Highly recommend.. great atmosphere, good vibes.. friendly staff.. And if course Saki is always there to say hi or to help... My favorite place to go on the weekend or before a concert or an event... Try the Mexican prawns for a appitzer.. delicious..

My buddy and I had the seafood pasta. I had the cream sauce and he had the red sauce both excellent. The wife had lamb and loved it.

About 10 years ago, Weekly went here for lunch and since retiring, I came back recently and was pleasantly surprised Saki he still owns the restaurant and has made wonderful improvements to the whole decor and vibe. If you wanna have that throwback feeling to classy restaurants with excellent service and food choices... This is a wonderful choice!!

Karaoke night, the last Wednesday of every month!

I go there for karaoke nights the last Wednesday of every month. I wish you were more nights. The food is top notch ! People are very friendly ! I always have a great time there. It's a great place for a romantic dinner also, Carla West is the best sounding and the best karaoke host I've ever seen. I have operated my own karaoke company for over 20 years. Carla is the best.

The stunning decor, the delicious food, and the outstanding service continues to shine! The best restaurant in Fremont!

Stopped in for dinner on New Year's Eve. Arrived early for a 5:00pm reservation. They had a special menu for the night. I had the prime rib which started with a salad, pasta, the main course then a dessert. Service is always great! Food was delicious and prime rib was good but not as tender as i like. All in all a great evening. Had I known about the party I might of registered. We usually go to Sakis Spin A Yarn once or twice a year.

The prime rib here was amazing. I asked for English cut and they were able to do it. Now I don't have to drive all the way to house of prime rib anymore. Taste the same, so yummy! The service here is really excellent too! Will be bringing my friends here so they can experience the amazing food and service. I highly recommend giving them a try. I was here during covid and it's was just okay, but I came back a few months ago during restaurant week and the food and service was excellent, but forgot to leave a review. But came back again last night because it was sooo good the last time I was here, and it was still soooo good so I had to leave a review now. It's like consistent.

Although I've lived a large part of my life in Fremont, I've never been to Spin A Yarn Restaurant- until yesterday! Even with a big sign, it's somehow easy to miss. Regardless, they have a private parking lot that is quite spacious. Even on a busy Wednesday evening, I was able to find parking easily. The restaurant is very cute. It has that classic, low-key, homey feel to it. It's a little dark and chill, which is what I like. They were very busy last night but we were seated immediately. A nice table for two that was just the right size near the firewall area. Our server was very nice, attentive, fast and informative. She was able to answer all of our questions without any hesitation; she really knew her menu. The food was magnificent. I ordered the eggplant parmesan which comes with a side of mashed potatoes and veggies. It was a good portion size and filled me up without feeling heavy. The bread brought to the table when first seated was to die for. We had a couple of glasses of wine that we thoroughly enjoyed. The server comes back and refills your glass from a separate, smaller glass on the table. That was pretty cool. Overall, I had a great experience here. The service was good. The food was good. The Christmas decorations were excellent. They had the Warriors game playing at the bar, making it easy to peek every now and then to see how the game is going. Just a good time in general. I plan to be back soon and often!

What can I say- yes- and yes again. I have been very lucky lately . Get the rib eye - get the rib eye again. You will be happy you did. I've been getting good service lately. I'm truly lucky. The waiter was helpful and he was right on the money with the rib eye. I don't eat big cuts usually. But this time . I splurged and I'm in love. Marbled and very juicy- the veggies are crisp and fresh. I will be back

