Sign me up for a burger and pies! Bacon cheeseburger ($12.55): seasoned juicy patty, with crispy bacon, creamy cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, 4/5 stars. Gigante (breakfast) burrito ($13.15): this was giante indeed with three scambled eggs, hash browns, cheese, and I chose sausage. First off, the salsa comes in a packet, but it was bland unlike the salsa from McDonald's. This burrito had typical flavors, but a bit dry and I'd stick with a burger from here instead, 3.5/5 stars. French Fries ($3.55): were soggy and under seasoned, 2/5 stars. Onion rings ($4.75): crispy to a well-done, but the onions remained intact and were sweet, 3.5/5 stars. Pies ($6.95 each slice): pecan, lemon creme, banana cream, and blueberry cheesecake: first off, their slices are skimpy. Anyway, the best were the pecan and banana cream pies, as they were sweet. The pecan, of course had a crunchy texture, while the banana cream was light but satisfying, 4/5 stars. The other two were good, but inferior and it's based on your flavor preferences, 3.5/5 stars. Another spot that you order up front but when ready, you pick-up your food on the side of the kitchen.
This restaurant is very underrated. Surprisingly, not much people come to this place, but they serve all sorts of food: breakfast, burgers, and pies. It's quite unusual for a burger place to have many options for breakfast. It's like I'm in an American diner tbh. It was quiet when I got here, but someone must have left the cup on the seat. Seems like the staff didn't bother to take care of it, but it's not very trashy here. The burger is very good here, but the fries are soggy though. It would have been better if they make it crispy. I also wanted to try one of their pies. The lemon crème pie is very sweet though. I wanted to have some of it, but the burger and fries made me full. So, I'll have some of the pie later. Perhaps, I should try breakfast here though and also the onion rings too. Onion rings look really good and crispy online and hopefully they don't disappoint me.

Finding a parking space was a bit of a challenge on this trip, since there were a lot of cars at the Chick-fil-A next door, along with cars at the Wells Fargo as well. We found a parking space not too far away and noticed Nation's was fairly busy too. My wife and son enjoyed their cheeseburgers and I enjoyed my hamburger. We always order fries too. I usually ask for no tomatoes on my burgers, since I'm not a fan of them raw. However, I really like the size of the onion and amount of lettuce they add. Sometimes their onions have quite a bit of bite to them, but I enjoy them regardless. They do sometimes put a bit too much Mayo, but I'm fine with it. I like that they have hot sauce in bottles, to help kick-up my ketchup to enjoy with my fries. The chili cheese dogs are a bit messy, so I just use a fork and I'm good. The staff are always friendly and the restaurant is clean. We also enjoy their variety of pies. Our faves include their apple, lemon crème, chocolate crème and strawberry.
I usually just come for the pies since I live in southern California, but my cousin was hyping up the breakfast spot here, so I had to check it out. And she was not lying, the food was bomb, portion was huge, service was really good. Pies were even more delicious. Im only giving this review a 4 Star only because the table and high chair were sticky and dirty. So thay was kind of a turnoff. But all in all food, service, and the vibe was great.
We received a coupon in the mail and wanted to use it as the burgers were so good last time. We ordered two burgers and fries to go and they were delicious as ever. I'm still so surprised at how tasty the burgers are here. Made it a home run with a filling dinner that was really good and we got it for a deal! Can't beat that!
Nation's had always been one of my favorite places growing up. They've always had an amazing selection of burgers and pies. My go to place was always Orinda Nation's and I wasn't sure if any place was going to beat that. But, I think the Fremont location is my new favorite! The first thing that's always a must is going to the display case to see all the pies. That way you know which ones of those you're walking out with. I always go for the classic burger, it includes a juicy patty, tomato, onions, lettuce, and generous mayo sauce. This burger was delicious and all the good things I remembered about Nation's burgers. I had my all time favorite of the cheesecake. It's a bit smaller than I remember, but I guess expected due to shrinkflation. It was rich and truly delicious! I have to stay one thing that stood out was the staff was super friendly. The cashier who took my order was very personable and it made it an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this location, there's lots of delicious things to try!

