Five Guys is one of my favorite burger places to visit. I came here this past Wednesday, and as usual, the food was fresh and the customer service was great. I normally order the Little Bacon Cheeseburger, but I think this time I accidentally ordered the regular Bacon Cheeseburger. Either way, it was delicious and very filling. The ingredients always taste fresh, and the burgers are consistently good. My husband usually gets a cheeseburger and absolutely loves their original fries. His favorite treat is a milkshake with peanut butter, chocolate, and cookies & cream mixed together, and he says it's always amazing. The restaurant is always clean, which I appreciate. The only issue during this visit happened in the restroom when the paper towel dispenser came loose and fell down. It almost hit my daughter, and it came down pretty hard. I mentioned it to one of the employees, and she took care of it right away. I appreciated how quickly she addressed it because I didn't want anyone else to get hurt. Overall, this is still one of my go-to burger spots. Great food, friendly service, and a clean restaurant keep us coming back. read more

My wife, son and I enjoyed another delish and filling lunch at Five Guys the other day. My wife and I ordered Lil' Cheeseburgers, our son ordered a Cheeseburget and we shared a regular order of Cajun Fries. We also ordered soft drinks as well. Our food came-up pretty quickly and our Cheeseburgers and Cajun Fries were nice and hot. Our son ordered his Cheeseburger " All The Way", but no onions. My wife ordered hers "All The Way" and I ordered mine "All The Way, but no tomatoes". We always enjoy the food at Five Guys. Their service is friendly and fast. Feel free to refill your soft drinks at the Coke Freestyle Machine, grab some ketchup and extra napkins too. The restaurant was clean and the other customers seemed to be enjoying their meals too. It never gets too noisy and they also keep the restrooms clean. Parking is plentiful, as well. read more

The cashier taking my order was so nice--she had such a happy, positive vibe definitely made the visit even better, esp being my first time at this location lol I ordered a Little Bacon Cheeseburger (all the way) and added grilled jalapeños. The burger was super juicy, patty cooked perfectly, and full of flavor. I forgot they don't have ranch, so I got BBQ sauce and A1 on the side--honestly, the A1 was a game changer I literally inhaled everything. 10/10 today! read more

This location of five guys in fremont,ca is fantastic! Short lines, plenty of parking, quick service, friendly employees, clean facility! I went here for a quick snack and ordered medium fries and a chocolate, oreo crumble milkshake! (YUMM!!!) . The service was super quick not even 5 minutes had I received my order. Everything was perfect except one thing, my french fries were SUPER salty.. I was quite sad but hungry so I still ate some until I couldn't handle it anymore. I hope they don't always salt their fries like this as it looked like it was snowing salt in the cup lol. Anyways I would come back again but I would probably tell them specifically when ordering to not salt it all and just salt it myself. read more

We ended up waiting longer than expected because we did not confirm we were on our way to start food prep despite adding a pick up time for our order. The food was good - burgers were quite large even the small burgers were too much for my 7 year old. Five Guys is one of the best fast food chains in the burger industry. Everything is made out of peanut oil and the way they prepare food is amazing. I got here and am the only one in the restaurant during the night. I also like how the place is very clean like they never left a spot hanging. The theme of the restaurant fits to the atmosphere of a burger place since its colors are red and white. Ordered small fries and man...the portion is really big for something that is supposed to be a size of small. Also, if I remember correctly, the cheeseburger has two patties while a little cheeseburger only has one. This Five Guys franchise is the worst. The past few times I have been there, I have had to return my hamburger or fries and sometimes both. I've been to other Five Guys and they're much more generous with the fries. Plus the fries are fresher. But this Five Guys has issues and it looks like I'm going to have to drive to the Five Guys in San Jose if I want a good burger and fries. On a positive side, the nice lady at the counter made sure the new burgers were cooked correctly. But it seems to take 2 attempts to get a warm and delicious burger. No special ambiance. Which is a plus. **** What I got: - medium Cajun fries: SALTY as heck... threw away 70% of it BUT it was nice of the staff to put the extra fries in the bag. 1.5/5 Stars - veggie burger: not too bad. Stopped here the other day and enjoyed a hearty lunch. My son and I hadn't been here in a few months, since we've been going to the one on Brokaw and the consistency at this location had dropped-off a bit. However, we were in the area and wanted to give it another try and I'm glad we did. Both my son's cheeseburger, my lil cheeseburger and our lil cajun fries were delish. Our burgers were juicy and cooked just right. In addition, I like how they don't skimp on their toppings. Our order of lil cajun fries was plentiful and seasoned well. The new Coke freestyle machines were a nice surprise and are easy to operate. I really enjoy all the selections these machines offer. Awesome baby cheeseburger oh my goodness feels like one just off the grill. It was so yummy and the hotdogs. My husband said were incredible and the melt patty melts. Oh my goodness and the french fries they're the best! Quite expensive I would say because everything is all the cart so for 3 to 4 items it was $45. I like Five Guys in general, but I think this location is just fine. It's clean enough, the staff are fine, and the food is just like all the other Five Guys. Nothing is good enough to write home about, but it's a decent place to get a burger and the cajun fries are always good. I will say that one thing I dislike about Five Guys is that I always end up spending more money than I want to because it is just weirdly expensive for fast food? I much prefer In-N-Out for the price and the quality of food itself. Delicious super huge tasty juicy burgers. I ordered for pick up since you can no longer eat inside or out due to Covid but I had a huge burger with tons of fries that was so amazing!! Juicy but yet well cooked and fries for about 3 people!!! Note to self: next time get small fries. I added mushrooms and grilled onions to my cheeseburger and the scary thing was I ATE ALL OF IT!!! Thats how good it was. Great for lunch or dinner. Miss the days when we could eat the peanuts but hopefully we will again some day soon. read more