It's crazy that I've watched this restaurant on Kitchen Nightmares (Gordon Ramsey's show) but haven't gotten to try it until now. TL;DR = The food is "okay". Service / Ambiance is great though. [[ Location / Restaurant ]] It's on the curve of Warm Spring's Blvd and the sign for the store is humongous so you cannot miss it. They have a large parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue as well. The Restaurant itself was decorated very nicely for the holiday season and it was very lively inside. Lots of people at the bar enjoying themselves and everyone smiling and having a good time. I think there is definitely good vibes there if you choose to eat inside. Even though I was doing a to-go order, I thought everyone was very friendly and they made the process of picking up pleasant. [[ Food ]] As the TL;DR stated, the food is just alright. You can get variations of the same food at other restaurants that taste so much better. (E.g., House of Prime Rib has WAYY better prime rib than here). We ordered the following: 1.) Appetizers - Crab Cake 2.) Appetizer - Calamari 3.) Entree - Lamb Shank 4.) Entree - Prime Rib (market price) 5.) Sides - Mac & Cheese 6.) Sides - Garlic Fries The only thing I would order again here from all of the above is the Crab Cake. Even though you only get 1 Crab Cake for for $18, their Old Bay Mayo sauce for it and the actual Crab Cake itself was delicious. The rest, again, just tasted normal. The flavors were all there for each dish but there was nothing special about them and felt like it could have blended in at any other restaurant which is not great. You won't be disappointed by the food itself but nothing really stood out. The restaurant also tacks on a 4% state surcharge on your bill to keep up with the high COL. If you aren't a big fan of these "extra" charges, just giving you a heads up about it now. [[ Conclusion ]] Although I would love to give it a 5 star review for a local Fremont restaurant, I really think you can find better food elsewhere. If you are here for the good vibes and great service, I think this is a great place to go.

Surf and turf - NY and colossal prawns

Walked in not sure of what to expect on a Saturday night. All the reviews were good. Would we be underdressed? We saw ladies with dresses and men with shirt and ties. I'm guessing there was a special event happening. Aside from that there were people outside. When we left we saw a bride in her wedding dress. Looks like a place for regulars and loyal customers. We were greeted by what may have been the manager or owner and quickly seated in one of the big cream colored high back booths. From then on it was bam bam boom. Drinks, food and everything else you would imagine for a top notch dining experience. Perusing the reviews I saw pics of a server everyone had commented about named Keith. It was great when he walked up to our table. I wanted to say to him. Did you know you were like Yelp famous? There was not one moment when the flow of things was out of sync. Everything we ordered came out rather quickly. All our selections were good. Bread and butter ++A - they gladly brought more when we got our food. The best ice tea that never went without a refill. Caeser salad was perfect. They split it for us Rigatoni was average for sauce flavor. Scalloped potatoes were nice. Surf and turf was plentiful and cooked to order. They included steak sauce and butter for the prawns that looked like small lobster tails. Dessert was great as well. Tiramisu and cheesecake. Plus coffee. At this point we were so stuffed. Boxed up half of my dinner plate to take home. While dining was quiet and private, it hit a point when music and live singing began. We enjoyed the eclectic variety of eras from Elvis to Santana and lots of other iconic music. It was a pleasant atmosphere for dinner and needless to say Keith was excellent. Service from a pro. We need more of this in the restaurant industry. The attention to details and bar he sets is high. Will we return? Yes!

Ceasar Salad

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant for a work event and was really excited because I'd had it bookmarked for quite some time. The inside is more spacious than it looks and there's plenty of parking behind the building. We had our own party/conference room and there was a set dinner menu for us to choose from. The room had its own tv and speakers so I assume they host a lot of events. -Ceasar salad: can't go wrong with this classic salad! -Short rib: amazing presentation and HUGE portion, the meat was so tender that it fell right off the bone, mashed potatoes were super buttery and creamy -Tiramisu: perfect ratio of ladyfingers to mascarpone cream, not too sweet There were several other items on the menu that looked good. Everything seemed pretty pricey though so it'll probably be for another special event next time I'm here!

Coconut Cream Pie

Was in for a work trip and met a dear local friend here for dinner. We picked, due to location and reviews. We had a 6P Rez on a Thursday and it was not too busy which was nice for us in doing a ton of catch up. We had a lovely booth and received 5 star friendly service from Keith! We ordered the spin a yarn "prawns", prime rib dinner, mushroom pasta and coconut cream pie. The food was good/solid. They give you French bread, plenty of it... I will say the "prawns" did not seem like prawns given size, taste and texture but the sauce was good. The coconut cream pie was fantastic!

