Have been coming to this location for years. Way before current owners. The chicken is good and still has the same taste as it used to. The garlic bread still is bomb. Potato salad is still good too and I am unsure if they make it there. Taste is very similar to Will's Potato Salad. The spaghetti, under the older owners, used to be the star of the show and it's sad that it is just mid now. It's not as good as it used to be. The other thing to note is that the price is a lot higher than it used to be and we've been here enough over the years to not be so shocked with final price but it still is a bit pricey. I haven't been here in a few years but they now have a brand new menu and it looks a lot nicer. They have different deals on chicken and sides. The chicken was mostly decent to good, but the breast was overcooked and dry. The spice blend was tasty, and it was breaded well. The bread, a kind of sourdough french bread, wasn't that good. I would have preferred a crustier bread (maybe use a bain marie or something) - the crust was more on the pale side than the brown side. The spaghetti was super wet, noodles a bit overcooked. I've heard mixed reviews about this spot, mostly good so I decided to check it out myself. It was pretty empty for a Friday evening but I called in my order. When I arrived I had to wait another 10 min for the food to get ready. 4 piece chicken that came with 3 items (coleslaw, bread, and spaghetti) along with a 1/2 pint of potato salad came out to $20. The spaghetti had a weird plastic/soap taste to it. Maybe because it was sitting in containers all day? I ate it hoping I wouldn't get sick. Overall I was bummed the meal was not worth another visit. One reason I love to visit Bakersfield is the Basque food, in particular, the fried chicken. I don't know if it's intentional or convergent evolution, but Caesar's Chicken hits every note to appease my Basque fried chicken addiction: freshness, crisp, flavors, smell. Beware when you order online. I thought I was ordering directly from Caesar chicken but it turns out you order online then the payment is taken through door dash not the merchant. I had an issue because they automatically include a tip. I called the number on the sight. Turns out it's Caesar Chicken's number. They told me I had to contact door dash to get a refund even though the site clearly directs you to them. Issue: If you cancel the money is still taken out and given to the merchant This is clearly a scam. I've never had a sight take a tip out without allowing me to adjust it. Best fried chicken in the Bay Area. Been here for decades and still standing. Food spots come and go but this chicken tastes the same and the smell of it from the bag reminds me of the 90s which is sentimental to me personally. I grew up on Caesar's chicken living in San Lorenzo. I still crave and order it on occasion via Door Dash. I have to order on a night I'm just on my own for dinner as due to allergies my wife and kids can't partake. I usually get a 4 piece dinner with Spaghetti, fries, garlic bread,fries, and salad. It's all so good. I love the flavor of their chicken. This is a classic spot that I hope never closes. In the mood for Caesars chicken I don't live near there however it was worth the drive. I got the chicken. The flavor is still there, but I noticed the quality of the chicken is going down. It's very tough to eat very chewy very tough; you can't try to hide it with seasoning it doesn't work. Since the chicken is a poor quality, it doesn't absorb all the seasonings to make it moist. We had their 10 pcs chicken and comes along with a bowl of spaghetti and French bread. They've ample parking but their place is kinda old. But since it's only a take-out place, we don't care about what's inside or how it looks. The chicken is lightly battered and once you bite on it, it's juicy inside and crunchy outside. Their chicken is crisp, salty and flavorful. The coleslaw was also super tasty - it ACTUALLY had flavor and adding more vinegar than most places are willing to add made it a great side for the salty, fatty (again, in a good way ) chicken. The chicken meat itself was a tiny bit dry, but we've also had it from Caesar's where it was amazingly juicy - and, the seasoning on the chicken easily makes up for if you get it the random time where they've slightly over/fried it. Disgusting. We had this ordered for a company luncheon and everything besides the bland chicken was disgusting. Let's start with the chicken. Very bland and it was not crunchy at all. The ravioli were still frozen in the center. How hard is it to warm up frozen food. The potato salad looked like baby sick. Only a handful of people ate it and even the ones who ventured said it tasted the way it looked. I passed by this place for decades and always wondered if it was good.
