    cheeseburger and classic burger
    Kathleen W.

This place looked wuite appealing from reviews so we came through post run We got a cheeseburger and classic burger along with a side of fries. Food was fresh, crispy and delicious. It was very satisfying and the married couple clearly have a lot of regulars coming through as so many people got take out from here. The burgers are solid and a nice size ~ I love that they're bigger than usual and not teeny tiny. Murals are also adorable with a picture of the mom and pop and fast food itemsnin a car~

[IN A NUTSHELL] mom & pop shop burger spot, classic burgers [VERDICT] - APPROVED [RUN-DOWN] A great spot if you are looking for some good classic burgers that are authentic and not cheap fast food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was recommended to me by a co worker and a cute little shop with a classic diner vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [SCORE & ORDER] OVERALL: 3.25/5 Classic Burger $ (3.5/5) -Cheese Burger with Pastrami -A classic cheese burger with a twist of sliced/bits of pastrami. I decided to get this since it was the name of the restaurant. The burger came with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles (I did not get), ketchup, and mustard (I did not get) and pastrami. The pastrami was interesting and I don't think I am a pastrami guy. No matter though because the burger was just as delicious. It was super juicy and flavorful. For a mom and pop shop, it tasted like a classic burger place. The burger was also super hefty and was full just from the burger. A nice touch to the burger was that the top of the bun was also toasted which gave a nice crispy taste to the burger itself. Onion Rings $ (3/5) -The classic onion rings... Nothing to special about the onions rings but they were nonetheless delicious. Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. [SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE] (not reflected upon review score): We came on a weekday lunch time and the sit down was not as busy but there were people ordering to go. There is also a soda machine if you get that option. The staff was super nice and I believe she is the owner of the restaurant.

I've heard about this place for years since moving into town and never got the chance to try it until today. It is truly a town's jewel. The classic cheeseburger is a must. The fries were not greasy; onion rings were simple and yet tasty. The classic cheeseburger was simply delicious. Freshly made by the friendly owners. This will be our new go to burger place!

Ordered steak sandwich with mayo, lettuce and tomatoes. This is what I got. Where's the lettuce and tomatoes???
    Suzanne C.

I called in an order for a steak sandwich with mayo, lettuce and tomatoes only and I got an overcooked steak with only mayo and ketchup. I guess to them ketchup is the same as a tomato. You can see the quality of food one gets from the photo. It looks like it was a mistake from another order and they pawned it off on me. If you order from them make sure you check it make sure they made it correctly. Won't be going there any time soon.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice lil burger joint. Had very retro/vintage restaurant vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food itself was pretty good & the staff were super nice. I enjoyed the burger meat. Wasn't the biggest fan of NY steak sandwich meat was a little too chewy for my liking but solid food. Next time will get the cheeseburger, fry/combo for $13

Was craving a Philly cheese steak and decided to give Classic Burger a chance. I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich! Bread is soft and warm and the meat was tender and flavorful, with the cheese melted perfectly. Note the sandwiches are a bit small and probably won't fill you if you're super hungry though.

I've heard about this place for years having lived in the area for some time. I love the pastrami burger at Utah's Crown Burger so I was looking forward to trying this place! [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's located in a little strip mall on Hesperian, definitely a hole in the wall kind of place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Old school menu board, older style tables/benches, it has that 1980's mom and pop kind of vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are a bit understaffed when it gets busy but the food is cooked to order and they bring it out to you on an old school orange tray. I got the pastrami burger and fries. Portions were good sized and the pastrami burger was pretty good. Decent place to get a greasy burger from a local spot.

Damn it's my fault for sleeping on this place for too long. I would pass by it almost every day going to work in 2018/19, just never been. There's hella parking and easy to get to. When you see the sign and that thing is faded you know the food is about to smackerino. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is clean and hella nostalgic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The burger is good, it's just a classic burger with no frills. The service is good too, they bring it out for you and pretty quick.

Grew up in San Lorenzo. been with Classic Burger my whole life. You want a good local burger joint this is it. Seen this place evolve they deserve every dollar we give them. You can tell when Food is made with the heart. Start with the Og Classic. take your time this is a tasty burger. Love love love this place. Ten million start.

My husband and I stopped by Classic Burger in San Lorenzo on a Saturday at 1:15 PM. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we walked in, there were only three other people, so we weren't sure if it was going to be good since it wasn't packed. But soon after we placed our order and sat down, the place quickly filled up -- a good sign![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment we walked in, I was pleased to notice there was NO overpowering cleaner smell--my pet peeve--and the place was clean, cool, and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and attentive, which made our experience even better. I really appreciated that we could see the food being cooked -- it's always reassuring to see freshness and cleanliness in the kitchen. We split a double cheeseburger and fries, and the food was delivered by a staff member piping hot, which was perfect. The burger was fantastic! I could taste the char of the grill, and the meat was nice and thick and meaty. The lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions added the perfect touch of flavor. The fries were hot and fresh, and the bun was just right -- soft, not too thick or bready, with sesame seeds that I love. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything felt cozy and inviting -- a great spot to hang out and enjoy great-tasting, hot, fresh food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We'll definitely be back. Thanks for a fantastic quick meal!