WHEN: 01-09-22 Here in the Bay Area, I feel like after every exit on the freeway, there's always a burger joint! This Five Guys is no exception, as it's right off the Automall exit. I went inside and ordered Little Fries (Cajun) and a Little Hamburger (All The Way). The cashier who took my order was polite and gave good recommendations. I tasted my cajun fries. It was overly salty. Not unbearable for me, but I know people who couldn't stand the amount of saltiness in the fries. I guess I'm used to the saltiness in the fries because of my experience being around too many salty people. I like how the burger is wrapped in foil. When I unwrap it, it's like I'm opening Christmas presents! Except this present would spill oil or juices on my clothes immediately after I unwrap it. Despite that, the burger still looked amazing! The burger was decent. Maybe under seasoned? It tasted bland. The burger looked well-put together, but the toppings kept falling out after every bite. Five Guys is located in Pacific Commons in Fremont. I hadn't been to this East Coast-based Burger chain in a long while. It was raining, and it looked like there was little foot traffic there -- plus I was craving a messy Burger -- so I made the trek over. The staff were attentive and friendly as I glanced over the menu. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and Cajun Fries plus a Soda. While waiting, I munched on some Peanuts (a specialty of theirs). They make everything from scratch when you order, so there's a little wait for the food. My food was ready, and it was worth the wait. The Bacon Cheeseburger was huge as was the side of Cajun Fries. It was a messy but delicious eating experience. Make sure to get lots of napkins. Definitely should visit here more often. read more

I recall my little brother's excitement at the grand opening of this location (as well as many others) in CA. With great hype, comes great responsibility. For me, this burger joint simply doesn't deliver. I've come to this location about once a year for the last 5 years or so and the quality of food/cleanliness of the joint seemed to be declining. What usually draws me in is the crisp Cajun fries, which I am still somewhat fond of. But unless your diet consists of just fries, I can't recommend this place. My last burger, which should have been made fresh to order as there were no other patrons there ATM, was completely soggy and abused looking - see photo below. For 7$ fast food burger I expect something pretty good. I mean, in-N-out makes a delicious and appetizing looking burger at a 1/3 of the cost...I think most times I've gotten burgers here I was a bit disappointed in retrospect. I think this is where we say good-bye, PC five guys. Please don't try to tempt me with the smell of your fries next time I walk by. We both know it's time to move on. read more

Recently, I've been visiting many Five Guys locations around the Bay, and while they are all consistently good across the board, I must say that this branch takes the slight edge. I always order with a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, but unfortunately, many places do this rather poorly, with pieces that are not quite large enough. Lettuce bits end up flopping everywhere, with sauce dripping all over the my hands and table. That is certainly not the case here. The extremely helpful and considerate staff takes great pride in their craft, and goes beyond the call of duty to ensure that the appearance and taste of the burger are of the utmost quality. At every other location, I usually ask for a "burger bowl" (deconstructed, and served in an aluminum platter) to prevent creating a catastrophic mess. Here, that is not necessary. As a matter of fact, the majority of the time, I am able to complete the burger with paws completely unscathed. Also, I tend to eat late, and sometimes end up visiting near closing time. The kind workers never rush me, even if it's well past the posted closing time of 10 pm, and allow me to blissfully devour my lettuce wrapped cheeseburger in peace. P.S. Yay! I wanted to give a shout out to Joel who packed up my mobile order! I had placed a mobile order which was supposed to have been ready a couple minutes before I arrived. However, we were still waiting for the fries when I got there which I didn't mind much since I love fresh fries anyway. Joel made the fries and I saw him add an extra scoop of fries which was really nice of him to do. He really didn't have to give some extra but it was a nice gesture considering we had to wait a bit with mobile ordering. Little things matter! Anyways, the food here is consistently tasty. It's true, Five Guys isn't as amazing as In-N-Out. However, I still think their burgers are delicious! I usually get the Cheeseburger with the works (minus the tomatoes and mushroom) and with Cajun Fries. I think their fries are amazing! During my recent visit, I found out they serve milkshakes now! And best of all you can mix flavors free of charge! I got the Coffee with Oreo and it was so gooood, a bit sweet, but still good, especially with my burger and fries. Service was fine, tables were clean for the most part, food didn't take too long, and for those who have never been to Five Guys, they have boxes of free peanuts to eat while you wait! read more

