Quick update. We were again in need of lunch post Trader Joe's errand run. So when the feeling hits for Chicken G's you meet it. I think whenever we call in the order, we reach some kind of centralized help desk and they put in the order for the right location. This last time we got The Big G and 6 piece chicken crispy wings. From what I recall, one thing that wasn't to my liking was that it was a bit too spicy for me. I'm unsure if it's in the sauce or the seasoning in the batter. Maybe it was just this time round. But it was definitely crispy, juicy, and lots of flavor in addition to the heat of spice. It does take a bit of time to make so you may want to call in to order and pick up if you're in a rush and don't want to wait. I know we always end up waiting a little bit each time we go and this also depends on how busy they are. We're not always in the mood for a spicier chicken sandwich, but it's nice to have once in a while and this one is not a bad one to choose!
It is so seldom that I finish a meal and immediately start thinking about my review but this place DELIVERED (literally, because we doordashed it at near 1 am). This hit like no other meal I've had. The chicken was so flavorful, juicy, and paired so well with the bread and sauces. The fries were sooooo well seasoned, and I appreciated that they charge the same as the regular fries (this entire meal was so worth the price). My family and I had the late night munchies after a wedding and this place hit the spot. I'm both grateful and sad that I'm not from around here because I dont want to think about how much of this place I'd be consuming if I lived nearby.
Felt like chicken last night for dinner so pulled up Yelp to see what was around. I was hesitant with the rating but decided to give it a try. Since it was our first time we really didn't know what to order. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Food was also made to order so our food was fresh! We ordered the two piece and two tender meals. With seasoned and plain fries. For drinks we ordered a jarrito, turkish cola, and a strawberry lemonade. The chicken was meaty and crispy. Not oily and flavorful. Had a tiny bit of a kick and the sauce to dip was really good. I went into it not knowing what the sauces were but I prefer the lighter one. The more yellow sauce was good but changed the profile of the chicken. Overall a good meal and I would come back and try their sandwiches. One thing was I thought we would have gotten seasoned potato wedges from the photo but it was regular fries. Turkish cola tasted like cola but healthier if that even makes sense. The strawberry lemonade is a must. Perfect tart to sweetness. Could do without the frills in it but it makes the drink pretty. Parking cause get busy but people are constantly coming and going. Oh yea the masala chai is a must here! So good!

