Baja Cheesesteak on Sammie Sourdough bread
    Jodelyn A.

Came here to get a quick bite to eat while my daughter had a tutoring session in the area. This was my first time eating here and I definitely enjoyed the sandwich I got. I ordered the Baja Cheesesteak on a Sammie Sourdough bread. Although the sandwich was a bit smaller than I expected for the price, the sandwich was really good and also very toasty. Will definitely be coming back again and trying a different sandwich next time :)

Awesome Place to Chill for lunch!!! Seating inside and outside. Mr Pickles is located in the middle of Safeway and Ross

A refund of the drink and chips would be nice. Sandwiches were not made with the extra items purchased. And the combo order was missing Cheeto chips and cookie. It seems like this Newark location does not follow the standard training like Mr Pickle's Union City.

2nd chance for redemption thanks to colleagues and I will say this time around was a much better experience. Ordered with DoorDash during the Happy Hour period so 30% off which is what made me even want to try again. Glad I did. The Italian on a French roll.

Mr Pickle's sandwich shop is well priced and has the absolute best salad! I'm not entirely sure what it is, but I loved the salad and will definitely be back for another one soon. As for the sandwiches and the pickles, they're not as good as the Mr Pickles sandwich shop in San Mateo/RWC. The BLT there packs in the bacon and is extra crispy. The pickles there are also better and crisp. I don't think I would reorder sandwiches from this specific location. I'm not sure if they source pickles separately, but the pickles at this location were limp with a hard and tough exterior skin. If you're looking for a good salad, this is a great option!

    1/2 Sandwich Listen Linda - $9
    Marshal R.

Short and sweet. The store is clean and neat. Sandwiches seem to be made cleanly as well. The staff was nice and friendly, welcoming. My wife really enjoyed her Listen Linda and my Fast Eddy was pretty good too. They both came with a cookie (which our sons will definitely take) Our biggest nitpick is the price. It's essentially a sit down restaurant price to take and go. The value just isn't there for me. But this location is good and if you love Mr Pickles, I'd say definitely come to this location.

    Got Beef (Whole)

Parking was plentiful and easy to find. Noise level was average. The interior is clean and spacious. He staff were friendly and were glad to take my order. I ordered the Got beef (5/5): the Dutch crunch bread was really good. Like it's name it was quite crunchy. The balance of meat was perfect. Lots of cheese and lettuce. I do wish there were more tomatoes though. Still a really good sandwich. The free cookie is also a nice touch. I thoroughly enjoyed the cookie too. It was crispy and chewy. Google/Apple Pay is accepted. Overall Mr. Pickles is a great sandwich store. I would definitely come back here.

Location is near the Mirchi cafe on Fremont Blvd in the plaza right next to Wonderland smoke shop. There is plenty of parking. Staff was super nice and helped me open the stuck door that you have to pull really hard on to get in. The market is small but curated and I was drawn to the imported potato chips. I picked up a bag of Lay's Masala chips I haven't had since I was in Mumbai, excited to eat it with my sandwich. The sandwich took about 10 minutes to make and panini-press and smelled delicious. However, when I got home I immediately noticed the color and thought they had mistakenly used roast beef. I looked at some of the other reviews and their doordash image and I'm confused on what I got. The pastrami was missing the distinct reddish-pink color from brining and black bark from smoking, I'm not sure how it was prepped in-house but it tasted like roast beef. I did enjoy the blueberry jam and pepperoncini combo.

I walked into this deli today hungry and wanting something very simple: a turkey sandwich on whole wheat. Instead of being greeted by a person behind the counter, I was directed to a kiosk. The kiosk was surprisingly limited and frustrating to use. I could not find an option for a basic turkey sandwich without scrolling through a long list of pre-built combinations that did not work for me. There was no easy way to customize and no visible option to simply order something straightforward. What made it worse was the complete absence of human interaction. There was no opportunity to ask a question or clarify an order. It felt transactional in the worst way. I was not alone. The couple next to me also gave up and left without ordering. We all walked out without ever speaking to a single person. If you are going to replace staff with kiosks, at least make the system intuitive and flexible. Sometimes people just want a simple sandwich and a quick, human exchange. I ended up leaving hungry and disappointed..

