We came into town for a family reunion and decided to try out this place for dinner. They have nice people working here. He got here a little before happy hour ended so they got our drinks and appetizers in before it ended. That was so nice. There was a lot to choose from the menu but I went with some Greek appetizers and my mom and uncle got the pasta dish. My aunt got the grilled salmon salad and she said it was really good. All of the food was absolutely delicious. We shared the appetizers and had a great time. All of the staff are very attentive, we didn't feel neglected at all. The ambiance is casual dining, the restaurant is very clean and attractive.

I came to Jacks with my wife family, the last night we were staying in Fremont. This place is near my wife aunt place and she wanted to come here before we leave to go home. We came close to closing time so the parking was easily to find and we got seated quickly. The restaurant was not busy at all, with some guest inside. I got the New York steak 10oz at medium rare and asked just for fries as my sides. My wife got the grilled salmon for her dish and her mom and aunt got the California burger. It took some time for our food to come outm My wife like her salmon and also her aunt with the burger since that's what she always get. My New York steak color didn't look appealing to me but they cooked it to medium rare like I requested. The steak was okay, I was more hungry than anything else. I finished it quick and was still hungry so I ordered some Hot Wings since it was happy hour price. I like the Hot wings more than my steak and I asked for no blue cheese. The issue I had while dining here was it took three attempts and 3 different people at the restaurant to finally get a refill on my soda. Our waitress disappeared, the waiter who brought our food never came back and it wasn't until the manager came to ask us how we were doing to finally give all of us a refill on our drinks.

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed them yet. Their service has been pretty friendly each time we've gone. Our sick kid wanted comfort food and when he thought of mac & cheese, he immediately thought of Jack's. He really likes their bacon mac & cheese. Plenty of parking because the mall is basically empty aside from the few restaurants and 24 hr. fitness. Pretty clean environment and restrooms. Decent number of tvs to watch at the bar. Covered outdoor area is nice too. Kitchen has open windows so you can watch them cook.

I finally went back to Jack's after several years (pre-covid time) and was inspired to give the lunch menu a try after ordering breakfast take out at the Saratoga location a month ago. This location is fairly large and the vibe is great! Excellent ambiance with lots of Christmas trees all around. The bar area is very inviting as well. We were seated promptly on a Sunday afternoon and greeted genuinely by Fee (spelling?) and also served by Amani. Fee was all smiles and we loved her positive attitude. She recommend the calamari and I knew we'd have to order that. Huge portion! Eats: *Calamari *Catfish Po' Boy + mixed green salad & ranch *Tuna Melt + fries *Patty Melt + fries I was debating between the first two and chose the po' boy-- best decision ever! Huge filet of panko crusted catfish, chilled cole slaw, and ciabatta bun toasted to perfection. Salad was a refreshing addition after the indulgent crispy calamari! They serve breakfast until 2pm and I've had the bananas foster French toast from Saratoga. It's amazing! Gonna get that next time when dining in. Happy Hour looks good too! Monday to Friday, 3pm-6pm, 8pm-close at the bar area. Parking has never been an issue. Lots of people enjoy Jack's and now I'm one of them!

Located on the outside of the mall with plenty of parking . Went on a Friday night with no wait time . Had heated outside area but choose to sit inside due to it was way to loud outside . Our server Chris was very attentive and very friendly . Everyone kept checking on the guest and all seemed very professional and alert . Portions were large and pricing is average for today's food. Food was delicious and filling. Had the Moscow mule which was very refreshing unfortunately didn't have any flavors but no problems. 100% recommend and will go again. Bonus is movie theater next door so makes it perfect location for a dinner and movie night.

Food: Lamb burger (with french fries) Was the flavor of a gyro but in burger form. Would order this again. Service: Had some bigger tables (or areas to push together) as we had a big-ish party which also included babies. The wait staff had good "handles" in lifting plates and stuff, going between kids, nicely done.

Finally after seeing Jack's everywhere, I tried it out - and it was not bad all!! Happy hour after 8p! Let's goo. Jack's is a well-known, long-established spot for classic American comfort food. They offer a great selection of small bites -- meatballs, mac and cheese, pot roast (made fresh), calamari, pasta, other entrees and fresh bread -- all of which were surprisingly good and big for happy-hour portions. Any of their sauces are really good. They've also got a nice lineup of drinks, including beer, wine, and cocktails, so it's easy to find something that fits your mood. The decor is warm and inviting, they also play sport games at the bar. They even have a private room in the back if you're planning a group gathering or celebration.

I can't believe we've been coming here for three years now! It's become a staple on our Sunday afternoon restaurant list. We had never been for breakfast before, but this past Saturday my son had an early basketball game and didn't have time to eat beforehand. We got there around 11 a.m. and were seated right away. Our server greeted us quickly, took our drink orders, and got the kids' entrées started. She was very friendly, but unfortunately, I didn't catch her name. She had to go on break, and another server took over. We'd actually had him the Sunday before for lunch -- his service is a bit standoffish, and he seems like he doesn't really enjoy helping guests. It wasn't terrible service, but definitely not friendly either. Anyway, the food was great and everyone enjoyed their meal. The absolute star of breakfast for me was the hash browns -- perfectly crunchy on the outside, fluffy and creamy on the inside, and really well seasoned. We'll definitely keep coming back whenever we're in the mood for their delicious food.

