Was there at 10am, no lines they made my sandwich pretty fast. Bacon, Turkey, Corn Beef, Pepper Jack on a Dutch Crunch Roll with everything on it. I believe they use high quality meats, and the bread was fresh. They also put a good amount of meats in the sandwich. Easily one of the best sandwiches I have had without any special sauces like Bara's or Little Lucas put in their sandwiches. Instagram brought me here. Im from the area and didn't know about it. It's located right off the freeway. Very convenient. It's a deli and a liquor store. This place is popular so expect a little wait. Maybe 8-10min. The prices are average. The place is clean and the staff are very polite. I went for the hotlink sandwich and ended up getting the Italian sandwich instead. I literally had every ingredient for the hotlink sandwich at home. It didn't make sense to buy 1 lol. Terrace Market is an unassuming, easy-to-miss spot for great grab-and-go sammies. Parking is easy in the lot in front. (Incidentally, there's also a mailbox outside the front door should you have other errands to tend to.) The couple who run the deli listen and work with care, making your order just the way you want it. There are also pre-packaged containers of sides such as jello, green salad and watermelon. I'm a repeat customer for the BLT (on toasted rye, plus onions and pickles). I tried the tuna once and it was not for me because it is a tad sweet. The deli is co-located with the convenience market; however, they are now two separate businesses. (That market is the kind of place where you will want to check expiration dates before making a purchase.) The deli owner reports that there have been at least three owners since the market opened in 1958. Behind the deli counter, there's a cool framed grand opening advertisement, which cites the dates 6-11 June (Monday through Saturday), with no year. (I did my research and it corresponds with 1955!) Terrace Market is a long-lived neighborhood spot for groceries that is worth a stop to do your part to support small business and grab some tasty to-go sandwiches. P.S. We were on the hunt for a new sandwich spot to check out and found Terrace Deli (inside of Terrace Market) on Yelp. NOTE that the hours here are for the **market**. The deli closes much earlier. So no, this is not an open-late deli. We checked lol. But we came back again when they were really open during an early lunch hour and only had a couple of people ahead in line. We ordered our sandwiches easily (follow the directions on the menu board) and only had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes for it to be prepared. I ordered a tuna sandwich with cheddar on dutch crunch. Maybe I got it on a low day since many other reviewers are raving, but overall, I thought it was just ok. The flavor was good, but the bread (or tuna?) was pretty grainy and crumbly. The sandwich fell apart pretty easily. I think it could've done with a little more toasting to keep it together. It is a pretty good price for what you get and it is loaded. It may sound like a bit overly precise They are a solid 4.5 stars but not quite a solid 5 stars. My neighbor was nice enough to grab my order while he waited for his smog test next door. So if you are in need of a great sandwich and smog close to each other, this is the location. I had a Poor Boy on a soft roll which was excellent. The meats were sliced thin which allows the flavor to give you a nice blended taste where thicker slices tend to allow one meat to dominate the taste. My wife had a Rueben which she said was very good but they were out of rye so the overall flavor without rye made it fall short of a solid 5 stars. The macaroni and potato salads did not taste homemade but rather like the pre-packaged store versions. This is where Terrace Market fell a little short of having great tasting everything My neighbor liked all of his sandwiches and said the people are very nice. He thinks it is a family run business. That said, the deli is run by a cheerful and friendly Asian couple. This is strictly a takeout place, but the place was clean and inviting. Ample parking out front. Service was great, sandwich took maybe five or so minutes to make. Sandwich itself was excellent, I got the turkey club sandwich, which was $11.50, their most expensive sandwich. Others were more like $10. Sandwich was excellent and protein portion was huge! I'll have to come back to try their other sandwiches. Came here on a weekday afternoon and it is actually shared with a convenience store that sells chips, soda, candy, etc. the sandwich shop is owned by a cute family and everyone was very friendly as I ordered. They had a wide sandwich and bread selection, and I ended up going with a turkey sandwich on a sourdough roll with everything on it. I thought the sandwich was made well and the bread was pretty good - the proportion of turkey and cheese was good (not too much of each). However I do wish there were more options for veggies and I think the meat could have been more salted though I think that means their food is more fresh than other sandwich places. Sometime ago, I saw the review posted by Monika. She made it sound rally good so I decided to give it a try. It was easy enough to find and the parking was easy. It was 2 PM so there was no line. The staff was very nice and they were very patient with me. I like pastrami and good examples of those sandwiches are not easy to find. Terrace Market offers a regular Pastrami Sandwich that you can customize any way you want. They also have a Pastrami Reuben on the menu. When I asked about the Reuben, the fellow behind the counter told me how they made. It sounded great so that's what I had. It lived up to his description of it and it was every bit as good as what Monika reported in her review. They toasted the rye bread in a conventional toaster. They heated up the Pastrami and sauerkraut [n a microwave. They assembled it with Swiss Cheese and Thousand Island Dressing. They wrapped it in white butcher paper and it smelled heavenly! It was also thoroughly heated. The cost was $9.75. But that higher price is due to the 'supply chain problems. Just about a month ago, the price was just $6.50! Togo's just introduced a new Pastrami Cheesesteak at $3 more but it has less meat than shown here! I was hungry so I ate half of it right away while parked outside the store.. It was excellent!! All the various components were very evident and there was lots of Pastrami. This place does not skimp on anything - flavor, meat, dressing sauerkraut and bread were all quality ingredients. I was a very happy camper! The only shortcoming was the lack of any seating, inside or outside. Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars!! This place is a real market on one side and a deli counter on the other side. It's clean and everyone is courteous and helpful.