Posters touts the Premium Fried Chicken served also being halal, Hand slaughtered, hand battered, vegetarian feed, anti-biotic free, cage-free, and non-gmo. Greeted quickly, courteously at counter, ordered, pd, food ready in 12ish minutes. Self-serve utensils, water by the wall. Nearby is a space for prayer. Offerings: Chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, sides, drinks, wings, loaded fries, drinks. Bites: tender meal (12.99) 2 piece tenders, toast and a side: seasoned fries, fries, coleslaw, Mac $"& cheese. 2 sauces: G sauce, tangy garlic sauce. -2 smallish tenders heavily battered, very crispy/crunchy. Tenders semi-moist juicy. 2 sauces made them deliz. Toast was ok. -Mac & cheese plentiful, cheesy. tastes wonderful, better than the usual. Not a frequent eater of Mac. Would repeat. *Chicken Sandwiches looked YuGE! Worth trying. 4.5 stars Worthy! Quality: fresh Quantity: reasonable. Mac & Cheese side = 5 stars January is Muslim Heritage Month.
Been here a couple times, and it's a good, consistent quality of food and service! The tables are always clean whenever I walk in, and the environment is peaceful. The staff is also very polite and warm. The menu is smaller than one might expect, but I find that a restaurant with a small menu usually indicates that the restaurant is very confident in the food they sell. Regarding the food, their portion sizes are GENEROUS, to say the least. Their chicken always comes out hot and juicy, and their chicken cuts are big. I need to unhinge my jaw just to get a partial bite of the sandwich! Their fries are seasoned properly, and their mac n' cheese is wonderfully melty and soft. I appreciate that they have a zero sugar Salaam Cola too, for those who are watching their sugar intake. This is a highly underrated chicken sandwiches joint, and if you're trying this place for the first time, please dine-in. Their chicken sandwiches don't taste as good as takeout. If you're dining in, notice that every bite of their chicken sandwich always has a fresh puff of steam coming from the chicken.
The chicken was freshly fried to order- end of story ! I'm tired of your big chains like KFC and Popeyes getting away with stale cold chicken and calling it fried chicken. This was well seasoned with traditional spices and piping hot. The dips tasted of home and turmeric ? They have TV screens running to entertain kids and adults . Also a small space for evening prayer for the Muslim community. Service was quick and kept the place clean . Ambiance is of your small , hole in the wall secret space serving unassumingly good food.
We came here super late, I think an hour before closing. The place was kinda easy to miss, but it's okay because it's next to a strip mall. There's enough parking and has it's section of the lot for them. The inside is fairly clean and there's self serve water next to a wash station. The person taking our order was hella nice and super patient. I ended up getting the 2 pc with mac, while she got the chicken sandwich with fries. Honestly it was hella good. The texture and flavor were there plus the chicken retained lots of moisture. I would come here again i I was in the area.
I am beyond disgusted. I ordered a chicken burger through DoorDash and was four bites into my meal before I flipped it over and found a large patch of fuzzy blue/grey mold on the bottom of the bun. This is a massive health hazard and completely unacceptable. I've never had this happen at any restaurant in my life. The fact that the kitchen staff didn't notice this while preparing the sandwich shows a total lack of hygiene standards and quality control. I've stopped eating immediately, but since I already consumed part of it, I'm now incredibly worried about food poisoning. If I get sick, we all know exactly why. Do not eat here. Save your money and your health.
Server Sayed W and the staff currently working here has great customer service! Handed me my sandwich first to make sure it stays fresh and hot snd gave me my fries after it was ready. Really good quality and taste, good quantity and quality for a good price! Really friendly staff, super nice, would love this team that is working right now that served me to be here everytime im here! Great clean environment, really good lighting, and amazing spot! would recommend. (didnt add my fries photo, ate it lol)
My teenager really wanted me to try the Loaded G Fries at Chicken G, and I'm so glad I did, I wasn't disappointed! The fries were perfectly crispy, the toppings were generous, and that sauce on top? Absolutely amazinggg...it pulled all the flavors together perfectly. The portion was huge, easily enough to share (but honestly, I almost didn't want to haha). Every bite was packed with flavor, and you can tell they really put care into their food. Already planning my next visit to try more menu items. These fries are a must-try!
I ordered the combo 1 and paid extra for the mac-cheese, but never did not get my money's worth. The chicken itself is not bad because of the seasoning although I wish that next time they'd get the ticket right and give their paying costumer the exact food that they ordered and paid for. Never going to order again at this place. Way too pricey

