I've been here a handful of times now but after today, it cementede opinion of this place for breakfast. This place is among the best breakfast spots in the area. I'm a big country gravy guy and always felt like their gravy was special. I found out today that their gravy is homemade, which explained why it tasted so good. Add that stuff on anything and it will be delicious. Gravy love, aside, there menu is pretty expansive but not overwhelming. You'll get your usual stuff like pancakes, waffles, Benedicts, omlette, and. scrambles. They cover a lot of items and I'll definitely be back to try more, especially their crab cake Benedict and patty melt. I'm particularly mad that I forgot my server's name, I do remember she had teal streaks in her hair. She was probably one of the nicest servers I have ever met. She was helpful with explaining the menu, made sure we were good on condiments and refills, and was the perfect amount of fun and professionalism. Breakfast spots but seem like a dime a dozen but in this economy, you gotta set yourself apart from the rest and this place definitely does just that with their food and service. read more

The food was good. Not great. Not bad. I liked my Maserati Omelet. The hash browns were good. Wait to be seated for 2, was not long, maybe 10 minutes. The wait for the food was at least 30 minutes. Not entirely bad because this tells me they are making the food fresh, not microwaved or warmed up. The service was nice and friendly but no one came back to check on us, but they were pretty busy. The parking is terrible. Not the restaurant's fault but be prepared for small spaces and not many spaces. read more

Our first time here. Friday lunchtime was a 15 minute wait for a table. We ordered and were told it would likely be a 30 minute wait for food as the kitchen was backed up. (Probably should have led with that info before ordering) We ordered breakfast foods, but the server failed to anticipate us needing ketchup, hot sauce, or jam for our meals. Our food was delivered without condiments and without our toast. We had to wait and wait for those and when the toast did arrive, it was under toasted and over buttered. I suspect David, our server, is either new to serving or not properly trained since he presented three packets of jam in his hand for the toast. Please bring them on a plate, in a basket, or other another appetizing presentation in the future. Food was okay, but not worth going back for. I left feeling like I'm just too old for this place. Once you get past the parking, find your way to the location in this strip mall where you can't actually read the sign. That's the Breeze cafe. Inside is a bit crowded with an awkward layout (we were seated at a table where I stuck out and I felt like I was on display or would trip passers by.) This is where it gets good. The menu was big, and sooo many options look good! I got the Breeze Benedict, he got the Maserati omelet. I love Benedicts but hate runny eggs. They hard cooked the eggs perfectly to my delight. The tri-tip was tasty and tender, and the flavors worked perfectly together. I'm even a fan of the hash browns... crispy outside, moist inside, and not burnt or overcooked. He enjoyed his omelet too. The service was friendly but slow. The food was fresh and definitely worth waiting for. Oh, and embracing technology is a plus! We love to scan the QR code and use Google or Apple pay. Lovely space and wonderful service. I ordered a single pancake and machaca with fries. Traditionally, machaca is prepared with rehydrated jerky-like beef that softens in the juices of tomatoes and onions and is then fried with eggs. Most places now make it with just stewed shredded beef, but here it was prepared with chopped up thin slices of beef, and lacked seasoning. However, the twice-fried French fries were some of the best I've ever had. Worth the upgrade. Pancake was a generous size, but had a gluey texture. I had a few bites but left most of it. A friend and I were looking to meet for brunch in the Fremont area, and found this place on Yelp. This place is in a big complex of other businesses, and they just have a small sign in front, so it was a little bit hard to find! The parking lot seemed pretty busy on a Sunday morning, but not impossible to find a spot. I walked in and saw people waiting, but we were able to get a seat right away. They have a large menu of breakfast and lunch options. I got the Santa Cruz Scramble which was pretty good. I like how you can get a pancake on the side instead of toast. The breakfast boards looked interesting, enough for a couple people. They were good about bringing more coffee and water. I've come here twice and both times were a different experience. The first time I came here with a few friends, we didn't have any issues. We didn't wait that long, maybe 10 minutes? It was also memorial Day weekend. And our server was really nice and food came out pretty quick. The second time I came here, my experience was completely different. We were put on the wait list which was almost a 30-minute wait. It was pretty busy that day, Sunday around brunch. We were seated in a table where one side is a booth and the other side is a chair, but you can tell that they just wanted to cram as many tables as they could in the restaurant. The spacing in between the tables to our sides was so small, we had to physically move our table just to get in and out of the booth. And we did the same thing when other tables were getting out of the booth. It was also really loud in there. We didn't really like it since we were there to have a nice, chill brunch. We could barely hear each other talking. The service was really slow and it was hard to flag down our server. The food was good and reasonably priced, but the space and ambiance wasn't what we hoped it would be. Another downside is the parking lot. There are so many shops in one small plaza, they didn't plan enough parking spaces for customers. We noticed people having to park in the plaza next door, which I wasn't sure if we were allowed to do. So we just had to drive around the plaza and find whatever spot we could. After being there twice, I don't think I would eat at the restaurant again. I would maybe order to go, but since we don't live in the area it's not likely we would drive all the way there to pick up food. read more