This used to be our favorite spot for breakfast and brunch, honestly one of the main reasons we'd even come to this mall. My usual is Elena's omelette, but lately it feels like the chef might have changed. The last one was a bit burnt, lacked cheese, and felt like it was missing something. Service is still fast, and our kids love the pancakes from the kids' menu, so that's a plus.

Been eating here at Jack's since the middle of the pandemic (2021) and so glad they've been in business since then at this location (i.e. especially in a declining mall). Great service and yummy foods! I still visit frequently for meals (breakfast & lunch) and occasionally for their happy hour menus. The restaurant is spacious (high ceiling) and lively for sporting events at the bar with the large TVs with atmosphere. I'm biased but I know there are several Jack's restaurants in the SF Bay Area but this one in Newark is my hometown favorite. I expect the same level of experience if I visit other Jack's I believe. Hope to meet fellow fans of Jack's here in Newark in the future. Cheers!

Always a pleasant experience here at Jack's! Staff is always lovely & quick to serve. The menu is pretty extensive & the food is delicious. There's plenty of seating & our party has never had to wait to be seated even during busy brunch hour. Def need to stop by for Happy Hour in the near future.

I stopped by Jack's and tried a few things. The Mediterranean sampler was really solid and flavorful, definitely the standout. The hollandaise on eggs Benedict was on point. The blueberry pancakes though, not great! They tasted a bit raw and just weren't doing it for me. The corn chowder soup was fine. Service was decent, no complaints there.

Service and food were excellent! Everything showed up quickly and exactly how we ordered it. Pretty busy for a Thursday night. The fish and chips were done just right as well as the calamari. Burgers were very filling and tasted great!

I have eaten there for lunch and dinner. Is this place open for breakfast?

Yes it is. Breakfast is served from 8a-2p

Is there a cost incurred for the private room, or are you automatically placed there when reserving for large parties (10-15 people)?

Private rooms typically require a minimum spend. A party of 10-15 won’t necessarily be seated in a private room. To inquire about events / private rooms, please visit: https://www.ilovejacks.com/private-events

Do you have a private room for 20 people?

We sure do! Please visit ilovejacks.com/private-events — we’d love to help you plan your event!

    Easy parking. Large parking lot.

May I bring my dog during outdoor dining?

What time do they serve breakfast until?

    Outdoor dining.

Do they have indoor or outside seating right now?

Not right now due to Covid. However, when it is safe, they do have outdoor seating that is convenient for dining during pandemic restrictions.

Do they do cash as payment?

Yes, they do. We paid with cash.

Great to see this place has wifi. I need a quiet place with wifi to work remotely. Does this place play loud music in the outdoor seating area? many restaurants even with outdoor dining have very loud music which makes it hard to work/take calls.

They play loud music inside and outside. Not able to work/take calls.

Are you reopen for indoor dining yet?

Yes! Indoor and outdoor dining, available.

Are they open for take-out during the pandemic?

    Yes they are.

Are they open on New Year's Day?

They should be the worst case scenario you could call and see if they have special hours I know they're open today.

Although it was super busy and the booths were mostly filled, he assured us that he would make it happen no matter what and to not worry about it. I'm very thankful he lived up to his promise and we were seated in a large booth (which is so helpful when you have a toddler who is trying to escape all the time during meals.) Angelica A. our server was also super nice and checked on us often throughout the meal. I thought the food came out quite quickly despite how busy/packed it was during dinner time and we really appreciate how sweet she was to us. Thank you! [[ Food ]] I think this is where BJ's is just so-so in my opinion. The food wasn't amazing and it wasn't bad but it was fine. There wasn't anything we got that really blew us away on how delicious it was but I think it was on-par for BJ's in general. We got the following: 1.) Prime Rib Special (comes with Soup or Salad and a Pizookie) 2.) BJ's Favorite Pizza - Shareable 11" I think the Prime Rib Special was a good deal since it came with 3 things bundled but the Prime Rib itself was just okay and the asparagus side that came with it was very hard. For some reason the pizza's cheese felt very sparse and I don't think it melted all the way so it wasn't gushing with cheese when we picked it up. Not sure what happened there but that was a bit disappointing. The Pizookie however is 5/5 once again and nothing beats a warm cookie with multiple scoops of ice cream. It makes me just want to come back to BJ's for the pizookie alone. Star of the show.

It's a little pricy for the average consumer for consistent visits, but for special occasions birthdays, Mother's Day, the Market Broiler is a great place to dine.

On their special menu they had their strawberry matcha which I'm already a fan of, but this strawberry matcha is my favorite in all the area so far. The avocado toast was also very good, the red onion on top paired well with the avocado and cherry tomato, the fact it came with 2 eggs as well also justifies it as a meal in itself. I also ordered the half order or at this restaurant "fun" size I think Is what it said on the menu, of the tres leches French toast. It's also my favorite French toast because it's not overly sweet like some other tres leches' that I've had, the strawberries tasted very fresh too. The side sausage and bacon were good also however, the side link sausage it's not as greasy or salty as other places which I enjoyed a lot, because although it seems like hearty food it didn't feel heavy at all. Hope that Breeze Cafe stays around, bring everyone here. TLDR; awesome food, great service, try the strawberry matcha, and tres leches French toast
