Thank goodness for Sanaa! I hope ya'll put Starbucks out of business ;) TLDR; third space open later than anywhere else in this area, has solid wifi, great drinks and food items for every pallet. They are improving, give them time. I've been coming here since day 1 (they opened a couple of months ago). I've been almost every week since so I feel this is a good time to leave a review. Drinks? Excellent. I've tried their Sanaa latte, Yemeni latte, Matcha latte, Dirty Chai, Pistachio latte, and Adeni Chai. My go-to was the Sanaa latte for a while, but it changes week to week. Every single one has been great. There were times where my drink didn't taste right, but I always ask for them to fix it and they've always been very nice about it. Food? The best. I've tried almost every Fatayer and loved them all, except the Spinach. It was a little too bitter for my taste, but is probably yummy to someone else. I've tried the chicken muskan and the honey comb pastry, both delicious. Ugh and the biscoff cheesecake!!! The birds nest (next to the register) SO GOOD. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything sweet/savory here. Some things might not be for you depending on your taste buds, but doesn't warrant writing off the whole menu. Service, it was rough in the beginning , but I have noticed improvements over time. I can tell they are slowly getting their systems in order. They still have their off days, but I do not think that justifies a one star rating like some have left. People are human, give them a break. A note to other reviewers: businesses cannot improve if you don't let them know something is wrong. Instead of rushing to leave a negative review maybe talk to the manager/staff first so they can rectify the issue. I also don't think basing your review off of one bad day is fare (the day something was off with their online ordering system). Final notes: thank you for fixing the wi-fi and AC. The menu is also less confusing now compared to the old one. Keep making improvements. Ya'll are on the right track! So so grateful to have this beautiful, much needed, third space 5 minutes from my house. See ya'll soon!

Visited on Mother's Day. It's a beautiful cafe. I enjoyed a Biscoff latte with almond milk. It wasn't too sweet. My husband and I enjoyed the beef fatayer and chicken fatayer. We shared the Dubai croissant. It was so flavorful and flaky. Our son said their pistachio latte and pistachio croissant was perfection. Definitely coming back.

When you walk in the vibe is amazing you get comfortable cafe feeling. With an open space and bright lighting! You can go here to study (WiFi available) work spaces, seating for large to small groups. Customer service was amazing (shout out to Naz or Nas) Biscoff latte was 10/10 White chocolate mocha latte 10/10 (if you like sweeter coffee this is for you) We'll be coming here again especially since they have late hours and variety of specialty drinks + food!

I love this location, it's conveniently on my way home so no having to detour and go all the way to Oakland when I want to indulge in a sweet craving. Sana'a's is definitely my guilty pleasure. The ambience is so nice, space is open and cozy, yet roomy. It looks absolutely luxurious inside and out! Service was the best. They were pretty prompt for how busy it was last Friday night at 8:30pm when I decided to stop by. So glad I did! I got the Pistachio Cheesecake my favorite 10/10 Beef Fatayer 10/10 Iced Biscoff Latte 10/10 From service to food to drinks, it was all amazing. I definitely recommend if you're in the area.

First timer and I'm hooked! Parking lot is a bit small but there is also street parking. The place is spacious and has plenty of seats and outlets for working. The staff was nice and helpful. I ended up ordering the iced pistachio latte less sweet and it was perfect. It was soooo good. I defined want to come back and try some of the pastries and other drinks.

Such a calming quiet llace to enjoy some good coffee, tea, or refresher of your choice. Lovely staff that recommend the Mofawar and I loved that drink! This is a great spot to come and study or work because of the spacious seating area and tranquil atmosphere. I love the Khaliat Nahl which is a cream cheese stuffed bread drizzled with honey. I also appreciate their hours open from 6am until 12 midnight.

