Saw two one-star reviews written April 11th - the same day - by reviewers that only had this one review (but they were clearly familiar with the process). If you want to bomb someone because you don't like someone, pick another forum. To Yelpers, feel free to scroll down, but if you know the difference between a faker and a real review, you'll see. I ran into Firechikz while they were at Dale Hardware. I was in a hurry and had not eaten. Asked him to make up something good while I was inside. Came out to generous quantity of spicy seasoned hot wings. I mentioned seasoned, because these weren't just wings with hot powder on them - they actually had a seasoning rub. They were cooked perfectly and at just the right temperature. My impression just after eating them was that this was restaurant level food with the convenience of a truck. I LOVEDDd the churro it was so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside definitely my top favorite churro that I've had in the area!! I had the fire which in a medium spice level which was manageable, good quality chicken and everything is seasoned well. I enjoyed the fries and the texture, not too salty which was great. I like how they give you a little cup of sauce! And free lollipops !! I like the courtyard area with picnic tables and lights to sit and eat at, very pretty and good for warmer nights. A homeless man rolled up in a wheel chair with one leg. He offered his last 5.00 bucks for some fries. I was enjoying a beer at Freewheel Brewing when my friend decided to challenge my spicy tolerance by special ordering Firechikz's hottest chicken sandwich. Was very impressed, the sandwich was perfectly crispy and very juicy. Went to Firechikz this past weekend and I can honestly say that I enjoyed my experience at this pop up and that the food was pretty decent! The service was definitely the highlight of the experience for me. I was greeted with care by two women, one of which was the order taker and cook and one who was there as a kind gesture to greet customers and help the order taker and cook. I was offered free Chai Tea and a free dessert, both of which I had never tried before. I loved the Chai and I found the dessert to be decent. Food-wise, I ended up ordering their chicken sandwich with came with fries, and I also ordered a churro. Took it to go. The sandwich ended up being really well seasoned and flavorful, however my main complaint would be that the chicken was a bit overcooked and the sandwich ended up being a bit on the dryer side as a result. Still, the sauce and coleslaw and the season made it a pretty decent sandwich. Would give it a 6 out of 10 as is and probably an 8 if the chicken was not overly cooked. Made my way down here on a weeknight a couple of weeks back. I had been waiting to try this place for quite a while, but it proved to be a disappointment. I ordered a Firewich without the combo for $12. The sandwich itself is by no means bad, but it's mediocre at best. It's overly dressed with dry seasoning that causes a bit of a gag reaction with your first bite. On top of that, the sandwich is insanely small. The piece of chicken you get is about the size of a single chicken tender. It should really be advertised as a slider, there is no way this could fill anyone up. I ended up going to a second restaurant after my visit here since this barely put a dent in my appetite. The price makes it really hard to justify coming here, the customer service isn't any better. I for one will not be back, and I'd urge you to spend your money elsewhere too. read more

I was excited to hear another halal hot chicken restaurant opened, thus a friend and I happily stopped here for dinner and ordered a firewich. The hot chicken sandwich was a good size and was served with coleslaw and french fries. The chicken sandwich quickly fell apart as the sandwich buns became soggy which was surprising due to the lack of sauce. The chicken tender had a flavorful coating, however was short of a crispy exterior. Finally, the chicken seemed to be overly cooked, resulting in it to be very dry and difficult to chew. The Firechikz (Fire) chicken sandwich was absolutely delicious. I got the 2nd tier spice level and while it did have a kick, it was thankfully not enough to set my soul on fire. I'm ready for level 3 (hottest) when I go back. The fries were cooked to perfection, crispy and very well seasoned. The slaw is to die for. Creamy, yet crisp. It does not overpower the sandwich. It simply compliments the other flavors. Along with the generous portion of sauce on said sandwich, it was a medley of flavors that goes so well together. My wife had the Honey Fire Sandwich. The addition of honey only enhances the flavor while also neutralizing some of the spice. Recommended to those who aren't fans of spice most definitely. We also picked up some churros which are filled with caramel that takes you straight to flavor town. Hands down one of the best churros we have ever had. We got hooked up with a can of Salam Cola. It was my first time trying it and I was not disappointed. Amazing soda. I appreciate the fact that they have a no sugar option of the soda as well. The people working the food truck were extremely friendly and absolute professionals. You can tell they are passionate about providing the best service to their customers.