Had dinner a few days ago since we haven't been to five guys for over a year or so. My aunt been wanting to try it so we did. The place was empty as we walked in around 7pm. We order cheese burgers with everything on it with fries and shake! The food arrived pretty quick. 2 of the burgers were intact as we unwrapped, however my aunts burger was just sloppy after she took one bite. Her burger fell apart and mushy, she can't hold the burger together. Our burgers were ok but the taste was just not good. I don't recall their burgers taste so bland or perhaps it's been way too long that I dot recall. As for my aunt she got a replacement burger without anything on it this time to avoid the patty falling apart. The fries wasn't good either - semi burnt and soft. I am disappointed and will not be returning for sure. read more

Larger than some other Five Guys locations this place has a spacious dining area and lots of big windows and light. A young, cheerful staff makes for a good experience but there are lots of other restaurants in this area that gives this place competition. The Alameda Five guys is cramped. Very small it was stuffed into the last corner of a strip mall... not here. Very spacious. Ambiance is great, ceilings are higher and for whatever reason the lighting was so much better - I think because most of it comes from a natural source. Music level was at a perfect volume too - unlike the Alameda location where the high volume scared me away for half a year. I guess I'm getting old. Three guys working there were just top notch. Quick to take orders, call numbers and do everything with a smile just right. Very pleasant crew there 6/20/17 at 8pm. Dining room clean, bathroom smelled like fresh flowers and I went through absolutely no trauma as I did on numerous occasion at Steak N Shake in Daily City. Burger was delicious and juicy. Cooked to my liking and prepared exactly to order. Bacon, lettuce, pickles, tomato, grilled onions, mushrooms, ketchup and mustard. Came in a plain brown paper bag just like your home lunch may have come years ago. Also wrapped in foil and with the same square napkins you probably have at home. Nice touch. There is lots of competition around this area for good restaurants, even at a price point just slightly higher than here that have more options on the menu - hence 4/5 stars. read more

Okay I finally gave them another shot after many years. Not so much because I hated them, but my frequency of eating chain fast food has dwindled to about 3-4/year. And when In & Out is in the equation, there often just isn't a whole lot of room for much else. So my past opinions of this place was based on a burger here that simply had too many toppings on it. You can actually just say 2 words "everything burger" and it will appear. To simplify a burger, you actually need to tell them exactly what you want. So this is where I messed up in the past, because I didn't want to spend too much time on the ordering process. Simple burgers (3 toppings or so) are where it is at! First off, since I've last been here, the prices have gone up. According to my o.g. review, I was able to get a "meal" (burger/fries/drink) for around $10 back in the day. Now it is around $15, which is a lot more than In & Out. But for that $15, there is significantly more food here than at In & Out. I would split the fries with somebody because it is simply too much for one person (it comes in a paper cup like popcorn from a theatre). And if eating on my own, I'm not sure if I would use this place as an option. The Burger: The patty here is pretty hefty. At least a third pound, and my friend felt it was a half pound. Way bigger/heavier than In & Outs double. It was juicy and tasted pretty fresh. It was even seasoned this time. I'm giving them more credit now than I did initially. The Cheese: They still don't fully melt the cheese. So it has the texture of Kraft American Singles. Which is fine if you're 7 years old. Pass for moi. The Fries: Top notch. Since I don't do commercial fast food as often, I've lost the taste for their fries. I like simple real potatoes. And that is what they do here. Real potatoes fried in Peanut Oil which is the best oil to use IMO. Even if it is not that crisp, the essence of potato satisfies me. And they have malt vinegar, where I can turn their "fries" into English "chips", which I'm a fan of. Top notch! Also tried a Hot Dog here cuz it is listed as a Kosher dog. But very skippable as it was really salty and not really elevated. At least now I know. Now that I know more of the digs here at 5 Guys, I'm sure I'll share and use you for my quarterly fast food burger splurge. And to make that list, you have to be pretty legit. So I've been here quite a few times since my last review and I think I was extremely harsh. The burgers really aren't that bad but they just don't compare to In-N-Out in my honest opinion. I do like the free toppings concept and being able to build your own burger. The Cajun fries are still bomb of course, they probably will always be the best fries at a fast food establishment. I do like the recent addition of the hand spun milkshakes and all mix-ins are free so that is a huge plus! While they aren't my first go to place for a burger they certainly are an option when I want a break from my norm and want a bacon cheeseburger with Cajun fries. I do however still stand by my statement that they are a bit overpriced and they don't have any meal options. A double cheeseburger shouldn't cost over $7. Though the price isn't what I'd like it to be I have given them a number of tries and I find myself coming back every once in a while. I have yet to try their shakes but I do plan to as well as their bacon hot dog and maybe that will change my mind and make me give them 4 stars. read more