With the inflation after COVID, eating out is so expensive even at fast food joints that serve burgers. Two people and the bill came out to $64+ after tip. The food was ok. Similar experience to eating at a Burger King or McDonald's but with a burger that's made to order. It was bigger, which justifies the price. The fries were standard. The milkshake was good...thick! Just the way I like it. The pies were yummy. I can see myself coming here to pick up a whole pie or cheesecake for future potlucks. Casual dining. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Came to pick up a pie for my coworker's birthday, she is not a cake fan and only likes key lime pie. I was excited to find out they now have key lime! The cashier who helped me was soo nice, she helped me decide what slice to pick for myself lol. I picked the banana cream slice and that was a 10/10! The key lime pie though was super rich and tarty, I would give it a 6/10 was just too tart for me. Love all the pie options and the prices are good, only $24 for a whole fresh baked pie!

Compared with the generous portions I remember from past visits, the burger and chili cheese fries were much smaller this time, and the strawberries on the cheesecake were soggy instead of fresh. I've been coming to Nation's in Fremont since I was a kid, so this review comes from someone who has always enjoyed eating here. It's one of my favorite burger spots, which is why this visit was disappointing. The burger was noticeably smaller than I remember and had only a small amount of lettuce. The chili cheese fries also seemed like a much smaller portion than they used to be. For dessert, I ordered cheesecake, but the soggy strawberries on top took away from it. Even though this wasn't one of my better visits, I still appreciate the rewards program. Their points app is easy to use, and I was able to redeem a free birthday slice of pie, which was a nice perk. The vibe was nice and the service was nice also . I'm hoping this was just an off day, because Nation's has been a favorite of mine for many years. I know how good the food can be, and I look forward to seeing the portions and quality return to what I expect. read more

They have one of my favorite apple pies. The crust is flaky and buttery, and the apples have the perfect sweetness. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. There's a nice little outdoor seating area that's covered by umbrellas. What's not to love. read more

I feel like all Nation's are consistent. This place was a staple for me during my college years and going out late night. The area is alright, but there's hella parking. The customer service is good, the guy who works later in night is actually hella cool. Its just a normal nations on the inside. Nothing too fancy, coffee and drinks, like a typical diner. $3 difference between a bacon cheeseburger and a cheeseburger. That's what stood out to me first. Well, being the frugal person that I am; decided to use the BOGO $1 coupon from the weekly circular mail. Ordered the gigante burrito with breakfast sausage (other meat choices included ham, linguaca, hamburger or bacon) and the bacon cheeseburger. I'd say maybe one short sausage link in each half of the burrito, which isn't that much. The potato hash will get you full. Eggs looked and tasted some form of powder base. Burger's a burger, def a bigger patty than most places. They toast the bun here, but the lettuce and tomato are raw (cold) so kinda cools down the temp of your burger rather quickly. If dining in, the restaurant is very clean in the cooking area and the floor. Self serve condiment station (bbq sauce, ketchup, and mustard). Not a lot of air circulation indoor though, but you'll sit nice and toasty very quickly. Lately I've been hooked on their grilled chicken sandwiches with a side of their onions rings. The onion rings are always super crunchy and battered to perfection. The fries are always good but the burger taste better with a side of onion rings. I add onions to my chicken sandwich and dip it into their BBQ sauce. To top it off I grab the pumpkin pie to go because it's the season for pumpkin everything! read more

