I got a pulled pork sando on sourdough. The picture on the menu showed on a regular bun but this on sourdough was so good!!! wish it came with some fries for the price but the sandwich was super good. Staff was friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the outside seating is nice in the right weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't like their coffee but that's not what i'm reviewing today.

Coffee bar with 1 barista taking orders and making them.
Jessica B.

They need to hire more baristas or a permanent cashier. Great place, good food and coffee but LONG wait. This is the 2nd time I experience this here. I placed an order online 10:20am nothing crazy just 2 hot chocolates (15-20min wait) and when I arrive to pick up the order it's still not ready and wait ANOTHER 20 mins (Received my at 11:00am) The barista is going back and forth taking orders and making them. I noticed another barista stepping in (I'm thinking good, she has help) to make 1 coffee and then left to the back and never came out. I'm also writing this because I noticed she was rushing making my drink and I received my 2 hot chocolates only to see there's barely any drink inside my cups 3/4 full even with whipped cream it wasn't full. Honestly so disappointing.

"No Coffee Shop Parking" signs in the parking lot behind the cafe, at the parking spots closest to the cafe

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute coffee shop to be productive at! I went during the afternoon and there were a lot of people there working/studying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The AC was running so it was a little refuge from the heat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a large outdoor patio that is partly covered, and plants provided shade to some of the tables that weren't covered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the honey lavender latte iced and it exceeded my expectations. Both the lavender and honey were prominent, it was a good balance of flavors. I had taken a few sips after receiving the drink and then didn't drink it again until after all the ice had melted, and it didn't even taste super watered down. A lot of reviews mention parking in Apna Mandi's parking lot behind the cafe. However, the spots in that lot closest to the coffee shop have bright red signs saying "No Coffee Shop Parking" and that violators will be towed. I ended up following one of the reviews and parked in the Safeway plaza across the street. It would be nice if Hops & Beans clarified whether or not customers actually allowed to park in the lot behind the cafe, or any alternatives.

Went for breakfast here with some friends. I have very good things to say about it. The food was delicious and pretty prompt. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice informal meeting place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a crepe. It had so much chicken and vegetables. I loved it. It came with a salad which made it lunch for me.

An excellent place for breakfast or brunch. A tad pricey but the food is on point. The crepes are great. They have savory and sweet versions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Expect crowds on a Sunday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cappuccino hit the spot to wash down all the food.

I really wanted to like this place since I've been trying to find a place to study that's close to Hayward. Parking is very confusing. The parking lot in the back is technically for the grocery store only so keep that in mind just in case they start towing vehicles. This location has a patio that I wish I should've just sat in instead of sitting inside. I ordered the artichoke & cucumber toast with salmon, the lavander latter and the jamaica tea. I did enjoy the toast although the salmon was a bit to fishy for me and the fishyness lingered in my mouth the whole night. The Lavander latte was actually really good. Perfect sweetness and perfect amount of lavander and not over powering. I didn't expdect the Jamaica tea to be bubbly but it was a good drink. I did request for it to not be to sweet so they were able to adjust that. So I remove one star because of the cleanliness. I was seating by the window and just saw how dirty the base of the window is. I don't think they have wiped down their windows or the surrounding areas since there's just crumbs everywhere. I'm not sure when their last general cleaning or deep cleaning was but they are definitely due for one. Another reason why I removed another star is safety. Given that this location is in their downtown area, the amount of unhoused people that goes in and out of this cafe to sit and get water was high. I probably saw three just in the one hour in a half I was there. I just felt so uneasy, and could not focus on studying because I was more busy making sure that my surroundings were safe so I eventually left since I couldn't focus. This place definitely gets pretty busy so if you're going to come especially with a large group be prepared to might not have a table. They do have a lot of seating availability but it fills up fast.