Wowzers! This place was amazing! While Yelping looking for a good place to eat I came across this gem of a restaurant and so happy I did! I saw all the reviews and nothing but positives so I had to try it. Pulled up and got to the counter. The lady at the counter was helpful, nice, and just wanted me to feel welcome! I asked what would be the best burger since it was my first time. She said the classic burger is what they've known for so I had to try! Wow! This burger was bursting with flavor, had that slightly toasted bun, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, must and mayo, bacon patty and pastrami and Swiss cheese! Yummmm!! I also ordered the fries that were cooked perfectly not oily and just right! This burger I can't stop talking about because it tasted homemade and with that flavor that can only come from a grill that's been used for years and has that old school taste to it! The burger was juicy and just done right! I highly recommend you stop here and have the burger yourself! With the sesame buns I like, this burger is a home run! If in the area, live close by, driving by or staying close by, you gotta try this place! You will not be disappointed!! I might have to drive from the Sacramento area again to come have this burger more often!

Touching food with bare unwashed hands
    Trenise L.

I was going to order, but I witnessed this man using his bare unwashed hand grabbing onion rings and putting them into the fryer. Then he proceeds to ring someone up and go back to using his unwashed hands to handle food! He needs to learn how to properly handle food!

But don't think there are multiple locations...yet. Upon receiving my sandwiches, it was wrapped in a paper with their company logo, and from a quick glance it is super similar to the Jersey Mikes logo in terms of color, so it has a real familiar vibe. No hate just an observation. This used to be another restaurant (maybe even several) on the edge of an industrial zone/business park, but also not too far from several shopping strips. There's spacious seating inside, but in the later afternoon when I went, nobody was eating in. But quite a few take-out and third party pick-ups. I even saw a poster showcasing their catering aspect for common work lunches on the company dime. Good for them. Niles Canyon ($14.50/4*) I opted to up this to their combo meal which includes a bag of chips and a soda for another $5. So this was easily a $20 lunch meal without tipping yet. Pricey yes, but not because they are pricier than most, but that is just the going rate for eating a meal outside these days. $15 - $20 per person are common and anything under $15 is now considered cheap eats and getting harder to run into. This sandwich had slightly warmed up deli turkey that when stacked with the swiss cheese slices, kinda softened the cheese. It wasn't ooey gooey but the cheese wasn't firm and cold either. There was another layer of prosciutto as well which wasn't too noticeable but did add another dimension. I chose to go with the full produce choice, as I love the freshness of veggies to go with meat sandwiches. There was also a layer of fresh avo slices which lent a creamy richness to the bites. I tried one of their sliced breads to go for this sandwich, as I tried a sourdough roll for another sandwich that I got to-go for my work lunch the next day. That way I got to sample their bread offerings. Their sliced marbled rye bread is thick sliced, very soft and moist with a good bread chew. They use a good bread supplier for sure. On top of mayo and mustard which is common, they also put their Bomb Sauce which seems like a garlic-y spread of sorts. I can definitely smell it, but the taste isn't overly strong. I'd say super similar to Mr Pickles. Prosciutto Sandwich ($13/4*) This was an all-cold traditional sandwich. I took a couple of bites there to see how it was fresh from the counter, and I ate the rest the next day at work. I gotta say I liked it better the next day as all the flavors melded more together. Even tho the veggies get a bit mushier, I've always liked a well dressed salad sensation in sandwiches, kinda like a Muffeletta sandwich where it is refrigerated overnight, meant to be eaten the next day. Their prosciutto isn't the old school imported version, or at least I've never had one quite like it. I'm assuming a domestic version, even seemed more like cappicola to me as I sensed a tinge of fennel up in there. So pretty satisfied with my first visit. I'll definitely get sandwiches here again for work or day trip lunches. Pretty much on the same level as Togo's or Mr. Pickles, but just more local. With sandwich names as The Quarry Lakes, The Decoto and The Dumbarton, just pulls on my local lovin' heartstrings. Props.

We decided to go to Saigon Yum because we trying to find a place that had Bhan Mi... and since it was just the two of us, we decided to actually dine in. We were seated quickly, so I decided to use the restroom so I can wash my hands (as a sidenote, they're very clean bathrooms.). When I got back to the table and right as I was about to ask Meesha about what the menu looked like, she just said "sit down and take a look for yourself." It was a simple and and smaller than usual menu style. So many great choices, definitely one of those restaurants where you wanna keep coming back so you can try everything. Not only did the pictures look good, but also their menu items and the descriptions we're easy to sort through. Since it was just Meesh and me we decided to go for what we would usually go for when we go to a Vietnamese restaurant if the kids were with us (future planning ). I got the Pho Special with an add on short rib (more like "huge ribe" LoL) with the intent to share. Meesha got he Bhan Mi special, and as always the REAL avocado milk shakes and an iced vietnamese coffee for me (we were at the mid point of our errands run). EVERYTHING WAS GREAT! I do have to mention that their Iced Vietnamese coffee was hands down THEE best out of all the hundreds of restaurants we've been to. Not too watery, bold and strong and just enough milk/cream whatever secret ingredient they use all over the right amount of ice!!! I even personally complimented the lady who made it... that's how good it was. The Pho is everything you would expect and more. The broth was sooooooo good we even brought home the left over. The "Dino" Short Rib was perfect and easily fell off the bone. Just enough noodles to protiens ratio (for the Filipinos who have that rice to ulam ratio preferance). The Bhan Mi was perfect, crunchy outer shell and soft inside. Since we were too anxious to try it all, we forgot to take "Social Media Meal Pics" ‍. Clean, family friendly, spacious, courteous staff, and great food... We are definitely going to add this to our "HAVE TO GO" places nextime we head out that neck of the woods.
