Came here for the first time after hearing about the promo for being named a variant of "Mike" (Michelle, Miguel, Michael, etc.)! Such a unique promo for having a basic name. It was easy to order the free steak and cheese melt. Got my receipt and waited for my name to be called. It got kinda confusing because they were calling many "Mikes". I ended up waiting close to 20 min for my sub because although I told them my name was "Michelle C." they kept reading it as "Michael C." so I didn't think it was me. Since it was my first experience here, I wasn't sure how long it usually took for one to be made. We always enjoy the sandwiches from Firehouse Subs. The bread, meat and produce are always fresh. The food is ready quickly and the staff are really friendly. The restaurant is always clean and tidy too. They are also quick to take orders and fill them in a timely manner too. My family and I have enjoyed many of their sandwiches. We've enjoyed their Italian, Engineer, NY Steamer, Club On A Sub, Firehouse Hero and Hook and Ladder sandwiches. We also like the dill pickle we get with each sandwich and like when the sandwich is "Fully Involved". The medium size is fine for my wife and I, but our son prefers a large. The bread was soft and it was spongy and it meshed perfectly with the filling. I loved the pickles on the side and the mission of the organization in all! Firehouse subs are really delicious! This location is really neat and tidy which is a plus for me. So far, the subs that we have tried here prior to visiting this location again were the New York Steemer and the Firehouse Steak and Cheese; both really good subs, however the Firehouse Steak and Cheese does tend to get rather soggy from all the juices.. so just a warning. For this visit, we ordered the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket and the Firehouse Hero. The Firehouse Hero with everything on it made the sub really packed and was a bit messy to eat, but I would rather have it be packed than not :P The Smokehouse beef and cheddar brisket was good too :) if you enjoy barbeque sauce and meat, then this sub is for you. I enjoy going to Firehouse Subs not only for the clean establishment, but their subs are pretty good! Having heard of this place but never setting foot in one, the full on fire house/truck/fighter scene was astonishing! There was also a book upfront highlighting the lore and history (get this, it was founded by a community of firefighters!). You'll also be able to learn about the other locations where a Firehouse Sub has been established and the year it started. Ordering the food was a little overwhelming at first due to the many options but once settled, the sandwiches were made to order. We ordered hot subs (I got the pastrami) and they were delicious! It's not huge and it's a bit pricey but they're very flavorful. Parking was easy as it's located in a big lot. There are EV stations should you need a charge. Overall, it's a decent sandwich shop and with the rewards program, it's not bad if it's close enough to frequent. An update! We recently came here for a tuna salad sandwich. Albeit this would not be the first thing I would choose here, but since I needed to eat fish that day, it was tuna. A little more mayoed than I would like. But overall a solid sandwich. I can see why folks come here time and time again. I really should sign up for their rewards system. Probably one of the few chains where you can legitly make a better sandwich at home than them. Tried the Hook & Ladder sub from T-Mobile's BOGO deal and...it was disappointing. After picking it up and arriving home to eat it, the bottom was already soggy. Nothing special about the bland bread, the ingredients aren't better than your grocery store packaged deli meat, and overall just a very boring, regular sandwich. Yikes, $8.95 for a small turkey sandwich. It was ok, but not worth $8.95. Hubby had a medium steak and cheese, $14.95, I can't afford to eat here anymore. Regardless of the price, the sandwiches weren't worth what we paid, between one shared drink and 2 bags of chips cost close to $33.00. Due to the rising prices of dining out, I'm going to have to stay home and eat more now. We are retired and going out to eat was our enjoyment, now we have to rethink that. Bottom line, the sandwiches are not worth it and that's the last time for us. Perhaps, rethink your prices like McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King has, offer a cheap meal package, I know it has to make a difference in sales. I usually go here for lunch if I want a sub. It's a pretty good place for a lunch combo. I usually get an Italian sub and it has been consistent since they first opened. The Italian sub has everything I look for and I love adding black olives. I highly recommend asking for light dressing/condiments as it can make the bread a bit soggy--especially for take-out orders. Also ask for extra toasted bread if you plan on dining in. I'm not sure if they still have the variety hot sauce available but when they first opened, they had a whole row of hot sauces to try with your sub... will definitely have to ask around for it. read more