There is a nice seafood display similar to open fish markets on the wharf selling crab and assorted fish. The service is excellent. Our server was attentive and helpful. The restaurant manager stopped by to see how everything was. Build your own (petit filet and 5 oz lobster) - 4/5 You have a selection of choices of what to select on the "Build your own" selection. The base price starts off at $29.95, then you select your food options. There's an uncharged on the most popular selections like lobster and steaks. My lobster was cooked to perfection. Very tender and sweet. The filet was pretty small for the up-charge, and was slight over cooked from the medium rare I ordered. But was still tender and good. The grilled asparagus was a $4 up-charge and you only get 3 spears of asparagus. With the up-charged, my dish, the price was over $46. Lobster Roll - 5/5 The Lobster Roll was very delicious. You get some Lobster tail, but Lobster claw meat is more prominent (see pic). Still the spices along with the clarified butter made this roll very tasty and delicious. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Market Broiler. It's a little pricy for the average consumer for consistent visits, but for special occasions birthdays, Mother's Day, the Market Broiler is a great place to dine.

It's just a little cold in there for some reason. We started with a watermelon spritz and the inji-puli lotus appetizer since we'd never tried anything like that, and it was very yummy and had such a nice crispy but soft texture. It was also a good portion for all four of us. We got the goat curry and the chettinad spice vegetables, and a few parathas to share. We were afraid it wouldn't be enough but the parathas are actually very filling, and also have a really great texture of both crispy and soft, and delicious flavor. The curries were good, could have used a bit more salt but good spice. The stars of the show were the desserts - this deserves its own section because omg I'm still thinking about the desserts!!! We got the gulab jamun brûlée - an amazingly well done take on creme brûlée with a perfect top, easy to crack and beautifully flavored. The filling was amazing and sweet and so so yummy. They also were kind enough to give us a complimentary chocolate cake which was absolutely amazing. I'm generally not too impressed by chocolate but the quality of this cake was phenomenal with perfect sweetness and richness. I need these two again !! Definitely recommend coming here for an occasion.

Wow. I've never been to an Indian restaurant this posh before -- the moment I walked in I was like,…read more"woah." The space is absolutely beautiful, which explains why reservations are so hard to come by. I somehow snagged a last-minute outdoor reservation for four, but three more people joined us at the last minute. When we arrived, I asked a gentleman who looked like the manager if we could move indoors because it was cold. Even though they were very busy, he found us indoor seats in a perfect spot -- we definitely got lucky. We were a party of seven, half of us vegetarian. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share, and everything was great, but the vegetable biryani stole the show for me. I don't come from India, so take this from a non-native -- it was hands down the best veggie biryani I've ever had. The flavors were incredible, and it came with raita and a chutney that paired perfectly. I kept thinking about it even after trying everything else. Other highlights: the gunpowder idli was mind-blowing, and the lotus root appetizer (my first time trying lotus root) was a delightful surprise -- great texture and flavor. The dosa was soft and exactly how I like it (I'm not into crispy dosa), and the paratha with the vegetable curry was delicious too. The meat dishes my friends ordered got rave reviews from them as well, but I was still daydreaming about that biryani. Service was excellent -- the staff were kind, patient, and especially attentive to the kids in our party. When the restaurant is busy there can be a wait for food, but trust me: every bite is worth the wait. Highly recommend Anantara if you want a beautiful dining experience with outstanding food.

We parked in a tight space and opened the door to a full waiting area. It was about 5:30 PM. Yelp said to get ready to be seated. Someone that was after us was seated first so I went to the waiter to ask about it. He immediately sat us at a table. We ordered a lot: lobster roll, crab cake, clam chowder, the bag of shrimp, crab legs, and clams (i think?) with the spiciest sauce. Clam chowder: worth ordering. Id order this again. It exceeded my expectations. I might even say it was good or even slightly better than ones found at santa cruzs pier. Crab cake: pass on it. It was nicely cooked. Moist in the inside and crunchy on the outside. The crab blend wasnt my cup of tea. Lobster roll: get if you love lobster hoagie bun - yum! Lobster filling was missing some flavors. It tasted like lobster and hoagie bun. I wanted more of a creamy mixture. The bag: there was a LOT. Expensive at $78. Very spicy! So get it if you like spice. We did. I cant say to get it or not to get it. Loved that we were given bibs. Loved our waitress who checked on us. It is a family business. Would come back if craving for clam chowder. I would get everything else somewhere else and eat the seafood in the bag only if i had mad cravings and didnt want to drive farther.