Glad this yelp suggestion was legit!! LORD!! The avocado toast! Fresh, good size, egg on top! Price was right! DELICIOSO!! And my lavender honey soy latte on a holiday- after a 3 hrs drive! AMAZING! I'm super happy I stopped by! The staff... I could kindly suggest up the costumer service, smile, I could hardly hear her when I asked about the bathroom! [[HIGHLIGHT]]bathroom was extremely dirty and it was only 8:10am![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I get it early morning! LOVE IT! I'll definitely come back!

A hidden gem in the heart of Fremont with cool ambience and even better flavors. First thing you notice is the vibe of this cafe. This is one the top reasons I'm going to come back to this cafe again and again. They have many interesting coffee options. I have tried several loved them all. My husband prefers stronger coffee and this cafe has served him well. I have tried their chicken crepe. This is very flavorful and huge quality. I had dressing on the side. This dressing is game changer. We tried meditarían toast, that was also very flavorful with some unique take on toast. My server was very attentive, too. Overall, definitely going to visit this cafe !!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cozy and welcoming cafe that is a gem of Fremont![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff is always helpful and friendly, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the vibe of course is so warm, it's a great place to get some work done or hang out (especially with your dog on the patio!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed my iced matcha, it was clearly high quality and they didn't skimp on the amount of powder. It's a fantastic, straight to the point, no frills matcha. Would love to come here again with my dog and sit outside on a nice day and try their beer or hard kombucha as well!

Hot Mocha, Strawberry Nutella Crepe, Iced Hazelnut Latte

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance seemed dull and lazy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The person at the counter didn't seem excited about her task to greet people coming in or to talk about items on the menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Furthermore, we asked if we could sit outside in the patio area after ordering and the reply was "yes" and we were given a number on a stand assumingely to place on the table for the food and drinks to be brought out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a decent amount of waiting time, we went in to check on the order and apparently they couldn't find us so they left our order at the counter; not sure how long it has been sitting there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We expected to experience a friendly coffee and treat corner shop, but it was far from it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The items ordered weren't impressive. Possibly a fitting establishment if you ordered and took items to go.

A great go to for me whenever I need to meet someone during weekdays for coffee. The weekends get a bit crowded with grocery shoppers and parking can be hard then. There is a variety of coffee, tea and food options. There are lots of inside seating and outside seating. The service is quick and it is quiet.

Briggitte L.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a cute coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The barista was very nice. This place must be popular because we had to wait a few minutes for a table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was cozy and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wish my hot drink had actually been hot. It was like warm. But my friend enjoyed her drink. I recommend this coffee shop!

Avocado toast
Jimmy R.

Fantastic food at a reasonable price. Was not expecting this good a breakfast for a coffee shop but it was every bit as good as a regular sit down place. The breakfast crepe included a honey mustard drizzle that was surprisingly good and complimented the breakfast! Service was good (stand up to order) and ambiance is very coffee shop with a touch of hipster to it. Very good, worth coming back just for breakfast!

Island Latte was the better flavor 8.5/10

A staff member greeted me when I came in and let me know I could order at the cash register when I was ready. I ordered a large frozen caramel latte and they made it immediately. It was delicious -- if you like sweet drinks, you will not be disappointed. It was actually almost too sweet for me, and I'm the type to ask for extra caramel in my caramel lattes. The drink was well blended and the large size is 24 oz, so good portion there. The paper menu needs to be updated though, because it listed the drink price as $6.15 but I was charged $6.50. In addition to frozen (frappe) coffee drinks, they have fruit freeze drinks and juices. I was there at lunchtime during a weekday and there were people dining in. The crepes smelled really good, I'll have to come back and try them. They have a nice shaded outdoor dining area.

I was personally craving something more savory, so I got a tuna sandwich. Wasn't bad, but definitely wish I got a crepe as they all looked good! They do have both sweet crepes and savory crepes. Good for large and small groups. Good for kids. Plenty of parking via a shared parking lot with other businesses.