The latest Yemeni coffee and pastry chain offering a variety of espresso drinks, Specialty Yemeni iced and hot drinks, refreshers, smoothies, teas and traditional sweet and savory items. I've been to their other locations in Downtown Oakland and in Mountain View and really enjoy: :: Adeni chai - black tea, cardamom and cream - strong milk tea with evaporated milk :: Yemeni Mofawar - medium roast coffee with cream and cardamom Sana'a Cafe drinks are bold with strong cardamon and other spices. Pastries are decent and worth a try. If you like cheesecake, Sana'a Cafe's version has Middle Eastern flavors (rose, pistachio) lighter texture, less sweet and not as dense/creamy as American styles. Texture more of an unbaked cheesecake and not a fan...just a preference. Baklavas are flaky and not overly sweet. I prefer the savory items like the chicken muskhan (rolled flatbread with shredded chicken, caramelized onions, sumac, cinnamon) and fatayers (dough with ground meat, spices, onions and folded into a triangle) chicken and beef. Both delicious but wish they had offered some yogurt-tahini sauce to accompany. Service ok. Interior beautiful and spacious with plenty of patio seating. Private parking lot behind with limited street parking on busy Mission Blvd.

Sana'a Cafe opened recently where Entreprise Rent-A-Car once was. Interior upgraded to Sana'a's signature ambience. Seating inside and out. Soft music in background. Small parking lot. Some street parking available. Orders by apps are 20% off. Ordered at counter. Got drink in 10 minutes. Named called out. Referigerated cases next to order counter holds eats, pastries, Cake slices Offerings (Yemeni inspired): refreshers, pastries. Cake slices, empanadas, cold & hot drinks, teas, smoothies...merch Sips: Qisher (hot) 16 oz. (5.99) No sugar -made from dried coffee bean husks. Flavored with cinnamon & ginger. Tasted smooth, not bold. Subtly flavorful. -menu lists price as 5.49, didn't bother to complain. 4.5 stars Semi-Worthy:YMMV. Service:ok. Quantiy: reasonable. Need to adjust price on menu. Good deal ordering by app. *building labled as Sana'a HQ.

My coworker had been talking about coming here since before they opened so we decided to just stop by and get some drinks for lunch. Interior is sooo beautiful and perfectly decorated. It is incredibly clean with plenty of really nice seating. Employees are really nice and the owner (i think?) talked to us for a bit and gave me a free cheesecake. They were so nice and service was fast!! I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. It was ok! I think i should have gotten it with regular milk and i do like my matcha on the stronger side. Next time i'd like to try the biscoff latte or one of the Yemeni specialty drinks!! I also ordered some baklava (easily one of my top 5 desserts ever) and they were rlly good. My fave was the cheesecake the owner gave me!! Soft, fluffy cheesecake. Not too dense like a NY cheesecake. Graham cracker crust was amazinggggg and it had pistachio cream drizzle (i think) that paired sooo well. So delish, drooling thinking ab it rn lol. Can't wait to go here again!!

We are excited that this location finally opened. As with their other locations, the interior of the cafe is beautiful. We came here for a pistachio latte and also a pastry on a weekday morning. It was definitely a nice treat and a little pricier, but the ambiance of this shop is nice. The pistachio latte is a little more on the sweeter side, but still pretty good. The pistachio baklava was pretty good -- very crunchy, sweet and the pistachios were fresh. However, we do think the oil it was prepared with was kind of old, since it had a sharp taste to it otherwise the pastry was fresh, just had old oil. Overall, we are happy that this shop is in the neighborhood with a beautiful space to study and meet with folks, and a big parking lot. This is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Saw this on my friend's social media and wanted to check it out. Interior: beautiful golden trim layout with very nice decor. However, tables were a little dirty. Customer service: really nice gal at the front and told us about their soft opening. Food/drinks: Matcha latte, Yemeni Iced coffee (tastes just like horchata coffee), and chocolate baklava. Drinks were really good especially the Yemeni iced coffee. The matcha latte was decent but very sweet. Would definitely return for the Yemeni coffee. The baklava was very moist with just twist of chocolate.

This cafe is very large and clean. I love the decor. It was so nice that they have their own parking lot. There's a lot of seating to hang out and it's noticed a bunch of outlets if you need to work. I really liked the chai and Yemeni latte. We tried the pastries and liked the za'atar croissant but found the feta filling was a bit cold. The beef fatayar was better and more filling.