The best desserts I've ever tried in my life ! 10/10 super recommend . I doordashed myself a pumpkin pie for thanksgiving and it's been the best pumpkin pie ever ! Super fresh , full of flavor . My family and I decided to try a new burger joint and we've always seen Nation's Giant Hamburgers for years now and never tried it...so we thought, why not! Parking was a little hard because of Chick-fil-A next door, but we got lucky and didn't park too far. I wonder if it's even more tough to find parking during the day. They have cute outdoor seating and the inside of the establishment was very clean. I love that they have a condiment station and another breakfast condiment / coffee station near the drink fountain. I saw some hot sauces too! The menu has a good amount of selection and it's not overwhelming which is nice because for me, a big menu is too much...I didn't even know they served breakfast here which I thought was pretty unique. I've heard a few good things about their pies though! But I didn't know if I would be too full after my burger, so I didn't order one this time around. My family and I got the cheeseburger w/ fries, bacon cheeseburger, and cookies & cream shake. I don't know if it was because my parents and I were talking a lot and we didn't hear anyone calling out for our order, but I feel like none of the employees announced our order when it was ready. I only saw our order sitting on the "pick up" area as I was grabbing ketchup. I only questioned if it was ours because the party ahead of us didn't have their food yet, but when I came up to the counter, they confirmed it was our order. Not sure why they didn't call or gave up so easily calling our order #, I even saw that they had a mic on the counter on their side...but it didn't bother me as much. I was a little disappointed when I got back to the table with the food because I could tell the burgers were sitting there for a few minutes since the burger wasn't that warm, nor were the fries either. The size of the burger is definitely BIG. They had a lot of raw onions and tomatoes in there...and I was a little skeptic because I'm not a super big fan of raw onion and tomatoes, but I thought I'd try it anyway! The onions did have some slices that really kicked, but I still enjoyed the cheeseburger itself! I like mayonnaise in my burger, so I'm glad they put a good amount in there...but if you're not a big fan, I'd ask to put less of it in there. The bacon cheeseburger was also good! And the fries were okay...nothing really special about it. Some were semi crispy, some were a bit soggy... As for the shake, they do advertise it as thick, but the texture was more thin than thick. It was a bit disappointing as well, but it had a lot of Oreo bits in there which was yummy! They have two gender neutral bathrooms which were clean, so it was nice that this establishment is really well cared for. Will I come back for the burgers? Maybe not...but I still have yet to try their breakfast items and pies! (Most people that came after us were mainly ordering their pies) Overall, it was a nice place to try out. We've visited this place a few times before but the first time ordering a One-egger and it was a disappointment. The menu is a false advertisement of a one-egger description. It clearly stated one egg and a choice of protein, ordered a hamburger patty and to my shock, it only came with HALF of the patty !?! I went back to the menu and nowhere does it say one egger comes with half serving of protein! Next time, our breakfast will be spent on Country Way, where the food is made and served exactly what the menu says (big portions) read more

I can't believe it's the first time I've ever tried this burger joint! It's fast food but notches above McDonald's, Burger King, and even In-n-out. The burger I got was super fresh, though the onion rings were a tad over cooked which is why I took off one star. The chili burger that my friend got and the chili fries I tried were decent, but nothing too memorable. Portion size was generous enough. Next time I come back I definitely want to try their pies - there's a wide selection and you can purchase by the slice or by the pie. I think they have seasonal ones as well! Located in the same complex as the Chick-fil-A with an abundance of parking. When you enter the restaurant you'll order first at the counter and then find a table. Refillable soda/juice cups available, and food came out quickly. Not very crowded for a Friday night so plenty of tables available! read more

BEST PIES IN FREMONT! Also, now until end of November, they're celebrating Fall with a special Pumpkin Pie Shake. What I didn't know was that they actually put a whole slice of pie IN THE SHAKE!! That's a meal in itself! Other than that, I loooooved the chili here! We got both a bowl of chili AND chili fries lol. After eating here, we even came back the next day to pick up more pies in the other flavors haha. read more

I checked the online order system and it looks like it is working now. We accept online orders from 6:30am to 11:45pm. If you tried before 6:30am it might not have let you because it doesn't know that we are open. The system also automatically…

Does this restaurant offer table service?
No...as in everything is self-serve here and they don't come to your table to ask you if you need anything except to clean up your table when you're done eating.
Do they usually have the sugar free apple pie available?
Nation's Giant Hamburgers has a "No Sugar Added Apple" pie available. The pie is a double crusted pie filled with granny smith apples. No refined sugar is used to sweeten the filling, but we do use apple juice. So, the pie is not "sugar free".
I've been trying to call since yesterday to reserve pies for Thanksgiving and I keep getting a busy signal. Did they change or disconnect their phone number?