Juicy, freshly fried wings -- but four pieces would be the sweet spot I spent way too long deciding between the chicken sandwich and the wings, and eventually ordered the six-piece crispy wings with an extra tangy garlic sauce. The wings were larger than I expected. They had a craggy, heavily textured coating that was very crispy when fresh. The breading was on the thicker side, but the chicken underneath was genuinely juicy. When I pulled one apart, the juices actually ran onto the toast underneath. They were also extremely hot right out of the fryer, so give them a couple of minutes before biting in. The wings themselves were not spicy. They had a fairly straightforward savory seasoning and were flavorful enough to eat without sauce, which is important because this was not a case of sauce rescuing dry or bland chicken. The yellow tangy garlic sauce, however, was much hotter than I expected. At first I thought the heat was coming from the wings, but it was definitely the sauce. It had a strong combination of acidity, garlic, and spice, and a little went a long way. The white sauce was milder and easier to use throughout the meal. The wings came with one slice of toast cut in half. It seemed like an odd pairing at first, but it made sense once the chicken juices started dripping onto it. The toast absorbed the juices and also helped balance the richness and heat. The six-piece order was $13.99. That is not especially cheap, but the wings were large, freshly fried, and very juicy, so the portion felt fair. My only issue is that fried chicken this rich becomes repetitive after a while. The first two pieces were excellent, the third and fourth were satisfying, and by the fifth I was starting to feel the grease and heavy coating. Overall, Chicken G's does the fundamentals well: crispy exterior, juicy chicken, and wings that taste good even without sauce. I would come back, but four wings would probably be the ideal portion for me next time. read more
If you like food with a slight kick of spice, then this place is for you. Chicken G's serves chicken sandwiches, fried bone in chicken, and Chicken Tenders . I had their Chicken sandwich. It was one which did not have a "spice" warning logo... but underneath the deliciously crispy batter, there was a very noticeable spice (my tolerable spice level is hot Cheetos, and this was slightly spicier than that). Beyond the spice, the chicken itself was spectacularly cooked. The interior was quaint. They had two large posters with a few tv's one playing Ted Talks without sound. They also had a prayer area which i thought was nice and well maintained. The bathroom: A single person restroom tucked in the back of the storage hallway. (The same hallway the staff uses to go to the back of the kitchen). It is decently clean with a larger sink and a toilet that even has a bidet. Above the door, there is a sprayer nozzle that is a bit worrisome since anyone who enters the restroom walks directly underneath this. The kitchen had an obnoxiously loud mechanical squeaking noise... not sure what it was but we just tried to ignore it (which was very difficult to do). The order: The Big G (Chicken Sandwich) -Had a large, thick, and very juicy fried chicken. The batter is knurled with a great crunch! Even though it had some heat, it was delicious!!! If you want more heat, there are options on the menu. This could easily be the best chicken sandwiches I have had in the area... if it weren't spicy. Comes with a side, and I chose seasoned fries (the seasoning turns out to be very spicy). Combo 1 -This combo comes with 2pc bone in chicken and a side. This chicken comes with the same deliciously crunchy batter as the Big G, and it too has a spice level I was not expecting. As for the side, this time I went with regular fries, and it helped tremendously to cool down my mouth from all the hot spices/seasonings going on. Definitely worth a try if you can handle and enjoy hot Cheetos. But if you can't, then I recommend skipping this one. But the delicious chicken batter might be worth the spice pain. read more

Driving through town and a little hungry. My husband and I don't always have the best luck when looking for a new place. He found chicken gas online. We ordered a tender basket. 5 tenders 21.99. Seems a bit pricey. But when you see the sign that says " fresh, never frozen, hala" .... you want to give it a chance. I'm a purist. I don't want to cover it with sauce or anything before tasting. I ate the chicken with no sauce. Well seasoned and very crispy. I would come here again. read more
Big sandwiches! I got the original chicken G. Very crispy patty, thoroughly enjoyed. The seasoned fries were okay, would prefer if they were crispy rather than soft. Place is clean and well kept, good service. About 10 minutes for the food to come out, will definitely be back to try out other menu items! read more

People always complain because the Fremont food scene is so basic. Chicken G's is not your average fried. chicken place. It cost a little more, but we have to be willing to pay for quality if we want it. The standout is the quality of the chicken. You will notice it from the first bite. I said to my husband, this chicken has obviously never been frozen. He said Yeah, look at the sign. Never frozen, antibiotic feee, cage free, no hormones. And you can TELL. Also, the sandwiches and tenders are BIG. So it's not really that expensive for what you get. Smaller eaters could easily share a sandwich. And the 2 tender meal seems small, but the tenders are giant. Samit was our server and he did a great job. Very nice and patient. So go support this small local business. We can have nice things in Fremont! read more