Was meeting up with a friend from Berkeley and he found this spot in between the both of us. Pros and cons! + The coffee - holy shit. Got a cortado. And drank it without sugar it was so good. A touch of bitter (it's coffee - duh!) but so smooth, almost nutty but buttery at the same time. + Got a chicken salad sandwich. It came stacked HIGH with hints of sweetness and curry. Freshest produce. Honestly, I was hungry but could only eat half of it, it was so big. + Friend got a warmed cinnamon bun. Incredible. Yeasty, chewy almost crisp on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. + Wide open space inside -- high ceilings, one big central area. Not tucked away spaces -- which might or might not match your preference. + Perfect amount of coffeehouse buzz. Music playing lowish in the background and lots of conversations. Just enough to quell my ADHD tendencies. * Honestly can't think of any negatives. Prices are a bit high but happy to pay it for such a quality experience. I think my cortado was decently priced -- maybe $6 or so? Sandwich was $18 or so but done really well and came with a bowl of soup (chips, fruit, and something else was an option instead of soup, but tomato bisque with a sandwich? Divine.) - An hour away from where I live but if you live anywhere East Bay, my curse is your blessing ;-)

Unfortunately, our order was incorrect, the peppermint was missing from the matcha, and the drinks weren't properly mixed, so the matcha had separated. The biscuits were also a letdown. I was told they only have medium and dark, but the medium tastes pretty light. I asked if the beans were washed or natural, and she couldn't tell me, and wasn't even sure what that was. I should have taken that as a warning that these beans were not the same level as Devout Coffee roasters beans, which is what I usually get. However, since Airborne was cheaper than the beans I usually get from Devout Coffee, I went ahead and bought a pound of Morning Buzz. This morning, I brewed a comparison between the Airborne Roasting Morning Buzz, and my last remaining light roast beans from Devout Coffee, which at that point was several months old, whereas the Airborne beans where freshly roasted. Well, even so, the Devout light roast beans were far superior in taste than the Airborne beans. The Airborne tasted too burnt, and lacked those subtle flavors that make coffee so enjoyable. It was just a one-note band with loud speakers. My recommendation is, if you like a light roast, and sophisticated flavors in your coffee, get something else. I understand a lot of people do enjoy the burnt flavor (Starbucks, anyone?), but I wish they wouldn't have told me the medium roast tasted like a light roast: it doesn't. Came here with a friend in the late afternoon to catch up 2 hours before closing. The store was…read morePACKED. There was a mix of people studying, working, and chatting with friends; it's a very lively community spot. Despite how chaotic it was, the space was generally clean and the service was great. The cashier made sure to get our names and address us by them. The decor is beautiful, feeling intentionally designed. I thought it was really cool that they have a slow coffee bar area specifically for pour overs (I think) where tech isn't allowed, so people are just supposed to sit and enjoy their coffee. I've never seen that before in a coffee shop. The menu is extensive. Since it was later in the day, the baked goods were half off, which was a nice surprise. I got a blueberry latte and an Asian fusion focaccia bread. Blueberry latte - I liked this! The blueberry flavor was subtle and not overly sweet or artificial tasting. It added a light fruity note to the coffee without overpowering it. Fusion focaccia bread - This was tasty, but I felt the original price was steep ($12). My piece was around 6" x 3". The shiitake mushroom flavor was strong and I loved the addition of scallions and Chinese sausage sprinkled throughout the bread. Overall, this is such a cool addition to coffee culture in the South Bay. It feels like shop from a big city like SF, NYC, or Chicago instead of little ol' SJ. The ambiance and options are solid, and it has a vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. You can be a casual coffee drinker or a coffee snob and it will be a satisfying experience.

Taste like sour coffee with coconut shavings. - Cardamom orange latte hot: Surprisingly good like a creamy orange coffee. - Egg sando: I like the added trout caviar, adds a nice pop of color and flavor. - Shio pan: Very good crispy outside and soft inside. I will say the black salt on the top was a lil strong. I didn't realize and took one huge bite of salt and ended up having to scrape some off the rest of the bread - Gochujang corn cheese scallion focaccia: Very big, generous slice. I would like more corn cheese throughout the bread. Good service, nice space with seating, but can get busy. Please do clean up after yourself if you decided to sit.
