspoon of actual meat in the sandwich. This was supposed to be extra meat? This sandwich was all bread and lettuce. The co-worker and I use to be regulars here for lunch every Friday when they used to have their Sammies specials for $2. This was when the Sammies flat bread was smaller in width then they have now. They still have it, but the bread is bigger and flatter. Regardless.. I still LOVE Quiznos! They pretty much know us here because we like our sammies extra toasted! I usually go with the Bistro Steak melt sammie and Chicken, ranch, and bacon sammie (used to be called the Alpine Chicken) with the meal. They switched up the names for the Sammies but they are still the same. I've also signed up for the email list and visit Quiznos with the lunch coupons. I've just recently had a small turkey ranch and swiss, with a drink and chips of only $2.99 plus tax! There flatbread salads are yummy too!