I love all places that have a theme that sets them apart from other establishments. Especially ones that have names for their menu items that are jovial. There's ample seating and the place is fun inside, with comic books on the walls, toys displayed and bright colors everywhere it really gives a burst of dopamine when you come in. We were greeted initially by the gentleman at the counter. He was super friendly and asked if we had any questions. Idk bout yall but when we go somewhere and the person refers to you as "boss" you can kinda feel the vibe that you're gonna get good service. And it was exactly spot on. The dude helped us with questions we had and after ordering let us know he'd bring our food to us. We waited a couple mins and our food came out! Initially my first thought was "damn, they're not stingy with their portions here!" We opted for the Goku fries and a regular Deadpool sandwich. It being our first time we wanted to try different flavors. BRUH, that food smacked SO HARD! We slammed everything and kept saying, wow this is good. But don't think there are multiple locations...yet. Upon receiving my sandwiches, it was wrapped in a paper with their company logo, and from a quick glance it is super similar to the Jersey Mikes logo in terms of color, so it has a real familiar vibe. No hate just an observation. This used to be another restaurant (maybe even several) on the edge of an industrial zone/business park, but also not too far from several shopping strips. There's spacious seating inside, but in the later afternoon when I went, nobody was eating in. But quite a few take-out and third party pick-ups. I even saw a poster showcasing their catering aspect for common work lunches on the company dime. Good for them. Niles Canyon ($14.50/4*) I opted to up this to their combo meal which includes a bag of chips and a soda for another $5. So this was easily a $20 lunch meal without tipping yet. Pricey yes, but not because they are pricier than most, but that is just the going rate for eating a meal outside these days. $15 - $20 per person are common and anything under $15 is now considered cheap eats and getting harder to run into. This sandwich had slightly warmed up deli turkey that when stacked with the swiss cheese slices, kinda softened the cheese. It wasn't ooey gooey but the cheese wasn't firm and cold either. There was another layer of prosciutto as well which wasn't too noticeable but did add another dimension. I chose to go with the full produce choice, as I love the freshness of veggies to go with meat sandwiches. There was also a layer of fresh avo slices which lent a creamy richness to the bites. I tried one of their sliced breads to go for this sandwich, as I tried a sourdough roll for another sandwich that I got to-go for my work lunch the next day. That way I got to sample their bread offerings. Their sliced marbled rye bread is thick sliced, very soft and moist with a good bread chew. They use a good bread supplier for sure. On top of mayo and mustard which is common, they also put their Bomb Sauce which seems like a garlic-y spread of sorts. I can definitely smell it, but the taste isn't overly strong. I'd say super similar to Mr Pickles. Prosciutto Sandwich ($13/4*) This was an all-cold traditional sandwich. I took a couple of bites there to see how it was fresh from the counter, and I ate the rest the next day at work. I gotta say I liked it better the next day as all the flavors melded more together. Even tho the veggies get a bit mushier, I've always liked a well dressed salad sensation in sandwiches, kinda like a Muffeletta sandwich where it is refrigerated overnight, meant to be eaten the next day. Their prosciutto isn't the old school imported version, or at least I've never had one quite like it. I'm assuming a domestic version, even seemed more like cappicola to me as I sensed a tinge of fennel up in there. So pretty satisfied with my first visit. I'll definitely get sandwiches here again for work or day trip lunches. Pretty much on the same level as Togo's or Mr. Pickles, but just more local. With sandwich names as The Quarry Lakes, The Decoto and The Dumbarton, just pulls on my local lovin' heartstrings. Props.