YEMENI COFFEE and pastries in Fremont! They are a franchise with a lot of locations in Michigan and…read moreNY but this is currently their ONLY location in California so consider it a special exclusive for now. They have coffee and pastries you will not find anywhere else in Fremont and remind me of some of the "Little Arabia" neighborhoods you normally only find in LA on the West Coast. Mufawar Coffee : Before cappuccinos and lattes, there was Mufawar. Born in Yemen's highlands, this creamy, cardamom-infused coffee made my morning, I loved being able to choose the sweetness level. Bee Bites: Sliced like a pie, covered in honey, delicious pastry with cheese inside. The kids loved this and debated over who got the last piece. Fatayer: I've had the chicken, beef, and spinach & feta and all were excellent. It's snack-sized and not too big and actually a perfect size for me to pair with their excellent coffee. Musakhan Chicken Roll: Chicken, olive oil, onion, spices. Again, I might be in the minority but I like snack sized food and not too big. I split this in half as a 2 snacks and it was excellent. Za'atar and cheese croissant: Za'atar is one of my favorite spice combos and Ioved it on this croissant, I reheated this in a toaster oven at 350 degrees at home and it was excellent! Frozen Blend: Pineapple Mango: Comes in a very cool glass and the kids destroyed this, they loved it so much!

The interior is literally gigantic,…read morenot sure if there's free wifi but this would definitely be the most perfect / aesthetic space to get some studying done in. I'm a huge fan of really strong coffee flavor / pistachio lattes, so I definitely had high expectations going in. The prices are pretty steep for lattes - with specialties at $8-9 a latte, so hopefully they're making their syrups in house... not sure, but definitely wish I asked! As it's a Monday afternoon in the middle of the work day, there was no line at all & the drinks came out pretty quickly. We ordered the biscoff and pistachio latte -- from first glance, they were suuuper milky, which sounds silly because duh, lattes are majority milk, but it really dilutes the taste of the espresso & makes the drink mainly taste like sweet syrup. Unfortunately, these drinks are not very strong at all :/. I'm sure you can customize your drinks, but as they come, they are extremely sweet! The initial sip of the biscoff latte tastes the most like its name sake, but after a while, it just tastes like your run of the mill vanilla latte. The pistachio latte on the other hand has a slight pistachio / floral taste to it, but it really doesn't have all that strong of a taste to it either. Overall, I wouldn't say that the lattes are bad, but they're just alright, especially for what you pay for. I think if I returned, it would be to try a couple of the huge assortment of cakes they offer, but probably not for the drinks -- but def recommend trying it for yourself, as always!

The parking lot was completely full, so you have to be patient with finding a parking spot. It was pretty crowded and because of that, everyone had to self order. Throughout my time there, lots of customers came through, but I received my drink relatively quickly. As for the drink itself, the house mocha was okay, but I'm glad that I was able to try the Hojicha cream! The mocha + Hojicha cream was an interesting combination, but I think I would try their Hojicha Latte the next time I go. They have matcha, Hojicha, and seasonal offerings as well (like their banana cream!). There is a single bathroom (with code), WiFi (spotty sometimes but I was still able to get what I needed done), and a decent amount of seating (depending on time you go) with available outlets. I worked there from 12 to almost closing, and was able to get the table near the window + an outlet! I was truly sat. Overall, I would come again to try a different drink and hope to snag a table to work! If you're able to get a good spot to sit, it's a solid place to be productive. Thanks Lac Coffee!

Of the times that I've been there, it's mostly empty and clean, and the trash bins are not overflowing. The donuts are absolutely delicious. The brioche donut is soft but holds the fillings in well. There's also a bit of crunch from the sugar on the outside of the donut. There's an ample amount of filling, so you get to taste the flavors. So far, my favorites are Irish cream, lemon blueberry, and banana cream. It is a bit messy to eat, so have napkins and a small plate to catch any sugar or filling that may fall out when you bite into it. We had their chocolate chip cookie. It looked like a big mound of baked dough. Overall, it was okay. I would easily skip this for the donuts instead. I haven't tried their coffees, but my daughter loves the hot chocolate, and I have been enjoying their calamansi juice. It's nice and tart, not too sweet.