We visited around noon on a holiday and were the first ones there. The wait to get our food was a bit long since the staff were still prepping but it was clear that everything was made fresh to order, which was definitely worth it. The fried chicken was fantastic. The inside was moist and the outside was incredibly flaky, with both the interior and exterior being well-seasoned. It was a bit too salty for my personal preference and had a hint of spiciness. The sauces that accompanied the chicken were also delicious. We also tried the coleslaw and mac and cheese. The coleslaw was fairly standard, while the mac and cheese was quite watery and soupy--not something I would order again. The Texas toast was not notable and didn't seem necessary. Overall, the star of the show was the fried chicken, which was excellent and made the visit worthwhile despite some minor drawbacks. read more
The workers are friendly and the service was okay. I requested the sandwich to be cut in half but they didn't do that. There is some seating inside. The mac & cheese were mid and were more on the wet side. The fries were decent and could have been more crispy. I think it could have used more flavor. The lemonade was refreshing and tasty. I got the Big G chicken and the naughty chick sandwich which I thought were good. Their naughty chicken sandwich wasn't too spicy either. The buns do fall apart easily. I liked the texture of the chicken. It was very crispy and the meat wasn't dry. The sauce you can request to the staff went well with the sandwich. It wasn't your typical chipotle type of sauce. Be careful of the tiny parking spots here but honestly that's the only bad thing you'll hear from this review. Stopped by this place because I heard it was halal. I'm not religious by any means and I honestly thought halal meant it would taste different. Turns out, halal just means how the animal was prepped. Learned something new everyday. Seating was plentiful and they maximized the space extremely well. big G: 5/5, one of the best chicken sandwich I've tried to date. I'm putting it as my top 2 in Northern California, falling slightly short of the famous Memphis styled on one in Los Angeles Chinatown and the famous one in Oakland. The chicken was extremely crispy yet tender and it melted like butter with every bite. It was also the size of two hands. Only thing I can say is that I wish the onions come grilled or just chopped a bit smaller. Mac and cheese: it's your typical mushy type of max and cheese but it goes so well. Must try Service was VERY fast, it was to the point where I thought my food was premade but looking back, the chefs were pumping it out non stop. read more

This was my first time trying this place and I love that it's open late. The inside is small and there's not much seating, so it's best to take your order to go. The food is made to order and the service is super fast! We got the chicken sandwich with fries. This was the biggest sandwich Ive ever seen. The chicken was super crispy and juicy. I also loved the seasoning on the chicken and the fries. We also got a side of mac and cheese. It was super saucy and cheesy, but I wish there were more noodles in it. I love that the chicken they serve here is crunchy and juicy. In addition, the portions are huge! I just wish the batter was more on the lighter side, for both the chicken sandwich and the fried chicken. I had to eat a lot of batter just to get into the chicken but at least there was a crunch to it. I was disappointed in the mac and cheese side because the noodles were overcooked to the point it had a mushy and lumpy texture. As for the service, I usually call in my order and any of the staff that picks up the phone has always been so kind and respectful. read more

This is a different type of chicken tender than I'm used to. The flavor and spices in the batter, oh my god, delicious. My eyes were too big for my stomach. I ordered a 5 piece and fries on the side, the girl probably thought I was a hungry mf, but I still have leftovers to take home! Came in and it's super quiet, girl was nice that helped me out. Overall amazing experience, and I would come back. Hopefully to try the sandwich next time. read more
Delicious!! Three of us had lunch here today. For two of us it was our first time! Two of us ordered the Big G sandwich and one of us ordered the two piece bone in meal. Everyone was happy about their humongous serving of delicious food! The chicken is tasty and juicy! The crunch on the chicken is fabulous! I don't know what's in the visiting but it is delicious! We also ordered the loaded fries which were huge and yummy too! Fried chicken over fries covered either sauce! How yummy! What ever you do get some hot sauce on the side. It's delicious!! Spicy but not too spicy, great flavor! We also ordered three of the pineapple drinks. These were yummy too, but next time we think we will have them hold the salt. Some people like the salty sweet of pineapple. Personally having Hawaiian roots, I like my pineapple sweet. The service was super friendly and helpful! Very very nice people!! The Naughty Chick spicy chicken burger at Chicken G in Fremont is no joke. It's a big sandwich with crispy chicken that stays juicy inside, and the spice really comes through in every bite. The portion alone makes it worth it, and the flavor seals the deal read more

Food: HUGE portions, but the food was just okay. I had their signature Bad Boy!, per their website "King of Pakistani food street hand battered crispy fried chicken in a premium bun with lettuce, cheese & zinger sauce." Service: Made to order walk-up style. Not a lot of urgency in greeting; tonight, no one went out of the way to be friendly; no managers on duty to refund money from an order related issue. Ambiance: Basic. Plain. Unfinished. Longer you look, the more you notice. Definitely not visiting for the decor. THEY DO HAVE A PRAYER ROOM FOR PEOPLE OF FAITH, which is special. read more