Came at 10 am on a Wednesday, had a random 2 hour long lunch break, so decided to come to breeze not only because of the reviews but I was in the mood for some brunch. The restaurant itself is in a nice plaza with plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean and looks like they had bar seating as well. On their special menu they had their strawberry matcha which I'm already a fan of, but this strawberry matcha is my favorite in all the area so far. The avocado toast was also very good, the red onion on top paired well with the avocado and cherry tomato, the fact it came with 2 eggs as well also justifies it as a meal in itself. I also ordered the half order or at this restaurant "fun" size I think Is what it said on the menu, of the tres leches French toast. It's also my favorite French toast because it's not overly sweet like some other tres leches' that I've had, the strawberries tasted very fresh too. The side sausage and bacon were good also however, the side link sausage it's not as greasy or salty as other places which I enjoyed a lot, because although it seems like hearty food it didn't feel heavy at all. I came by this spot because my friend was next door. The outside of the building looks small, but when I stepped in, it's actually pretty roomy. The lady who greeted me was super nice and energetic. I ordered their banana cream matcha and their strawberry cream matcha. The banana was really good. Not too strong or overpowering, just a nice hint of banana. The strawberry though was a bit of a disappointment. The strawberry flavor overpowered the matcha and it tasted a little too artificial for me. But the food looked really good. If you're looking for a brunch spot that expands on breakfast standards and has a great caffeine bar, then this is the spot. You'll find the inside of the restaurant pretty unassuming, with a little photo op area, with the seating area not being anything too fancy or upscale. I had croissant French toast, and chipotle breakfast skillet, a banana matcha and an ube latte. The drinks were very good, with the matcha being just gentle enough to play well with the banana cream. (Although this matcha might not be great for those true matcha fans who enjoy strong matcha) The ube latte was all very good but definitely on the sweeter side. I also found it very odd that when you get the ube latte, you are asked if you want espresso in it? (Latte: a traditional Italian drink made with espresso and large quantity of milk) As for the food, the quantities are all a good enough size to fill up most peoples appetite. The croissant French toast was amazing! It really is a one of a kind experience. The chipotle skillet was also very good, it didn't feel too heavy or greasy, which is always a concern with dishes like that. The only gripe I had was that you had to wait a while to get seated and then depending on your server, it may take another while for them to get through all the tables ahead of you. So be prepared to wait if you go on the weekends. Still, this cafe is definitely worth the try once! And maybe you'll find something on the menu that will make you want to come back again and again. Overall - 6/10 Breeze Cafe was overall a pretty mediocre experience. On paper, a lot of the menu items sound really good and make you excited to order, but once the food actually comes out, it just doesn't hit the way you expect. Everything looked solid, but the flavors were pretty underwhelming--nothing was bad, just kind of lacking that punch you hope for. One thing that stood out (in a not-so-great way) was the fresh orange juice machine being out of oranges. It's a small detail, but when you're expecting something fresh and they can't deliver, it takes away from the experience a bit. That said, I'll give them credit where it's due--the cafe was decorated for Easter, and you can tell they put effort into creating a festive atmosphere. Great lively place to have brunch after Church. We drove from Hayward to eat. This Place was busy on a Sunday afternoon around 1pm. Food came out fast and looking amazing! Service is rather quick. They have a lot of options, not a lot of menus but if I remember, there's a QR code you can scan. The americano is not good- there's a flavor to it, not sure what they put it in, and it's weak. Friend got the drip, said there's nothing to write home about. I had the chilaquiles- they were tasty, a little spicy, as I expected. Friend asked for extra crispy hash browns but they were not at all crispy. I usually try to get something different so I can try the entire menu and this time I grabbed the Machaca Scramble. Overall dish was good as it came with the scramble itself and a side of potatoes. I do think the steak could've been salted a little more. I probably wouldn't get this again, but I do think it would've been cool to have a tortilla as a substitute instead of bread so I could wrap it into my own burrito. The menu is extensive with lots of options and they let you customize with your preferences. They brought our food and it looked delicious but it took a while for them to bring us a fork and knife. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and kept my coffee filled. The restruant was clean and bright. When we got there we were seated right away. The menu is extensive. Everything sounded good so it was difficult to choose. We settled on the tres leche French toast and the cinnamon roll French toast with a side of sausages. The Tres leches was good as long as there was sauce. However, the sauce did not cover the bread so it was dry. The cinnamon roll French toast was over cooked and dry. Only the center portion of the role tasted like cinnamon. The sausages were good. If we ever back in the area, the eggs, Benedict options looked really good as we saw plates going by. I will have to say from the outside it is hard to find the sign is black with white faded lettering (recommend they change sign if they want more customers) We both had a difficult time finding the location. The Breeze Cafe is located in a strip mall just outside of Newpark Mall. There's plenty of parking in the surface lot and although the lot is shared with a number of other businesses, I have yet to see it even half full. The service here is great - all of the staff are helpful and accommodating, however, during the breakfast rush, the food can come out quite slowly so I definitely don't recommend stopping by if you're in a hurry. The menu here is massive - there is something for everyone - and overall, the food is quite solid. I had the Mexican scramble, which had scrambled eggs and chorizo, as well as a side of hash browns. I wish they included the tortillas since I can't think of any other way to eat chorizo and eggs but to wrap it in a corn tortilla, but alas, they are an extra $3 for 3 tortillas, which is pretty skimpy. Also, they don't have any spicy homemade salsa and they'll just bring you tabasco, Tapatio, or Cholula if you ask for it. If you don't mind sharing, the breakfast platter is quite substantial and could easily feed 3 very hungry people. The avocado toast looked pretty skimpy to me - a single slice of supermarket bread (about 5" squared) topped with sliced avocado and I'm pretty sure just everything bagel seasoning. Other entrees looked much more substantial in comparison, but I suppose it's good if you're a lighter eater and don't mind paying the same price as someone else at your table that will easily have twice the food. The gravy over the steak and biscuits was very flavorful, and pretty sure there were bacon bits too. The only real comment I personally have is that the biscuit was on the mushy side? It seemed undercooked or they had left it in the gravy for too long before getting to the table. Seating: tables and booths. It's not a large cafe, but it's not small either. First visit with my guy, we ordered the pancake board(?) and that was mid. Pancakes were dry and the rest of the board weren't that great either.
